Physical: Sayoka is a tiny little thing with a mop of vibrant pink hair, shiny violet eyes, and pale skin. She has a rather frail figure, standing at a small 4’7 and weighing a bit less than 90 pounds. Sayoka’s clothing is hardly typical for a ninja, and she prefers outfits more befitting of a schoolgirl than a warrior. Most of the time she wears a violet hoodie under a red button up jacket and a grey skirt that sits just above her knees. A pair of headphones and her trusty cassette player are also ever present, further demolishing any chance at appearing professional.
Personality: Sayoka never wanted to be a shinobi, and had no interest in the ninja arts. Unfortunately, having been born with both chakra and the blood of one of Cloud’s shinobi clans left her with no real choice in the matter. She views her inevitable career as an annoyance, and she has made an art form out of avoiding her responsibilities. Her ‘true passion’ lies in simple pleasures. She’s a hedonist to the core, and would happily spend her days sleeping, eating, and entertaining herself to her heart’s content. If she’s not napping in some forgotten corner of the village she’s gorging herself on her favorite foods or haunting an arcade, all while drowning out the rest of the world with her favorite songs.
History: Sayoka was born to the Yuriyo Clan of Cloud. Her parents were both competent and talented ninja, and she was expected to follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately for her family, Sayoka lived to disappoint. Even as a child, she had no interest in the shinobi arts. Playing ‘ninja’ bored her, and the propagandized exploits of Cloud’s famous warriors failed to hold her interest. All attempts to get her to train were met with reluctant and half-hearted compliance, and even that was only accomplished with the liberal use of threats of various punishments.
Ironically, despite her complete and total lack of interest in the shinobi arts Sayoka proved to be something of a prodigy. She learned skills that would take other children hours to master in only a few tries, and she had a particular knack for chakra control and ninjutsu. The fact that she had such natural talent but refused to apply herself drove her parents and most of her clan up the wall, but there was little they could do against her particular brand of stubborness.
They finally stopped bothering and simply threw her in the Academy once she was of age, vainly hoping the instructors might be able to accomplish what they failed to do.
