Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Soku glanced at her map as she trekked beyond the the statues that overlooked the Valley. The ruins of an lab had to be here somewhere, at least that's what the map said. She glanced at her surroundings and her eyes narrowed at a small dirt path that could be barely be seen with the naked eye winding off to the left.
"Just like the map said. Seems like it isn't a fake after all." Soon, this document would lead her to the place where the events that led up to that fateful night occurred. Soku wanted answers and this is where she would find them. She continued on , the sun glaring down upon her. Then she halted giving a small relieved sound at the sight of a structure suddenly appearing from the hilltop.

"Bingo." Soku with a new found willpower and determination powered up the hill until she stood in front of the remains. The place looked really dark and old with mossy vines hanging over the entrance and critters crawling everywhere. The stonework was falling apart and the place looked like it could fall apart at any second. "No way this is safe." She cautiously took a step forward but nothing happened. She walked slowly and slowly deeper into the remains until she was engulfed in darkness. Soku utilized a Lightning Style technique to emit some light as she walked searching for the room which was on her map which read Corridor B, Room 23. She was in Corridor B but there was only Room 22 and 24. There was nothing between! Soku stood baffled as she took in the numbers unsure of her next step.

It seemed that the person that came to this derelict site was not aware of the traps, the contraptions and the destruction that lingered in this place as well as all the tricks and the deceptions that could come from walking around these halls, but that was something they would have to come to terms with at some point. For now, they still needed to explore but the hidden walls, the locked doors and the security that still lingered around this place would put up a fight even if the Anbu in Training did not realise this factor. But they would soon learn as Soku used the lightning to emit some light it would trigger the defences that laid dormant for so long, the experiment rooms and the chambers where operations had been taking place still had the blood on the tables from this time.

The lights in each of the rooms slowly flickered and the dim hew filled each of the rooms, exploring this place would be an option if the real entrance would be found. Though it was in the room that she stood away from the problem that Soku would soon face was in the massive hulking noises coming from further down the abandoned corridor it seemed that she had a lot of issues ahead of her just by being there, after all would someone leave something that had held secrets for years so unprotected, that chance was not a high one and it seemed that the answer was now becoming clear. A small flicker of light was appearing around the corner as it trundled towards the Anbu in Training, it seemed that she had taken to long standing there baffled, she would have to choose what to do next as the image of what had been coming her way finally appeared.

It was a massive black lizard like creation, its hands ending in sharp pointy claws and its mouth filled with rows of teeth, it seemed to have been created to be the perfect hunter, its tongue flicking out in the air almost tasting the scent of the intruder that had been in the room. It seemed that Soku had finally found out what things lingered around to protect this place, was it human or was it a monster was yet to be seen, its massive black head spun in her direction as the scent and flicker of light caught its attention. Though dormant for so long, it was wet as water dripped from tis skin, it had finally been allowed to be released it would seem.

Instantly it was heading towards her, the eyes on the side of its head rotating to focus on the girl that had come into its world. It seemed that it would be hunting her today, though Soku was a member of the ANBU branch and would have to prove what that training had meant for her in this situation, someone wanted to keep her from finding the truth that was down here how would she deal with this was the question that had to be answered now.

The kunoichi snapped out of her thinking phase after hearing a series of odd noises followed by the sound of what sounded like steps coming toward her direction. She turned to face the newcomer and immediately regretted her choice. "Well, I see you've come to welcome me." It was a reptile of some sort, a lizardlike shape, black in color and seemed intent on making the girl it's daily meal for the deal which of course was not on her list of things to do. It was soaking wet too, liquid seeping down onto the hard stone floor as it crept ever close. I hate to do this but I've really got to find this Room 23 and you don't look like the local tour guide around these parts." Soku unsheathed her trusty triple bladed kunai which gleamed in the dimly lit corridor, a black lightning bolt engraved into its hilt.
Lightning chakra began to surround the weapon as she pointed it towards the creature in an attempt to ward it off."Trust me. You're much better off just leaving me alone." The AiT kept one eye focused on the creature while she scanned for any potential clues to this Room 23. She noticed a discrepancy between some bricks on the wall but there lay the issue, it was directly behind this nightmarish reptile. "You leave me no choice then." She stepped forward bring the kunai closer in an attempt to get the creature to retreat it's steps so she could reach that area. Her eyes were focused on its black, serpentine shape as its tounge darted in and out probably waiting for the prime time to strike.

