Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shigeo only chuckled as the man spoke. Perhaps assuming someone outside of a ninja village would understand the concept of such Jutsu was a bit optimistic. Hell, he didn’t quite get it sometimes. He simply knew that some Shinobi were capable of literary moving from one spot to another, remove themselves from this reality, rather than just move really fast. Sometimes it was hard to tell. He hoped the breasts here wouldn’t be that hard to hit regardless.

As they approached his group, it looked like his companions caused a commotion in the local people…He had no idea what all the little ones were saying, but he listened to the hunter and Judori. Heh, the idea made sense, trying to set one enemy against the other would never hurt…unless they were fighting somewhere where they caused collateral damage to you. Shigeo chuckled sheepishly as Judori spoke “Yeeeeah…sorry, I wasn’t quite expecting birds using giant beams of energy when we started this mission.”

It seemed Kaibudo didn’t need much encouragement, as he was preparing to achieve his full power. As they were left alone for now he said “Well then…looks like we’ll be hunting some big game, haha. Just what was that thing in the sky? Also, was the whole trying to provoke the Toranao some kind of way of getting Kaibudo to come help without asking him nicely?” he finished with a slightly confused tone. He couldn’t help but feel he was missing something…which as much as he wouldn’t admit was something that often happened when Judori went all smart on him.

Present time
Haru was also quite surprised as to how his sand was able to contain the skeleton, while even touching them before caused them to turn into dust. Curious, as was the whole situation…once you forgot about whole walking skeleton part. As Sousuke suggested some plans he quickly said “I would much rather you NOT dive into that, no matter what kind of armor you protect yourself with…I think a Metal clone should suffice to see how deep it goes…I can summon a sandworm, though it to would have a limited capacity…” he mused, before Kuro spoke up. After a bit of deliberating he said “Well…that does sound like the most effective way to seal it off until we can find where it comes from… Quite frankly, I feel the longer this exists the greater danger it poses, and I don’t think we could really find a safe place to move it. It seems like the best idea…though I’m not too keen on leaving anyone alone in this foul place…”

Kaibudo was indeed very angry with their new company. Rightfully so, considering he was the reason why they were here in the first place. Judori looked at the newly revealed Fen and then he looked at his people. There was something very wrong here. "Wait. Why are you taken this form. It is clearly very different from your people." Judori observed. There was something very wrong about this. Fen was far more human than they were. The shape was human, but Fen merely looked as they would. Judori knew that there was an explanation to be had.

Fen looked at the two men and then Kaibudo. The hunter did not seem to want to answer the reason as to why this was the case. He was clearly not comfortable with the answer as to why. "Our people... we be possessin' an object that will allow our ultimate potential to flourish. There is a price though. I thought I could handle this myself. I can't though."<i></i> He admitted. There were murmurs now of the object. Kaibudo would hear words that resembled bleak, dark, black, dread, all sorts of words. The second word that followed was all too clear to be understood. Mirror. "The black Vortex."<i></i> Fen would say.

Judori's puppet eyes glowed green. "Your people are in possession of that weapon? The price you speak of. Your mind then must not be sound?" It would explain why then that Kaibudo was attacked. Judori had heard rumors of this weapon. There was little known about it. Those that looked into it saw a reflection of themselves at their highest potential. The problem was that if they submitted to the image, it was likely they would descend unto criminal maddness. The body would be forever powerful, but the mind would be torn asunder. "Kaibudo. We're taking these people with us. Our foe is capable of destroying the land we walk on. If you're as learned as I am you know full well that if our enemy is aware of what these people are keeping safe, we have to concentrate our efforts." As Kaibudo continued to channel and focus his power, Judori 's puppet formed seals and summoned a disc. It was clothed, and Judori pulled away the clothe he revealed a shield. The shield had a curious sigil on it. It was now Takahashi sigil of the horse. It was a stag horns with a moon in back. Mumurs could be heard amongst the wilder people as the words 'moon shield' was heard. The moon shield was also known in common as the mirrior shield. To make things even more curious Judori's hand reached forward and grasped at thing air as a black sheath materialized. He looked to Shiego. "Go on. We're going to have to go full on out."

