Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been a number of days since the last time Roka found herself with even a little bit of down time. Between work at the village's hospital, and herb collection missions, there wasn't much time for anything else. But today was different, and with Titan by her side, Roka had found herself at one of the more liveliest towns outside of her village in the region. Her first stop was at the countries most renown port, Port Cirrus. From there, she had plans to head down further south to a city known as Kelmura. While most would view these two cities as a place where wealth could be made, Roka saw it as a place to just sight see and window shop. Many of the merchants down here sold and bartered with international goods. While down this way today, Roka hoped to find a specific type of meat and some snacks from the fire country she hadn't had since she was little.

As she walked the outskirts of Port Cirrus, she'd reach down by her side and pat the top of Titan's head. "If were lucky, we might find some brazed pork belly and spicy candies from the fire country!" She told him, with a bit of excitement in her voice. Titan, who was twice the size of an average grey wolf, began to shake his tail in excitement. While the candies weren't for him, he was all to familiar with the taste of brazed pork belly. Even though it had been a long journey on foot, their first stop was now less than half a mile away.

A faint drizzle clung to Shiro’s cloak as he trudged off the main trade route and onto a smaller path leading toward Port Cirrus. By now, anyone looking at him might think he was simply another traveler passing through on business. In truth, he was taking an unplanned detour: there was something he had once owned, something important, that he suspected might still be here. The need to reclaim it had weighed on him ever since leaving the gathering with the Ryuu in the main of Kumogakure, present in his mind even as he raced through the halls of the country's most notorious prison.

With every step closer to the bustling port, Shiro felt a strange sense of familiarity, as though the swirling tide and sea-salt air held echoes of a memory he couldn’t fully grasp. He’d told himself that he would move on to his next objective without distraction. Yet the nagging pull of that missing possession was too strong to ignore.

Now, as he reached the edge of Port Cirrus, the sight of colorful stalls and the hum of distant chatter steered him further in. The crowd was thick, but Shiro’s gaze was sharp, scanning faces in hopes of spotting a clue or crossing paths with someone who might help. A large wolf and a kunoichi caught his eye, an unusual pair that stood out amid the throng of merchants and sailors. The sight of shinobi and canine side by side harkened him back to younger times, to an era that had now come and past. "Inuzuka... I would've remembered that..." The stormcaller thought, a furrow flashing on his brow beneath his Konohagakure headband. Suppressing the surge of unease that came with the realization that already things were changing, the Time Walker eased his way through the gathering crowd, drawn onward towards that familiar shop by the unshakable feeling that he was closer than ever to returning to what he’d lost.

Finally, Roka and Titan had arrived to Port Cirrus and at first glance, the crowds were just as massive as ever. Glancing down at her faithful friend, she nodded and began to make her way through the busy streets of the ports. Her first stop, a gift shop usually dedicated to couples. They had everything from fine jewelry, new and old, to snacks, and other types of gifts one would give a loved one. She didn't know if her spicy candies were even in season, but it seemed like the right time of year anyway.

On occasion, she'd bump shoulders with a stranger here and there. While she made an effort to apologize and excuse herself, they tended to be to preoccupied to even care. "Rude.." She thought, as she glanced at Titan sniffing about. "I know you smell it too boy." She'd tell him, as she closed her eyes and took in the aroma of freshly cooked street foods. "We're definitely gonna pig out while we're down here. I just want to find our snacks first." Said Roka, as she patted his head once again.

Before long, she found herself at a small building with a sliding door. Sliding it open, she glanced at Titan and watched as he took a seat next to the door. Upon entering, she took notice as to how the merchants display counters seemed full of jewelry. Some from this country, and others from all around. Her eyes lit up for a second, before quickly shifting to the back of the shop where the goods were usually stored. Walking past the merchant entirely, she quickly scanned the shelves.

[Wc: 274 for Contract]

Shirokouu stepped inside the shop with steady purpose, briefly scanning the shelves and counters arranged along each wall. A quick glance confirmed what he had both feared and suspected: the small trinket he recalled, a simple band with a distinctive design, was nowhere to be seen. Whether it had been sold long ago or had never even been made in this timeline was impossible to say, and the realization brought with it a mixed pang of regret and resignation. "Things are already changing..." He took a slow breath, quietly allowing himself a moment to quell his disappointment and fear of the unknown before turning his attention to a set of vials near the counter. They contained finely layered sand in vibrant shades of red, white, gold, dark purple, and a deep steel blue, each carefully dyed to create striking patterns.