The girl got as close as she dared just barely out of striking distance and began distracting the creature by waving the kunai in random motions to avert it's attention away from her real purpose which was to to get past it to that small opening between the two bricks."That's right, focus on the kunai,
not me."
Her map had fallen out of her pack when the lizard had approached and Soku did not want to go back to retrieve it. Backing up away from the lizard would probably be seen as a sign of weakness and could spell potential disaster for her. She peered at the animal more closely nodding as she took in its features."You're one of my father's experiments aren't you? I wonder how many more of you there are left alive." In all honesty, she didn't want to find out and certainly didn't want to know if this lizard thing had friends too.

She was so close to the bricks she could almost touch it but any sudden movements might alert the creature and she would be dead. A few seconds would be all it takes to end her life right here and now, the kunochi was in a risky position and playing cat and mouse with a animal she had no idea of what it was . capable of. Awareness was key and if she misread the reptiles mood, she was dead, that was simple. Soku spoke in a quiet and calm voice hooping to sooth the lizard making it feel more at ease with her and the surroundings."Relax...you're fine now. No one's going to hurt you and I'm not going to hurt you if you don't eat me that is. That would be rotten."

It seemed that Soku was trying to hide from the creature, though playing cat and mouse was a hard task when the thing that was the hunter had the abilities of smell that the reptile had, its drool clearly dripping on the floor. Hissing could be heard with each drop as it begun to corrode at the ground trying to eat its way threw each of the dominate concreate its teeth snapped and its tongue flicked out as it picked up on the air and the movements, even in this environment it proved that it could be the deadliest of enemies if provoked and it seemed that entering into its territory had done just that. Its head flicking and almost snapping with the speed that it turned as the young Shinobi spoke to the lizard creature.

It seemed that her talk had made it agitated and aggressive, it probably wasn’t the best idea to try and talk to something that had the potential to kill you just by the movements that it made, that was the first mistake but right now the question is how much worse the situation could get. At the lizard seemed to listen to her words two glands on the side of its neck begun to enlarge it seemed that it was preparing something, though what that was still was to be seen. It was clear that what ever it was preparing had been completed as it allowed its venom to come free from its lips as it spit towards the Shinobi, it was clear that its focus in this situation was on making her feel pain, though the accuracy was lacking as it echoed the damage onto the wall which begun to burn with a fury that would have seen the Shinobi probably incapacitated.

It seemed that Soku would have some small luck on her side, as the wall moved slightly and it begun to creak in those few seconds, it seemed the bricks had shifted in the wall and the gears that had stayed dormant for so long where slowly moving, the rotating parts where moving and it seemed that the mechanism finally gave in to the pushing that had been done on it, though the question now was what behind the door as the bricks begun to slowly lower themselves down in those few seconds. It seemed that dim light was radiating up what would be considered a spiral staircase though the damage and the bricks that were missing would consider this more of a death trap than a stair case that was built for someone to walk down them safely.

The question that the young Shinobi would have to ask herself right now, would she fight the lizard, or seem what was down the stairs, how much worse could it get. Of course, she came here for the answers, but the question that she would have to answer would be what would be the price for those answers that she wanted to know. It seemed right now that choice was being given to her.

Soku retreated a bit as the creature spat a ball of venom drool at her nearly hitting her bringing a gaping hole in the wall. It certainly wasn't in the mood for talking so Soku decided to shut her trap before things took a turn for the worse but that was exactly what happened. There was a creak then a clang as some hidden mechanism started working and the wall parted revealing a spiral staircase that looped down and down into the depths of darkness. "Well, I think I found Room 23." She eyed the lizard who was now agitated glaring at her with those dull eyes. The girl would not strike unless if it attacked first not wishing to provoke the lizard as she made quick but silent steps toward the staircase. The girl tested the first step of the spiraling platform and instantly knew this was a bad idea. Either this or face the lizard who wasn't exactly in the happiest of moods. The stairs were old and shaky and too much pressure on them and she was a goner but much better then having to face off a poisonous cannibalistic reptile. She stepped on the first step slowly balancing her weight evenly as the stair creaked echoing through out the building. The AiT didn't take her eyes off the lizard as she proceeded to the next as it watched most curiously waiting for her to make a mistep and fall to her doom.

