As the nightmarish scene unfolded before him, Kazuma's world blurred into a frenzy of motion and dread. The sudden and brutal attack on Neko shattered the air with her desperate scream, and he felt his very soul convulsing with a mixture of fear and fury. Time seemed to move in slow motion, each second stretching into an eternity as the monstrous serpent coiled around Neko. "Neko!" he screamed out as he began to move towards them.
Without conscious thought, an instinctive rage surged through Kazuma. His mind and body, driven by the primal need to protect his comrade, erupted into action. In that desperate moment, Kazuma summoned the storm within him. The air crackled with electric energy as he formed the chakra into an arc shape, aiming it at a portion of the snake not hitting Neko.
But as he prepared to strike, his heart sank at the gruesome result of Neko's battle. She, in an act of defiance to go down, had managed to break free from the serpent's grasp while it entrapped her. Her hand, stained with both their blood, had delivered a resolute blow, creating an opening. The burst of pressure that followed had pierced through the creature's head, ending the gruesome struggle.
Kazuma stood frozen, Storm Blade crackling with unspent energy as it dissipated, and he ran towards Neko, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions—relief, awe, and a lingering horror at the cost of battle. The air seemed to be still, and in that moment, a gust of wind swept up around Neko, its energy flowing through her in an attempt to restore her consciousness and keep her stable. Neko lay there, still and silent, while this happened "Please, get up, wake up, Neko" he pleaded as he hovered his hands over her wounds, attempting some basic medical ninjutsu he had picked up in one of his classes. "Please...." he kept pleading, the birds watching from a couple of feet away as he did so, hiding from any other attackers. At this point, he was pumping as much chakra into the girl as possible via healing jutsu, hoping he could do something this time around, unlike what happened with his family. They where still several days away from the village; he had to get wake her up or else this trip would be over before it began.
