Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yugen had traveled far to get to where he was now. Both in a literal sense, and in a metaphorical one. A few months ago, the young man was the “Pet” of an evil Dark Sage who had experimented on Yugen for most of his life. Now he was free of his former Master, and far from his home. Yugen had no intention of looking back though, as there was nothing for him in the frozen ruins of Kirigakure besides the remains of his former Master and home.

Yugen wanted to start a new life, one with meaning, and one he chose for himself. He wanted to help people, and to make the world a better place. He wanted to grow stronger and learn how to best use the gift he had been given. Most of all, he wanted to meet people. All of his life Yugen had only truly interacted with his former Master, who wasn’t one for conversations. Yugen had enjoyed his travels so far for this specific reason. Every person he met was different from the last, and he was very excited to get into a larger city and meet its inhabitants.

Yugen arrived at the gates to Kumogakure and waited. He knew there was a process to getting inside the Hidden Villages that typically involved a gate guard’s vetting. Yugen was overwhelmed by a nervous energy while he waited. Would they let him in? A man with no paperwork, no real background to speak of? More importantly though, was whether or not Kumogakure would allow Yugen to stay and make a life there.

There was only one way to find out…

[OOC: Seriously looking to move this character into Cloud. If possible reach out to me via PM or Discord to talk about it. Thanks.]

Guard Duty. From sun up to sun down, guard duty was the most monotonous kind of job one could have in possibly all of Kumogakure. 89 percent of the time, you stared out into the abyss with nothing to do. Honestly, it was probably the safest position to have in the military statically speaking. But when shit got real? Yeah... that 11% was the reason why Oka Miri carried on in this position for as long as she had.

Pulling in a drag on her customized herbal cancer stick, she waited a good couple minutes to see what the new arrival would do. Kumogakure shinobi were experienced in the customs of passing with a passport, usually fiddling with a satchel or making handsigns to summon a passport. This guy, however, just walked up and stood there, waiting. Well... didn't this make him and interesting little package of 'why the hell are you here?'

Dressed in leathers, she jumped down from her post atop the gates. "Papers." she commanded stiffly. Her appearance screamed the 'and no funny business' that followed the spoken word, and her eyes ended it with the 'or else.' Taking a drag, she slipped the cig between two fingers, pausing long enough to enjoy the calming effect before blowing through her lips and sinking into a hip. With her other hand, she reached out expectantly, waiting for the man to give her what she asked for.

Yugen had read several books on the intricacies of human interaction. He knew that humans relied on both verbal and non-verbal communications, and of the two non-verbal was the key to a successful conversation. In fact, 55% of any message is conveyed through non-verbal elements, 38% through certain vocal elements, and a shocking 7% through words.

Yugen was carefully going over what he would say, and how he would say it, in preparation for when a Cloud shinobi approached him. He was expecting a young Jounin dressed in the traditional garb of a Cloud shinobi to come up to him with an inquisitive look on his or her face and a notepad in hand. Instead he was approached by a very intimidating, leather clad, cigarette smoking, Kunoichi who did not seem interested in conversation. She 'matter-of-factly' approached Yugen before saying "Papers.", and stuck out her hand to receive whatever "Papers" she was asking for.

"I, uh, assume you're talking about some sort of identification... Well I don't actually have any.... I mean, I do have papers... It's just that... Well they're forged, and I really want to start things off the right way, so...." Yugen was stuttering, his face also betrayed him by producing a nervous smile. It slowly began to don on him that his plan was ridiculous. Why would Kumogakure allow some random nobody into their village, nonetheless accept him as one of their own?

There was also the matter of his background. He had been created by his Master to be a weapon, and nothing else. The Dark Sage had preformed countless experiments on Yugen to shape him into a more formidable weapon to further his plans. What if Kumogakure wanted to preform their own tests on him? What if they found out the truth of Yugen's powers and decided that their village, country, or world was safer without a wildcard like him around? If Yugen was in their shoes, he would at least consider that as a viable option.

