A new home, a new life [Requesting Entry]

Kenshin made his way out of the forest and finally saw a proper road! More than that, a gate! Finally, he had traversed Leaf and was here. He had gotten lost a few times and turned around once but after running across a Leaf shinobi, he finally found the way.

Approaching the gate, he would make sure to get his papers out. Transfer from Stone relocating to join the Leaf shinobi. Yep, a new start for this Jounin. Was he a little bitter? Sure but he was given a job and he had been trained to follow commands. The gold piercings in his face shone in the sunlight.

"Yuu Kenshin reporting." he would say to any guard he saw or to n oone since he knew the ANBU were always the sneaky sort.

 

[Megumi Tanigawa]

This was her first day starting her new side job as a gate attendant of the only legally allowed exit and entrance of her village. She was not about to let her friend down who got her the extra work and her village down by letting in anyone she did not deem worthy of entry. Most of the people that entered and existed were, other ninja who she hoped to one day be counted among. It was simple enough ask the reason why they are leaving, ask for their passport and check it to see if it matches with the owner. With merchant and others coming here for business or to work, she had to check their id and their visa to make sure they were valid. However this was a ninja village, there for a chakra test to see if they were not disguised was mandatory. Luckily she had tools available to her own abilities failed her.

The next individual to arrive at her station was a well built middle aged man, with a very disciplined tone. However she found it odd that he had pricings, it could be just he but she did not suspect someone of with such a demeanor to look like such a thug. Giving a small friendly smile as she held out her hand. " Welcome back, may I ask you reason for your return and your passport". Speaking with a polite and cute tone that she would usually reframe from doing, but guests and returning heroes get special treatment.

Kenshin handed his information over to the young shinobi. Should someone that young be defending the gate? There was an evil daimyo out there. However, he guessed everyone had to start somewhere.

"I am coming back to report in to my new supervisors and officially take up position here as Jounin and instructor at the academy." Kenshin stated as he passed over his passport. He wondered if she would be in one of his classes. If so, he hoped she was ready. His classes were known to be... strenuous.

 

[Megumi Tanigawa]

Nodding as he explained he reason for visiting. Megumi took his passport and examined it. Looking at his picture than back at the hard stone face that made him appear as some legendary Yakuza. Checking the water marks and the date as well as his age and birthplace. Being from the stone did not set off any bells as the leaf was mostly stone and leaf survivors. " Kenshin-san", Megumi would call his name as she handed his passport back to him. She would look at how he would respond to his name naturally.

"It's great to get someone as talented as the Yuu Kenshin of the Tricky Fists for a sensei. Would you like direction to the Hokage's Office or do you know the way"? Megumi will definitely make sure to get someone to keep tabs on him as he moves through the village, but for now she will do her best to make sure that she look for anything suspicious from the man in front of her.

Kenshin nodded at the honorific. Well trained. Courteous. He wondered who would be following him to make sure he was who he said he was.

"You are too kind. I am merely doing my duty as you are yours. If you are ever in need of training, you can find me at the academy. As for the escort, I think I can manage. It was hard to find this place but I have never been a traveler. I am far more at home in a city. If everything is in order, I would like to meet with the Hokage." Kenshin would say, short and to the point. Truth was he was exhausted and would probably sleep for a half a day before checking in. Getting completly lost in the forests around Leaf was not the best way to make an entrance.

 

[Megumi Tanigawa]

Nodding at the man she would be sure to take him up on his offer as her taijutsu was one of her weaker points, it would be help to learn from a master in the field to shore up her weaknesses. " Very well, but please be sure to report in to the office at once. I would not want any misunderstandings to happen and ruin your first impression for your new home".

As she would let the man pass she would make sure to notify the watch to keep tabs on the man, and she would call in to the Hokage's office to notified them of Kenshin's arrival.

Kenshin would nod. Gathering his papers he would double check everything was in order.


"I am glad this went smoothly. I hope to see you around then. Have a good day."
