Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Onamuji stood, casually watching the front door of a hovel with interest. Naturally, his expression didn't show any interest, but that was one of his quirks. Occasionally, he'd get visibly excited over small things, when sometimes, something that demanded his attention would be approached with what looked like disinterest, even if he was honestly intrigued. This was obviously the latter. After all, there was a lot to excited about. This "New Dawn" sect of shinobi was plotting to assassinate the Steward. They had zero chance, and it was common sense that they would fail, yet they really were gathering for the attempt. Their suicide mission made Muji all the more curious as to why they would be so ballsy. A bunch of Chuunin-level morons would be crushed before they got within ten paces of the Steward...

Now, the immediate question was: how would he make his entrance? The wise choice would be to infiltrate from the shadows. Literally. As in, use his affinity with Shadow to merge with the shadows and enter the building, hidden and quiet. Or, also wise, he could create a distraction at the opposite end and enter from the front, taking them out while they were unprepared. That sounded fun, even if not the most efficient method. Oh...how would he have his fun?

As a group, they were a threat. Not a dire one, but a threat nonetheless. Take away any organization or composure and they were ripe for the picking. Infiltration gave him the element of surprise, and he estimated he could kill handful of them within moments. Alternately, if he made a distraction, he'd get the same aspect of surprise, but they wouldn't be off their guard. They'd be alert and likely battle-ready. He'd kill a handful, still, but the remainder would be ready to react. Hmph. But how many were there?

With a sigh, Muji walked to the front door, kicking it in. The men and women within darted their eyes at him, staring in shock.

"So, fifteen of you?" he asked rhetorically, crossing his arms, "Hm...not a bad number. Not enough to take on the Steward, by far. Even one of his guards would likely kill you all in time. Why would you even think to make an attempt?"

Most gritted their teeth and some rose from their crouching positions on the ground. Some looked to one another, expecting someone to have a plan or show of command.

"I guess it makes no difference. I was going to surprise you, you know," the auburn-haired shinobi admitted with a shy grin, "At first, I thought about coming in with the shadows. You wouldn't have seen me coming. Then, I thought about having the 'other me' knock in the back door. Still...I'd have the element of surprise. At last, I decided that there wasn't any fun in either. You guys are vastly unprepared for this. The least I could do to balance the scales a little was come in the front door and say hello."

A few of the shinobi began forming handseals, but Muji held out his hands, beginning a vacuum that began draining the chakra from those within the room. After a few moments, one was brave enough to rush forward with a knife. The Rikudo Sennin was able to dodge the man's fluid motion of slashes and jabs easily enough, but it was an annoyance he wasn't interested in dealing with. In an instant, a jet black blade emerged from his sleeve and was plunged into the man's frame. Normally, the blade was meant more for chakra absorption, but it was a blade nonetheless - as the conspirator soon discovered.

With a sigh, he raised one hand and performed some handseals. With a wave of his hand, flame jetted out in the form of a multiple-headed hydra [Flame Dragon Hydra Bomb], each of the three fireborne heads crashing into an opponent and dropping them to the ground. With his other hand, he performed another set. The room darkened, and shadows began to collect above three more of the conspirators. In a flash, the shadows shot down in spires, killing their unwitting targets.

Despite his uninterested demeanor, he was terrifying to the lower-level shinobi. They could feel their chakra diminishing by the second, while the black-robed sage seemed only to grow stronger.

A few of the remaining eight chose to flee to the back door, but as a hand was laid upon the handle and their bodies pressed in a panic against the door, it was carved in three by two blades made of bone. Two of the three fleeing conspirators were nearly carved from shoulder to navel, collapsing as soon as the blades were pulled away. The remaining survivor was given a hefty boot to the chest, sending him flying back with the rest of the group.

The ensuing skirmish didn't last long. Between Muji's ninjutsu and his Kaguya path's taijutsu, it was quick work. Every conspirator present was destroyed, and the threat was averted. Messy, unfortunately, but it would hopefully serve as a warning to any who felt so reckless...
