From a door on the northern side a single man, aged about 30 would march purposefully to the center of the floor. From the highest seat he looked like a little black speck. Once he reached the heart of the arena, all eyes would be on him, the chatter would die down momentarily. "HEEEEEELLLLLLO KUROSAWA!" An excited host would announce, his hand clenched around the microphone. "Am your announcer Kiisu Orubaaman and WELCOME TO THE LONG AWAITED WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT FINALS! Are you excited?"
A sudden roar would shout back "YES!"
The announcer smiled, "I cannot HEEEEEAAAAAAAR you!" He extended his microphone out towards the crowd.
"YES WE ARE!" The earth itself rattled with discontent in response to the vociferous reply.
"I cannot hear you!" he repeated, only this time he could not hear because they might have actually damaged his hearing.
"YES WE ARE! YES WE ARE! YES WE ARE!" The crowd shouted.
The crowd wanted blood. The crowd wanted tears. The crowd wanted to see the violent potential of the "greatest" the shinobi world had to offer.
The crowd would erupt into applause, some would shout her name and some would cat-call. It was part of the being a woman in a male-dominated vocation. She should be proud of herself, she had gotten far and she had defeated a number of powerful adversaries. At this moment her fighting prowess was the envy of the world and win or lose at the end of this fight she would enjoy the fame, prestige and experience that came from holding such a high station in the tournament. There were a number of viewers that likely envied her position at this moment.
There would be a pause for the announcer but there would not be any silence. The announcer would extend his microphone out to [Insert first poster] and then to [insert second poster] before taking the microphone back to his own chin. "Hahahaha... a great pair we have here today," he was sweating a bit. yes, he was intimated by their presence and their terrifying potential. He wiped the sweat from his own brow. "OK you two... you know the rules here. But just in case, I will remind you... There are no rules here. There is no such thing as a 'dirty' or 'illegal' move... There is no such thing as an 'unfair advantage.' You fight until one of you either gives up, is no longer able to fight (OC: this goes on until you are KO'd) or one of you is dead. Once you are knocked unconscious we have medics," he gestured towards the sidelines, in full body armor seven medics stood waiting "that will do their darnedest to resuscitate you and we have an arena full of interested and in many cases capable spectators. Once you are down, if necessary one of the hundreds watching will intervene if you try to take the kill on an unconscious opponent." He nodded and let out a little cough. Shinobis had a thing for violence and pushing themselves to the point of death, they were reckless and dangerous but they made for a fascinating show.
