01. ID Card

Name: Aikayume Misaki (美咲) | ("Perfumed Love Dream", "Beautiful Blossom")
Age: 15
Affiliations: Sunagakure, Aikayume Clan (Clan Head/Priestess)
Bloodline: Tsuchimikado
Alignment: Spiritual [50% as Illusory Damage]
Rank: Chuunin |Iryo-nin
Elements: Fire | Wind | Water
Advanced Elements: Kinesis
Languages Known: Common, Runic Terran
Physical Description: Female
Lean and graceful, Misaki's 156.8 cm height is slightly under the average of girls her age. Likewise, she is rather a light-weight person with her 49.8 Kg, already worried about her looks and diet. Two distinctly vulpine ears perk up from her long, snow white hair which often carries the lingering scent of sandalwood incense typically burned in the temple where she resides. Her burgundy eyes seem to take in the world with an apathetic gaze, but the opposite is mostly true as she deeply cares for that which she considers hers and is otherwise rather quick to aid others in times of need. Her fair skin remains unblemished with the exception of the tattoos on her back that were burned into her skin by the Foxfire Blood she took within her as the new Priestess. Her aura is undeniably in spiritual balance, containing an equal amount of Yin and Yang energy and taking on the form of a faintly coloured 'barrier' of white, purple and edging deep pink hues revealing her growing mastery with the clan's Foxfire. At all times, the three snow white tails identifying her as an Aikayume are proudly flaunted.
Wardrobe: Light
Being in service of the Aikayume's temple, Misaki is commonly seen wearing the traditional attire of a shrine maiden, which consists of a white vest tucked under a red hakama. At those times, she is mostly tending to the shrines and temples by cleaning them or praying to one of the many spirits that live within the area to make sure they are properly respected and spirituality remains alive among the populace of Sunagakure. Having grown as a priestss, she sometimes leads small ceremonies, wanders in Sunagakure to give blessings or tend to the various small shrines and often goes 'bakemono hunting' to disperse hostile spirits. Naturally, as the daughter of the Priestess and niece of Azusa, the Tsuchikage blood runs thick within her veins and has grown ever since. To represent herself as an onmyouji, she was given a set of white robes with broad sleeves and a long black sash. While not the handiest for combat situations, it does allow her to hide small weapons and ofuda talismans easily, emphasizing the tricky nature of both the kitsune and their onmyouji practices.
In battle, Misaki eschews the longer robes that generally shape her appearance in favour of a more dress-like battle attire. The top looks very similar to her shrine maiden outfit, being a white vest tucked under a claret flowing dress. The dress reaches her ankles, as is often the case with Misaki's clothing, but has a split in the left side to add a sense of feminine allure and allow proper freedom of movement in combat situations. A gold-coloured sash around her waist keeps everything in place and offers the means to attach her shinobi toolbelt. On top of this attire, Misaki wears a high quality coat of black and red which covers her body from the shoulders down to the ankles and hides her arms. It proudly bears the Aikayume kamon in gold on the back.
When not partaking in any sort of duty, Misaki generally spoils herself by wearing high quality colourful kimono with a matching oil-paper umbrella to protect herself against the sun, in which she leisurely wanders through the street, goes out with friends or partakes in activities such as reading a book and drinking tea.
Mental Description: Ancestral Minx
Pride is certainly thrice-fold the carnal sin of Misaki. Firstly as a shinobi in training belonging to the Sunagakure, secondly as an Aikayume taking deep care of her long hair and vulpine tail and thirdly as a devoted follower of Inari Okami, the great Fox Spirit. This pride often pushes her to look down upon those who are not of Sunagakure, nor suffer the hardships that tease the Land of Wind. While she can come over as a bigot, her faith and loyalty both to spirituality and the shinobi of her village make her look up with a certain reverence to the heroes of the past and present alike. Misaki is otherwise rather kind of heart, not shy to help out a person in need, share a meal or lighten the burdens of the heart. Vivid and full of spirit, the trickster spirit is present and manifests itself mostly in witty remarks and teasing, revealing hints of a reliance on intellect rather than a straight-forward approach. While evasive in both body and mind, she finds it almost demonically disgusting to lie, but the brat is not a stranger in the arts of recolouring and sugarcoating the actual story.