A thought struck her, she was much lighter than the lizard monster and if it tried pursuing her onto the staircase, the platform would suddenly give falling away and with it the lizard. Perhaps that was why it dared not come closer but nevertheless, she kept aware of its positon as she proceeded deeper into the depths of the building seeking answers to questions about horrible deeds done so many years ago in this very facility. "Just a bit more, almost there." Soku could barely make out the shape of the lizard now as she descended and the light got dimmer, that would prove a issue if she couldn't see out here and the lightning didn't provide enough radiating light. The girl would have to be one with the darkness as she crept towards the bottom eyeing the surface for any trapdoors, pressure plates, anything at all. Labs like this were bound to have some sort of defense mechanism."Soon, father,
I shall learn all your secrets here in your own lab."

IT seemed that Soku was finding her way deeper inside of the labs it seemed that they were never ending they twisted and twirled and there was no clear direction the colours of the hallway gave nothing away as moss continued to grow on each of the walls and it broke into four tunnels that was the question that Soku would now have to answer herself. It seemed that there where flickers of light from each of the tunnels but the question is what one was the right one to pick, with no difference it seemed what light had been here originally had been gone for some time now and there was no sign that could easily be set back up, the darkness would have to be what allowed Soku to make her choice. Which right now was not going well, but each room would hold an answer in some form or another.

It seemed that the Lizard though was more content with letting her go down there, instead hissing at the site of her descending the steps it seemed that even this predator was not willing to go where the ANBU was going, was that a good or bad thing was yet to be seen. The Lizard seemed to let its talons creep around the door fame of the room that Soku was leaving it pulled them away leaving huge scratches in the surface of the rocks in those few seconds. It seemed that the Anbu in Trianing had managed to get away luckily from the beast that was hunting her, as it glanced down the path it had just come from it allowed itself to slink back down that way moving out of sigh from the descending female clear that it had given up on the hunt that it was undertaking.

Down each of the tunnels there would be a small room with an operating table, each one would hold journals and diaries of everything that had taken place there, though the real question was if there was anything left in those rooms that you would rather stay away from now that answer would be one that would soon become apparent though Soku would have to pick a way to walk first some could lead to traps others could lead to the answers that she was seeking from this place. The smells of burning flesh, blood and stale tools continued to swish around the air from each of the rooms, ti seemed that everything had been abandoned in a rush from this place.

Soku heard something heading towards her and with speed it would seem the noise echoed around each of the corridors as it closed in on her like some sort of pray that was moving, though what jumped out was nothing more than a small rat as it scurried along the passage it vanished in that split second. Though what would catch Soku’s eye was down the first tunnel a white robe whipped into the room with speed. Could someone be down here with her.

Safe from the hideous monster that roamed above prowling the hallways, Soku descended the staircase until coming to a halt before several tunnels, each of which veered off in a separate direction."Well, now what?"She asked herself noticing the faint glimmer of light coming from each passageway. The stench was overbearing but the girl had to tough it out, she couldn't give up, not now, not after coming this close. Each of the paths looked identical and based on this assumption, Soku was pretty sure whatever path she'd take, the contents she'd find inside would be the same in the other tunnelways. The girl could be mistaken as well and walking into a trap but one had to take risks."Well, no one said this was going to be easy. The young lady said talking to herself taking a step towards the middle pathway before instantly halting, her senses were alerted by something out of the ordinary.

There was a sound, a resounding echo that bounced all over the dim area and it was close, very close. Soku instantly went on alert her kunai sliding smoothly out of her pouch as she looked around for any impending danger. There was something, so quick but she caught it. A flash of white, a cloak whipping around the corner dashing down the first tunnelway deep into the darkness. "Playing cat
and mouse, are we?"
Soku didn't hesitate, using a Lightning Style technique to emit some bright electric rays to help her see, she dashed down the tunnel in hot pursuit. Was there someone here? This lab was supposed to be abandoned but it had been years, but the idea of anyone finding this ruined facility was next to impossible. Perhaps this curious individual was seeking something too just like her.

