Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Yamato
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Sex: Female
Rank: Academy Student
General Description:
Willful - For better or worse, Yamato's willpower and determination is a force of nature. He will endure any pain, be it emotional, physical or mental.
Responsible - Yamato is above all else, someone that takes great pride in handling an issue if he says he's going to do so. If it's a problem he's involved in, or caused- be it indirectly or directly, he won't hesitate to stand up and accept the punishment for his actions as long as he deems it fair. Similarly, if it's not a punishment but instead something that needs to be done, he'll ensure that it's taken care of before anything less important is allowed to raise its head.
Kind - Born with a natural desire to help others, by nature Yamato is a kind person, who enjoys helping people. However just because he is kind it doesn't mean that some fool that thinks always sparing the enemy is a good idea, or that having mercy against killers or people who are obviously evil is a good idea- however, he does recognize that honor, kindness, and mercy has its place. Being kind to others is one of the most powerful things you can do in his mind, it transformed from him from the bloodthirsty monster that he used to be after all, and he firmly believes that it can make you many allies- or at least ensure you make few enemies.

Adaptable - Similar to his creative nature, Yamato is used to being thrown into a situation where everything he planned, rapidly deteriorates. Be it a battle that has turned out of his favor, or a lie he has been caught in. This has encouraged the ability to adjust and adapt to any situation, in combat or out.

Fast Thinker - Yamato is remarkable when it comes to thinking of plans on his feet and figuring out the solution to a problem before anyone else can usually contemplate the issue itself.

Level headed Yamato is always calm, and collected level headed. This is not to say that his boiling rage, and bloodlust do not bare their fangs no. But it does however mean that even when in the midst of his boiling hatred, he remains calm. Years of practice having taught him that losing himself to his rage causes him to quickly become the prey instead, even when angry he retains a level head and his analytical abilities. A quiet hatred like the sea, and not an explosive rage like a volcano.

Negative Qualities:
Bullheaded - Stubborn is the weakest term to put Yamato. When it comes to a situation he doesn't get his way in, Yamato will never give it up- and only ever settled for "middle ground" actually getting him to allow anyone to completely get anything over him, is practically impossible. This in many ways helps his determination and willpower- but usually, it's just a social issue.
Brutal - While in combat, Yamato is brutal and ruthless. Willing to go to any length to win, certainly- but more importantly he will pull no punches. Terrible at holding back, and believing there is no such thing as 'fighting dirty' he will happily throw dirt in an opponent's eyes, hit a man between the legs, or use a person's family under hostage to get what he wants.
Bloodthirsty - One thing Yamato has always had trouble with, is his immense blood lust. Though after his transformation he has learned to control it to a degree, under the correct circumstances and often in battle, it rears its ugly head once more.
Pessimistic - Having seen too much of the world as it is, cold, cruel, harsh Yamato is not a positive individual. Struggling with his inner demons and self-loathing he views the world through the eyes of a jaded man many times his age. Expecting any, and everything to blow up in his face.
Haunted - To say that Yamato doesn't have his own set of problems psychologically would be, quite frankly, bullshit. Constantly plagued by nightmares, and memories of his time as a slave. he often has difficulty sleeping, and if caught by surprise tends to have overly serious and sometimes violent reactions due to PTSD. This, of course, does have its benefits in his guard constantly being up, but it's not nearly enough to balance out the negatives.
Self-Sacrificial - Not exactly one to enjoy pain by any means, Yamato still has a subconscious desire to protect those around him to his last breath. To the point that many would almost deem it illogical- even if the person in question may be stronger than him, he can't help but want to use himself as a human shield. Especially when it comes to his friends and teammates, or children and women.
Sadistic - Though Yamato isn't a sadist in the most extreme senses of the word, he certainly does enjoy causing others a bit of pain, and "bullying" them in general, especially women. This isn't to say that he's abusive by any means, simply that he tends to pick on those that he is close too vocally by being sarcastic, teasing them for fumbled words or idiotic statements, and similar actions. Generally, the best way you know that you've become his friend is if he picks on you relatively consistently.
Blunt - When it comes to normal conversation, this trait doesn't come into play too much not minding a bit of playful banter by any means. However what he doesn't enjoy is arguments, and needless debates in general tending to prefer ensuring things are clear cut. If a situation is serious, he won't hold any punches, and similarly, he's the type to answer honestly even if the answer in question may get him smacked for being "rude".
Vindictive - Yamato is not one to forgive, and certainly never forget- if anything his skillset is limited to "enduring" a situation. He is vindictive, cold, sarcastic, and cruel to those that he has lost faith in. A downside of constantly giving others the chance to earn his trust, and supporting them with it once they have earned it- is that once that trust is betrayed, it's immensely difficult to earn it back. This extends to his combat, and often finds himself representing some sadistic tendencies when in battle- if someone were to harm him, tending to deal tremendously more harm to someone else in return.