The growth from a young girl into a young woman is as important as the growth from Academy Student into a respectable shinobi of the village, but reaching power for powers' sake is not quite her cup of tea. Born spiritual and having seen the corruption within her aunt, Misaki has decided to become a 'purifier of the soul'. Combining foxfire mastery with genjutsu and the spiritual manifestation that comes with her Tsuchimikado bloodline, she thus aims to both restore and protect the mind and the soul from any possible taint. This goal has been reinforced after encountering Maru of the Darkness, whom marked her with a Cursed Seal.
After Misaki's inheritance of the Foxfire Blood that marks one as the Priestess of the clan, the multitude of ancestors that were consumed in the past during the ritual (among those being her mother and grandmother), the typical nature of the Fox as a trickster and seducer otherwise kept sweet by Misaki's natural kindness seems to have broken loose completely. The growth from an innocent child into a young woman that should have taken form over the course of years has thus been hastened in a matter of moments with the ritual, leaving the kitsune partially confused and worried about her own drastically changed nature but all together just as wily and alluring as, well, every other kitsune? Though still kind and passionately taking down corruption, that innocence has almost completely been consumed by the natural heat of her vulpine ancestry. Warm, seductive and sensual, boys better be ready to handle this handful of trouble.
Current Residence: Aikayume Shrine
The Aikayume Shrine resides in the Diamond District on the Aikayume clan grounds. The main shrine is open to the public (rare for Diamond District), and dedicated to Spirits, Kami, and Deities of all sorts, in the belief that all powers from the most well known to the most obscure, deserve respect. Although the Aikayume are descended from fox spirits in particular, they hold much reverence towards all spirits of nature in general, and are prone to offering brief prayers and words of thanks as a gesture of respect in hopes of continued fortune. While accepting of others, the Aikayume are extremely intolerant towards demons and those with darker ancestry, finding their very presence to be offending and impossible to relax around. Believing all demons are built on malice and deceit, they are repulsed by them at best, and outright hostile at worst.
[Lore by Azusa]
Custom RP Jutsu:
Onmyoudo - Nine Sages Celestial PurificationShow
Name of Jutsu: Onmyoudo - Nine Sages Celestial Purification
CRPJ's Effect:
Combining Onmyoudo, Spiritual energy and Kuji-in magic into one ability, this technique has been a long preserved Aikayume Hiden traditionally passed on from mother to daughter. The technique knows nine 'degrees of power' in its intent to purify/exorcise, not coincidentally linked to the fabled nine tails of the kitsune, and follows nine distinct steps on how to properly and fully purify a spirit or possessed being. While the technique's power is influenced by the user's spiritual power (PL/CL could be used as a reference), faith, proper ritualistic knowledge and skilled execution of the technique are just as important.
The cost of this technique equals 100 chakra/level of the seal. The user can 'improve' upon the Seal's level by paying chakra equal to normal cost of the desired rank. While 'improving' the Seal can only done one level at a time, and only level by level, the effects of previously activated levels remain active for the duration of the purification. Going through this jutsu from the First to the Ninth Seal in fullest, would cost the user 4500 chakra in total.
First Seal - Pacifism:
The weakest of all effects, the First Seal attaches a single ofuda talisman onto the spirit in question with intend to suppress excessive emotions. This is mostly used to help weak spirits snap out of berserk, tunnelvision, blinding grief, etc... so that proper communication is possible and a solution can be found to help out the spirit in question.
Second Seal - Lock:
The Second Seal attaches a single ofuda talisman onto a spirit with intention to lock it in place. Whereas the First Seal mostly coaxes the spirit, the Second Seal forcibly brings it to a halt. This is mostly of use with spirits that have vanishing/teleporting properties or move at such speed that ranged attacks would stand no chance. It does little to improve upon the spirit's general condition or mood.
Third Seal - Spiritual Cleansing:
The Third Seal attaches a single ofuda talisman onto a spirit that shows signs of imbalance in order to restore it to perfect Spiritual alignment. This can affect spirits that were brought out of balance by the energy waves emitted by modernisation (namely radio tech and electricity-driven machines) and symptoms of (in)direct demonic/holy afflictions. While based on the principles of the Yin Yang Seal of the Tsuchimidako, this technique can not alter the spirits inherent alignment in the slightest. Rather, it will balance the spirit to its natural alignment, removing what little 'taint' may affect it.
