A Breeze Under Fiery Wings [Courier Message]

A majestic bird of prey made a screeching cry as it soared high above the peaks and valleys of Dragon Tooth Pass. The beast was a falcon from what the guards below could tell, and was of a common variety used by the couriers in their region. This bird, in particular, had its course set for the telegraph office, which maintained the practice of receiving courier birds ages before the practice of typed transmissions. Not even three hours had passed since the creature had left from its origin in Port Cirrus, but it's perfected genetics and powerful wings delivered it in little time. With its fiery crimson wings spread wide, the raptor swooped into one of the several perches established for his kind.

The message delivered by the falcon was directed to the Cloud's Shinobi Corps, destined for the Raikage and his most trusted personnel. A small party of shinobi from the Hidden Leaf have arrived at Port Cirrus by way of the sea. The Hokage, honorable Namikaze Umashi, seeks to parlay with the Raikage on friendly terms, to discuss a potential alliance and trade negotiations. In order to smoothen the process of their affairs, the shinobi of the Leaf have requested that the Cloud send a skilled guide to the inn at Port Cirrus, to join the Leaf Party, and show them a path to the Hidden Cloud, free of local hazards and conflicts. Attempting to conform to the laws of their land, the leaf party sought the expertise of one of the cloud's own to show them the way.

A masked man at the gates spotted the hawk and beckoned for it to approach, accepting the letter. The seal on the letter was that of Konoha, one the likes of which had not been seen at the gates in many long years. There had been rumors of the village making a comeback, but nothing confirmed. The letter was addressed to the Raikage, and as such would not be opened by him.

”Hmm,” the man said before holding a finger to his headset in order to use it. ”Inform the Raikage that a message has arrived for him… from Konoha,” he spoke. Satisfied that this message was adequately cryptic, he made for the Torre Celeste to deliver the message.
