The Diamond Ocean stretched endlessly before Kazan, its shimmering dunes of sand shifting like waves beneath the relentless sun. He had heard of the desert within this country, but this place was nothing like he had ever imagined. As the Winds howled across the land, he held tightly onto his hood to keep the hellacious sun from bearing down upon his face. With each step he took, he left footprints, or tracks, on the glittering ground behind him, that quickly filled and covered themselves by the ever moving currents of wind and sand. To him, this place was astonishing; nothing back home could even compare to a terrain such as this. Surely, the inhabitants of this land were a tough and ridged bunch.

With him, he held enough supplies to last till months end, so for the first few days, Kazan chose to roam these lands, test the survival skills he had developed, and familiarize himself with the country. While this sort of behavior was natural to him, he did feel some sort unspoken pull drawing him to go further and deeper into the region. Perhaps this was another one of those fateful events that would shape his life? As he continued forth, it became rather apparent to him that the beauty of the desert was undeniable, but it was also deceptive; its allure masked the lurking dangers beneath and above. His days were filled with harsh sunlight, while the nights were as cold challenging as just about any other place he had been.

One night already, his camp was trespassed upon and he was forced into action. One night he had to fight off some strange creatures that seemed to come out of nowhere, and disappeared just as quickly as they came. On other nights, or most nights to be exact, something beneath the sands continually set off his Ryu no Hono: Yasei no Kokyo - Third Variant; Dragons Shelter alert system. He thought perhaps it might be a creature of myth or legends stalking him throughout the sands for one reason or another, but at the very least it kept costing him a good nights rest.

Yet, none of this could deter him or hinder his pilgrimage. Today, before him was an all to familiar view; a mountain range. "The closest thing to home I've seen in a while." He spoke softly, as he continued his journey. As a few hours passed, he finally approached what he considered the beginning of the mountain range however he saw no clear path in sight. He wanted to climb this mountain range, and see what the land truly looked like from above. Without a clear path, the only thing he could do was climb. As he began his ascension up the side of some jagged cliffs, the sharp edges of the crystallized sand began to slowly cut deep passed his calloused hands, but he pressed on still. With each passing minute or hour, the view became more and more breathtaking the higher he climbed.

He had seen the northern ocean shorelines plenty of times back home, but never could he have imagined such a vast ocean being replaced by sand. Now, he could easily do so after seeing such a sight as this. When he finally reached the peak of this specific mountain within the range, he approached the edge stood right at it, feeling the crisp desert winds bite against his skin. For the first time since he had been here, he let his hood down as to not obscure any of his view. His Scarlet eyes lit up at the sight of the wind country before him, while his fiery red hair blew in the wind. Kazan's beard hard grown slightly out of control during his journey so far.

Looking down at his hands briefly, he focused his chakra and watched his wounds begin to heal. That is when something caught his attention that he hadn't even considered; the area was full of natural energy. It reminded him of the heartland, and his friend Atlas and new ally Ryntharok. During his pilgrimage, he hadn't once called upon either of them, though he had kept up his training and continued to improve his use and control over his sage mode. Slowly, but surely, he becoming more refined and complete. "Maybe if I meditate here I could learn a thing or two." He thought, as he turned around and look upon the peak. It was flat and large enough to turn into a camp for the night, or maybe even a few nights at that. "If I stay here, whatever was setting off my dragons shelter probably wouldn't be able to bother me." He thought, as he flipped his bag off his shoulder and to the group below him.

Pulling out a scroll, he laid it out, formed hand seals, and summoned his gear. Amongst his gear was everything he could possibly need; a few changes a clothes, a tent, sleeping bags, plenty of wood, cooking equipment, his supply of water, and his supply of food. From there, he quickly began setting up stuff and settling in before the sun could begin it's journey across the sky and out of the horizon. Once that was done, he removed his shroud, and began to strip down to just his pants and underwear. Kazan needed to feel the mountain beneath his bare feet, and the strong winds across his body if he were to attempt to tap into the landscapes natural energy. Once he set up his campfire, and set fire to it, he sat down beside it just a couple of feet away.

