Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Implants:
Tsukiyomi - Doujutsu Genjutsu
Utilizes the Mangekyou sharingan to create a hellish genjutsu of which the user has complete control. This technique is feared and believed the most powerful Genjutsu, and can last anywhere from 24 to 72 hours in the targets mind, but in reality only lasts a couple seconds. While powerful, this technique causes immense strain upon the user's eye's and leaves them vulnerable by damaging their eyesight, and cannot be used without resting the eye's first.

Rank 1: An illusion that creates a round within a round during which the victim cannot take any actions and suffers -2 dodge. In the illusion, the user gets AP equal to their AP/1.5. When the illusion ends the user will have only spent chakra equal to 50% of the chakra spent in the illusion and the victim only takes damage equal to 50% of the damage dealt to them in the illusion.
Rank 2: An illusion that creates a round within a round during which the victim cannot take any actions and suffers -3 dodge. In the illusion, the user gets AP equal to their AP/1.5 +.5. When the illusion ends the user will have only spent chakra equal to 50% of the chakra spent in the illusion and the victim only takes damage equal to 60% of the damage dealt to them in the illusion.
Rank 3: An illusion that creates a round within a round during which the victim cannot take any actions and suffers -4 dodge. In the illusion, the user gets AP equal to their AP/1.5 +1. When the illusion ends the user will have only spent chakra equal to 50% of the chakra spent in the illusion and the victim only takes damage equal to 70% of the damage dealt to them in the illusion.


Cost: 3 AP; 2000 CP, Hp equal to 20% of the final damage done.

Notes:
- Requires Mangekyou Sharingan to be activated, and Eye contact.
- All battle rules remain the same if not mentioned.
- Jutsu that last more than one round end when the illusion does.
- May only be used on a target once successfully in a battle. Â
- All damage done in this illusion is "Illusionary" And damage cannot be reduced. Jutsu used in the Tsukiyomi cannot be buffed by Non-Genjutsu effects.
- Physical debuffs, such as bleed, poison and Nin/Tai debuffs and effects do not transfer into or out of the Tsukiyomi created world, but mental ones, generally genjutsu based, do.
- Because the Tsukiyomi is instantaneous and lasts a few seconds at most, this does not dispel any other Genjutsu active on the victim.

Second Wind - Independent Special Move
Restriction- C Rank and up
Just when enemies think they've got the Steadfast one down, when they've hit their limits and can’t fight any harder, that’s when it’s time to use the Second Wind. Due to training, those with Steadfast have amplified their natural ability to recover to extraordinary levels.
Effect: The user regains 20% max HP, and cancels all Bleeding. This is usable only once per combat.

Temporal Step - Independent Special Move
Restriction- C Rank and up
The Strider possesses the skills to not only look through time, but to temporarily step out of it as well, rendering them resistant to most normal forms of harm aimed at them and allowing them an unclouded perception on the battle they are in.
Effect: The user makes a step out of time for the duration of one round. During this round, the user cannot be affected by Genjutsu, and any Genjutsu which they are under are temporarily ignored for the duration, though are still active. They also gain 10% damage reduction against all Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, and cannot be KOed while out of time, though if they take sufficient damage they will be knocked out when they phase back into normal space-time. Genjutsu cannot be cast in this state, however, and any Ninjutsu and Taijutsu cast require an additional 10% CP cost. This is treated as a free action and may be done every other round.