The Present

"Well. Kuro probably does have the best idea."<i></i> Sousuke said considering the thought. "That being said. I don't think leaving you here is safe either. I've had that feeling of being watched. I don't like it. Leaving you out here seemes careless. Granted what you said earlier. I think summoning Ken would be a good idea just to at least have someone watch Kuro's back."<i></i> He offered. "The seal that you are offering to use though, is it going to vaccume this out? Or are we simply pushing it aside while Haru and I move in?"<i></i> He questioned. Kuro was always the planner, he had the answers Sousuke required. "At the very least this does sound like a sound plan. Let's go to work then."<i></i> The feeling of being watched only intensified though. There was a shift in the wind that caused Sousuke to stop though and turn around. "Hmmm..."<i></i>

Kaibudo palmed his face as the thoughts spiraled to their inevitable conclusion... "Fen you will need to learn humility to control the hubris that led you to believe you could control that kind of power and drag all your people along with you into this madness. When we finish with the main threat, take these people to the dojo I will personally seal away their madness but one of you must be left in possession of the Mirror's curse in order to seal the curse on your people. One of you will have to continue the eternal watch and always stare into the abyss, you are their leader Fen so I charge you to bear your people's burden until something equal to or stronger than the object you have used is found to counteract it."<i></i> Kaibudo began to glow as violet chakra and green energy spilled forth from his body in waves as he unleashed his potential in 3 gates. With his third, fourth, and fifth chakra gates open, Kaibudo was primed for battle his shift into full battle form only waiting for a flicker of thought. The monster that Fen had unleashed was in true danger now.

Present:
Kuro smiled at his little brother's concern but remedied it easily..."Don't worry Sousuke-san, I can watch my own back, I will actually be placing my shin shun jutsu talisman in your hands so that you need only focus your chakra near it and I will be alerted to come to your aid. This seal will keep it sealed up inside the confines. It won't clean it up but it won't go any further or any deeper into the land. Your path to the source will be clear for all intents and purposes."<i></i> Kuro quickly formed handseals as two more versions of himself appeared Sharingan Kuro and Chouryokou Kuro quickly leapt away using moving at high speeds to avoid and form a perfect triangle around the rift of corruption. Forming the ox seal last Kuro nodded to Sousuke and Harupia " I have this part covered, find the source and then give me the signal. <i></i>Kuro passed Sousuke an altered kawarimi tag that was longer and more ornate than any normal one he had ever carried. It actually felt heavy despite being a piece of paper.

This seemed to happen form time to time when he dealt with Judori. There was a lot of secrets in this world, buried deep down in the ground, hidden away in the mountains, secret societies hidden in the desert...though that something his family had in its blood, so he could understand it a bit more. Then a talk of a dark artifact, one he knew little about...Though he had a feint recollection of his friend talking about it...though at the time he might have been more interested in the drink he was heaving. It was important enough to have Judori worried, and apparently ready to defend all the people here. Quite seriously, as he had his puppet summons his weapons. The shield he knew very quiet a bit about, the sword was a bit of a surprise. It seemed like a mighty fine blade, even if it appeared from thin air. Kaibudo was also pumped up, unleashing his power. And quite frankly, Shigeo was liking the situation quite a bit. he wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but he didn’t care much. he knew there was a mighty foe somewhere end the desert, wanting something important. And that he and his friends were going to stomp him to the curb before he would get it.

Shigeo was not quite as... dashing with his preparation. he dropped the clock he had wrapped around him, revealing his muscled chest and shirt. from behind his belt he took a small staff, which soon started to focus sand around it, some from under his shirt and pants where many pouches were hidden. The sand was made out of the hardest minerals he managed to gather, ground into a fine dust, soon forming a obsidian bo stuff, one he could manipulate in its shape if needed. Besides that, he needed no preparation, for he had his weapon already drawn. The entire soil under his feet was his weapon, and he would use it to crush anything that dared stand in his way. . resting the staff again his shoulder he would say "I’ve been ready to go since we got here, but glad to see you two catching up. Calling dibs on the birds head...gonna look nice hanging onto he dojo wall..."

And then time flew by

Harupia watched Kuro summon his other two bodies, the mysterious power he posed still fascinating to him... If anything, Kuro would be the best suited to guard himself, though any assistance would surely be helpful...but the best they could do was go to the source of this...whatever this was, and deal with it quickly. Tapping Kuro gently on his shoulder he said *You take care of yourself, an don’t worry, me and Sousuke are going to get rid of this as fast as we can" before turning to his friend, who seemingly was trying to spot something out "Let’s not waste time, mm? Whatever might be watching us...I’m sure it’ll make itself known sooner then we'd wish" he mused before moving forward. There was a sense of dread coursing through hi...he didn’t want to go there, out of a natural instinct to not want to be close to something so vile...but it was something that needed to be done.