Physical Appearance:
Yamato’s tanned body possesses a slim yet athletic build. He stands at an above average height of five foot five ( 165 cm) and weighs one hundred and twenty-six pounds. (57 kg). His eyes are naturally narrow and angular, being sky blue in color. They also have a dark green hinting around their pupils, giving them a blended shade when looked at closely, underneath both of his are two faint shadows. He has short bluish black hair, with his bangs falling across his forehead, and being naturally messy.
The young man's body is covered in signs of past violence, and they come to form many different scars and the appearance of old damage across his entire form. The scar's, varying from minor and barely of note to sever and obviously wounds that marks how he barely survived a mortal wound, including a massive laceration that decorates his chest and stomach two inches wide at its largest point, the thick scar tissue obviously telling a dire tale. The other more notable scar being a cross-shaped scar that has two parts, the first starting at his forehead, traveling down his forehead, skipping over his eye and re-starting at his cheek to end just below his chin. The second being a scar that starts at his temple crosses horizontally over his face and nose and ends on his opposite cheek. He has also gained a sizable scar of a beasts teeth on his right shoulder at the base of his neck as if he was bitten by a large animal from behind at some point, leaving the rest of his scars as rather forgettable by comparison.

History: Yamato's parents, Shiro and Rin, were leaders within one of the largest farming villages in the area. It had one of the most fertile of lands, and with its resources, their village lived a life of plenty. However, this was one of the reasons that many people eyed them with envy and hate. Yamato was not even six months old when his village's most hated enemies descended on them. Despite being an outsider Demon eyed Shiro was a talented warrior and leader that wielded the mighty Sharingan. Armed with his bloodline, martial prowess and his natural born ability to inspire men, Shiro led the charge against the invaders. He exhorted them,"Do not give them a blade of grass nor a drop of water." Their villagers fought with the ferocity of beasts. The bandits were beaten back after a bloody and long-drawn-out conflict. Both sides suffered a lot during the battles and lost many people. Unfortunately for Shiro, his village stood alone, and although victorious, their loss of manpower hit them hard. While the enemies had obviously more resources and warriors left. Coupled with the fact that a few other small mercenary bands allied with the enemies to get their cut of the profit. And yet the enemy leaders knew that another battle will most likely result in a stalemate. They decided to “cut off the head of the snake” and end the war.

Shiro and Rin were both invited by the enemy leaders to a cease-fire meeting. It was agreed that the place would be neutral and no hostile action would befall Kenichi er party. But that was just the theory. Shiro and Rin were both poisoned at the meeting. It was all pre-planned. Their bodies were taken outside and burned. With their enemies leader eliminated, the mercenaries attacked again and this time overtook all the land. One of the victorious enemy mercenary leaders Kenichi Satō, took baby Yamato, the son of Shiro , as a trophy and a symbol of his victory over the mighty Demon eyes. He decided in that moment of fervor, to raise the baby of his enemy. Not as his son, but as his family slave for life.