As he turned the vial over in his hand, Shiro felt a subtle prickle at the back of his neck. Glancing up, he took in the lone customer who had just entered. The large wolf at her side was immediately eye-catching, its height and bearing a clear testament to a life well-trained and well-traveled. His gaze shifted to the young woman, noting that the beast at her side was not just a simple companion, but a hallmark of her Inuzuka heritage. Though she seemed occupied with her own search, moving with the ease and self-assurance of a trained shinobi, her presence served as a reminder that he was not the only one here with specialized skills. For a moment, he considered slipping out quietly, but the memory of what had brought him here, the chance at replacing a piece of his past, kept him rooted.

Deciding that improvisation was the best course, he approached Roka and lightly tapped the glass of the vial to catch the woman's attention. He offered her a polite nod, acknowledging her companion with a quick glance. "Excuse me miss," he began, holding up the miniature container of brightly hued sand. "Hope I'm not bothering you, but I was hoping to get your opinion. I'm buying this for someone special to me... What do these colors make you think of?" There was a carefully measured warmth in his voice, and he shrugged in a show of uncertainty. The question was partly genuine. On the surface, dyed sand might simply be a decorative item, but he knew that with a precise application of his own unique lightning-laden abilities, it could be shaped into something far more significant. Even so, he wanted a second opinion, preferably from someone who might have lived a more well-adjusted life than the time-scorned Santaru had. He looked with a slight smile down at the massive canine. Then, turning his attention from Titan back to the kunoichi, he waited for her response with a politely inquisitive look, all the while reminding himself to tread carefully. Something about the wolf and its handler told him that she was not someone to take lightly, and he preferred to keep his own secrets buried until the time was right.

As she focused on the shelves before her, someone began to tap vial behind her. Turning to glance back behind her, she noticed him nod at her. Fully turning, she crossed her arms and listened to him speak while he held a small container of colored sand. He seemed polite, and genuinely just making conversation, so she relaxed a little bit as her arms slipped down towards her hips. "Hmm. Does this special someone like going to a beach, or something like that?" She answered. Roka wasn't the type of girl who liked trinkets and nick knacks. After asking that question, she'd provide a little context to why she asked the question. "Because, it reminds me of one of those little gift shop items from tourist shops. It's kinda hard to look past the vial and not image that." She stated.

Glancing out of the corner of her eye, she saw a box laying on the floor beside one of the display cases. Shifting her focus to it, for a brief second, he eyes widened. Her favorite candies were right there, waiting for some space on a shelf to have some clear room. "Hey shop keep, how much for that entire box of those candies in the box?" She asked, before glancing back towards the man with the sand in his hand.

"Ma'am, that'll be Twenty five thousand yen." The keep stated, as he watched Roka's eyes slightly widen in disbelief. "That's like a whole missions pay right there, how?" She thought, as she once again turned her focus to the guy with the vial of sand. Raising her hand up towards her head, she pointed her thump towards the shop keep. "He's lost his mind, hasn't he?" She asked the guy. "Ma'am, that's the price. Take it or leave." Said the keep, as Roka slightly began to shake her head.

Letting out a quick "Whistle", Titan sat up and glanced into the building. "Lets go boy." She said, as she slowly began to pass by the man who had spoke to her earlier. As she approached the door, a suddenly explosion rang out in the distance, shaking the very ground beneath their feet.

BOOOOOMMMM!!!!

The sound of the explosion rang out, almost as if it were echoing through the entire city, before coming to a brief silence. Startled by sound, she stopped dead in her tracks and glanced back into the shop. Then, the screams of panicking citizens, tourists, and locals shrieking in fear filled the streets. "That sounded like it came from the harbor!" Shouted Roka, as her and Titan took off in the direction without another word. Both her and Titan took to the streets, and began weaving through the civilians who were now rushing in the opposite direction.

This trip was supposed to be for leisure, but even here Roka had an obligation to the civilians of the lighting country. While she was a Shinobi, she was also a full fledged Medical Shinobi. An explosion like this would've caused mass destruction, and who knew how many people could've been caught up within it. Glancing back towards Titan, she saw him bash through a group of civilians, knocking them to the ground on accident. "Sorry! I'm a Medic and thats my assistant. Get somewhere safe!" She called out to the guys, as she continued towards the Harbor.

