| Abilities: Slot 0 - Shinobi 101 Earth to Melee Accuracy: The Goremu prided themselves on being attuned to the earth in ways beyond simple living preferences. They were naturally born to be attuned to the rock and dirt beneath their feet and developed a style of fighting which took advantage of this. With their sturdy bodies and earth based chakra, techniques which made use of a unique fighting form that combined punches and kicks which each motion able to manipulate the ground similar to how handseals mold chakra. This process caused the Goremu to develop and master Doton techniques which could be used in unison with hand to hand fighting. WC 100 Slot 0 - Journeyman Main Branch: It was her role as a genin to learn and travel, or at least that was what she felt it was given how much weight was on her generations shoulder. Being the first Goremu born within sunagakure and apart of the first of them to become shinobi, there was so much about the shinobi world that they had to learn. She wasn't an exception to this and knew the academy only prepared them for the basics and it would be experience and learning under sensei's. It would be several years of traversing the shinobi world and hopefully the journey would pay off for her and her clan. WC 107 Slot 0 - Onyx Guard Anbu Branch: Like the earth, it was natural for members of the Goremu to be over protective. Considered an inherited trait to both their personalities as well as their hidden techniques. Creating barriers, blockades and other constructs of rock and earth was a natural byproduct of their unique fighting style and subsequent natural abilities. Theoretically speaking, Chikyu would easily have the means to provide support in a situation where someone would need to escape a situation or be protected from harm. Though this condition would rely on if she was standing firmly on the ground, it was still a part of her skillset. WC 101 Slot 1 - Weapon Attunement There is no greater weapon that one will learn than one which is natural to them. Chikyu and members of the Goremu clan took this a step further due to their inherited skills. Attuned to the earth, even creating various weapons from rock and earth around their hands and feet carried with it that same level of familiarity. This was developed into every member as a child through ritualistic means and cultural familiarity. Their style put emphasis on knowing one's own body and what better weapon to be gifted with knowing the ins and outs of than one's own self. WC 100 Slot 2 - Versatile Arms The fighting style of the Goremu was very distinct for a martial form in two ways. One was that the style made use of the user's body as an extension of the earth using the movements to mold chakra in a fashion similar to handseals. Two was that while there were specific taijutsu moves, the user's extension would also correspond to a bound golem which could be manipulated through the user as they fought. This meant that each members fist while in the style could equally be capable of commanding a puppet golem in unison with their fighting techniques. WC 100 Slot 3 - Heavy Handed Chikyu trained just like those before her had in that a great emphasis was placed upon strengthening one's body like rock. Chiseling out the weakness through repeated training called "Hardening", where Goremu would strike at a large rock/boulder. She could spend hours with consistently punching into the face of a large boulder, embedding the print of her palms over time. This training process hardened their muscles to the point where it could be said that taking a strike from them felt as if being punched by a living mountain. It also helps that most members channel their earth chakra during this as well. WC 103 Slot 4 - Earth Chakra Style The Goremu were said to be cursed by an earth spirit in their oral history that has been passed down since their first appearance in the desert. It is no surprise that the members boast a natural disposition for being born with earth based chakra, something that has yet to be disproved as not a single member has yet to be recorded as born with a different nature naturally. Unlike most, Goremu descendants have a unique talent with molding their earth based chakra, a talent that isn't shared when it comes to jutsu of other elements. This has cause the members to become solely practitioners of earth based ninjutsu. WC 109 Slot 5 - Unarmed Physical Style Repetition, repetition and repetition. This was the only way a practitioner of any art form would be capable of mastering basic level techniques to advanced physical forms. Chikyu practiced practically daily in at least some context if at all possible. With her latent connection to the earth, creating practice rocks to strike or forming golems to spar against, she could train in most circumstances and places. Though this focus was only given to the clan's fighting style and her training regime mainly focused on strong armed strikes. This gave the style a brawler like image that was interwoven with several strong striking forms with the persons legs. WC 107 Slot 6 - Initiative It was good that she was born to a family group with a culture for fighting to a degree that it is encouraged equally among the members. From early in age children fight and practice the clan's distinct style, determining through skill and age the better among them. In Chikyu's case, while she was not the most talented among her age group she had an innate quickness about her that was far above her peers. Capable of besting the strongest in her age group by not raw strength but quick action that gave sudden advantages during fights. In this way she was prone to act before her opponent could react. WC 112 Slot 7 - Jutsu Mastery Hard work was ingrained in who she was so much so that she developed an overachieving personality when it came to mastering new things. This became a useful perk once she started learning jutsu as there was an overbearing need to practice until she could perform it skillfully. She practiced with religious vigor, working to be able to use jutsu without it putting to much strain on her already less than impressive chakra reserves. That was really the reason the skill was important, because where she wasn't someone born with incredible chakra she could at least use jutsu conservatively in order to put less strain on the chakra pool she did have. WC 112 Slot 8* - Quickdraw It was easy to bring your weapon to bare when your weapon of choice was quite literally your bare fist. While she didn't use any actual weapons, or held any weapons her response with her fist could rival the action of the fastest swordsman. Enhanced with earth chakra, she could use her fist against most bladed weapons, in which coupled with her uncanny ability to move fast could catch weapon users off guard. Though this quickness with her hands did have one benefit outside of fighting or weapons was that she could easily pick through her items within the belt pouch for sudden use. WC 105 * Ability Card |
| Earthborn - 9 / 9 Points, PL 798 Earth Blessing - Ability Modification (3 points) Restriction- Requires Weapon Attunement Earthborn ninja are much like their favored element: steady, tough and strong. With this comes enormous power, giving them the strength to do monstrous amounts of damage in physical combat, limited only by their bond with the element. Effect: The user's equipped weapon is treated as Earth element and gains all associated damage boosts and penalties, in addition to those from Weapon Attunement. Earthen Barrier - Passive (3 points) Earthborn with this power have mastered the ability to create walls of earth around them, making them stronger and more resilient than ever before. These walls of earth can be massive, limited only by the energy put into them. Effect: Whenever the user casts an Earth damaging jutsu, they create a Barrier that blocks damage against a single attack, matching the accuracy type used(eg, an Earth Taijutsu gains DR against Physical and Elemental Damage, and a Earth Ninjutsu protects against Elemental Damage). The Barrier’s HP is equal to 1/4 of the Base Damage of their attack. The user may only have one such barrier up at a time. If the user already has an Earthen Barrier on the field, the 1/4 Base Damage of the new attack is instead added to the existing one’s HP. Any Earthen Barriers still on the field disperse at the end of each round. Terran - Passive (2 points) Restriction- Can be purchased three times Earthborns' natural connection with the earth causes their abilities with it to be heightened and empowered. An Earthborn with this skill will find their Earth jutsu more effective than others', and themselves with an inner peace. Effect: +5% Earth damage Stone Body - Passive (1 point) Restriction- May be purchased twice The superb talent the Earthborn has in shaping the Earth extends to their attempts to animate it. An Earthborn's stone and other associated creations frequently seem as though they simply will not go down. Effect: The user's Earth Clone and Creation jutsu gain +10% Base HP. |