Judori had taken time to explain to the locals in a basic form of sign language the plan. They were going to set some traps for their foe. They needed to get that bird down and then trap it so that it could no longer go air born. Judori would fashion a number of wire traps. With Shiego and Kaibuo's help he would put them in strategic locations. With a little luck, they would be able to get their enemy down. Kuro and Shiego had prepared for the battle to come. It was only a matter of time before their foe revealed themselves again. The three of them would form a perimeter defense.

The hard part was the waiting. Judori's perimeter was silent. The puppet's eyes glowed red. "Judori to Shiego and Kaibudo. No movement yet." Judori focused. "Wait." In the night's sky there was a shimmer. The shimmer continued and then their enemy showed up. The large demonic bird looking entity. "The enemy has presented itself. Preparing trap launcher one. Kaibudo. Fire your trap next." Judori signaled to the villagers with him they used their nails and slashed the rope. The trap had sprung and the net was fired, with Judori being spring boarded. Judori landed on the wing of the bird and leaned forward. The net enclosed and began to emit chakra to cling unto the wings. Upon the bird Judori found that he wasn't the only one alone. "The avian isn't alone. Humanoid on board." He relayed as he got to his feet and prepared his shield. Immediately a loud clang was heard and a nova went outward. Their new foe was of hooves and red flesh. She slammed Judori with her hammer.

"Be crushed spawn of man! Show yourself kinsmen. You befoul our kind by associating with this filth." She slammed him again, and attempting to draw Kaibudo out. Another nova went off. The night's sky was filled with the nova once more. The villagers seemed to grow panicked. They were all put back in line when Fen shouted at them. Judori pushed forward with his mirror shield and caused the bird to veer southward towards Kaibudo's trap. Judori was sticking to the plan. The giant puppet was knocked over as their foe swept him off his feet.

The Present

Sousuke took the tag from Kuro and watched him summon his two other bodies. Sousuke didn't expect it to weigh as much as it did so he form slightly drooped until he figured out that there was a massive size to weight ratio present. It wasn't that Sousuke capable of carrying it. It came as a surprise. Surpises only worked once, so Sousuke would be very much prepared for the next time Kuro decided to hand him this tag again. "I never know whether or not it is rude that I don't greet your other bodies. So. Greeting fellow Kuros."</B><i></i> He said slightly awkwardly. Yes. Kuro had various bodies for all sorts of tasks. "Alright then. Let's go to work."<i></i>

Once the barrier began to push back the corruption Sousuke and Harupia, they would begin to head down into the depths. Sousuke would armour up, and draw the black blade. Curiously he also had on his person a very foreign and tribal looking axe. Kuro would recnognize it as the weapon that was used to bring down Magnetica. The weapon seemed to be drinking in the presence of the Toraono. The weapon which was always in a constant stage of bleeding green blood seemed to be given pause. Was the weapon afraid? Or was it merely tasting the air and the challenges that lurked ahead.

As Sousuke and Harupia walked down the path they would find the corruption growing darker and darker. Was it due to Kuro's barrier forcing a concentration of it? The two Sunans would find bones of humans present. Unlike before the bones were not animated unlike before. They were merely just lying there. The deeper they travelled down the path the more skeletons they found and the less human they were starting to seem. Sousuke stopped at one point and picked up one of the limbs he found. <B>"Starting to think the people who lived down here were hiding themselves down here from the rest of the natural world. That or they were trying to hide themselves from someone." He suggested. In time Harupia and Sousuke would journey deeper and deeper. The black blockaide stopped. What was on the other side of it certainly looked problematic. It was a heart? Well. Heart of the corruption. It was an orb with a slab of earth burning inside. The orb was surrounded by five skeletons who seemed to be feeding it energy. Sousuke held the tag and snapped it to call Kuro.

Past:
Kaibudo saw Judori's puppet armored form go down even as he caused the bird to veer toward him. With 3 gates open Kaibudo was prepared for high speed movement necessary to protect his friends. Firing off the anchored chakra net Kaibudo then focused his movement to surpass the speed of net and synchronize his attack with it. As the net struck the avian creature Kaibudo's attack was right behind it by barely a millisecond as he repaid the bird for blindsiding them earlier tenfold. Pain engulfed Kaibudo's body as the 7th gate flickered open causing even his demon enhanced muscles to form tears as he unleashed a massive tiger shaped blast of air pressure using the demonic aura Kaibudo naturally possesses and his enhanced fighting aura to alter the a massive amount of air pressure into a giant tiger that would rush through the air to attack the bird, giving the impression that it was being attacked before the strike is dealt. The air pressure is condensed into a single focal point of a strike, and upon contact, the pressure is released in a large concussive explosion. The strength behind this technique enables it to pierce through nearly any defense, while the optical-illusive and non-chakra properties make this skill nearly untraceable. Kaibudo pushed on to unleash a massive double maelstrom of energy one for the bird and the other for the red hooved female that attacked Judori, but Kaibudo wasn't done there as he followed up with his final martial arts combination unleashing the shi shi no ken utilizing the power of Kaibudo's unlocked gates to strike at inhuman speed. Kaibudo assaults the bird in a series lightning quick blows, each hit would bash the bird down further. This barrage is followed with a massive strike to slam the bird full force into the ground, all within a few brief, untraceable movements.

