Name: Yuutsu Miya
Age: 12
Physical Description: Miya doesn't cut a very intimidating figure, standing just over 4' tall with a thin, frail looking build. Her skin is a sickly pale like the waning moon, framed by waist length, perfectly combed nearly black purple hair that cascades down her back in sheets. Dark eyes, almost as dark as her hair, stand out amid a sea of alabaster with thin pink lips, giving her the perpetual appearance of the color having just drained from her face after receiving shocking news. Often wears her hair down over one eye, keeping the other side up with a decorative hair clip.
Most days she can be found wearing more "traditional" clothing like formal dark colored kimonos especially at home or in the presence of her family, but is slowly discovering her own personal style at the academy.
Mental Description: Outwardly Miya is calm and collected, almost to the point of a seeming detached aloofness. In actuality, she's actively watching everything happening around her with intense interest. Due to her solitary home life she is naturally bookish and shy and often she has trouble connecting socially because of her lack of experience being around anyone besides her family. More often than not she finds herself wishing she could reach out and make friends, but utterly lacks the experience to do so. At times there's a glint in her eye, betraying a callous, calculating coldness not often seen in her regular personality. In any unfamiliar situations (or when caught off guard or embarrassed) she tends to resort to nearly excessive formality due to her upbringing.
History: The Yuutsu clan isn't the most well known, nor the most influential and powerful, but none could deny the fervor of their devotion to the village of Cloud... at least until Miya was born. Miya grew up the favored only child of her parents, doted on by her med nin father and village guard mother, but life wasn't always so sweet for her. From the time she was born she was plagued by difficulties with her health and the challenge of an uncommonly frail body. As a safety precaution, Miya was sequestered away deep within the family estate to keep her safe from harm or injury which could put her life at risk.
However, as she grew older her abundant ability to tap into her innate chakra reserves became apparent and hiding Miya became as much a solution for keeping her safe as it was to spare her from Cloud academy's "blood tithe". Her parents, as devoted to the village as they were, were equally aware of the ways that Cloud would make use of a child with a weak body and strong chakra to further its research. Over time while her body lacked strength her mind was ravenous for knowledge and she devoured all the resources at her disposal and was left hungry for more until finally she confronted her parents about her unusual life. She had learned much of the village's history from books and was puzzled as to why she had been kept from becoming a student at the academy with such strong innate abilities as she had and her parents were left speechless as they sat, searching for an excuse that would keep their child safe.
In the end they gave in to Miya's insistent demands that she be allowed to join the academy for the good of the village, and herself, despite her father's protests that she could end up injured or even worse dead from the rigorous training the academy was known for. Though she was much older than the average fresh student, Miya was determined to train her weak body and to bring honor to her family as her generations of ancestors had done before her.
