Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
Minako knew what to do, she was going to target a white haired figure that she caught while she was scanning the battlefield. If she could take him out, even weaken him severely, then she will probably feel accomplished somewhat… Biting her lower lip, she looked around once more before she went into stealth once more. She didn’t know if anyone would spot her, but she didn’t care at this time, she was going to batter that white haired whatever it was.
Beginning to utilise her skills with Titania and Oberon, she started to speed herself up, focusing on speed rather than power, and then she began her attack towards that figure. Fortunately, it hit him! She felt rather good about that. She then prepared her next attack, which seemed to be inspired by the moon that would shine across the skies every night it would make an appearance to the shinobi. Her second attack hit, and it seemed to have affected them pretty badly too.
It seemed that she was going well, and now she had to think of her next course of action, considering she was now out of stealth again, she knew she could take this two ways from here, she could continue what she was doing and aim for someone else, or take a different tactic entirely, decisions decisions.
He watched them through hooded eyes. He could see that they were quickly realising that this situation was not going to end soon. Perhaps it would be too much to saw fear, but it wasn’t at all fear that he wanted to teach them. Rather, that in unknown, unexpected circumstances like this, they could harness a power they would never had thought or imagined. Even if it meant having to show them what the cruel world could become, Kiri knew this was the only way to drive a point into their memory.
A sudden slip into the shadows would have Kiri hidden. Even if Minako tried to do the same, he could still see her. And in that moment, Kiri was reminded by a reverberating echo in his soul that Hogosha wasn’t all too pleased with his passivity. But that was the point of this exercise. Restraint and harnessing the potential of the new. At least, Hogosha wasn’t as excited or unruly as his brother in the past. Sadly, his attempt against Minako would be a miss. Kiri somehow smiled, beaming with a strange pride. And in return, Hogosha would feel the same intensity from the woman. He, too, felt a strange pride. Perhaps it was because he knew how much this woman meant to Kiri.
Nevertheless, urgency was needed. There was no telling what could happen in the battlefield, and for that, Kiri wounded his cursed chakra around him before releasing it. Suddenly, it would spark as if to create a rift in space, just before a large black serpentine creature would emerge. It’s size was massive and its eyes glared at them with death.
Hogosha would feel the hurt from an offensive by both Minako and Ikko, and Kiri was thankful his ancestor was a little more accepting of this. If this was his brother, there would have been a few outbursts. Ah, but he haven’t been able to let his brother take a moment into the real world for a long time, especially when he was now in human form, or at least, when summoned.
The warriors from the part, donning their armours and senseless selves, would continue the attack towards Ikko, though it would be repelled by the formidable ice-wall. And the rain above them wasn’t helping it either. Soon enough, Kiri would put his attention back to Eishi, sending a massive blow of his chakra, capturing the boy in a vice grip of his mind, before his chakra would lift one of the wooden stands nearby and sent it whipping across the air, shooting like a projectile towards Eishi. The boy could incur massive damage, a few broken ribs if it hit true, but Kiri was careful not to truly impale him, or worse, pierce through and kill him.
I was hit harder then I could've ever imagined. If I had to represent it in words or try to quantify it. It felt like I lost about half of my overall health. I couldn't tell if he absolutely demolished me there or just got lucky. It didn't matter at this point, I was close to clocking out with that one hit. Thankfully, It hadn't been my head that got concaved or I would most definitely have died if not severely disabled from the trauma to the head.
I coughed out a mouthful of blood, thinking most of the ribs in my chest were done for. At least one was puncturing my lung if the pain was any indication. I could tell it was deep as I tried to take in a breath, I couldn't get more than a shallow gasp. Taking another spit, trying to clear my mouth of the metallic taste, but failing horribly. I was likely in shock at this point, but somehow I could still feel some strength left in me. Even if I couldn't get a full breath, I just had to deal if I wanted to get out of this alive.
I was laying on the ground, knowing full well that I had to get myself protected as soon as possible.

- Debilitate and Feint are for Ninjutsu Attacks. As you used Ice Prison as a barrier, it becomes a support.

There were a few things that Minako still needed to understand. She was that after thinking of tactics and going back into stealth, all her problems would be temporarily solved while she waited in the shadows. That was not to be the case however, as soon as Minako got herself ready to attack the assailant, she bit her lower lip. She was still unsure if what she was doing was right, considering she could make one mistake and she could possibly die. No, she didn’t want to die, she has already died once, and she only knew that due to the vision she saw in her past.