Yugen's facial expression sunk into a frown, and his shoulders dropped down into a shrug. This whole thing was stupid, he shouldn't be here. "I... I'm sorry, this is a mistake. I shouldn't be here... I'll... I'll just leave. Sorry to bother you..." Yugen began to turn his back on the Cloud Shinobi who had approached him.

All Yugen's life he had only known solitude, that's all he deserved. Why did he think that he could be a different person just because his Master was dead? After all, Yugen was simply a tool, he was never meant to have free-will.

There have been very very few people in the world who left Oka Miri completely speechless. Usually, in the career of being a shinobi, lies and secrets were traded like everyday currency. ‘Smooth talking 101’ was a first year course in the Academy. So when this wisp of a stranger openly told Miri that the papers he had were forged, her first instinct was to think he was lying.

Which was why she was startled when her mind fully processed exactly why the stranger wasn’t handing over his passport when she asked. “Are you fucking shitting me?” she said eyebrow raised, hip cocked. “You want to get on our good side by openly admitting to having forged papers?” Several more colorful words spilled from her lips before she pressed a button on her earpiece. “I need a member of leadership at the gates--Don’t. Move.” She ordered pointing a finger at the stranger before going back to her earpiece. “We have an unidentified individual looking to enter the village. Says his passport papers are a forgey.”

Miri’s increased irate nature tuned the other guards at the gate far sooner than her call for help. The moment the word ‘Don’t’ came across her lips, Yugen found himself surrounded by both masked and unmasked individuals. None showed open hostility, but that didn’t mean they all were ready to engage should the man become hostile. At least one of them had their trigger finger ready, prepared to die protecting their village should the moment arise.

“If you want to get on my good side,” Miri said, after confirming through her headset that a member of leadership was on their way. “You’ll hand over to me your false papers and start talking fast and before someone with the authority to plant your ass in the ground gets here. Who are you? Why exactly are you here? Where did you come from? And why are is your passport forged in the first place?”

[OOC: Calling the Raikage]

Yugen instantly realized that there was probably a better way to go about this situation, but he had already inserted his foot into his mouth and now had to live with the consequences. The gate guard did not appreciate Yugen's honesty as much as he had hoped. She ordered him to present his forged papers and give her information on where he came from, why he had forged papers, and why he was here. Before she finished listing off her requests Yugen was surrounded by a handful of other Cloud shinobi, presumably fellow gate guards, Yugen's Rinnegan allowed him to see the chakra and chakra paths of all of the shinobi in question. If this interaction turned violent there was practically no chance Yugen would get out of here alive. He was going to have to choose his words very carefully.

Yugen, very slowly, reached into a pouch that was located on the right side of his waist. He pulled out a stack of papers that were tied together, multiple forged passports for both Yugen and his former Master, and presented them to the shinobi that was directly in front of him.

"Oh, we're playing twenty questions now are we?" Yugen smiled, in a attempt to hide is his nervousness, "Well, contrary to what the documents that I handed your comrade here will tell you, my name is Yugen and I was born in the Hidden Mist, just before the cataclysm that left it a frozen wasteland."

Yugen considered his next words carefully, "As to why I have those forged documents and where I got them, I can only give you a partial answer. I was raised by a mad-man, who had delusions of grandeur and believed that he could take over the world. He kidnapped me from my mother when I was young, and proceeded to use me for numerous quasi-scientific 'tests' in hopes of turning me into a mindless weapon. He was ultimately unsuccessful in his ambitions, and is no longer a threat to me or anyone else... He is the reason I have these documents, you will see his forged documents included in that stack." Yugen motioned to the stack of papers he had handed to the Cloud shinobi.

"As for why I am here... Well, I have no home, no family, no purpose... I guess you could say that's what I'm looking for, and I was hoping to find at least one of those here." He shrugged as he spoke, "I understand you all have no reason to trust me, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to earn that trust and to earn a home where I am free to choose my own path." Yugen's nerves were on edge, but he did his best to remain calm. This situation was either going to end with him being allowed into Kumogakure alive, or in a body bag.