Spiritual Awakening - Ghost Walker
  • Restriction- Must have Shinobi 101
  • A Ghost Walker's talent for mixing the spirit world and the real world is unparalleled. Anything they have a particular, unusual talent with can be twisted to a semblance of the spirit realm, regardless of what it originally started out as.
  • Effect: The user's jutsu under the effect of Shinobi 101 are treated as Spiritual.
Sound Mind - Ghost Walker
  • Because of their many encounters with the supernatural or unreal, Ghost Walkers are far less affected by the strange or illusionary, giving them a calm mind in the face of the bizarre or unreal, and allowing them to come out on top in a contest of wills.
  • Effect: +3 Genjutsu DC
Performance - Voice - Hashigaki
  • Blessed with the natural talent of art and music. A Hashigaki at first hones their ability to control sound either through an instrument of their choice or even their own body.
  • Effect: Voice - The user may perform Sound jutsu without handseals. This is disabled if the user is affected by Called Shot: Neck [Fractured or Broken].
  • Rank 1: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound by paying an additional 20% Chakra Cost.
  • Rank 2: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound by paying an additional 10% Chakra Cost.
  • Rank 3: May convert Wind and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Sound at no extra cost.
  • Note:
    - The Hashigaki automatically has access to the Sound Element.
    - All techniques used with this are treated as Sound Jutsu.
Ghost Dancers - Chakra Style - Hashigaki
  • While their eyes lacks the ability to perceive things other would normally do, they instead see sound as a being. Varying in shapes and sizes, and with practice - allows them to call upon these beings that they can only see to aid them in their living.
  • Rank 1/2/3: While in this stance, casting a Sound Jutsu calls upon a Ghost Dancer. In addition, whenever the user performs a Sound Jutsu, all Ghost Dancers currently active (excluding the one that was just recently summoned) will attempt to hit the same target, using the user's Ninjutsu Accuracy to deal illusionary damage equal to 1% of the target's maximum HP.
  • Note:
    - They can only have a maximum of 2 / 3 / 4 Ghost Dancers active at a time.
    - A target can only be hit successfully by a Ghost Dancer 6 times each round.
    - If the Sound Jutsu can hit multiple target, you can assign your Ghost Dancers to which target they would attack.
    - A Ghost Dancer does not have its own awareness (it uses the user's), but may target individuals in Stealth without requiring a Blindshot. A stealthed target hit by a Ghost Dancer in this way will not be removed from stealth, and the user will not gain awareness of the target.
    - A Ghost Dancer has no secondary stats, is dispersed by any damage, and is dispersed by any action targeting them (they cannot dodge/resist, and even if it deals no damage).
    - If the user is maintaining a Sound Jutsu(s), it summons a Ghost Dancer each time you pay for the maintenance cost for a Sound Jutsu.
Blindsight - Passive - Hashigaki
  • An ancient technique developed by the first Hashigaki that has been passed down in which it allows them to see the world through sound. This allows the Hashigaki to perceive things that are not normally seen by normal eyes. In return, their ears become a fatal weakness as it deprives them of seeing things when disturbed.
  • Rank 1/2/3: The user is unaffected by Transformation, Blindness (such as Verse of Darkness), Smokebomb, Smokescreen, and Stealth%27s Visibility modifiers (when making Awareness checks against others). This also extends to effects which would attempt to copy their effects.
  • Note: Visual genjutsu still affect the user, and are assumed to affect their method of perceiving the world.
Cadenza - Independent Special Move - Hashigaki
  • Everything has a beginning and an end, even in music, but for a Hashigaki, the ending has to end in a performance no one will forget.
  • Rank 1/2/3: Choose a single target. For 5 / 7 / 10 seconds, if you successfully hit or apply a secondary effect with a Sound Jutsu 3 times, those 3 Sound Jutsus involved will have their secondary effects automatically inflicted on target you choose.
  • Cost: 1 AP
  • Notes:
    - Cannot be used again while it is already active. Has a 10 second cooldown once it ends.
    - The user must use 3 Sound Jutsus that successfully hits or has applied an effect to count towards the condition. (A Sound Jutsu hitting successfully or applying a secondary effect on 2 or more separate targets only counts as 1).
    - If the user fails to reach the conditions for the duration, it goes on cooldown.
Phase-Out - Ghost Walker
  • Ghost Walkers walk a fine line between dreams and reality, but at certain times, they may choose to cross further over into one or the other. In such cases, they're body itself may phase through physical objects unimpeded.
  • Effect: For 1.5 AP, the user may reflexively dispel one of their maintained Genjutsu in order to free themselves from any movement-restricting affect (this special move does not require movement). This has no effect on Genjutsu, and cannot be reused for a full round (10 seconds).
Psychokinesis - Ghost Walker
  • Attempting to flee from a Ghost Walker in pursuit of you can be very difficult. Their keen senses are not the only reason; a Ghost Walker is capable of completely shutting down any of their targets' attempts to 'cheat' them out of a hit.
  • Effect: If any of the user's attacks are auto-dodged, they may reflexively pay 1 AP to cancel the auto-dodge. This requires a Genjutsu Check, and may only affect a target once every other round.
  • Notes: - This may be used as its own conditional, and does not have to be tagged to a specific attack. (For example, the conditional could read 'use Psychokinesis on the first attack of mine that is auto-dodged.') - Can be used on Activated Auto-dodges as well as passive auto-dodge activations.
Ethereal Weapon - Ghost Walker
  • Long have Ghost Walkers sought a viable means of attacking while in Ghostly Form, and here it is--a weapon of sharpened chakra itself, striking with piercing force and able to be held by even the intangible.
  • Effect: User creates a weapon out of pure chakra; this costs 100 CP and 1 AP to summon and 100 CP/rnd to maintain. All attacks made with this weapon are considered Spiritual, and Genjutsu may be channeled through it without the use of handseals. This weapon has two augment slots and goes by normal Weapon Creation Jutsu rules.