Fourth Seal - Orientation
The Fourth Seal is loosely based upon the Four Wind Guardians and invokes their essence to restore a spirit's orientation. This orientation is far more than knowing the four directions, as it also anchors it in time. In other words, a spirit is made aware of the current date and its place in the material world, allowing it more solidity in existence while dispelling disorientation and confusion.
Fifth Seal - Wu Xing Purification:
A respectable form of restoration, the Fifth Seal resets a spirit's existential power by restoring the balance between the five Wu Xing elements. By inscribing five ofuda talismans with a single Wu Xing element, the spirit is stripped of any accumulated surplus power, but also reinvigorated with any power it may have lost. This can, in effect, create a similar but more powerful effect as Spiritual Cleansing, but could also remove buffs and debuffs granted to a spirit.
Sixth Seal - Jewel in the Lotus
Starting this level of power, the purification ritual has become so impactful the Aikayume should not ever invoke this Seal without proper preparation and introductory cleansing. Based on the Six True Words, the spirit is sucked into a state of "emptiness", a state where ego and worldly attachment are dropped and inner awareness and intuition is raised, pulling them into the 'now'. At this point, spirits who solely exist through worldly attachments will fade from existence as their reason for being has been revoked and a sense of fulfilment takes over. In effect, the Sixth Seal could serve as an instant exorcising of lesser spirits. For greater spirits, the true path to salvation only begins 'now' that awareness to a better future has been awoken.
Seventh Seal - Karmic Flame
It is said that emotions in life can be imprinted within the very soul itself, driving us to find our 'soul mates' in other lives to come. Where materialistic reasons of lingering can be cut loose, those spirits remaining due to emotional turmoil can be tough opponents, indeed. Vengeance, unheard regrets, unrequited love... Such spirits require unconditional love and forgiveness in the purest of forms to come to terms. Upon invoking the Seventh Seal, the very Universe around the Aikayume seems to shift to lay bare the emotions of the troubled spirit. Burning away the burdens which could last for several lifetimes, the spirit's karma is purified by the foxfire and transmuted into a new destiny, allowing the restless spirit to finally find peace. In effect, the Seventh Seal is able to exorcise almost every spirit by cleansing it with benevolent fire.
Eighth Seal - Eight Auspicious Signs
The Eight Seal is a rarily used power, because almost every Spiritual concern can be solved with the first Seven. Unfortunately, there are times where the Aikayume is not dealing with mere spirits but with Kami created through generations of worship. Local Kami, though rarely, know moments of imbalance too. When such things happen, it is not just a single person or house which suffers, but a whole region that ends up affected. The purification of such imbalanced Kami can vary greatly from the more 'mundane' purification needed for spirits, and as such eight ofuda talismans each inscribed with one of the Auspicious Signs is required for this Seal. Upon invoking this Seal, the Kami's already enlightened awareness is simply reminded of its original intent and goals.
Ninth Seal - Transcendence
The pinnacle of exorcism and perfected form of purification, the Ninth Seal completely unravels the embodiment of existence of a spirit and allows its essence to become one with the Universe. The spirit will no longer be able to manifest itself in any sort of form, as it is now absorbed by the collective of Spiritual energy that is omnipresent. The choice to use this ability can stem from a spirit finally finding 'inner peace' and wishing to 'go beyond the mundane', but this can also be used to completely eradicate a malevolent spirit unwilling to maintain balance. Furthermore, lesser Kami are weakened to the point they may be sealed in a magical item, and entities possessing a body are (violently) thrown out of their earthly host.
Example RP of how it will be used: Misaki is confronted with a raging Bull Spirit, who is currently berserking and thrashing the whole place. It charges at walls in blind rage, it bucks wildly around itself and is hell-bent on impaling foolish mortals on its large horns. Understanding that the Bull Spirit will not be open for communication, Misaki uses the Second Seal and pays 200 chakra for this. The Bull Spirit gets immobilised despite raging on, but now that it is not moving, Misaki is able to perceive a hint of demonic taint in its aura. She decides to restore its tainted alignment by rising the Second Seal to the Third Seal, and must pay an additional 300 chakra to do so, but the spirit will remain immobilised while it gets purified. If now Misaki would want to execute the Wu Xing Purification, she would first have to raise it to the Fourth Seal (+400 chakra) and then to the Fifth Seal (for another 500 chakra), but it seems that the Bull Spirit quiets down now that taint no longer draws out its excess rage.