With some luck, when the call for the Raikage went out, Ayumu just so happened to be out of the tower and somewhat near the gates even. From what had been said, it seemed a shinobi had come to the gates with forged papers. Yet, this was not the usual case of attempted unlawful entry. No, the man had openly admitted to having the papers upfront rather than trying to use them to get in. He would have failed, of course, had he tried to use them but he hadn't tried. In fact, he had surrendered them to the responding gate guard. His original destination would have to wait, Ayumu was on his way to the gates now. He'd spent so much time at them lately, even he was starting to think it a bit strange. "I'm on my way. In the mean time, get me an audio feed. I want to hear what this guy has to say," Ayumu instructed the guard who had contacted him. A slight hiss occurred in the earpiece he was wearing and the audio switched over. A woman's voice came, obviously the guard, asking a number of very good questions. Ayumu would listen to the man's responses as he approached the gates from the inside.

He gave his name first and his origin, apparently different than the false information in the documents he had handed over. He hailed from the land of Water, the hidden village of Mist. Ayumu was well aware of the village and the fate it had suffered, frozen in ice and its people displaced. The mass migration of shinobi from Mist had been a trying time for Kumoagkure as well. Many immigrants from Water had showed up at Kumogakure's gates looking for sanctuary, shinobi included. Some of them were even counted among the ranks of Cloud now. However, the most infamous of them was the former Mizukage Hoshikata Isaki who had caused Kumogakure much grief. Brainwashing shinobi aside, he had ultimately participated in a plot with one of Kumogakure's own in which the former Raikage was assassinated. Needless to say, Ayumu's experience with former Mist shinobi was mixed at best. That said, despite feelings he had in the past about foreigners, his opinion had softened since personally observing former Mist and Leaf shinobi joining the ranks of Kumogakure and proving their worth.

Moving along, the man's brief explanation of his back story was worthy of sympathy if it was true, but far from unheard of. Shinobi's value as tools and weapons was well understood in the world. It was commonplace to see those who would forget or disregard the fact that they were human. From the sounds of it, the man might just be dead, which was all someone like that deserved in his book. The rest of what the man had to say was something Ayumu had heard before from other refugees from Mist. Many tried to go it alone after their home was taken away, but many more found themselves missing the feeling of having somewhere to belong. For some, it took longer to realize than others. Ayumu listened to the last of the words from where he had stopped at the top of the gates. Those present may or may not have noticed his arrival before he decided to drop down landing with a quiet thud behind Miri before walking forward to stand beside her. He was as usual dressed in something of a uniform, dark and well fitted, and accompanied by two swords at his hip.

"Somebody called for a Raikage?" Ayumu asked, rhetorically. His eyes settled on the mercenary, sizing him up as was habitual for him when meeting any new shinobi. "You must be Yugen. Good to make your acquaintance. My name's Ayumu," Ayumu addressed the man, quickly introducing himself. He pointed to his ear where the headset was now relaying his own words back to him. He reached up and took it off for the moment, dropping it into a belt pouch at his side. "Been listening in so I'd be up to speed when I got here. So, let's cut to the chase. What are you here for? You speak of earning a home- do you seek to join Kumogakure's ranks?" Ayumu asked bluntly. He preferred to have these things spoken in plain words so that there were no misunderstandings of intentions.

The arrival of the Raikage had an immediate effect on the Kumogakure shinobi that surrounded Yugen. Some stood up straighter, others tightened their stances, but all of them adjusted something while in the presence of their Kage. Yugen himself even stood up a little straighter, he supposed it had something to do with the respect a man like this garnered and that everyone in his presence recognized that on a sub-conscious level.