My Song - Dissonance Version - A-Rank Sound Jutsu
  • Perhaps the most dangerous and beautiful technique of a Hashigaki is their ability to compose their own music or song. While everyone can do it, a Hashigaki's composition is unique to the point it is imbued by chakra itself which leads to a wide variety of effects to those who hears it.
  • Rank 1/2/3: Allows up to 3 / 4 / 5 Musical Notes to be composed.
  • Effect: Sings a Song Jutsu of their own creation; all in battle other than the user are targeted by the effects equally. This jutsu targets Genjutsu Save rather than Ninjutsu Dodge. May be maintained up to 30 seconds.
  • Musical Notes and Effects: - The user may choose from the four different notes listed below to compose My Song:
    • High Note - +600 damage.
    • Low Note - +470 damage, +1 Accuracy
    • Filler Note - +400 damage, may exclude a single target from the effects of this jutsu.
    • Special Note - Applies an effect for the entire jutsu, depending on where it is placed - only a single Special Note can be placed on a composition::
      • 1st - Multiplies the damage dealt by all Notes by x1.4.
      • 2nd - If at least 3 or more targets are successfully hit by this jutsu, triggers Cadenza.
      • 3rd - Causes all of the user's currently active Ghost Dancers to withstand an attack or action that would otherwise disperse them twice.
      • 4th - The user may have My Song inflict the effects (other than damage) of a B-Rank or lower Genjutsu they own (at the rank they own) for the duration of the round they are affected by My Song. The effects of this Genjutsu overwrite any other Genjutsu of the same Sense while affected.
      • 5th - Reduces an affected target's Accuracy and Dodge by 1 for every 800 damage dealt for 10 seconds.
  • Costs: 3 AP; 500 Chakra per Note to initiate; 50% of the initial Chakra Cost per round maintained.
  • Notes:
    - Once dropped, requires a 10 second cooldown before recast.
    - My Song makes a Ninjutsu check each round active, and reapplies its effects at this time if hit.
    - This jutsu is a single attack, dealing the combined effects of all notes.
    - Special Note Effects does not extend to Creations and Clones currently active, but Contract Summons and Pets are affected by the effects.

NEW Negative Space - Shadow Genjutsu
A Genjutsu that originated as a prank, its effects in combat are said to be similar to that of the Shadow Dance... Assuming you ever got to see the Nara after they appear behind your back. The Nara appears to vanish in the eye's of the target, their body seeming to be engulfed by shadows and masking all sounds, leaving behind only the image of their own shadow with gleaming eyes staring up at the target in a threatening fashion.
Rank 1: Causes a target to see the Nara fade into shadows and away from view. The Nara is treated as if in Stealth Mode until their next attack. After they have made an attack they are no longer in stealth. At the end of the round, the user gains a +2 Stealth bonus to a stealth check.
Rank 2: Causes a target to see the Nara fade into shadows and away from view. The Nara is treated as if in Stealth Mode until their next attack. After they have made an attack they are no longer in stealth. At the end of the round, the user gains a +3 Stealth bonus to a stealth check.
Cost: 2.5 AP, 840 Cp to initiate, 280 Cp/Rnd.
Notes:
- Functions as a Will/Visual/Audial Genjutsu.
- May only be used on one target at a time.
- Requires a Genjutsu DC check at the start of each round.
- Should the victim succeed in a stealth check, they gain +2 Gen Save to the next round's Genjutsu check.
