[C L A S S] Navigation.

Located in Northern Tea Country, a majority of the northern portion of this country is either rough, rugged terrain that some farmers have turned into great pastures or rolling hills that have been cleared to make way for farmland. The population in this region is sparse but for the most part life is peaceful here, not due to the absence of 'bad people' but rather the relative proximity to a hidden village (Sound). The 'shinobi' of Sound protect the villagers of these agrarian communities for a price, but their presence is also a source of unease for some. Rumored to be demons and monsters, many of these villagers are superstitious and fearful.

"Is it that much different..." She muttered, bringing her fingers to the mask. Playing it a little as she took a moment to think about it. "This method is easily used on both land and sea... The only difference is, which could make it harder. Is the fact that you are the moving object and not just the sky." She smiled politely behind the mask and would stretch her small body a bit. She had been sitting down with them for a while.
The girl was more than glad that they were paying attention... she slowly nodded to each of them. They were all paying attention and she liked that fact right now... After the moment she had been talking that much, she started to look around. She herself had already found the star that never moved... Now they had to do something in order to make the class. "So... What I want from you guys... Is that you, either work together or work separately.. to find a star... Either one of those that I have been telling..... For those who really want to do it solo... I want you to name a star that you are going to do... That star has to be different then the others are doing..." It was a slightly difficult task for those who did it solo and those who did it in a group. "You have till the stars fade to find them... But... I can already tell you.. if you paid attention you are in bed in an hour." She would nod to her own words, the thought of the soft mattress on her face and body would be a good compliment on this class. She stood up and watched then one for one again.

Teaming up to find a star. That sounded like a good idea. Just one collective of students working to find a star. The Hyuga had pretty eyes so he should be in it, and the girl seemed to know her stuff but hold back for some reason. And then there was the creepy bandaged dude who, contradictory to his looks, had yet to murder all of them so he was obviously not that bad of a guy. Grinning wide as natural mischief welled up, Misaki would lift a finger and start pointing at each of them, going all, "I pick you. And you. And you too... as part of my team. We're going to be the best!". Yep, total brat mode outsmarting the sensei for not specifying how many she could have in her team. Such were the tricky ways of the kitsune. As she shifted closer to grab people in a hug-lock, pull them closer and beckon them, she'd start musing about the star to choose.

Pointing at Asuka, she said, "You seem to know all kinds of names so you can pick one for us, right?", then she'd move to Honnou with the lunar eyes. "And Hyuga can see a lot, right? So you probably have the best eyes to find the star.". Then all who remained was the bandaged guy who seemed to have taken quite some notes by himself. "Then you can double-check if we're right with the help of your notes. What do you think about that?".

Now she hoped none of them would run away or go solo or something. Shinobi had to be able to cooperate during missions. While she couldn't say if the people here were shinobi, she could still pull them all into something remotely close to team work. With everyone being given something she believed were their strong points in the current situation, they couldn't fail in this mini-mission. A star had to be found, so they would.

Oh? They were going to team up in order to find a star? He wondered just what specific star that they were going to find - emphasizing ‘they’ given that he found himself in quite the team already. He was surprisingly hug-locked by the lively kitsune along with… oh wow, what a funny idea. Having one team consist of all the students at once was at the same time intriguingly genius and hilarious. He sure hoped that their teacher found it classy as well…

“U-Uh, yeah, of course,” he replied softly to Misaki, “Just name its pattern and I can easily find it.” He would eye Asuka afterwards, hoping that she knew just what star that they should find… and how it looked or if it was a part of a constellation or something…

The fox shinobi seemed to have taken the lead on handling the situation. That altogether wasn't a terrible thing as Kano did not have the best experiences when it came to social conditions. He looked at his notes and then up at the group. The fox was at this point pretty much barking out orders, though she also seemed polite and respectful about it, so it wasn't a terrible thing. She seemed oddly comfortable speaking to him, so Kano did appreciate that as there was often prejudice towards him in regards to his appearance. He seemed to make cliffhanger notes at her apparent ease of handling the situation. He would have to transfer those notes into his very own "How To Socialize 101" notebook at his dormitory in Kumogakure.

The tiny shinobi barely agreed with the fox. He seemed just to be going with the flow, though perhaps they were all also a tad bit too reliant on their fourth member, the kunoichi who all but ignored him on her arrival. He began searching through his notes just in case she decided to do her own thing in the end. Although uncomfortable with the proximity to other people and the fact the fox was keeping them in some odd hug, it wasn't entirely negative. Perhaps with this class, he could learn more than just navigational skills.

His eyes traveled up to the sky while in the group. A simple yet useful class that would likely aid him shortly if he ever found himself needing to navigate while lost. Perhaps Eiko who decided not to tag along for this particular trip would enjoy listening to him about his new class. A small sigh escaped him as he thought about it. It was far more likely she would call him a moron or something along those lines and proceed to dehumanize him further with nightmarish visions and illusions. Perhaps the class could go on forever he thought. He wouldn't mind that at all.

Asuka sighed once she heard the girl speak.... teams.... god how she hated teaming up with people she didn't know. Thankfully this wasn't a mission so there wasn't a big danger to screwing up. "Best is a far fetched claim." Asuka responded "Better not claim outrageously without results." Asuka looked up to the stars trying to see if she could find a specific star, of course she wouldn't be able to use the one she already said which would be a bit tricky.