The Raikage indicated that he had been listening in on the conversation between Yugen and Kuniochi who had first approached Yugen at the gates, so he presumably knew everything Yugen had already relayed to her. The Kage introduced himself as Ayumu, to which Yugen gave a slight bow in respect. The Raikage did not waste any time getting to the point; asking Yugen if he was here in hopes of joining the ranks of Kumgakure. Normally Yugen would have liked to discuss this in more detail, but he understood that the Raikage was a very busy man. For this reason, Yugen figured that he would be as brief as possible with his answer in return.

“That’s pretty much the gist of it,” Yugen replied with a slight smile and a shrug of the shoulders, “I’ve done considerable research on all of the major Hidden Villages, and Kumogakure always stood out to me as one of the most impressive.” Yugen finished and looked around at the city before him. “It will be nice to integrate into society and have a purpose other than following the orders of an old kook. Plus, I believe these can be of use to you and the village itself.” Yugen motioned towards his Rinnegan. “Now, I don’t expect to just be allowed in and given free reign over Kumogakure, so if there is something that I need to do in order to earn your trust or prove myself somehow, please let me know so that I can get started as soon as possible.”

Things seemed to be going well for Yugen, much better than he had thought things would go upon his arrival at the gates. Nevertheless, this was just the beginning. It would take, more than likely, years before he was truly accepted in this new land. Even then, Yugen would always be a foreigner in the eyes of some, and while Yugen could never change that, as long as he had a place to call home none of that would matter.

MFT

Ayumu's suspicions were confirmed quickly by the mercenary who confirmed Ayumu more or less had a grasp of his intents. Apparently he had done research on the villages and found Kumogakure to be one of the most impressive. Whether or not he meant that or was just saying it to get on Ayumu's good side, Ayumu couldn't help but feel a bit of pride at the comment. Yugen was looking for a society to become a part of, a purpose for living, a place to call home. These were all very understandable. In the unfathomable circumstance that Kumogakure were to fall for any reason, Ayumu couldn't imagine what he would do but wandering aimlessly with no place to call home didn't seem like any way to live to him. Yugen had seemingly had his fill of it and figured that Kumogakure could use another shinobi as much as he could use a new home. He made mention of his eyes, which plain as day were the signature feature of a Rikudo Sennin. Perhaps the reason he had chosen Kumogakure was that he had heard the village was tolerant of Kinjutsu.

Of course, it wasn't as easy as simply having the man sign some contract and welcoming him on board. Ayumu hadn't detected any deception, but it didn't mean the man was being entirely truthful. The fact that he had offered up his forged passport rather than trying to use it said something, but so did the fact that he was in possession of one to begin with. Ayumu was quiet for a moment, scratching the back of his head as he thought. Cases like this were never easy. The village had protocols in place for a reason- to protect the people from potential outside threats. There were people that wanted to get into Kumogakure to do it harm. If everything the man said was true, he might not be a threat, but how could they know it wasn't a made up story?

"I do get where you're coming from, and the former people of Mist have my sympathies for what became of their home. That said, we don't just let anybody in here... especially to accept into our ranks. I don't have any way to know that you are who you say you are, even. You said you have no family, is there no one who can vouch for you at all? Anything you can offer to back up your story?" Ayumu asked, trying to find something to verify what he had been told. Who knew if the many had anything or anybody that could provide credence to his tale, or at the very least act as witness that he wasn't some enemy of Kumogakure trying to snake his way in?

It had never crossed Yugen's mind that the Riakage would ask the mercenary for references. Unfortunately, for both men, Yugen had no relationships with any Kumogakure shinobi save a young Chuunin he had met in the Tea Country. Even then, he had not spent much time in the bar with him as Yugen had already decided to take his leave of the Tea Country and make his way towards Kumogakure. Other than that, Yugen knew no one. Most of his life he had only been around his former master, and before that he was to young to have developed any real relationships. After his master died Yugen immediately left Water Country and traveled the world alone, first stopping in Moon Country and then making his way to Tea Country. He had traveled alone in an attempt to further his understanding of the rare powers he possesed without putting anyone at risk.

