She wanted to cartwheel her way down the gangway, but alas Haruka couldn't cartwheel to save her life in such a tight skirt. The brisk and chilling air made the Cloud ninja race down the wooden plank and onto the shore. The cold, the dull gray sky, and the putrid smell of the docks was all too beautiful for the homesick shinobi. Her tropical outfit seemed entirely ridiculous to those now boarding no doubt. Haruka hurried into a nearby restaurant and asked to use a backroom to change. She was oh-so-excited to finally be wearing thick material, layers, and scarves again. She slipped into black spandex pants. The lacing of her boots was an almost exhilarating experience. She went for an all black outfit, sliding her arms and torso into a long sleeve shirt. A dark green coat, the color of the forest leaves, with trim white fur on the collar and cuffs bundled her up completely. Throwing the old outfit into her pack haphazardly, Haruka bounded out the door and towards the mountain path.
She would not dilly dally at this leg of the journey, not when she was so close to being home. Her raven hair tied up in a high ponytail whipped around in the cold. The Haku felt a comfortable numbness as the ice in her vein soaked up the chilling air. Counting off all the things she would accomplish when she got home, Haruka started off on the path towards the gates. Not much further now. The homesick woman missed so few, but she hoped to change. This meeting with a band of important shinobi of Mist inspired Haruka to learn a little more about her country's government. She admitted her ignorance, but only after she and Natsu had fought over such a trivial thing. Natsu...She hoped he was alright. He would be home very soon, right? After all, he was the only friend she had now. How strange that such an alliance came from the boy who crashed through her sun roof.