Shirokouu dipped his head in a polite half-bow, acknowledging Roka’s thoughts on the vial. Part of him knew it was asking too much of a stranger, especially without context, to gauge the worth or sentiment behind his intended purchase. Still, he managed a quiet smile. “I appreciate the honesty,” he said, tone calm as ever. “I suppose I was hoping the colors would speak for themselves.” He glanced once more at the container in his hand, thinking how little sense it might make to anyone else. Yet he refrained from explaining that he had hoped to reforge these grains into something symbolic. Lightning and sand had their reaction, after all. So instead, he merely gave a slight, reflective nod.

A sudden roar, the boom of an explosion, rattled the windows, and Shiro’s attention snapped to the world outside. In the space of a single heartbeat, he acted. What Roka and any bystanders might perceive as a momentary blur was in fact Shiro channeling his mastery of both lightning-laced speed and the malleability of time he now commanded. In one instant he stood inside the shop. In the next millisecond he was by the counter, depositing more than enough yen to satisfy the shopkeeper. Just as swiftly, he was at the door, face set in steely resolve. That single explosion reverberated in his mind, reminding him that any hesitation could cost lives. With one final glance, he saw Roka sprinting into the street alongside her massive wolf. A sense of respect for her quick response flickered through him, and he answered her purposeful stride with a small, resolute nod.

Emerging into the chaos, Shiro’s focus honed on the harbor where panicked citizens rushed inland, fear and confusion written across their faces. He darted through the throng with practiced ease, mind already cataloging the potential hazards. Bits of shattered wood and scattered debris told the story of something violent, but that was hardly the only surprise. As he wove through the narrow alleys leading to the docks, he noticed people pointing and screaming in alarm. He skidded to a stop at the edge of the waterfront and watched in stunned silence as a near-infinite wave of red crabs scuttled across the wharf, their chitinous bodies clicking against the wooden boards. The spectacle was both bizarre and unsettling. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, crawling and snapping their claws in unison, spreading through Port Cirrus like a restless tide of crimson red.

Sparing a quick glance over his shoulder, Shiro saw Roka and Titan closing in with similar urgency, their expressions mirroring the confusion he felt. Whatever had triggered this invasion, it posed a clear threat to the port’s inhabitants. With no time to exchange words, he simply locked eyes with the Inuzuka medic and dipped his head in acknowledgment as if to say, "Let's go." He had learned well, from all his harrowing experiences, that in moments like this, cooperation between skilled individuals often meant the difference between disaster and salvation. Stepping forward, Shiro focused on both the unrelenting tide of crabs and the path he would need to carve through it, silently hoping their combined efforts would be enough to keep Port Cirrus from descending into utter chaos.

As the duo approached the Harbors, a massive wave of neigh uncountable red crabs began to flood the Port. At first glance, Roka couldn't figure out where the explosion came from, but right now that was neither here nor there. Glancing back towards Titan, and then towards the man from the shop, Roka nodded in unison. There was no need for words, only actions. Instantly, she shifted into both her Lighting Style and Feral shift. As lightning began to form around her body, Roka raised her hands and began clapping; using her thunder clap Technique. After which, she jumped forward as Lightning based Chakra began to channel throughout her arm, engulfing her hand; Chidori!

As her Chidori technique ringed out, a large group of crabs cleared an opening. "No way!" She shouted while in shock, before she glanced over to see what the stranger was doing. "How are these things able to coordinate a dodge like that?" She asked herself, before changing tactics. Instinctively, she knew targeting this large group of crabs with area of effect techniques would prove best, but Roka just didn't have access to techniques like that. While unfortunate, she continued as she held out her palms, focused her chakra, and let loose a bright beam of electricity that appeared almost like a beam of energy; Gigavolt Cannon. Once again, the horde of crabs somehow evaded her technique.

In pure frustration now, Roka performed hand seals once again as she held out her palms. "Third times the charm!" She thought, as she saw the wave of crabs form tightly together. Once again, her chakra focused around the palms of her hand before letting lose another bright beam of electricity. Instantly, the beam of electricity shot out, landing directly on a cluster of the crabs! "Lets go!" She thought, once again glancing at the other guy. Hopefully he'd catch on soon, otherwise this would probably prove to challenging for Roka alone. Quickly, her glance turned towards Titan. He hadn't been with her since she jumped into the fray. "Wait, where's titan?" She asked herself.