Yugen's hope of finding a home in the Hidden Cloud Village were beginning to wane, maybe his initial fears had been correct. Then he had an idea, maybe he did not have to become a Cloud shinobi today, this week, or even this month. If the Raikage needed evidence that Yugen had no ill intentions towards Kumogakure, then why couldn't Yugen prove that over time...

"I am afraid I have nothing. I haven't met too many people during my travels, and the ones I did meet were nothing more than acquaintances. I'm sure I could find some documents regarding my former master and myself in the small boat he built that I sailed here in, but I cannot guarantee anything."</COLOR><i></i> Yugen admitted in a defeated tone before continuing, "I understand your predicament, but maybe we could come up with another option. Maybe our best option would be for me to work with you and your people in a 'contracted' capacity. Give me some time to earn your trust as well as show you what I am made of by assisting your shinobi with missions, maybe even teach a class or two before deciding whether or not I am worthy of becoming a Cloud Shinobi."<COLOR color="#000080">

Yugen hoped that his plan was fair in the eyes of the Raikage, as the mercenary was running out of ideas.

Alas, asking the man to produce any character witnesses was as futile as Ayumu suspected it might be. It wasn't likely he knew anybody in Kumogakure so that would prove difficult. He had hoped the man might have some way to show that he had come from Mist in the past, but he was short on evidence of that as well. All the remained was for Ayumu to make a decision... whether the man could stay or not was up to him entirely. Yugen had a proposition of his own to make, however. He suggested that he might do some work for Kumogakure on a contract basis to prove his worth and trustworthiness. Allowing the man to join Kumogakure at this point in time was out of the question, to be sure. They knew nothing about him with any certainty other than what he claimed. That said, he hadn't said anything that sounded outlandish to Ayumu nor was he detecting any deception. He had forfeited his counterfeit papers without any attempts to use them for entry, which gave him some points. This was a tough call.

"Listen... I have every reason to turn you away right now. I don't know you from Adam and you can't provide any kind of identification or proof of who you are or where you come from. But... I haven't made up my mind yet. That said, we need to get a few things straight before I'll consider your proposal. If you're a wanted man, you need to tell me right now. It's not necessarily a deal breaker, depending, but if you're not upfront with me now and I find out later we will make it a point to hand deliver you to whoever it is that wants you," Ayumu responded, watching for any guilty looking reactions from Yugen. This was the first point of a few they'd need to go over. Hopefully Yugen would be fully cooperative if he wanted any chance to prove himself later.

A wave of relief swept over Yugen as he listened to the Raikage speak. Although he had made it clear that he would be unable to grant the mercenary full-blown citizenship at this time, he did seem interested in Yugen's proposition. The Raikage then went on to ask Yugen another question, this one pertained to whether or not the mercenary was currently wanted by anyone, village or otherwise. For what little of his past he could remember, Yugen had only known his master. He had never met any allies or other slaves despite his master claiming that there were others, and after his master’s ‘unfortunate’ passing, no one came looking for him. After Yugen left Water Country he had worried that the supposed associates of his former master my come looking for him, but it had been several months and Yugen had never felt like he was being watched or followed. Other than his master though, Yugen was fairly confident that no one else really knew about the mercenary’s existence so he was fairly confident in his answer to the Raikage.

” None that I am aware of; in truth my master was the only person that, to my knowledge, knew of my existence. As far as my master goes, well I never met any of his allies or other slaves even though he claimed to have both in every major village on the continent. In truth though, the more I learn about my former master the more I realize that he was completely full of shit. He claimed to have a large cult of followers in Moon Country, which I confirmed to be false during my visit there.”

Yugen had visited Moon in hopes of finding someone to help him better understand his powers. Instead he found nothing besides a city of people indifferent to his well-being. He spent several months there searching for answers and all he had found was an estranged hermit rambling about how his master would one day return to the land with six demons at his beck-and-call to overthrow the government. The old man possessed a curse seal that was similar to what Yugen’s master could create, but he had no way of knowing whether or not it was truly his former master’s handy work. Yugen had removed the old loon’s curse mark and sent him about his way with a small amount of yen before leaving the country himself. Yugen had set out, initially, to ensure that his master’s plans did not succeed, but that apparently wasn’t necessary. Yugen’s former master’s plans had fallen through all on their own.

