Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Re: Keiatsu - Hot Head (WIP)

Reckless / Akimichi
R6W9jZH.gif

Ever watch someone fight and ask yourself, "Is he insane?" In this case, no. But he's pretty damn near it. His style of fighting is undisciplined and unpredictable. He attacks erratically, with little regard for finesse or any sort of coherent strategy. Mako is a VERY physical fighter, and though it suits his personality, its more out of necessity than anything. His poor Chakra Control means that he's unable to use Ninjutsu, and he doesn't have the mental capacity to craft an illusion (or even understand how Genjutsu works...). He isn't the fastest fighter ever. Or the smartest. Or the strongest. Or the- well...you get the point. But what he lacks in other areas, he makes up for with a hidden power and a strong will. One of his most impressive physical traits is his monstrous endurance. Knock him down? And he'll get right back up again. Hell, most of the time he shrugs off preliminary attacks in a battle. Turns out being a rampant ball of energy has its uses in a fight! But he doesn't JUST receive the hurt. Opponents often underestimate him due to his silly techniques, strange methods of fighting, and naive personality. But when someone hurts people for no reason, harms his friends, or even harms their own? Beware.

Part of his physical...'prowess' comes from his extreme adaptability. Even as a child Mako was always one to just "wing-it", leaving the planning and thinking to others. This trait has been carried with him into adolescence, made apparent by the fact that his fighting style is completely improvised. Because of his Ninjutsu incapability and lack of any real Bloodline, Mako has had to come up with innovative ways to keep up with his peers. His simplistic mind helped for once in this regard, allowing him to come up with some creative techniques to aid him in battle. So far he's developed several of his own skills that require unorthodox methods of manipulating chakra and his body.

The origin of his abilities isn't anything spectacular. As a kid he wasn't host to any unique powers. Just a puny runt with no skill in...anything, really. Below average scores at the Academy ensured that he barely passed at all. He was bad with chakra. A little better at fighting, but not much. He carried no genetic traits or Doujutsu that gave him an edge over anyone else. But if there was ONE thing that was spectacular about this boy...it was his strength of will. Past the goofy smiles and hair-brained antics lied an undying will to achieve his dreams. Knock him down five times and he'll stand up six. He possesses an incredible hidden power that one wouldn't expect from someone like him. It was likely this that caused his guardian, Yama, to place Mako in life-threatening situations regularly. The idea was to make him stronger. And apparently it worked! In only a few short years, Mako went from being a stubborn, reckless child to...a stubborn...reckless...child. But all that 'training' paid off! Maybe a little too well, actually. So his strength and stamina might SEEM supernatural, but they were actually gained through effort and sheer force of will.

Bare Hands

Not to be confused with 'Bear Hands', these babies are Mako's pride and joy. They've got him through more scrapes than he can count, and they'll get him through many more. Oh! And he doesn't have to worry about his weapon being 'an extension of his body'....because his weapon IS his body. Convenient, huh?

Ō-Sesshu
MO2WoZf.png

Used by few of those who possess the "A." initial, Ō-Sesshu is an ancient technique that functions as a weapon. While not Holy in origin, this technique grants a select few of those born with the name of "A." sheer power enough to slay Greater Demons. Mako funnels his unique chakra into a limb, "priming" whichever one he chooses with greater attack power. But more importantly than that...the black markings grant him the power to drain the chakra of whatever he touches. Said body part(s) also becomes much more heavy and takes on a consistency that's easily stronger than metal. While a bit slower than his regular old mitts, they're capable of dealing massive damage when used in conjunction with Mako's already formidable Taijutsu skills. Its vampiric nature ensures that he can keep fighting with minimal chakra loss as well. This can be applied to any part of his body. Anyone familiar with Oni no Kuni lore might recognize this weapon as the Mark of the Devil (悪魔の印, Akuma no Shirushi).

Daiji is a dark-skinned young man of average height with black wavy hair and black eyes. Standing at 5'8 he is on the leaner side as his training regimen consists mostly of exercises involving his own body weight, and his preferred style of fighting means that he doesn't have any need for bulky muscle. The Kōga clan's shared ancestry with the Hyūga is apparent in his dark hair color and his family shares this feature as well, but the obvious thing that sets them apart is in the aspect the latter are world renown for-- the eyes. All members of the Kōga clan share the same coal black eyes, a stark difference from the featureless white eyes of the Hyūga. As for apparel he tends to favor neutral to dark colors, alternating between more traditional dress when relaxing or at home and more modern practical clothing when on duty-- though it ultimately depends on his mood. Anything from kimonos and wooden geta with the occasional haori thrown on over top to loose-fitting black shinobi attire with a high collar and everything in between, his sense of style is rather eclectic. Lately he has been suffering from migraines ranging in intensity from annoying to debilitating, this has made his eyes increasingly sensitive to light and as such he can almost always be seen wearing some kind of eye protection. Sunglasses, tinted goggles, anything to help.
Character's Mental Description: In a word Daiji seems relaxed... too much so. Prone to daydreaming and getting lost in his own thoughts, he can be perceived as inattentive at best or lazy and uncaring at worst. Perception is everything and others will make of him what they will, most of the time he just can't be bothered to care as to what others think of him. This coupled with a distaste for responsibility, propensity to shirk his teaching duties, a slight hedonistic streak, and a general dislike of authority (and those in positions of power) lead to him being a less-than-ideal Chunin. However this is truly only his outward-facing self. At his core Daiji cares deeply for his family, friends, students, and comrades. He's willing to put himself at risk in an instant if the need arises. He also has a soft spot for the downtrodden, and can often be found spending time with the lower classes of society as they are in his words "A better caliber of people." Compared to bosses, the wealthy, or any snooty noble clan types he and the other Kōga may be forced to interact with on any given day of course. Those who know him often question this dichotomy and are quick to point out that he puts up a front in order to shut people out and they aren't completely wrong. On the outside Daiji is an aloof slacker who's obfuscating stupidity is as much a tactic as it is one half of his personality, on the inside he's much, much more.
Multiple Personality Application: n/a
Character History:
Slacker, sensei, jerk, worldly, irresponsible, charitable, idiot, kind-hearted.