Crossing his legs, and placing his arms onto his knees, he closed his eyes and cleared his mind right as the set. Immediately, he was met with a huge surge of energy threw off his concentration. Catching himself, he leaned back and looked to the sky. The glassy sand beneath the mountain tops began to cast various purple hues all across the mountain range. His eyes widened in acknowledgement, as he was left astounded at the sight. "This view alone was worth the trip." He thought, as he sat in silence just admiring the view. Once the array of colors began to dissipate, he went right back to what he was doing to begin with. Leaning forward once again, he closed his eyes, cleared his mind, and began to focus on the natural energy around him. This time, he was prepared and would slowly begin to allow the natural energy to pass through him while he meditated.

This would go on for a couple of hours, as he remained motionless and concentrated. That was, until fate decided to rear it's head once again. "Baaaaaaaaaa!" Would be the one sound used to completely throw Kazan's concentration out the window. As he heard it, his instinctively reacted by opening his eyes and turning his head in it's direction. Realizing it was a random goat, on a mountain in the desert, Kazan let loose a slight chuckle. "What are you doing out here little fella?" He asked jokingly, as he got to his feet and began to brush the sand and dust off the back of his pants. "If that's all it took to break your concentration, you'll never master that ability." The goat would reply, clearly speaking to him. A puzzled and shocked look would come across Kazan's face, as his memory would immediately kick in. Thoughts the the Lions, The Slugs, and The Snakes would sink in.

This area was smothered with Natural energy, so it made sense. Kazan had probably trespassed into a mythical creatures domain. "Are you like my friends Atlas and Ryntharok, or have you just been blessed with the gift of tongue?" He immediately asked in an attempt to draw a connection between them. There was another named slimes, but that creature was someone who he really hadn't even formed a bond with. "BAAAAAAAA!!!!" The Creature would shriek towards him, startling him. "Atlas is a dear friend, but who told you to stop meditating! Sit back down!" The goat yelled, as it approached Kazan. Confused, Kazan backed up a little before sitting back down in the position he was once in. "Uhhhh.... I did not mean to trespass on your domain...." He said, trying to feel out the situation. "Shhhhh! Just be quiet and focus your mind! Don't worry about trivial things. If Atlas is your friend, it's for good reason. Let me help guide you." Said the goat, as it sat down in front of Kazan.

Choosing to trust this goat, Kazan nodded and did as he said. Once again, he cleared his mind and began to absorb some of the natural energy. "Good.... now steady your breathing! Deep breathes!" The goat shouted, as Kazan began to slowly, but deeply, inhale. A moment would pass as the goat closed its eyes and began to 'meditate' along side him. "I see... so Ryntharok... and Atlas must of finally met..... your attuned to both of them." The goat would speak, softly. "But the feline sage technique.... is.... difficult for you... but the snake sage technique... you've made great progress with it... but natural energy leaks out of you like a flowing river...." The goat would say, as it noticed Natural energy steadily flowing into Kazan, while simultaneously escaping out through his aura. The entire time, Kazan stayed silent and tried to not let the goats words affect his focus.

"BAAAAAA!" He shouted, as it jumped to it's feet and stomped at the ground before Kazan in an attempt to startle him. Without even a subtle flinch, Kazan's focus stayed. "Good! Good! Now, trap that energy within yourself! Imagine the energy as a liquid and your body as a container! Seal it within!" He shouted at Kazan, as those words bounced inside his head. With another deep breath, black markings began to form across Kazan's face as his body seemed to grow lighter but much stronger. "YES! That's it! To your feet boy!" The Goat Shouted, as it slowly backed away. It immediately took note of the blue dusty like aura emitting from Kazan.

As Kazan arose and opened his eyes, he raised his hands to look upon them. "Is this a full.... a full sage mode?" He asked, in excitement. "BAAAAA! Yes! That's is an actual sage mode." The goat replied, as Kazan smiled. "I've been trying to accomplish this for so long now. How can I repay you?" Asked Kazan, wondering what this goat might want in return. A brief silence would pass before the goat would reply. "Baaaaaaaaa! Don't get ahead of yourself. Your technique still needs a lot of work. If it were for the abundant amount of natural energy here, I doubt you would've obtained the form tonight. But you show great potential. Form a contract with me and let me help guide you. In return, you can help me and my friends when we're in need. My name is Skully." He said, as sealed began to form upon the ground between the two of them.

"Absolutely! My name is Akira Kazan. Guide me and I'll carry whatever burden you require." Said Kazan, as he dispelled his sage mode and focused chakra into the ground. Slamming his hand down upon the seal, he formed a contract.