Yamato grew up in the household of a man that killed his parents and sold his village into slavery. In the household of the Warlord Kenichi Satō, from the time when he was a little boy, Yamato was treated like a slave of the house, especially by Kenichi and his wife. However, the fact that never reached his ears that he was living in the house of the man who brutally killed his parents. He was merely told that Kenichi Satō is his father. And yet he was treated with scorn most of the time, like a common slave. The hardest, the lowly and humiliating tasks were given to little Yamato. By the elder people of the Satō family, he was treated with deliberate disdain. By the youngsters, like mere dirt. Other kids of his age did want to play with him since they knew his past from their own parents but were forbidden to divulge. The child couldn't find out why everyone was so hateful towards him. He was confused. They said he was part of the "family" but wasn't treated like one. He tried to do everything correctly, and as far as his knowledge did so. But still, those were not enough for the family. Every good thing of him was scoffed at openly, while his mistakes earned him severe beatings and humiliation. Kenichi Satō, whom he knew as his father, took sadistic delight in humiliating, beating the little boy and in breaking his Will.

"You are worthless! A mere waste of flesh and blood!" Kenichi told him one day. These words were echoed by the rest of the family on various occasions until the boy started believing them. His growing years were dark and lonely. With very few to confide in, he turned to himself. He could love nor trust no one. With no place for love and care in his heart, Hate and Sadness took their place on his heart's throne. And yet, somehow he managed to keep his feelings buried. At the age of eight, Kenichi decided that now was a perfect time for him to cash in his on his investment. On the boy's birthday, Kenichi forced the young boy into the pits. The pit was a fighting arena where Kenichi and his friends forced their slaves to fight among each other, as they gambled drank and partied. Sometimes they would even throw in a wild animal or two to add even more excitement.

Adolescence "You reap what you sow."
It was not till he was 11 that he came across the truth of his past. He overheard his "father" talking with a group of his friends at his house. Full of alcohol that day, Kenichi Satō boasted and congratulated himself, not only for killing Shiro Demon eyes' lands, enslaving his people but of breaking the Willpower of Shiro's only child Yamato forever. He did not know that Yamato heard every word from a distance. Yamato seethed inside, anger and hate boiling inside him. He wanted to storm in and kill Kenichi . But he bided his time. Killing him would be too easy. No. Yamato would give him a more fitting death. Sure enough, he got a chance, some days later. This was the easy part. The hard part was keeping his expressions neutral all throughout that time. When his chance came, Yamato poisoned the whole family one evening. Strangely on that evening, the sky was alight with violent thunder and furious lightning. When all of them were dying around him, Yamato advanced on Kenichi Satō. The old man was now begging pitifully for his life. But Yamato said coldly,"You reap what you sow." He dragged Kenichi Satō outside, tied him up against a post and burned him alive with a weak fire jutsu. A fitting and swift vengeance. There was no time for mulling over the past and of his heritage. Yamato knew that after what he had done, the authorities will be looking for him soon. He would probably even get a bounty placed on his head name. And since Satō was a well-known man, his men would be looking for him too. Armed with nothing but the clothes on his back and a sword on his hip Yamato, planned to flee the country. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Before he could even, reach the country's border he was caught and arrested by the Anbu. The boy's situation seemed bleak and death or imprisonment seemed imminent. However, this was until they discovered that the boy possessed the rare ability to manipulate Chakra, so instead of killing him and wasting a valuable asset they decided to ship him off to the academy.

Within the next week, Yamato was sent to Academy. It is here that Yamato finally founds his "place", after an initial clash with another student, and finding both of them severely punished, Yamato quickly begins to adjust to his new surroundings. Channeling all of his energy, anger, and pent-up frustration on his work, he began to rapidly show excellent growth, both in studies and physical/martial development. The Academy was everything Yamato could ask for. Not only was he provided with the basic essentials, (clothes, food, and a place to rest his head after a long day of training) he was also given a purpose that was bigger than himself. For the first time in his young life, Yamato was tasked with protecting the life of another instead of taking it. Yamato is determined to succeed and protect his new home.

Your character history is excellent, however, we generally like it to include/end at how you became an academy student. (I'm not sure if this is still a WiP)

Might I suggest that because he has chakra, and because of his father, Kumogakure took Yamato on as an Academy student? Lightning had a mutation that cuts most of its populace off from its chakra to a point where they would influence the government into turning him over to become a shinobi instead of having them 'waste' him by capital punishment. Almost anyone that has chakra access was a shinobi or part of the Lightning military force in some capacity as well, so if your characters father was an ex-shinobi they would be moved by hearing your character was his son, even possibly relieved to have found him. Throw me a PM if you need anything else. :)
