A gigantic pillar of purple flame exploding from the Bazaar was his cue. Tama had watched his brother’s speech from a distance, and felt a movement in his chest that he suppose was “love” or “pride for another.” It felt alien enough that it had to be one of those things. Now that his younger sibling was poised to take over Suna was the de-facto leader, the mad scientist knew his days were numbered.
Sousuke had always been easy on him. Katsuo and Raizo knew better than to feed into his bullshit while Tama knew better than to do anything too unpreturbed around them. Shin, he never got a chance to manipulate, and Wei was way too easy. How would this next guy shake out? The blond couldn’t exactly say, but, he had a feeling that his brother’s stance on hard justice with a vision of black/white was not going to look favorably on the scientist. A shame, really, because he had a few projects that could really be a boon - but not without allowing him full immunity to certain ethical choices. Something he knew a softie like Michino would never allow.
So he was steppin out.
The guard staff was a little thinned out. Partly due to the coup about to take place, partly to the Steward being an idiot. That was something he wasn’t going to miss. Protecting the Nomads had been a far harder and noble task than he had been willing to commit to, but it was done. In the name of his daughter, his ex-paramore, and the people whom’s blood they shared…or some idealistic crap like that.
So happy to finally let go of that.
A snap of his fingers and time froze, allowing him 3 whole seconds of darting over the wall. He knew where the notches were. Where a guard would be standing to make a foothold. His body sailed over the edge when time restarted, and a strong gust of wind grabbed the scientist’s waist as he glided on into the desert…