Something or someone was here, she was sure and Soku was going to find out what. It had been waiting and watching her it seemed and that creeper her out. She kept quiet keeping a open ear listening for anything as she advanced down the corridor, any noise that was unnatural. The girl reached the end of the hall and was presented with a small room with a operating bed and journals and books littered everywhere.
"Well, this is certainly new."The young ANBU added taking in the details. It smelled and reeked of death in here as she looked around the small space. These were all journals and books on various aspects of science procedures and chemical equations, stuff she knew nothing about. That mysterious individual had not revealed themselves and Soku was on edge, she wanted information but at the same time wanted to track down her mystery stalker who had seemingly disappeared into him air. The girl recalled the white cloak and first thought of the white cloaks the ANBU captains wore thinking perhaps it was an ally. That was impossible , why would they be trying to conceal themselves then. The girl pondered for a moment before nodding and glancing at the shadows that danced around the room."I know you're out there! Who are you and what do you want from me?"

It seemed like the game of cat and mouse was on, it seemed that the dance was taking place and Soku may be lead down a path that she simply could not recover from, it seemed that she was the player in a game right now but the question that had to be on her mind was who was in control of that game, that was something that needed to be answered and it seemed that the answer would not come quick enough from this. Lights begun to illuminate each of the hall ways as it seemed that this place was coming back to life slowly, it seemed that the presence was making it wake up from its dormant slumber in those few seconds.

Gears, cogs and machinery begun to wake up from its slumber in those few seconds the machinery roared into life as each of the rooms begun to move further away it seemed that the entire place was a shifting maze, it seemed that each time Soku took one step forward she took triple the amount backwards, it seemed that she was being toyed with, like food before the meal on a plate that she had no control over. This would be something that she had to adapt to and overcome, the real decision would be was it to late to recover from this, had she found any answers or only more questions about this place.

Down the corridors from each of the rooms stepped a figure in a white lab coat, each one different and unique each ones body looked disfigured and corrupted, veins that popped out form there skin as they stood there staring at Soku, she could not go back as the Lizard hunted the halls and it seemed that she was being blocked from going forward and now she had become surrounded, this situation was turning from bad to worse in those few seconds as she would have to decide what action she would take though it seemed the group now where happy to just surround her as one of the men stepped forward, face hidden from anyone and no reply being given. As he stood there he looked at Soku as if studying her like medical experiment from under neither the shadow of the hood came a twisted and sinister grin as he looked towards the girl that had come to look for answers.

“So, after all these years, you came back to this place, the place where one could say that you were created and that you begun your years, have you come back for answers, or have you come back so we can finish what we started all those years back. No-one would blame you for either answer though we would prefer to have one now, instead of us trying to come and find you”

The man stood there in the light waiting to see the answer that would come from the girl, it seemed she would have to give one as the group waited.

The facility rumbled to life as gears groaned and wheels began to turn. She instantly knew she had walked into a trap. Several figures appeared, all wearing the exact same white cloak as they surrounded her cutting off any escape. Soku was like a prey trapped in a corner by the hunter. The hunter had become the hunted. The girl gave them all a cold stare as they approached and what seemed to be the leader of this pack of goons stepped forward talking to her like they were old friends or something. "I care nothing for your ambitions, stranger. I come here to seek information about my father's work here and from the looks of it, you semi to hold a lot of knowledge. Care to share some of it? Also, one more thing, just who the hell are you? You act like you know me yet I don't remember you or your pack of wolves here."She added motioned to the other men.

The girl was tense inside, they outnumbered her by a lot and she had no escape. Soku wasn't willing to get a reunion with her lizard friend, although facing off against these guys wasn't exactly a great idea. Who knew what traps they had laid throughout the lab, they looked like they had been here a long time. She'd kill if she had to but only if they struck first. The tension was thick in the air as they eyed her like hungry lions about to feast on its victim."Let's even the odds, shall we. This isn't exactly a fair fight ."Weaving some signs, a Elemental Clone appeared next to Soku awaiting it's directions.

"We don't have to do this, all I require is information. Name your price."She said challenging the group. Soku of course would not resort to bribery for her goal, she would not stop that low and humiliate herself before this goon. Giving her finger a slight twitch, a long blade appeared in her hand buzzing with the hum of electricty as lightning coursed through the steel blade."Of course,
the other option is trial by combat."
Soku knew she wasn't going to get to leave scot-free even if she did obtain the necessary paperwork . It was best to resolve this here and now.

