Yosuke Shamamura is lackadaisical and very laid back when it comes to most of his tasks. He doesn’t like work much, and isn’t huge on being given assignments, but in a bizarre case of irony he’s someone to accomplish anything he starts. When given a task he sees it through to the end, even if it means dragging his feet to the finish line. What Yosuke does enjoy is spending time with his peers,he finds any reason to have a good time. He’s always someone to spark some fun idea, and tries to get rid of the cloud (see what I did there?) hanging over the head of close friends.
But Yosuke is very analytical when it comes to strangers. He sometimes persists with questions, which at times could get too personal and be taken the wrong way. That's why, to the normal person he may seem somewhat strange. It could be because of his nonchalant, daydreaming manner, or because of how pushy he could be when meeting new people. But he means no harm by anything he may say, no matter how rude or out there it may sound. While he tries to carry his analytical side into battle, Yosuke is very head strong when it comes to combat. When the thrill of the battle comes to him, he fights off of instincts and with a passion.
History:
He began to train in the depths of the Forrest, where he created his own obstacle course and practiced on his own every morning and every night. Increasing his Ninjutsu and Taijutsu to the best of his abilities without the help of anyone, not even (at the time) his only friend Senju Shizuka. He pushed his limits the best he could, never wanting to be fooled as badly as he did against Shieo Sensei.
A month went by since they trained with Shieo and the duo of Yosuke and Shizuka were called to train with a new Sensei. To their surprise it was one of the Cloud's own champion's! Miraku Sensei was selected to teach them the proper form of Ninjutsus and the basics they would need to carry over into their future career as Genin. He showcased a vast array of advanced Jutsus, and spoke to them about their potential and how they could continue to develop as young Genin-in-the-making. While they didn't truly learn much, the duo of Senju Shizuka and Shimamura Yosuke were left with a refurbished ambition, and a will to improve. Plus, there was a trip coming soon, a trip they will never forget. A trip where they will meet a-wait what? A new member?
They were going to the tea! Yosuke couldn't believe it, after inviting Shizuka to tag along, they boarded a ship that was led by a Kunoichi named Yuii. She was the wife, and mother to a Kaji's child, a top contestant in the tournament of the tea. There on the ship, the kids started a ruckus and Yuii had to deal with every inch of it only with the help of overseers to accompany her. Yosuke hated being on that ship for so long, even starting trouble with the son of some important Med-Ninja that he didn't know the name of. With the strange events unfolding full of fireworks bursting in the air, a flag stating that "Kumogakure has come for all your cookies," and a vast array of characters, Yosuke knew for sure this trip was going to be something to remember. Inevitably though,he ended up blowing his money off in bets and ended the vacation broke and in sour spirits. But they did meet a new companion along the way! A purple haired boy by the name of Oushi, a new member forming the trio of Shizuka, Oushi, and Yosuke.
Yosuke took his two pals out to his training location in the woods after keeping it a secret for so long. He wanted them to experience the thrill of training that he got in depths of the woods, but with a twist. They would spar against one another! He was inspired by the events of the tea, wanting to test his skills against that of his friends. First it was Oushi against Shizuka, and Shizuka won against the purple haired boy with the ox-tail quite effortlessly. But right before Shizuka and Yosuke went toe to toe, an incident turned out between Shizuka and Oushi, where Oushi seemed disgusted by her attempts of trying to resuscitate him. She grew angry, and scolded their friend, and in retaliation he admitted the truth about his shyness. Something neither of them expected. Oushi was scared of-...girls?
Yosuke participated in a training event with a strange man named Kyo-Sensei, on survival instincts. Shizuka and Oushi were there too, and so were a bunch of other Academy students that wanted to learn a thing or two from their strange instructor. The class ended up being brutal, and took a toll on Yosuke's mindset. While some left with scars, and most showed their resilience, Yosuke left the training grounds not knowing who he was and what his intentions in being a ninja were. While everyone crafted things, used their jutsus to form and cherish life, his could only destroy and make way with brutal strength. Was he put on this earth for sinister reasons he hasn't awoken to? Is that why he said those hateful comments to Asami at the end and usually thinks terrible towards the weak? Who...who is he?
Another class with the Wolf-man. Looks like Kyo-Sensei took somewhat of a liking towards Yosuke. He joined a class with two other students, a girl in a flower dress, and a strange boy with the name Kabashi. The flower dress girl ran off, showing her true weakness in fear when Kyo slit his own wrist and made it rain sulfur smelling blood above the field. Kibashi wasn't the best at Ninjutsu, but showed his stability and a sign of honor when it came to being a sword wielding taijutsu artist. Yosuke strived in the eyes of his sensei who showed his urge to kill was the power behind his chakra. Then he asked the question, what was their reason? This question resonated with Yosuke, who couldn't quite come up with an answer. Simply burning and destroying things couldn't be his reasoning for using Ninjutsu, why else would he attempt to become a Shinobi? He had a lot of soul searching to do.

Prelude
Yosuke was born and raised in Port Cirrus where his father and mother, both former Junin for Kumogakure-No-Sato, settled after their retirement. He’s a single child that aided his parents in their new business of running a trade market away from the capital and the troubles of the world. Here, Yosuke aided his parents on stacking shipments, gathering incoming packages and preparing outgoing packages, and a bunch of other boring jobs. This is where his hate for work grew, but so did his skill in the art of controlling chakra. His father, on the days off or when work was bearable and slow, would train Yosuke in how to control his chakra and the rudimentary skills of being a Ninja. But finally, after much talk and convincing by his father towards his mother they decided to apply him to the Academy where they put their son’s life at risk to go through intense training, hoping one day it would pay off and he too will become a proud Ninja of the village hidden in the clouds.Book One: Academy Student
Chapter 1: Footwork?!
Since then he has been living with his Uncle during his time in the Academy. His grades in the academy are average, maybe even a little bit above average, yet he slacks off in class and usually gets lost in his thoughts. He's usually called out on this by the teachers, his answer usually being sunken eye lids and a weak attempt to show that he's still paying attention. While his grades are average, there is obviously a sign of potential within him which is why he's in the Academy to begin with. But with his lazy attitude, it's hard to unlock that potential, at least for a normal Academy teacher. So for that, they put a special teacher on the case. Sensei Shieo, a man who was extremely normal in appearance and dull in speech, but unique in his teaching methods. Together with a peer by the name of Senju Shizuka, they hoped to survive these simple yet difficult tasks. After completing the training and realizing they were under Genjutsu the entire time, it angered him and lit a fire under him. Chapter 7: Five-Finger Discount
Yosuke and Oushi got their first mission, and it's together! Lately the shopping district has been hit with loss, a group of thieves making their rounds to the shops in the area. It’s been requested that the streets be patrolled by the duo. So they went off, and while they had time bonding they also were met with the group of thieves they were requested to take care of.
