Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The kiss of dawn cast a minute level of lighting to pierce the veil of night that still reigned over the village. Moving ever slowly through the snow beneath this fainting shadow of night, a single being heavily cloaked with a large knapsack, a sole individual lurked closer to their goal. The seasonal change had a tight grip upon many provinces within lightning country yet none as rough as the weather over Kumogakure proven to be. The prime of the season had yet to begin and yet between the causeways twisting and curving through the mountain peaks, winds carrying freezing chills blew harshly. This was to explain why such a heavily cloaked individual would have been a typical encounter, however what made him further from the case would be the masked of his face. Walking up to a checkpoint to pass into Kumogakure, the individual would rummage through a satchel on his side, snow whipping against his face. Finding the item needing to be sought, the being would hold up a small booklet and wait for the proper officials to allow him conversation. Though he was sure that his approach would be met by the very man responsible for his departure so long ago...

Myoumi Akuhei
ANBU Captain - Raikage Guard

A call through his headset told him that Hosuto was nearing the gates. Akuhei had placed a request for alert should the boy be returning, in a way he was glad that he was returning now, Akira had been tested while the boy had been away, and his being in Kumogakure during those tests could only have caused Akuhei trouble.

Still, Akira didn't know he was being tested either. So life was good for the Bishamon High Priest.

Welcome back. Akuhei said to the youth. He was the youngest and lowest ranked shinobi in his very small squad of two. Though in truth Akuhei still considered Kushin a member, which would make three.

Your mission to the northern borderland? Did you get the message to them? It was a simple enough mission, deliver a letter from Akira to the northern most Daimyo.

The northern lands were different in many ways, the people more fierce than the rest of Lightning Country, and so there were frequent outbreaks of fighting. The Daimyo was whoever was in charge of the region at the time, and that could be someone different any day of the week. It made them hard to deal with, but the people of the north had learned not to try and stray into the more southern territories. Even during the civil war they dared not venture south. They were in an almost permanent state of civil war anyway.

Still the simple mission would have come with several barriers to cross most likely. It wasn't the kind of mission one would send an ANBU on, but the boy was a trainee, and so he would somewhat expect the mission in a way. Also it served to get rid of him for the period of time Akuhei had needed to be rid of him for.

"The mission was accomplished without arousing unwanted encounters for the most part. The region is going through one of it's many phases of unrest which unfortunately delayed my arrival time by two weeks. It was harder than I imagined to move through an area of unrest quietly and avoid engagements with misguided countrymen."

Hosuto calmly pocketed his passport booklet within a pocket on his coat, the young trainee pressing his fingertips against the outer rim of his white mask and removing it. As to be expected of the boy by Akuhei, even beneath his mask Hosuto's full appearance was shrouded. Not by mystery or something abnormal but due to the very clothing he wore, the large hood and high collar, which together with dark goggles gave a very small glimpse of what he looked like. It had been nearly a month since he had left the gates of the village on his mission and to return meant that he had to catch up on what had been going on while he was away.

"How has Lord Raikage been, hopefully the village has settled down in this last month and nothing has strained his Lord's leadership over the village."

To Akuhei he would have been used to the monotone of Hosuto's voice, the fact that the young trainee visibly and mentally held an almost holy reverence for Akira Saito. This was a truthful observation of Hosuto's character and a main reason why he had been assigned to the squad in the first place. He was a product of Saito's grace and kindness, a self-created drone of his will and policy that would follow his word regardless of reason and protect him regardless of cost.

Akuhei nodded before pulling out something. It was a parcel wrapped in cloth.

The Raikage has been fine. You know as well as I the kind of weight those shoulders can carry. He's as strong as ever and I think he's beginning to take the first steps which will set the tone of his leadership for the village.

Handing the parcel to the boy he turned and entered the village.

When unwrapped Hosuto would find a mask which matched the mask worn by Koumyou and Akuhei. It was a fairly plain ANBU mask, but with a number of teardrops placed under the left eye piece. The colour of them showed the rank of the user, while the number showed the unity of the squad.

There were now four, previously only three had been there, though Hosuto may not have known who the third was as he'd have only met Koumyou and Akuhei. Perhaps it was a fallen comrade... perhaps someone else. Akuhei's colour was red, his colour, his rank as Captain. Koumyou's were blue, he was skilled enough to be a captain but chose to remain a lieutenant. Hosuto's were black, a trainee, but he was now part of the squad, he was accepted by Akuhei... and in anyone's book that was a big first step.
