Along the trenches of wrinkles that cover the mad scientist’s brains are woven runic seals written in an Ancient language that consists of both the Sunan Runic Terran and Ninjutsu Kanji. Woven into these runes are chakra that spike up the moment any foreign chakra even tries to touch Tama’s brain. The reaction immediatly draws his left hand into the half-seal to cancel chakra. On top of this, the scientist has also manage to write these runes into his own coil so that even the strongest of Genjutsu become repelled the moment they grace his form. The scientist does not take well to others controlling his mind or fate.
Along with Tama’s Endless Sky sword style, he infuses Genjutsu into his fighting style with his right hand. Perhaps the hardest thing he ever learned, Tama has grasped the technique used most by masters of Jutsu to continue adding their arsenal to physical attacks. In a change of pace for the scientist, he began to incorporate not Ninjutsu to his swordsmanship, but Genjutsu instead after having found confused targets far easier to kill. With his right hand the scientist silently weaves illusionary chakra into the air with the hand behind his back while battling with his sword to form a double front for his opponents to combat.
Through his many journeys through the desert wilds, Tama was rarely seen without his trusty lizard companion. Usually used as a mount to traverse the harshest parts of the dunes, the two formed a strong bond despite both having prideful personalities that seemingly rub against each other. Than Lan will threaten to eat Tama, the mad scientist returns the jab with a promise for scientific torture; neither one follows through. During combat the sizable lizard has been known to staunchly defend the Ryuu from attacks that would have proven to be huge set backs. In fact the creature proudly has a new scar that traverses his entire tail that was from defending Tama from a slicing wind attack.
Tama’s technique with the blade is one trained by an old Sunan combat style known as “Scorpion Sting”. Incorperating fencing like movements and blades that hold more tip than edge, the scientist’s sword technique goes a step further by weaving chakra into the air via his Hybrid powers. Like a mirrored shadow the swordsman moves with such subtlety that his attacks can be missed entirely until his opponent finds themselves cut right in half. He has long since created his own style of sword-technique he has dubbed: Endless Sky. A multi-layered technique that combines Iao and Foil Style Fencing, it has nearly endless variations to preforming techniques, making so that even the same attack will strike a different way.
Endless Sky took decades to perfect, and Tama never would have been able to do so without a lifetime of actual experience. To master Foil Style Fencing took his entire life. Starting with Scorpion’s Sting, the scientist built upon it by seeking out multiple forms of other swordsmen. Eventually he began to add on the techniques he found the most romantic, even slicing techniques that a weapon such as his would normally be incapable of preforming. This most notable addition to this was perfecting Iao, which ironically was what brought him to mastering his original fencing skills. Yet even with a mastered sword technique, Tama strives to continue adding to it by challenging other forms of martial arts.
Tama’s hidden genjutsu technique is but one step in a three part fold. Once the opponent has become sluggish underneath the illusions, the swordsman piles on his blades attacks before pulling a nasty handseal that triggers an end clause he places at the final step of his illusionary handseals. Once the clause is triggered, the Genjutsu destroys itself by spiking sudden bolts of chakra right into the opponent’s brain. The sudden jolts always sends his foes reeling, making the ability to conjecture even more illusions and catch them with his blade’s point that much easier. Beguile, Distract, and Terrorize, the three steps of his technique.
Few things are able to escape the notice of Ryuu Tama. His heritage as a Solar Ancient Hybrid gives him an uncanny control of everything that follows within the sky; particularly the wind itself. With a superhuman focus the scientist is able to sense anything moving within his wide field of chakra that is constantly toying and playing with the air all around him. This has helped his own fighting technique improve more than once, and is how he learned to dodge the infamous Iao’s zero-second slash; a feat he avoids trying to repeat. Ever since that fight the doctor has just had a good idea of where someone is trying to hide.
Deep within the Doc is a devastating hunger he keeps pinned down through a mixture of altered genetics and Ancient Sealing Techniques; yet he is never able to repress it completely. The ever ending hunger for souls and the need to replenish his energy as it eats at his own soulless form tears at the back of his mind. It is rare, but when an opponent has managed to push Tama far enough, he willingly unleashes the Ancient Hunger and the powers that it grants along with them. The longer he uses these powers, the more they eat away at his corporeal form, threatening to destroy the shell he created to keep living a life for the sake of living. So long as he manages to feast on a strong enough soul after unleashing such power he can maintain his current form, but the darkness gnawing within is always in the back of his mind.