"In all honesty. The only one I know is mine, but I do think I can find one..." She turned her head from one place to another, trying to find the specific.... point in the sky to say the least. There was to many to be specific or to now all of them at once, damn... this was going to be harder than she thought.

Some time passed and she still hadn't found the one she was looking for. "Where are you...." She spoke to herself, looking carefully throughout the stars. Thankfully, she did find it. "There." She spoke with a triumphant laugh, pointing to the horizon on the right. A small red light that was distinguished among the white stars. "That's what..." She stopped, sighing once more... why did she have to remember this? "That's the the sun god, resting... waiting for the moon to go away." She clinched her teeth. "At least that's what my dad used to say. If someone has a problem with it, they can choose their own star."

Kotori was watching them carefully, what were they going to do, how were they going to react on this assignment of her... She would slowly leave a chuckle under her mask. The fox-like lady thought she was outsmarting her, it was true that she never named a team or anything. But she was enjoying how they were having a go at this, the next was the small boy speaking again... And meanwhile, Kotori stood up, watching her Yokai contract being bored and cleaning himself. She made a few steps towards him and started to help groom him, her hands were still gloved as she watched them from the corner of her eyes. Listening carefully to their wordings.

Finally, they started to come up with something, and it was seeming that Asuka eventually cut the knot. "Hmm... You are right on that one..." She hummed happily about how they were doing. "It is true that Hyuuga's see a lot, but don't be mistaken, their view is also very limited if you were to lay it to another set of eyes. She watched the silent one of the group... walking to him and trying to poke his side for a second. "It is alright to speak up too..." She muttered under her mask, she kinda had an idea how he was feeling... Or so she thought...
Moments passed and Asuka started to talk. "That's the...the sun god, resting... waiting for the moon to go away."

Kotori would wait until their wording on Asuka's before she would talk once more. "That is correct... You got the whole assignment done... Just never forget this class and you will always find your way home..." She smiled under her mask, her first class like this was a major success!

Asuka listened closely to the masked girl speak, she was right on that. It seemed as though this could help her find her way back to the village if she ever got lost... again. She remembered once how it seemed as though finding home was easy, how no matter how far you walked somehow you would always find your way back. Now she knew that when lost, it's hard getting yourself out of the situation. You may walk in circles, walk in the opposite dirrection. Anyway, depending on the area, finding your way back would be next to impossible.

Fortunately, now she knew that there was always a way back home, she just needed to know the direction of the leaf using the north star as some type of... sign to give her the correct dirrection. But she needed something else... something that would help her find the correct heading, she looked up to the sky and thought for a bit. Maybe the moon? It seemed to always go in one direction but he would need to have further study for a project like that. Imagine that.... maybe someone already used this method. Man, Asuka needed to travel and find more about the world.

With a sigh and a slight smile she turned to the masked girl. "I didn't expect this class to be as interesting as it was." She spoke with respect, knowing who she was speaking to. "But it turned out the opposite, didn't think the stars would be so interesting." She gave a short laugh. "It's been fun, I appreciate what you've given me. Thank you." With that Asuka turned away, dissapearing into thin air as soon as she took another step, it seemed as though she walked through a door.

Victory. Misaki would grin widely when she heard the teacher say they had succeeded. Under the guidance of the floof, the team had brought their class assignment to a success. "We're the best", Misaki would say proudly at the small collective of people forming the makeshift team. With that success achieved and keeping the lessons at heart, none of them would ever get lost now. An interesting little skill since the desert of Sunagakure was a massive sea of sand in where there were precious few means of navigation. By day the scorching sun, always on the move. By night, a multitude of stars, beautiful but hard to figure it out. But now... The desert became a tad safer for the kitsune to dwell in.

However, now it was time for her to get back to the hotel where she resided. She'd have to return home soon, preparations still needing to be finished. She'd wave the people goodbye, thanking them for their time and wishing them the best of luck in the future before she'd leave them with a cheerful hum, twin tails swaying happily as she walked the way back home.

His eyes would follow Asuka’s as she searched the sky for that specific star. He could see further out into the atmosphere, but that also led him with a very concentrated, enlarged view of the stars. At last, when she pointed to the horizon on the right of her side, Hon spotted the faint, red light as well. “Ohhhh,” he awed, “… The sun god…”

A bright North Star and a red light. Hon found a way to distinguish north, east, south and west - if he just had a map with him, he’d be able to find his way back to the Land of Lightning easily. It was like a compass, really; the compass always had a red pointer that pointed to the north too… wait, that must’ve been inspired by the North Star! And it wouldn’t always be the case for Hon to have a compass nearby… he’d have to build that into his gauntlet next time.

“… I think I can find anything now,” he mumbled out in awe. The stars were his dots on the map, and he was a brick. He could move his brick according to these dots and pretty much locate any town… or so, that was what he dreamt of. Funnily, he’d hail the words ‘We’re the best’ along with Misaki for good sportsmanship as he eyed the sky one more time… oh blast, it was late. He’d have to get back to his place, or Yuii-sensei would blow up again.

“Yeah, and uh, good luck to you too… also, watch your tails! Anyone could step on them, that’d be no good!”
