Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Every shinobi's first and most reliable weapon. While some wear weighted gloves or otherwise augment their unarmed fighting to increase its effectiveness, Ie does not. He is by no means a martial artist, but after years of being involved in street brawls combined with the Taijutsu training he received from the Academy and his experience on missions, Ie has become a proficient unarmed fighter. With his natural agility his punches and kicks are almost lightning-like, and despite his short stature he can leverage a larger opponents size against them with some clever grappling. Close-quarters combat is something you want to avoid when it comes to fighting this street tough.

Ninja Tools

It is increasingly rare nowadays to see ninja utilize their most basic tools in combat. Spamming high-level Ninjutsu might work for some...but at least for Ie that isn't at all an option. His Non-Elemental techniques are mostly supportive in nature so that means he has to rely on other methods in combat. For a quick thinker such as he, simple ninja tools suit that purpose just fine. He isn't a deadeye marksman by any means but his skill with kunai and shuriken aren't anything to bat an eyelash at. If need be these thrown weapons can function secondarily as a piercing tool.

Ambidexterity: (Learning)
Right hand or left? Unfortunately for many ninja they are mostly limited to only one choice. Ie isn't. Of course he has a naturally dominant hand and that is his right, but after years of training as a shinobi (and even longer getting into gigantic scraps with rival gangs...) he has finally grown accustomed to using his left almost as much as his right. Not only does this give him a backup option if his main arm is ever damaged or bound for some reason, but it allows him to attack effectively with both hands at the same time. What he can't overcome with his tactics and wit he can just overwhelm with an unending onslaught of Taijutsu.

Kleptomania: (Learning)
A life on the streets is by no means an easy one...but it does offer those who survive a few useful skills that they'll carry with them the rest of their lives. One of those skills? Pickpocketing. Along with Zai, Ie and many other members of the Ku-9's have been nicking wallets, jewlery, and other valuables for years. Mostly from members of "high society" that decide to take a pity stroll through the Cron for publicity. Deft hands and dextrous fingers ensure that he can be in and out of someone's pocket without them ever knowing. And by the time they realize he's usually long gone.

Weapon Attunement: (Learning)
Knowing the ins and outs of of your equipment can be the difference between life and death. Luckily for Ie, his own body is his main weapon! He's been fighting with his hands and feet for as long as he can remember so to say that he's just some unskilled brawler would be a lie. He might not be the biggest or strongest guy around, but with his agile maneuvers and years of experience fighting he can take apart most people at close range. And even when not duking it out face-to-face, he is familiar enough with his kunai and shuriken to apply pressure from a distance. Ie is someone who knows his weapons. And that shows when he's in action.

Elemental Aura: (Learning)
An ability Ie possess but has yet to come to the surface. His lineage is that of the sky. Or storm clouds and lightning and rain. Of nature. Of destruction. But of course he is completely unaware. When the time finally does come he will find that his chakra flows just a freely as bolts of electricity from darkened clouds. Within him lies the ability sustain being wreathed in powerful chakra for long periods of time. And his makeshift armor will be far more potent than the average shinobi's. But that, along with a few other surprises, will all come in time...

Acrobatics: (Learning)
As far as being an acrobat goes, Ie definitely isn't. What he is, however is very agile and capable of maneuvering with more dexterity than most. He isn't one for extravagant flips and somersaults but he is quite fleet-footed even without the use of chakra. Jumping from tree to tree? Easy. Scaling a building to get a better vantage point from which to plan his next move? No sweat. You probably won't catch him in the circus any time soon...but you might catch a glimpse of him circling behind you before he knocks your lights out. If you're lucky.

Quickdraw: (Learning)
Part of having deft hands means it is quite easy to switch weapons on the fly. Ie's nimble digits can go from punching you in the face to swiping shuriken from his item pouch in the blink of an eye. And after he's done peppering you with throwing stars? Right back to fists meeting your face! This grants him another level of unpredictability in fights and makes it easier to keep opponents on the defensive with a seemingly endless string of attacks. Being able to switch methods of attack in an instant is helpful for a number of reasons. Which becomes apparent when watching him do battle.

Stalker: (Learning)
Shadows. Darkness. Something Ie is more familiar with than most other kids his age. From leading a life of petty crime to his training at the Aurora Eruditio, he has consistently shown a knack for masking his presence and remaining hidden. His footsteps silent. His form gone from view. Being able to stalk a target without them knowing or quickly vanish into the night is irreplaceable to a ninja. And deadly to those who oppose him. Those without keen Dōjutsu or strong sensory abilities have little to no chance of finding him once he disappears. And even if they do find him...it'll likely be too late.

Defensive Technique: (Learning)
Defense. More important than offense? I wouldn't say that. Ie wouldn't either. But to completely neglect it in today's world of ultra-powerful shinobi is almost suicide. Growing up on the streets of the Cronopolis Ie has been in his fair share of fights. He had to fight. In order to survive. In order to provide for his sister. And since forming the Ku-9's along with Zai the level of violence he has been faced with has steadily increased. Knowing how to read and properly guard against incoming attacks could mean the difference between taking a dirt nap or walking away. Or at least the difference between winding up in the hospital or not.

Duelist: (Learning)
One-on-one combat. Not everyone is suited to dueling an opponent with no other distractions. Some people are best suited for large groups of enemies. Some just for support and not battle at all. And while Ie is not adverse to taking on more than one enemy, he is adept at fighting a single opponent and taking them apart with his Unarmed Taijutsu at close range. Years of fighting has molded him into competence duelist. He isn't a trained martial artist by any means...but his experience more than makes up for that. Reading an opponent. Feinting. Blocking. Dodging. Counterattacking. These are things he understands. And if he's fighting someone who doesn't? They're in for a world of hurt.

Strategist: (Learning)
Now, Ie's no prodigy. He's had to work hard to hone his skills....and even though he never planned on climbing the ninja ranks, someone must've seen something in him because he was recently promoted to Chuunin. Part of his efficacy likely comes from his sharp wit. Not only can his tongue be scathing when it needs to be, but he also has the ability to formulate complex plans of action and execute them even on the fly. He has a leader's mind (as much as he would vehemently deny it) and can take everything into account while coming up with strategies...if he decides to. For now he's content with shirking his duties and hanging around his trouble-making friends.

Willpower: (Learning)
The will to survive. Something he has always had in excess. How else could a four year old boy provide for himself and his infant sister on his own? Time have always been tough for Ie and Oya. But with him stepping up and doing whatever he needed to do in order to survive, his experience has molded him into someone of extreme focus and unstoppable force of will. When the time calls for it, that is. Genjutsu is by far Ie's weakest skill but to think that an illusionist will be able to dominate his mind easily is just foolish. A careless Genjutsu specialist might find themselves face-to-face with Ie if they grow overconfident in their skills. And everyone knows what Genjutsu specialists are weak against...

...a fist to the face.