The men formed a tight circle pressing her clone and the original self back. The young ANBU nodded to the duplicate and together, they sent out a blast of lighting rays at the group forcing the disfigured monsters to back up a bit."I would choose your next steps very carefully."Soku said as the circle of death began to enclose them again.

It seemed that Soku would be trying to intimidate those that were around her, though she failed to realise that they knew much more about her than she knew about them. It was clear of this much as they each stood there unfazed by her actions and not really taking much notice about all the effort and work she was putting it. It seemed that they still had more to discuss with her and that they did not plan on letting her leave any time soon, this was becoming clearer each second that she stayed inside of this dingy light corridor. Trapped in her own making and undone by the search that she was trying to accomplish, but her questions echoed and resonated down each of the corridors and still stood, she wanted to bargain information, but would she be willing to pay the price, would that price be to high for even her.

“So, you offer an exchange then that’s good, and why would you know us, we have never been seen by you. That much is obvious oh, but we have read, we have learned we have seen and we have sought the information out that has lead us to this place, you see we have read the books we have looked at what we have done, we have seen what was done here and we know everything that you have committed to. It seemed we know everything about you and you know nothing about us, but that is the way of books at the way of research.”

The man spoke as he allowed himself to bring a small book from outside of his pocket and hold it up, twisting it in the light so it caught the attention of Soku, it seemed that this was the final notes made about the things that had taken place down here, it could be all the notes for the size of the book at he held it there. He allowed himself to continue to hold it in his hands for those few seconds, checking each of the pages as he looked towards Soku it was clear that he was taunting her with all the information that he had. He glanced at the pages for a few seconds pondering how the best reply would be to the question that he asked it seemed that he was waiting to see what offer of trade Soku would have as each of the hooded people stood around looking and waiting there faces still hidden in the shadows and they were unable to be seen by anyone else but themselves. It seemed the leader was the group that was talking and each word he said was the law in the situation everyone around seemed to accept this without any confusion.

“So the real question we are finding ourselves asking, is how much do you want this information, what are you will to do to obtain it and what price will you pay for me to hand it over then?”

He flipped the pages of the book in a taunting manner as the goons formed a tight circle. The bastard was going to make her pay for some accursed book and that didn't sit well with her . Releasing her clone, Soku looked at the one in charge casually holding a bag that contained 250 yen."And how do I know I can trust you?"She said suspiciously glancing at each of the white cloaked men standing ding there motionless as a bat. The girl could try to fight him for it but she was only one and they were numerous. This wouldn't end well if she tried but Soku wanted to know more about this man's identity. If what he said was true then Soku had found what she was looking for except she was too little too late, now it was in the hands of some evil white cloaked monsters that loomed before her.

"How do I know you won't try to backstab me?"She said addressing the man already a bit suspicious about him. Things were tense and she eyed each of the males waiting for one of them to make any hint of aggression toward her so Soku could turn them into mincemeat. Several pairs of eyes followed her actual movements and ensured the ANBU remained where she was, exactly in the center of their little circle so they could entrap Soku and force all sorts of punishments on her.

The girl shook the coin bag enticingly to get him to consider her offer."What do you say.
If he took it, the girl wasn't fool enough to understand he'd simply let her be. That was laughable after waiting so long, one did not merely turn their back on these lab demons from hell. She eyed the scientist as he considered the offer, his greedful eyes focusing on the money pouch . Usually, Soku refrained from bribes but today, she'd make a exception. After sll, that book was important and she wouldn't let anything get in the way, not even scary looking scientists blocking their path.

They obviously knew her somehow which Soku was not surprised assuming that this used to be her father's workplace."How long have you you resided here?"The girl asked the leader of the group hoping to get some clarifying information or purpose about his identity but they seemed more worried about the yen bag then her questions at the moment, it seemed,

Soku was asking the questions but the real question was what did they want, though she wanted to know about trust the group could ask exactly the same of her, she had just come into there place of hiding and called them the untrustworthy people in all of this, that seemed like a strange answer to give someone even if it was the truth from her point of view. Though the man just smiled as he looked towards Soku it seemed that she finally came, and it was almost like she was expected to come to this place, expected to seek the answers that she was after and she was determined to get those answer. It seemed that she would be given the chance to prove herself for those few seconds.