He had never been one to leave her side, especially not in a situation like this. Usually they were in sync while fighting alongside each other. Right now though, she just didn't spot him on the battle field at all. Upon realizing this, a sudden since of concern shot into the back of her skull. However, before she could further worry the swam of crabs around her began to regroup, drawing her attention to the immediate situation once again. Her eyes began to shift, side to side, as she wondered what to do next, before yelling out to the other guy. "If you know any area of effect techniques, it'd be rather useful!" She'd shout, before to went on the move again.

Shiro narrowed his eyes at the frantic motion of the red crabs swarming the port, aware of how they seemed to flow around the lightning blasts that Roka unleashed. He could almost hear the shrill clamoring of thousands of shells clacking in unison, a discordant chorus echoing across the damaged docks. The sharp tang of salt in the air mixed with the lingering smoke from the earlier explosion, creating an atmosphere thick with tension. Though the scurrying crustaceans posed a bizarre threat, the way they coordinated their moves signaled that there might be a guiding intelligence behind them. Shiro heard the Inuzuka's call for area-wide techniques and felt a pang of urgency settle deep in his core. "Be fast. Be precise. Protect these people." Shiro told himself internally. His goal was clear.

He grounded his feet and concentrated on the swirl of chakra thrumming through his body, calling upon the dual forces of water and lightning that defined his bloodline. The air around him crackled as he summoned moisture from the atmosphere, condensing it into shimmering globules that orbited his outstretched arms. A flicker of brilliant electricity began dancing between his fingertips, and with a swift twist of his wrists, he fused the water and lightning natures, forging them into the unmistakable sign of the storm release that had become his trademark. Tima crawled as mere seconds passed, to Shiro, everything seemed to slow as he wove handseals in rapid succession, each seal sparking with arcs of pale blue energy. The water around him solidified into unnaturally rigid shapes, forming into over a myriad of curved blades that hovered in the air like a lethal halo. Each blade glowed with an undercurrent of electricity, an ever-shifting pulse of shimmering currents that served as a promise of the pain they could inflict.

With a final sharp gesture, Shiro let the blades fly. In a blur so quick that most bystanders would perceive only an instant of bright light, they cut into the wave of crabs. Several clusters of the creatures seemed to scatter, but they were not fast enough to escape the cascading slashes of electrified water. Those caught in the path of the blades snapped their claws in a futile attempt to defend themselves, only to be carved down. Shells cracked under the simultaneous impact of steel-like water and high-voltage current, sending a hiss of steam and salt spray into the already churning air. He did not pause to watch the aftermath. Almost immediately, he launched another jutsu. This time, five spears of electrified water shot forth, twisting through the air in serpentine arcs that seemed almost alive. Their path changed mid-flight, curving around each other to strike from unexpected angles. It was as though an invisible hand guided them, weaving them into and around the masses of clicking invaders. Crabs scattered in all directions, some trying to climb over one another to escape. The spears relentlessly tracked them down, piercing lines through the carpet of chitin with ruthless precision.

When the last spear dissipated into faint droplets and sizzles of residual lightning, Shiro found himself standing amid a sea of motionless shells and scattered limbs where his attacks had landed. The entire sequence, from gathering chakra to the final spear landing, had taken no more than three seconds. A few stunned citizens stared in awe from behind whatever cover they had managed to find. Despite the slight burn in his muscles and the lingering sparks dancing along his arms, Shiro felt a grim satisfaction at having cleared at least part of the threat. Yet there was no time to celebrate. The horde was still massive, and he could sense more crabs rushing in from the far side of the dock. If they continued to flood the area, even the most coordinated defense might fail. He flicked his gaze across the chaos to confirm that Roka was still on her feet, glancing toward her in silent acknowledgment. Though they had only just met, he valued her strength and medical expertise, recognizing that she was no stranger to combat on a grand scale. He steadied his breath, hands crackling with residual electricity, ready to charge forward and unleash yet another barrage. Whatever these crabs were, he intended to stand firm alongside his newfound ally, determined to protect Port Cirrus from the oncoming tide.