With all these worries bounding her, she was unable to concentrate, and with this, the assailant was able to take a blindshot at her. She was not going to lie, it absolutely pained her, and in reaction, she dropped out of stealth. She was all revealed now, and that was when she made her attacks without thinking. She missed however, and now she wasn’t sure what to do.
She had a funny feeling that she was going to go down for the count soon, she was in so much pain, and in even more pain the moment another attack aimed for her. She wanted to scream and cry… but instead, she decided against it… it could make the “guest” see this as a sign of weakness, and any sign of weakness could mean they could see it as only needing a few more hits on her.
The battlefield was growing dim for the three of them. Minako was severely weakened, Eishi seemed to be unconscious, and Ikko seemed to be getting weaker himself…
“We’re doomed… and outnumbered…” Minako grimaced as she looked all around, two of them and more of the enemy?? Clearly there was going to be a few issues. However, Minako immediately decided on her next course of action, and decided to act upon it...
I tried to protect myself, but before I could even get a wall erected in front of me I was very rudely interrupted. Being tossed around and dropped on my head soon after, didn't help much either. I was out of there like a flaming sack of shit on the underside of a boot. It was my guess that this was how I was going to die. At least I wasn't going to be conscious for it. This day had sucked for me, so at least it wasn't undeserved.
Kiri’s eyes sharpened the moment Eishi fell on the ground, out cold. It would seem as though he would have to keep a more rigorous training for his protege if there is anything he got from this exercise. Nevertheless, he appreciated the young shinobi’s efforts, though he would have done better had he and the other two had been more quick and serious about teamwork. Of course, if this was a coincidental scenario, people who were unfamiliar would not necessarily join forces even if there was a common enemy. But it was important for a shinobi to adapt and learn to read others’ actions in order to complement and help in the cause.
But that would have to wait. Kiri hears a faint voice in his head and he could almost sigh at the thought of it. Sparing a moment to glance, Kiri watches Hogosha disappear with a frown. The man was clearly not happy and already he could hear the lecture in his head, something about being too soft to kids. He clicked his tongue out of habit. Looks like he would have to settle for a meditation in his souls cape sooner than later. And perhaps that was a good reminder of how the current scenario needed to wrap up.
Despite all their efforts to try and win this battle, it was clear that it was a lost cause from the start. But he didn’t want them to feel that way, well, not from the get-go. Every battle would show one’s chance to improve, but no one will know if they weren’t willing to risk it. And so, whatever these kids would learn from this battle, Kiri hoped it would be an eye-opener so that they could quickly and further grow into what they want to be.
“Time’s almost up, huh?” he thought as he knew he can’t prolong the inevitable, especially when one is already down for the count. The sooner he can get them treated after this battle, the better. Otherwise, his plan may end up going south. As such, the rest of the warriors and the black serpentine would seemingly nod at his mental command and prepared to strike.
With the inevitable right at the corner, Kiri knew he doesn’t need to prolong the fight. The pitch-black serpentine was of the same mind, as with the rest of the resurrected warriors. At that, the hooded shinobi would raise his tachi for the first time and feel the energy in his arms. He had known ever since he had gotten this new power from Hogosha that he would almost have returned to his old ways, to the ways of the sword, but there was something more to it. Something more deadly and keen.
As such, he moved in lightning speed, freed from the clutches of gravity, and he swung Ookanehira with certainty. The tachi would glide with almost unequaled elegance along the air before striking with unfettered resolve. The first two would seem like the ideal start of something he had long not been able to do, but now that he was finding his means back into it, Kiri kept a good hold over his tachi as he would dance with the blade.
A final retort from ice shinobi would garner a smile from underneath his mask. Ikko was certainly someone whom Kiri would have to keep tabs on. But not to forget his love, Kiri would show her that his strength and resolve was as deadly as his love. And perhaps, if she knew who he really was, she might end up hating him for it. But that was simply who Kiri was. A loyal hound. And as much as he could be brutal, this was also to help open her eyes to the cruel world beyond their village gates.
The black serpent would roar at the wound it received, which only fuelled its might and let loose its flames around Ikko, overwhelming the lad. And as for Minako, the raised warriors would quickly find their mark. Lucky as she was, and perhaps Kiri was proud for her instinct, she eventually fell short. And before the next could swing their sword, Kiri quickly appeared by her side, catching her fallen form and raising his tachi to block the warrior’s weapon. In that instant, everything was still.