“Then we will prove to you that we can be trusted, now take this to heart. I want to make you aware of a little something, that is simple it is the fact that you can have this book, simple you get to read threw everything that happens, decided if you like what you see Soku, if you are happy knowing all that there is to know, and wanted to know all of this information then once you have decided simply come back here for the answers that you want to have with this conversation.”

It seemed that the man was trying to be fair with the girl, though how much of this she was willing to accept and how much of the information she would be taking in was a completely different matter, it seemed that no matter what they said or did it was only with actions that they would be proving themselves, this much was clear to both of them in those few seconds of interaction. The man allowed himself to place the back of the book on the floor and slid it across to Soku, the book skidding to a halt right in front of her own feet. It seemed that the book was right there, all she would have to do was lean down and pick it up. All the information all of the knowledge that she wanted was at her finger tips but the question she had to ask herself was how much she would pay for this knowledge.

“No catch, no trap just take the book, you came this far you might as well come away from this with what you wanted, and this way you are able to understand what we are talking about, but the price to pay for the book is we will meet again and you will pay up for the information in any form we need, think about it considered it if you do not want to take this option then leave. You do not have to stay here for this at all.”

Before Soku could even speak they were gone, vanished down trap doors, passages that could not be seen but all leaving Soku in the same situation, she was left there to stand on her own and ponder what all of this meant, it was clear that she had a lot of thinking ahead of her. She had come here for information, that request had been granted, but now what would she do with that information was the final question.

The book slid to her coming to a dead stop at her feet. She eyed it warily as she picked it up tucking it under her arm watching the white cloaked strangers fade away into the depths of the tunnel. Soku would explore no further, she had come for exactly this thing and now her misson here was done."Thank you."She said speaking aloud in the hope maybe that they heard her. Now to get out of this damn place, she glanced back the way she had come and where the lizard lurked. There was no alternate route and so resigning herself, she retraced her steps coming to the foot of the spiral staircase and looked up. The black demon was there sitting flicking its tongue out at her invintingly. It had sensed her scent long ago and placed itself directly in her path. Monster it may be but could it tell the difference between two Sokus?"Elemental Clone Jutsu!" There was a crackling of lightning and a second Soku zapped into existence which rushed at the monster who surprised the clone would do such a thing swatted at it unable to tell it apart. It vanished leaving behind a poof of smoke and the lizard stood there confused, confusion turning to rage as he realized he had been had. He turned to face Soku growling loud and angrily."HISSSSSS"only to realize she wasnt there anymore. Using the clone as a distraction, she had snuck past him and out of the establishment. He let out another angry hiss and charged down the staircase in a blind rage which crumbled under his weight collasping taking the beast into the depths of darkness that awaited below.

Soku finished setting the last of the paper bombs around the area. She was going to make sure no evil ever spread from this area ever again and no one could use this lab for sinister purposes like her father had."Activate."There was a bang and the ground shook as the building vanished sinking to the ground, now a pile of rubble. Soku stared as the smoke cleared, nothing was left, nothing. All those test tubes, lab reports, documents, all gone and she was fine with that. Gripping the book tight, she began the trek back to the village humming a tune as the girl proceeded down the hill away from the darkness. Flipping the pages with a hand, she read on and on and on. This would prove most useful in the days to come, Soku thought."This will be interesting to see how it plays out."

Soku still wondered about the men shed had met. At, first it seemed like they had wanted to hurt her and then, out of nowhere without even moving a inch, they had of their own accord handed over the book and vanished. Was this a test of some sort, perhaps to see what she would do with it? Perhaps they were watching from the shadows as Soku lived on watching, fighting, living and loving. The Leaf popped into existence over a small hill after a short 3 hour trek."Ah, home."Soku llet out a tired sigh nodding to the guards who let her in as the kunochi walked to her residence, the book stuffed concealed in her attire. Arriving home, the girl placed the book underneath a loose floorboard. No one would know any better and when the time came, she would know exactly where to go and what to do. As for now, she needed rest and recuperation even though it was only the middle of the day. Sleep sounded like a good option right about now. She was sure no one would mind if she was a tiny bit late for their training session.
