Tas had been lied to. Kuragari led him on for years, telling him that he could resurrect his mother when in fact it was all a ploy to unseal the temple of the gods. Inside that room, beyond the barrier enacted all that time ago is a broken alter spewing out godly power. Also, two skeletons. That's all assuming the rumors are true, and they are to at least some extent. When Chi found out what Kuragari's plan was it infuriated him. He went to the temple's barrier where his mother's body lay covered in flowers and decayed thanks to the unnatural power exerted across the barrier from inside the sealed room. When he got close his symbols that bore the markers for his souls he stole started to glow and burn. He stood up sharply and Kurogari arrived at Tas' side. "It would appear I was wrong." Kuragari said. "Wrong? You think? You said you could—" "Tasogare! This is greater than you or your mom! We need to open this barrier. "So can become a gooood?" Tas exaggerated, slumping over to make eye contact with Kuragari at the man's own height. "Just do the thing." Tas rolled his eyes but an idea came to his head. He smirked as he approached the seal that kept the barrier up. He looked it over countless times before then, and he had a good theory on how it worked. Kuragari gave Tas Nenogami's blood, which he had stolen from her at the time of her death. It was also glowing. In his rage, Tas broke the bottle and blood splattered all over him. It didn't stay, instead it moved along his skin and went to his forearm opposite the shield symbol and created a new, star-shaped symbol that began to glow as well. Tas was confused but Kuragari had a few ideas as to why this was. Unfortunately there's not enough time to get into that. Boo hoo. Tas's eyes glowed as well when he placed his hands on either side of the seal. They both glowed red despite one of them being black now. He let out a frustrated grunt as he pushed on the seal, inserting his chakra into it along with the souls he stole. One by one the symbols disappeared off his body along with the blood that stayed behind after burning the symbol into his arm. An explosion sent Tas flying back, knocking Kuragari down along the way. When Tas got up he saw that the barrier was gone, and smoke filled the surrounding area. All the plants covering his mother were dead or dying and her body slowly starting to decay. Tears began to flow but then the crazed man saw Kuragari get up and head inside the temple. Tas followed one step behind and once inside the two became the first to see the power of the gods since Tas' ancestors who sealed the room away. And, sure enough, skeletons. Tas resisted the urge to pick them up and play their ribs like a music instrument and instead a fight broke out between them. Members of the order began to flood the area now as the explosion brought most of them to the upper reaches of the sanctuary. When Kuragari's body came flying out of the glowing room they all scattered. Tas on the other hand looked into the light of the chakra flowing from the alter and was drawn to it. The man got close and stuck his hands into each light, one into the green and one into the red. Then the light covered his body on both sides, engulfing him in the power of the gods. He yelled out in pain and a few of the Tadashii walked in to see what was happening. Tas snapped. This was it, the big moment. The barrier was breached and everything Kuragari had been working towards led to Tas being the one to get the power Kuragari wanted. Then, Tas proceeded to kill his entire order, or at least anyone within spitting distance. He received an unnecessary amount of power from that altar, and now his already frying brain was completely fried. Everyone looked like prey to him. Of course Kuragari was caught up in the slaughter with everyone else, and then Tas headed out into the ruins of old Suna. There he chased down as many people as he could before settling down at the same spot where he took Koko's soul. He cried heavily for a moment and then took a real look at his hands. "You!" He yelled, smacking his hands on the ground with palms up. "This is you! This… You did it all!" Hands began to float out of his robe and surround him. He wasn't sure why he was saying or doing anything he was doing or saying. His mind was a jumbled mess with images of him killing his friends and alligators wearing hats. "How… How do they get the hats on their heads!?" He yells out and in the distance he can see men in ANBU attire running onto the scene. He rolled his eyes cause he was never a fan of the ANBU brigade people. One of his hands floated in front of his face, holding a large kitchen knife. "Of course! It's so simple!" He looked at the ANBU and laughed. "You guys get it, right?" The hand holding the knife rose up as did Tas' actual hands. In the air the hand swung the knife and both of Tas' hands came off from the wrist with a clean slice, despite having found that knife in the middle of some ruins. Blood gushed out as Tas held his arms in the air, creating a sort of sprinkler with his bloody limbs. Then a thought occurred to him. "My haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaands!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, most likely being detained by the ANBU at this point he would thrash about to keep them from getting him easy. He fell to the ground, whining about the hands he just cut off. Then he stood, and his eyes rolled to the back of his head as a green light appeared on the stumps. There was a sizzling noise as the green chakra performed it's healing duties. "Ahh, that's much worse." He would say with a smile, looking at his stubs, then back up at the ANBU. "Hey! ANBU!" He spoke as if this was the first time he had seen them. "Could you… Give me a hand or two?" He pulled up his stumps and then started bursting into hysterical laughter. If you knocked on his head you'd find no one was home. Just a bunch of mail piled up at the door. |