A glow of his chakra and the warriors and the serpent all vanished, leaving Kiri and the three kids all knocked out. He glanced down to Minako, sheathed his tachi and placed a hand on her forehead with an apologetic nod. Then, he would summon his slug ally, Eirin, the bubbly sea slug, who helped carry the three towards the infirmary of the clinic.
Seemingly expecting, the doctor from earlier had already prepared the beds and shook his head when Kiri and Eirin arrived with the three. Kiri got a bit of a scolding from the doctor before he took off his coat and mask. He would apply his healing jutsu over them, more so towards Eishi and Ikko who got quite the lasting blow. Then, he spent a moments seated by Minako’s side, worried.
But before they could even wake up, Kiri felt a familiar presence nearby. It would seem as though it was finally time. At that, he would leave a note for the three in the hands of the doctor before he left the infirmary.
I was surprised to find you three when I was only supposed to bring along Eishi. But as I learned from my friend who did it, that was a good fight. You three showed heart. Though you may have lost, you showed that you were all capable to a certain degree. My friend was able to test you. This is to say that you all should always be vigilant. He apologises and I made sure to treat your injuries. It might still hurt, but please take care. I’m sorry I would have been gone when you’ve read this. Something sudden has come to my attention. Please be careful on your way home.

Indeed, nothing went as well as expected for the young woman. Even as she applied her explosive jutsu with the correct hand seals and whatnot, nothing seemed to affect him all that much. However, he managed to hit her, and with the way her current state was, she was hit hard. It was over, she tried her hardest, and there was no need to try any harder than she already had, and when all them hits managed to just take too much out of her… she was starting to feel dizzy, like she was going to say goodbye to the world. She wasn’t going to give up just yet though, she still had a job to do and that was to kick the assailant’s butt.
Or not…
Her blue hues officially said goodbye to consciousness slowly. She was about to land onto the floor, but she felt an arm wrapping around her body, catching her as she fell. His smell felt familiar as she breathed peacefully. She wasn’t sure what to think now, she just wanted to be right by his side...
With nothing else interesting happening on Minako’s side, she woke up in what appeared to be a hospital or some other medical type of room, she doesn’t know if she was on drugs or anything, nor does she know where the exit was.
When she woke up, she felt severe aches and pains throughout her body, but she immediately assumed this was because she tired herself out. She knew she was lucky in some sense though, her body probably wasn’t as battered and bruised as the other two, as Eishi looked like he was literally impaled, while Ikko looks like he just took one hell of a beating. Minako sighed softly and groaned in pain as she sat up from the bed and shook her head.
“I am sorry I couldn’t protect you both…” Minako bit her lower lip before attention was brought to her in terms of a note… it was from Kiri…
Wait…
Kiri was here?!
She had to find him immediately…
But alas, she turned her head to both of the kids before asking if she can take the kids away… however, she was told that it would probably be best for her to go home instead. Despite wanting to be with the two of the battered young males, she decided to take the doctors orders and got up from the bed to walk home, despite feeling some aches and pains along the way.
Waking up was the last thing I had come to expect. I was sure I was going to die and come to accept it as I had lost my consciousness, barely able to breathe and in extreme agony. It confused me for a couple of seconds upon my awakening, but after thinking about for a moment, it becomes obvious that, of course, I wouldn't have been killed. We had been in the middle of Kumo under the order of the man known as Kiri. I recalled my earlier thought of this being a setup by the man. I questioned why the hell this stranger named Kiri would do something so sinister to me, but before I was even able to really think it over, I had already noticed a small note in my hand.
I read it over a couple times trying to focus my eyes enough to get a grasp of the writing. After reading it the second time, I crumpled the note into a ball and threw it into the trash. It had been a request from Kiri to talk to him about becoming a mednin. I questioned where the hell that had come from, but the note also said he would explain himself when we met again. Whatever, hopefully, I wouldn't ever see the man again I thought to myself as I tested my recently healed body. I had been critically injured, but my current state wouldn't have seemed so. At least it seemed that the three of us were put back together fairly well. It didn't make up for the pain that we had inflicted on us, but it was something. At this point, I calked this whole day as being shit and I really just wanted to go home and crawl into my bed.
Getting up from my hospital bed, I took the time to stretch before walking out the front door. I was done with this bull.
