Is this guy from the Hidden Leaf, just like I am?.. Aomaki wondered to himself as he listened to banter regarding the two men. He wore his usual, plain and mostly tattered old ninja clothes at the moment, as well as his signature smile, the "I-want-to-help-the-world-keep-goin'-'round". He hadn't really a mind to change one or the other, but it seemed that fate's hand had pushed prudence over the cliff to fall upon him and force him to do it...that was, get a new set of clothing. He would probably just patch up his old clothing, though. He didn't like change as much as he pushed it out on everyone else. He sighed, ungracefully.
Good Gods, what is with this eyeballing.. He had noticed the peering and examining of the other man upon himself. He felt...sorrowful for having to be judged at such an important time in his common-life, whence he wore broken linens and truly needed both a wash and a change. He hadn't really expected either things to creep up so silently on him and force him to do things he didn't wish, which was because he was lazy and just liked stuffing his cake full of those delicious cakes that filled these lands.. Oh yes, many cakes.. Apple cake, peach cake, carrot cake, pineapple cake.. Oooh.. Pineapple cake.. The Steward's father's wife's pineapple cake was extraordinary! The best cake in the lands, Ao had said to her himself.
Clearly, he was heavily salivating. He stared at the space in the middle between the two men that spoke to each other, his expression and outlook blank and illusively filled with that woman's cake. Well, he didn't stay still for long, because his name came up. Whoa, people are talking about me, directly? How is it I am known? He thought to himself, feeling strange. Oh, wait.. That guy said Kazekage.. I keep forgetting various people might know me without me knowing them by their faces as they do by my description.. So, this is the legendary Sousuke? I want to see his "experimental weapon" his father rambled on about to me, and how he can butt people in the head with it.. Aomaki duly noted some things and then got some ideas.
Well, at least the man said he could aid my query. Aomaki had finished thinking too hard and returned his view to both Zenichi and Sousuke at the same time, as he kept darting his eyes back and forth between the two now. "Thank you Ser, and it's an honor meet you, such as it was to meet your parents." Aomaki flashed a quick grin and had stated in a clearly emulated accent of some of the people here, trying to fit in to make the other guy stop eyeballing him so much. Oh yes, he knew what was going on. The conversation those two men had had had given him the context needed for actions done. Foreigners didn't expect other foreigners, this much Aomaki knew. Foreigners don't really expect compatriots in disguise, either.. Aomaki just gave himself the one-up if he needed it.
Aomaki straightened himself, and put his hands behind his back, fists curled, as he tried to look as regal as possible, even though he was in rubbish peasant attire. He tongued the inside of his cheeks as he rolled his eyes around in thought. "It is also an honor to meet you, Friend from Leaf, or at least, that is where I assume you hail from. Please correct me if I am mistaken." Aomaki stated again in the same intonation as before. He also suspected the man from Leaf because of his.. Somewhat.. Dialectal?.. Accent, and as well as Sousuke's speaking of the Leaf's Senju. If he were from Mist, obviously he would have spoken about the Mist, or if he were from Stone, he would have spoken about either both other places or just about the far-away past of some other, more truly older villages. He could have also spoken about smaller villages, but Aomaki knew not many people from somewhere like Amegakure would be in such a harsh place like Wind Country right now.
Aomaki liked gambling. Aomaki was putting his powers of observation and memory to the test. I roamed Fire Country for 8 years.. I really have gotten around.. Aomaki thought to himself. ... Aomaki gave a slight moan, and began speaking in his normal, Leaf accent. He couldn't hold up his stupid lie, and began speaking to Zenichi. "Hehe, I was just kidding before with my accent. I'm actually from Leaf, and your face is familiar to me. I think I've seen you before from somewhere. Maybe from some registry of nin of some sort. It's truly been a long time since I have seen a man from the Leaf.. Or Fire. Tell me, kinsman, when did you leave our lands? May I ask in what level of disrepair was it when you left? I am very interested. Truly, may Azura's merciful lights embrace you fully for any cooperation." Aomaki greeted and pleaded the man, knowing the masses that escaped obviously had to go somewhere, and some just seemed to come straight into his lap. Such a funny coincidence.
Now, before I forget.. Aomaki thought, and then looked to Sousuke and spoke again. "Ser, I have a frightfully reproachful topic to ask you about. If I vowed and swore my undying, devoted loyalty to Sand and its people, would you, in turn, dub me one of your religious retainers, and may I also hold the honor of being tutored in the ways of the Scythe by your Gypsy-dancers, as well as tutored in the ways of Health and Medical Arts by your Medic-Doctors, so that I may become a retainer of both other such latter things as well, please? This is, of course, if your people are willing to have me. I know I'm not the most charming or charismatic character around, but I do try my hardest, you see. I have the burning passion and extendable will to do as I look forward and set forth to do, whatever it may be, such as slaying the troll under the bridge, or even picking flowers for senile seniors. I don't like backing down from a challenge or what I intend to create, make and fly. I do, however, understand the severity of my incompetency or the consequences of my actions, if either such things come, of which I hope they do not, for I have not had too much shame done upon me, requiring just.." He stopped and paused, looking down as he put his hand on his visible belly and rubbed the warmly and lightly furred skin on it. With a quick flick of his finger, he nicked his stomach to bleed slightly, but it would soon heal. "..Well, just my own Seppuku yet. I tried once, when I felt disgraced, but they didn't want me spilling so much of my blood on their oh-so beautiful road of theirs.. I say they were either atheists that don't believe that I live forever through infinite reincarnations given to me by my Merciful Goddess Azura and all the other Gods, or they just didn't want to do the work of laying to rest the body of a restored and honorable man to the ground or wind, or even just that they didn't want to do the paperwork for my obituary. Feh, whatever they want is what I shall have of it, though, for I must work for the honorable People of these great lands. Anyway, I also covet the position of religious retainer because I wish to spread the glory of my pantheon with the rest of the world in any way I can, even though I know I shall be rebuked and scorned for it by some. Anyway, again, if not here, we could talk about it at that dinner-date of boardgames your father had planned for us. Oh yes, I do look forward to that. Never have I played such things as Cluedo before. They sound like entertaining, rigorous mind-exercises to me. Just what I'd need right now, I say. ... Does.. Does Sand have a Daimyo to represent them?.. ... Wow, I am just one tough son of a bitch, aren't I? Springing up all this on you in a tailor shop, trying to pledge my life to a King whilst I am in what can be considered a potato sack.. I guess I don't really feel remorse for it right now, though. Would you have me, Ser?"
[Yo, sorry for the small wait, my laptop's new power cord just came in because the old one was burnt out and now I finally have an entirely free ability to post. Plus I was foodpoisoned and had a cut that was bleeding everywhere. Please forgive me. Please PM me with any questions, if need-be.]
