Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]The thing about human biology was that everyone was, essentially, equal in experiencing it. So, as adrenaline ran through Akira, so did it run in Nanami. And it took her a bit, to calm down from her high, watching dispassionately as Torihiki fell to the ground, knocked out by the pain of having both eyes gouged out.

Changing the frequency of her own (real) headset to the local emergency line, she called in: "This is visiting Doctor Mizushima Nanami. I have Torihiki Urikire in custody. Please send prison transport to the Academy immediately. I'll keep him incapacitated until then and I am willing to cooperate with questioning if need be. Over and out." She reported the situation without pause, cutting off the line before the responder could question him further.

After that short tussle with the man, both in the world of illusion and in reality, she didn't quite have it in her to speak to voices in her head (or rather, her ear). Not to mention, she had a student to look after, after all.

Turning back, she knelt beside the unconscious boy. Extraction of the kunai was clean and precise, obviously from experience in treating battle wounds. A bottle of disinfectant was procured from her ever present medical supplies. After that, it was simply an easy fix to staunch the blood flow with a medical technique that promoted coagulation. Basically, the boy had no need to worry for physical damage. Nanami reckoned she was a good physician... she did make the Steward Kazekage a temporary arm using sandworm tissue during that one mission. Sealing a puncture wound seemed like a cakewalk in comparison.

Psychological wounds... on the other hand.

"I have no idea what he made you see, kid... Sorry, I didn't stop him sooner," she sighed, running a hand over her head.

If Akira woke up any later, he would find ANBU on the scene, cleaning up the damage and hauling away the slaver. One was even interrogating the doctor who was sitting in the very chair he first saw her in.

  • Cool. By the by, we can both request mission rewards at this point. I'll leave you to figure out that part yourself, heh. Going to sleep. You have a good day!

Akira's return to wakefulness was sudden, and filled with panic. He had been dreaming about being stuck in the genjutsu, but this time he hadn't managed to escape and had been captured. So as soon as he woke up, he sat up eyes wide and gasping, scanning his surroundings for threats. Around him ANBU was cleaning the damage, and he stiffened when he saw some of them hauling away Torihiki. That man was going to plague his nightmares for some time. Finally his eyes found doctor Mizushima, sitting in the same chair as when he first met her being questioned by the ANBU.

Finally he noticed that the pain in his leg was gone, and belatedly realized that someone had healed his thigh. He assumed it was doctor Mizushima, since she was well, a doctor. Staggering to his fit, he softly walked towards her. He hadn't known her for long, but she had protected him and that made him feel safe around her. He gave a weak if albeit wobbly smile to the ANBU's that had surely noticed the fact that he was awake, before finally reaching doctor Mizushima. Sitting down on the desk by her, he gave her the same wobbly smile, and hoped his eyes relayed his gratefulness.

"Thanks for protecting me, and thanks for healing my leg." He thanked her quietly. He didn't know what to do next. Were the ANBU going to question him too? Right now all he wanted was to go home and see for himself that his mother were alive and well, but the thought of walking home alone made his stomach tighten with dread. He tried to keep what he was feeling of his face, feeling childish to react like that now that the threat was removed.

[col]One could hear the tail end of the conversation between doctor and ANBU, as Akira approached. Although Nanami was of no fault, in regards to the incident, she was still looked upon with distrust considering her status as a mercenary and an outsider. One could just tell, even without seeing the expression on the ANBU's face, that he had his misgivings towards the woman.

Still, the doctor seemed to be taking it in stride. A forced smile was on her face and her tone was clipped as opposed to how casually she had spoken with Akira. Fortunately, she kept civil. "Yes, I'm willing to stand witness against his crimes, if necessary. If a mercenary, like myself, can see his actions as atrocious, I'm sure it's just... ah, how does the saying go? Scales from the eyes? Ah, yes, the scales fall from the eyes of those who believe him innocent."

With the way her eyes shuttered though, it seems the ANBU had something else to say. "I don't see why I'll be charged for the damages here. I'm sure my good friends, your Steward and your Prince, can attest that I did not mean to destroy your property," she hummed, in an annoyed manner. She didn't see why she had to pay. And she did so hate name dropping. But, if it got the jerk to back off...

"Ah, Kudo-san. You're looking well," she finally smiled. That kind smile that had welcomed the boy into their air conditioned heaven and had given him a lolly. She was quick to ignore the ANBU, now that she had an excuse to do so. "Think nothing of it. It was a simple matter. Although, I do suggest you not walk around so much for the next week. You dug really hard into your leg with that kunai. You could have cut through an artery. But, thankfully, you didn't."

  • Nothing to note. Oh, but do have fun at your cottage!

Edit: And I believe Shiori gave you your rewards in your training?

Akira felt a bit uncomfortable when he picked up on the undertones of mistrust and slight hostility between the ANBU and doctor Mizushima. Fortunately when Doctor Mizushima talked to him, the uncomfortable air in the room lessened slightly. He didn't know if he were still keyed up and hyper aware of everything around him, and that was why he was picking up on it with such ease, or because they didn't try to even hide the mistrust towards her. Though he didn't know how wise it was to ignore the ANBU like that.

He gulped when he heard he could have cut an artery when he stabbed his leg, and subconsciously ran a hand over where he had stabbed his leg. The thought hadn't even occurred to him when he had stabbed himself. "Yeah, I guess I was lucky." He chuckled, a touch hysterically. "Okay, I'll try not too walk on it too much..." Though he wasn't sure if he'd actually manage to keep of his leg for long. There was a lot to do at home, not to mention he didn't want to stay home form the academy for a week. Oh well, at least he could ask his sensei's if he could sit out on any physical exercises for the next week.

"Do I need to answer any questions about what happened?" He asked, aiming the question at both the ANBU and doctor Mizushima. While he knew he should be paying full attention to the ANBU's and treat them with respect, but he still felt safest around doctor Mizushima and valued her judgement more.

OOC: Thanks ^^ had a lot of fun, we were lucky with the weather.

[col]Nanami chuckled in turn, glad that the boy wasn’t too panicked about almost losing a leg. That would be a great disadvantage to have, as a shinobi, although it would certainly be interesting. Seeing her so casual with one of their academy students seemed to put the ANBU slightly at ease and a sound came from the masked man too.

She clapped a hand on the ANBU’s shoulder and pointed a finger at his mask. The man, Cat, startled at this and stiffened. But he managed to stop himself from reaching for a weapon. “I told this guy you won’t be available for questioning right away. You need your rest, after all. Doctor’s orders! But he’ll pick you up in a few days to question you,” she nodded before her smile widened into a grin. Mister Cat, with the purple feline mask, gave her a wary glance at that. “Maybe, he’ll pick you up in the middle of one of your classes too. Get the other brats to see you with a cool ANBU. Give them something to talk about, hm? You’ll be the cool kid in no time.”

Still, there was aloofness there, towards the masked shinobi. Perhaps, because there were no such thing as ANBU on Hashima Island and because the doctor herself was not from a proper shinobi village, she did not show the same fear or respect as your usual shinobi did. For all that she was concerned, they were uppity policemen who liked to dress up and hide their crooked faces.

“Anyway,” the woman hummed, moving her hand from the ANBU’s shoulder to Akira’s. “I’m sure my young friend here would like to get home! If you could excuse us, Mister Cat ANBU, we’ll be on our way. Right, Kudo-san?” As she spoke, she stirred the boy away and out of the classroom. All the while, she made sure he didn’t step too heavily on his mending leg.

  • I'll be rebirthing into Stone soon. But I will be keeping Nanami as an NPC. So, feel free to PM me if you want to RP in the future!