Present:
Akuma Kuro, Kyojin Kuro, and Chouryoku Kuro maintained the black blockade as Kuro summoned his all seeing hunting form Mouko Kuro in response to Sousuke's signaling the use of his kawarimi tag as Mouko Kuro then swapped places with the altered tag to appear at Sousuke's side. Mouko Kuro quickly took in the entire area with his 359 degrees of sight. The orb was being fed by 5 skeletons and that alone was not the most disturbing point. It was all the dead, human, humanoid, and bestial dead. It was as if an entire civilization had been engulfed and devoured leaving only their bones. Horror was not a feeling Kuro was used to he believed very little could unnerve him as he dealt with the surreal on a near daily basis but the proximity to this much death and obvious suffering began to chip away at his heart and rage began to leak free. "Sousuke san, I can summon allies from the tiger contract when we need but I say this with all the spite I can muster... whatever or whoever caused this... MUST BE DESTROYED...."<i></i>

Shigeo listened to the plan as intently as possible, spreading out to set up the traps as needed. As much as he didn't like to, Shigeo opted to stay behind for now. If only so he could get acquainted a bit better wit the earth here. Different soils could act in mysterious ways, some were much more light, some could be filled with a lot more harsh, sharp gems to use as weapons... And they'd need a lot of it to make sure the bird would br grounded once it came in range...though it wouldn't take long for him to get to known the soil.

And he was ever ready to move in, especially seeing the two other warriors move in. It appeared that there was someone in command of the giant Avian creature. Of course, they needed to get more demons involved. At least that how it looked with the red skin and pretty big set of horns on her head... and she could be such a pretty face too...Unforntunately, the fact she was attacking Judori quite brutally clearly indicated she didn't have any mind for a more casual chat.

Shigeo started to step back, trying to strain the net as much as he could, while a clump of sand formed before him, which soon formed into an arrow like tip, almost half his own size, which he stepped on with one foot, before stepping away to let it loose. And so the Sunaku zoomed through the air, surfing on a giant projectile made of sand, aiming it at the birds belly. Right before imapct he jumped of it and towards the lady commanding the bird, brandishing the Sunaku staff his father passed onto him. Sand formed around its end, forming into a large, spiked club, which he swung down at his foe with all the might he had. Now things were starting to get fun.

Present

Not fun...this was not fun at all. Why did he even have the thought? Well, usually whatever misadventures he had with Sousuke had been... something worth remembering. There were wild adventures, goofy shenanigans, intense battles, but it was something worth mentioning to your friends. This was just... he couldn't lay a finger on it, but it felt wrong. The bones laying on the ground were one thing, the scent of death haning in the air. But as he moved deeper into the deep caverns with Sousuke, he felt the rock and ground around him..."They are everywhere Sousuke...I, I can feel the difference...thousands of bones, bodies, ground into the sand, mingled with rock and mineral...and I can just feel the foul energy everywhere...god, whatever this is....needs to be gone" he mused, his stomach churning. He wasn't going to puke or anything like that...he hoped, but for some reason, he could just feel the filth oozing everywhere, in every piece of the cavern...

And then they found...something. An orb in the middle of the darkness...and five skeletons feeding of it, guarding it... As one of Kuro's bodies joined them he said "Well...the question is, how much trouble can 5 animated pile of bones fueled by this...thing cause us. And just how fast we can finally dispose of it...". He did not want to be here, he did not want to feel this decay, this darkness, the bones grinded into the ground...but he did, and he couldn't free himself of the feeling...until they were done.

