[col]The thing about human biology was that everyone was, essentially, equal in experiencing it. So, as adrenaline ran through Akira, so did it run in Nanami. And it took her a bit, to calm down from her high, watching dispassionately as Torihiki fell to the ground, knocked out by the pain of having both eyes gouged out.
Changing the frequency of her own (real) headset to the local emergency line, she called in: "This is visiting Doctor Mizushima Nanami. I have Torihiki Urikire in custody. Please send prison transport to the Academy immediately. I'll keep him incapacitated until then and I am willing to cooperate with questioning if need be. Over and out." She reported the situation without pause, cutting off the line before the responder could question him further.
After that short tussle with the man, both in the world of illusion and in reality, she didn't quite have it in her to speak to voices in her head (or rather, her ear). Not to mention, she had a student to look after, after all.
Turning back, she knelt beside the unconscious boy. Extraction of the kunai was clean and precise, obviously from experience in treating battle wounds. A bottle of disinfectant was procured from her ever present medical supplies. After that, it was simply an easy fix to staunch the blood flow with a medical technique that promoted coagulation. Basically, the boy had no need to worry for physical damage. Nanami reckoned she was a good physician... she did make the Steward Kazekage a temporary arm using sandworm tissue during that one mission. Sealing a puncture wound seemed like a cakewalk in comparison.
Psychological wounds... on the other hand.
"I have no idea what he made you see, kid... Sorry, I didn't stop him sooner," she sighed, running a hand over her head.
If Akira woke up any later, he would find ANBU on the scene, cleaning up the damage and hauling away the slaver. One was even interrogating the doctor who was sitting in the very chair he first saw her in.|</FONTFACE>[legend="Out of Character Notes"]

- Cool. By the by, we can both request mission rewards at this point. I'll leave you to figure out that part yourself, heh. Going to sleep. You have a good day!