All words used to accurately describe the young man known as Kōga Daiji. As most people are, he's a complex mix of personality traits and trauma, the latter being as good an explanation as any as to why he portrays himself as an indifferent procrastinator most of the time. In truth though he isn't all that hard to figure out. Hailing from a clan of middling reputation known as the Kōga, Daiji has lived in or around Konoha for his entire life along with his family. He cares deeply for his siblings and his friends, and has a depth to his character only shown to those he allows to truly know him. Their clan is a large one, often taking in strays and those with no where else to go as honorary members in their own right. As you can imagine this practice doesn't sit too well with some of the older more prestigious ninja clans, and those obsessed with kekkei genkai and preserving bloodline integrity all but despise them. That isn't the only reason why they are unpopular, however...

Claiming common ancestry from the Hyūga, both clans have produced powerful shinobi and to hear some tell it, at one point in history the Kōga may have even rivaled the wielders of the Byakugan for position and influence, though they were never considered 'nobility' like their white-eyed counterparts. According to history scrolls that are still passed down and studied to this day, they were once a clan of fearsome assassins which likely contributed to their competition with the Hyūga as well. A family of shadowy killers as opposed to the Leaf's virtuous Taijutsu prodigies. Either way, most clan members have strayed away from that type of role and nowadays they are more like the average ninja clan. Whether due to genetic mutation or some odd combination of recessive and dominant traits the famed Byakugan of the Hyūga never manifested for the Kōga or their descendants (at least not in recorded clan history), but through their bloodline they received a gift of equal strength. Rarer in occurrence maybe, but those few in their clan's history lucky enough to awaken it have all gone on to become powerful shinobi in their own right.

Inheriting any form of Dōjutsu is almost unheard of for members of the Kōga, and thus mostly their eyes are destined to forever stay darkened. However once every few generations a member or two is favored enough to be born with gifted sight. In the current iteration of the clan only Daiji's father possesses their birthright, and before him it had been decades since any of the Kōga had even heard about someone within their ranks obtaining it. This Dōjutsu's visual prowess grants the user 'sight beyond sight' expanding their field of vision to near-360º and the range far beyond any normal person's. What many of the Kōga refer to as the 'Eyes of Heaven'.

The Tengan.

byapic.jpg

A light cuts through the coal black gaze of the Kōga revealing to dormant eyes the path to enlightenment... or so the old stories go, Some call it a simple mutation of the Byakugan and they may be onto something as the two function in nearly identical ways. Certainly more likely than any old myth from hundreds of years ago. Aside from the irides being near-white with a golden hue as opposed to the lilac tint of the Byakugan, the two Dōjutsu share the same abilities (albeit with different names) and grant the user the same visual prowess. The biggest difference lies in the practice of their signature style of Taijutsu, appropriately titled 'Cruel Hand'. Hiden techniques are closely guarded secrets among shinobi clans, and this one is no exception. Allowing for the practitioner to target an opponent's tenketsu and shut down their chakra system by injecting their own chakra into their body with precise Taijutsu strikes, this style of fighting deals massive internal damage and makes the Kōga deadly in close-quarters combat. What sets it apart from the Gentle Fist of the Hyūga is the manner in which the strikes are delivered and the intensity of their movements. While adherents to the Gentle Fist are generally graceful and utilize pinpoint finger strikes to shut down chakra points, the Cruel Hand relies on blunt, brutal punches, kicks, knees, and palm strikes laced with chakra to deliver overwhelming trauma to one's system and finish them off with as little fanfare as possible. Not as graceful or flashy as the Hyūga, but some would say that is exactly what makes their style superior.

Since before he can remember Daiji has been trained in the art of battle by his family, alongside his brother, sisters, and cousins. He is by no means a master of the Cruel Hand yet but thinking he's a slouch when it comes to combat could be a fatal mistake (something his outward demeanor actually helps with, being underestimated can be quite a good thing acutally). Despite not having access to any sort of ocular prowess, all members of the Kōga are trained in their clan's martial art from the time they can walk. Perhaps a remnant of a more dangerous time, or perhaps a sign of something more sinister dwelling beneath the surface? Either way, Daiji is capable of dealing serious damage to someone's chakra system with just a few strikes, and though not having Tengan of his own means he can never master the art, the disruption caused by even novice practitioners of the style is enough to throw even seasoned veterans into complete disarray.

Another difference between the Byakugan and the Tengan is having to actually awaken the Dōjutsu rather than simply having access to it from birth. This seems to happen at random, with some members of the Kōga not managing to harness the power their eyes bring until very late in life, though the process can be triggered and/or accelerated through severe stress. The onset of this comes in the form of extreme headaches and pain behind the eyes, however symptoms seem to vary from person to person. Daiji has only recently begun to experience this phenomena at the age of 20, and nothing has come of it yet. Because the occurrence of the Tengan is so unlikely he hasn't even factored his bloodline into the equation and has attributed these issues to being generally overworked (which is hilarious), hangovers, or lack of sleep. Sometimes all three.

At this point? All it will take is one final push...

The Tengan.

Gonna do that thing where I rewrite the flavor text for the Hyūga Bloodline tree but atm I can't seem to find the rules regarding that, still getting my bearings back. Whipped this together pretty quick so let me know if I missed anything! Keeping all my jutsu the same for now and I'll post for abilities at a later date in the Dojo.