Reason why it cannot be used in battle: This technique only affects bakemono, spirits, and Kami. In the case of kami, who are beings of superior power than spirits, only local kami and minor kami may be affected as any kami beyond that (shinigami, true gods...) are far too powerful to be affected by mere mortal interference. In the case this technique is used on a possessed human being, full consent of the human host must be given and proper preparation must be undertaken. These preparations may include, but are not limited to: preparation of ofuda seals, burning of incense, drawing of circles and other ritualistic symbols of spiritual power, sprinkling of blessed water, reciting of prayers and/or mantras. Considering the focus and the time needed for a proper purification ritual, a battle would be the least ideal of moments.

Umashi, Hokage, protector of kitsune
Aikayume Shizuka [NPC]
Name: Aikayume Shizuka (静夏)
Ability: Nanjirou
Description: A sportive girl with a lithe body, Shizuka is deceptively fast despite the seemingly encumbering long dresses she wears. Her long raven black hair is a much debated topic among the kitsune as it holds a peculiar shine when candle light illuminates it. Her tail, equally black in colour, is generally hidden under her robes and therefore tends to annoy most of the proud Aikayume that see her pass by, believing she is ashamed of her heritage even though this is far from the case.
Background: Shizuka became Misaki's hand maiden during the Blood Ritual. She was the one to quietly walk into the pool to take over the crystalline sword and help Misaki out by cutting open her back so the Foxfire Heritage could enter its new host. Even though the two had little contact before, the new Priestess didn't think twice to appoint Shizuka, a member of the branch family, to a new set of duties.

NINE TAILS, NINE TALES
Each tail of the kitsune is a manifestation of its growing power, a statement it had surpassed trials not easily overcome and achieved goals seemingly impossible to attain . Much like a veteran of war is recognised by their medallions and heroes are remembered by their deeds living on in the bard's songs, so too is the kitsune entitled to its pride by the sheer amount of tails they flaunt. For every tail this kitsune has gained, an adequate story has been unfold.
  • Tail, the First - The Kitsune's Birthright
Every Aikayume is born with a tail. While this doesn't boast any feats of power, it identifies them as being the carrier of its potential.
  • Tail, the Second - Overcoming the Impossible Odds
Barely enrolled in the shinobi Academy, the kitsune stood eye to eye with Darkness itself. Though fighting might not have been at the order, surviving the cataclysmic collateral damage as such vast powers collided and enduring the Cursed Seal that followed in the wake of the demon puppet's defeat spurred the kitsune's growth and understanding in life. Obliged to suppress the cursed remains forced upon her as a parting gift, both spiritual and mental power were required to maintain her balanced alignment.
  • Tail, the Third - Heiress to the Ancestral Blood: [x]
Like every Priestess has done before her, Misaki underwent the Blood Ritual that passes on the ancestral foxfire power from the passing Priestess to the rising Priestess. When Misaki left the ritualistic pool as the new Priestess of the Aikayume with the shrine maid who would then since remain her personal servant, the two tails she gave up with her mother was reborn into the three tails kitsune she earned that day.
  • Tail, the Forth - Celestial Embodiment

THE DEMON PUPPET
Marked by the Cursed Seal of Maru! [x]
The Village of Tea. What should have been a leisure stroll ending with a cup of tasty tea ended in a true nightmare for the kitsune. An odd man appears, pulling her ears and refuses to let go until the Hokage stands up to deal with the situation. Not long after, the peaceful tea house ends up destroyed by the clashing forces of the odd man who turned out to be a demonic puppet, and the combined forces of the Hokage and Leaf ANBU. In between the chaos, a little kitsune tries to find shelter within the storm, keeping the Hokage's hat close as she scurries around the battlefield.
PURIFYING THE TAINTED
The Bakemono Project: [x] [x]
The road to redemption has begun! Before Misaki can purify herself of the Cursed Mark given by Maru, the kitsune needs to develop her spiritual power and faith as a priestess. As Sunagakure gets teased by paranormal activity caused by the imbalance in spiritual energies all around, Priestess Akiko sends her daughter out to deal with the various threats plaguing the civilians with unrest. As the kitsune gets confronted with various spirits of the Shinto traditions, her growth towards a deeper understanding on how to restore balance and remove ill-intent improves.