MFT

If Yugen was really from the former village of Mist, there weren't going to be any Mist ANBU looking for him by any means. Still, that didn't mean he hadn't crossed somebody somewhere, and if he had broken the law anywhere it could bring drama to Kumogakure's gates that nobody wanted. That said, Yugen claimed that he was not on the run from anybody and in fact that the only one who even knew of his existence was his former master. Hopefully this was true, for his own sake. If not, things like that tended to catch up with you one way or another. Were he a rogue shinobi from another village, likely they would be on his trail eventually. Still, if the man was lying Ayumu couldn't tell.

"Alright. I'd better not see your face on any wanted posters. At any rate, understand that we've been burned by unknown shinobi in the past. One from Mist, especially so. There won't be trust overnight... not by a long shot. There's no guarantee you'll be allowed to join our ranks, but we'll see where it goes. In the meantime, there may be some jobs for you to undertake to help you prove yourself," Ayumu continued. This was what the man had asked for, so hopefully there wouldn't be any disappointment there. The next part was going to be the real test, however.

"One last thing. Since you are an outsider that we know very little about, your presence in the village will be monitored. You may be followed at times whether or not you notice. You may not like this next part, but it is non-negotiable as the village's safety is my priority: we will need a blood sample. This will enable our ANBU to track you if need be. If that's unacceptable to you, we have nothing more to talk about," Ayumu stated firmly. Perhaps the man would find these details unreasonable, but there were risks in allowing an unknown shinobi into the village and they needed to be mitigated. Were he to comply, the blood sample would be taken on the spot by an ANBU and Ayumu would test the tracking to ensure the sample was adequate. Once again, he waited to see how Yugen would react.

Yugen was relieved that his answer did not appear to raise any red flags for the Raikage, and that things were progressing to a conclusion in regards to the questioning.

The Raikage then inform Yugen that Kumogakure had been negatively affected by foreign shinobi in the past, and that the trust of the people and leadership of the Cloud village would take time to earn. Yugen had expected this, and was therefore not alarmed by the declaration. The Raikage went on to inform Yugen that he would be followed and otherwise supervised during his time in Kumogakure, at least until such a time that the leadership of the village believed it no longer necessary. This was a non-issue as well for Yugen, as he had fully expected something like this. The Raikage's last statement did come as a surprise to Yugen, a vial of his blood for tracking purposes. Typically this was reserved for ANBU or other high-tier shinobi, at least from what the mercenary had read. Ultimately, none of it mattered to Yugen, because he had already told himself that he would do whatever it took to earn himself a place to belong.

"Very well, I agree to your terms." Yugen replied unblinkingly, "I currently posses two other paths, will you need samples of blood from them as well?" If necessary, Yugen could summon the remaining two paths in an instant, and allow blood from them to be drawn by the Cloud shinobi that surrounded him. Yugen would then patiently await the Raikage's next request.

The man had no adverse reactions to being told the circumstances he'd be enduring inside the village. He seemed to feel he had nothing to hide, which was a good thing. Ayumu noted his readiness to comply with all demands, including those that caught him off guard like the need for a blood sample. Though the surprise did register on the man's face, he took little time to decide to go along with it. Additionally, he offered up his paths to provide blood samples as well. Ayumu hadn't gotten around to asking that yet, but it was on his mind and it was good the man was forthcoming about offering them up.