The Past

The large demonic bird flapped its wings as it panicked. Kaibudo's attack came and socked the bird right in the head. The bird flapped backwards upon impact. The demoness fell backwards too as she lost her footing. Judori swung his blade and stabbed into the wing. Judori prevented himself from falling down by doing this. "Shiego." Judori called, "Now. Now would be a very good time to show your artistry." The puppet spoke as Shiego finally made his show. A giant sand arrow fired through the sky. The arrowed said through the sky as Judori and Kaidubo were now fighting the red demoness. Kaibudo's second attack was cancelled out. Not by much though. The demoness raised her hammer and struck against his fist. Kaibudo's hand did feel like it had just punched a brick, with spikes on it. The two forces counter each other and pushed Kaibudo back. The old Demon Lord was almost about to fall except he was grabbed by a metallic hand. "Where is Shiego..." By this time Judori would see the arrow flying now. It was coming and getting closer. The arrow was aimed for the heart of the bird. "We're going to suffer a rough landing. I should have thought this out more before doing so..."

*KA THOCK*

The arrow landed. More importantly it landed through the chest of the bird. An ear piercing cry could be heard as the arrow went through the bird's heart. "Come immediately if convenient, if inconvenient come anyway." It was something he would often say to Shiego who was now trying to pick a fight with the demoness. His sand staff collided with the hammer, but Shiego didn't have the physical force behind it. He got slammed hard and was hurtling towards Judori and Kaibudo. "Fast-ball special." He announced as he hurled Kaibudo at the woman again with some force. Judori would then swing himself to grab Shiego who was falling now. Kaibudo would find himself being hurled at the demoness who had jumped off of the bird too and was going for the landing. All five of them were falling and falling fast. Impact was going to come immediately.

The Present

Sousuke listened to both Kuro and Harupia speak. "Yes... this ... contrust?"<i></i> He wasn't sure what it was. He looked at it and ultimately saw what it was. It was a mirror. The construct managed to catch his eye. As did both Kuro, and Kaibudo. The mirror would be staring into them it seemed. Each of them would hear something in their head. Whispers of powers and potential. They would see something then in the mirror. A reflection of what was being told to them.

For Sousuke what he saw in the reflection was something like that of Mikaboshi. A hood entity staring back at him. Together. Together we will prevent Sungakure from suffering any harm. The Cabal nor its like will ever form again.<i></i> It promised him. The image transformed into a pile of bodies. The bodies of the Cabal all broken and defeated. The image of the dark stranger having conquered all of them. Sousuke closed his eyes. He shook his head. When he looked back into the mirror he saw a shining and glorious Sungakure. Give in. Your ultimate potential awaits. All you merely need to do is... submit to it.[/grey]

Sousuke wasn't the only one being subjected to these images. Both Kuro and Harupia would see promises of power and potential in the mirror. It was tempting, of so very tempting indeed. Power rarely though presented itself so freely without a cost. What was the cost? That was not discussed. That was not on the table.

"Shield yourselves in Sand and Armor and don't worry about me, I am going to end this quickly before my body gives out and things really get interesting."</COLOR><i></i> As the saying in most battle manga would go this was not his final form and no one knew that but Kaibudo. With Judori's assistance he sailed through the air toward the demoness with Shiego and Judori falling back as Kaibudo gave them both and evil wink before he literally began to run along the pockets of air speeding up even while falling to perform an aerial lotus attack upon the demoness.
"Don't run girly girl I only beat down your avian ally to give this present to you... STRIKES OF THE DEMON BEAST DUKE!!!"
Kaibudo's Dark Chakra FIST OF SIN- Greed - would strike the demon girl as his second fist of virtue laced with human chakra patience completed stage 1 and 2 of the 3 step combo as demon chains spiraled out to enwrap her allowing him to perform Kaibudo's insane primary lotus URA RENGE. Time slowed down for the demon beast duke and the demoness as Kaibudo waylaid her knowing he was only keeping her busy and allowing her to defend herself against his insane attacks as they got closer to full acceleration during their fall. Kaibudo would grin yet again as his true goal became apparent as another chain lashed out to snag the falling avian creature for more weight as he placed the bird atop the demoness using his chains to bind it atop her as he grabbed it by the throat and with a final burst of chakra inspired rage screamed the maneuver so everyone would know to get out of the way. <COLOR color="indigo">"DEMONIC RAGE EAGLE DROP!!!!"<i></i> The crater the impact of this technique would cause would be legendary.

Present:
Mouko Kuro froze as the mirror promised the entirety of Kuro the mastery of all sages light and dark, full autonomy for his multiple forms and mastery of each avatars ultimate capacity. The majesty of protecting the entirety of wind and making sure every family was safe sat upon his heart until he felt the chaotic tug of energies beyond celestial. Energies of ruin and a snarl emerged from the Hunter Demon form of Kuro as he began to draw upon the energy he needed to attack. This was the ultimate trap. "THIS INSIDIOUS THING IS SOME KIND OF TRAP... WE ... MUST... DESTROY... IT!!!"<i></i>