"Couldn't hurt. Bring them here for samples as well," Ayumu replied, giving the man time to summon his paths. Once he had, a man with a camera would step forward and inform Yugen that he needed to take a picture of each path. Given his agreement to have blood samples taken, Ayumu assumed a few pictures weren't a surprising request by comparison. "They'll be used for a temporary passport, so you have some identification while you're in here," Ayumu informed Yugen. He'd also be given a form to fill in with basic information, the type you'd find on an ID like name and age... there were additional fields for paths. Next, a man would approach and announce his attention to Yugen to take a small blood sample from each path one after the other assuming he was not resisted. He'd thank Yugen for his compliance once finished and step away, disappearing to the other side of the gates. In the meantime, Ayumu spoke with a few of the guards making a couple of arrangements while awaiting the process to finish.

There was a bit of a wait, fifteen minutes or so. Ayumu disappeared briefly and returned, holding a small booklet in his hand. He approached Yugen and held the booklet forth for the man to take. "This is your temporary passport. Basically, if for any reason you're asked for an ID while here you'll have something to produce that says you're allowed to be here. Additionally, you'll be able to pass through the gates with my permission without needing to have me called here every time to do this whole dance. It's not a full passport by any means, it'll only work for you here," Ayumu explained, giving Yugen time to flip through the booklet. He'd find the pictures of himself and his paths as well as the information he provided and a stamp of approval from the Raikage.

"There should be some work, some missions available to you. Don't expect too much, but you should have some opportunities to try to prove yourself. Like I said, it'll take time. At any rate, we're ready to let you in now," Ayumu said, making a motion towards the guards watching. The gates would begin to open as Ayumu continued. "Any questions?" Ayumu asked.

OoC: Given Yugen has been compliant thus far I assumed he would continue to comply with all of the above. If anything needs to be changed let me know, I just wanted to expedite the process to get this done.

The next twenty minutes or so were all business. The Raikage had confirmed to Yugen that he would need to have his other two paths submit blood samples as well, so Yugen summoned them. Yugen did so, and in an instant Kansou and Datsuzoku were standing beside him. A man equipped with a camera came before Yugen and snapped a quick picture while the Raikage informed Yugen that the picture would be used for a temporary passport while the mercenary was in Kumogakure. Yugen would need to keep this identification form on him at all times. Yugen was then handed a few forms to fill out while another man came another individual who proceeded to draw the blood samples from Yugen and his paths. After all of that was said and done the mercenary waited for a while while his temporary passport was finalized. The Raikage would then inform Yugen that he was free to begin seeking work, but to not expect to much at the beginning.

The Raikage then asked Yugen if he had any questions as the gates to Kumogakure opened before the two men.

"I do not, Lord Raikage. Thank you for this opportunity, I assure you that you will not regret this decision. Now, if you will excuse me, I haven't had lunch yet and I am quite hungry."

If the Raikage and the other gate guards permitted, Yugen would walk through the gates and enter the village.

With no resistance or interruptions, the proceedings went about smoothly. Blood samples were taken, pictures were snapped, and a temporary passport was generated and turned over to Yugen. It was a rare occurrence, something like this happening, but not the first time it had. Ayumu had decided to give Yugen the benefit of the doubt, something many people in the shinobi world were unlikely to do in his place. It was a chance to take, but Ayumu preferred to give chances when he could. He had taken numerous precautions and had faith in his village that if this was a mistake on his part it would be rectified easily enough. His hope, however, was that Yugen's intentions would turn out to be as noble as he claimed. With no further questions, the man was ready to enter the village. He'd need to find lodgings and food, no doubt. Hopefully he had the cash despite having come here looking for some work.

Ayumu raised a hand to give a signal to the guards to allow Yugen to enter. No need to check the passport- they had just made it for him, after all. "Alright then. Welcome to our village. I'm taking a chance on you... do be on your best behavior," Ayumu welcomed, but also cautioned the man. Yugen assured Ayumu he would not regret his decision- hopefully this was true. With Yugen allowed in and the time it had taken, Ayumu was a bit behind schedule now. He'd need to hurry up or he'd miss a meeting planned to start soon. Turning on a dime, he followed Yugen into the village and made his way back to the Torre Celeste.