- The Crap horde begins to spew bubbles, in mass quantities, throughout the area surrounding the two of us in retaliation for their attacks. [Refer to Crab contract in reference to the bubbles.]
- Do a d3 roll. [1 bubbles miss, 2 bubbles hit] weave it in as you like.

Although Roka seemed to be struggling, fate proved to be on her side. If only by chance, the man from the shop earlier was more than she had originally expected. Not only that, but he wielded an Advanced element almost as if it were second nature. While she didn't recognize the technique, it was evident that it was beyond her own skills. In one fell swoop, the man neigh instantly wiped out a quarter of the horde while she struggled to land a single hit. "YEAH!" She shouted, in excitement as her focus quickly readjusted to the horde around her. A large cluster of them began to form together, as bubbles filled the air and obscure the field.

Jumping Back, in an attempt to get closer to the new comer, Roka readjusted herself and quickly scanned the battle field. Even here, the bubbles were quickly beginning to surround her once again. "You're incredible!" She shouted, in recognition to his speed and relentless assaults' on these invaders. Taking a stance, her eyes shifted as titan howled in the distance. Glancing over, she finally noticed him; the leap into action had slowed him down, but he was still there. As he Acknowledged her, Roka activated her "Alpha status" as the two prepared for their combo. Titan would transform Suddenly, the two ran straight into the horde as their bodies began to spin rapidly, like two massive flying drills, shredding across the battle field.

As their technique ended, Roka found the source of the earlier explosion; as bubbles began to burst and explode all around her. While titan had been spared, Roka found herself nearly falling before catching stance and glaring. "Titan, keep at it buddy!" She giving him the order to continue with the Fang over Fang technique. Watching him perform it, she followed suit; while they were using the same technique, this was no where near the synchronized combo they had previously used together. While Titan continued to shred through the horde of crabs, somehow Roka failed to land her attack again. By now, she was beginning to grow more and more frustrated. If anything, she was beginning to embarrass herself. Though, at least she at least some help in this situation.

Pausing for a second, she glanced out towards the harbors again. While the crabs on the battle field were spewing bubbles, and obscuring the field, something caught her attention. The waves, smashing against the docks, seemed to be unnatural and for some reason, Roka had the feeling that something was coming.

Shiro caught sight of Roka and Titan spinning through the horde, shredding crab shells with an impact so fierce that it made his own storm-wrought attacks look almost tame. The sight stirred a rush of admiration in him, but also something more primal. He felt a competitive spark flare in his chest, a reminder of that instinct all shinobi share: the drive to push themselves further in the face of someone else’s strength. With the crash of waves and the crackle of electricity still raging around him, he raised his voice to call out above the din. “Speak for yourself! You two fight like one!” he shouted, eyes shining with pure white light. "But I can't let you pair have all the fun!” A grin tugged at his lips. A moment ago he had been purely focused on annihilating the crabs, but now he welcomed this sudden jolt of spirited rivalry.

Bracing his stance, he inhaled sharply and began to weave signs in a blur of motion. Time itself fully stopped around him. And, in the span of three seconds that no one else at that pier could bear witness to, he shaped water and lightning into something large and imposing. Liquid currents rose from the ground, swirling into the outline of a beast that swiftly morphed into a sleek black panther, its body rippling with arcs of violet-white electricity. He exhaled and allowed time to resume its normal pace, leaving the newly-forged storm creature standing at his side, eyes aglow with flickering sparks. The panther let out a low rumble that reverberated across the churned battlefield, and Shiro wasted no time directing its destructive potential toward the crab invaders still flooding in from the shore.

He lifted his arms, and at his command a cluster of wide storm-blades formed around him once more, shimmering with water and crackling energy. This was the Gates of Babylon technique, once again brought to bear, only this time sharpened by his renewed vigor. Five blades streaked outward in bright arcs, cutting through the air with a hiss that rivaled the roar of crashing waves. Four of the blades that missed their initial targets curved in midflight, homing in on the crawling mass of crustaceans trying to skirt the battle and clamber up the far side of the docks. But unfortunately, they lacked the same guided precision that their predecessor had ten seconds prior. Meanwhile, the panther loomed over an incoming pack of snapping claws, unleashing two crackling tendrils of lightning from its back. They lashed about like twin whips, striking multiple groups of scuttling creatures and leaving arcs of searing charge in their wake. The odor of scorched crabshell mingled with the ozone-heavy air, intensifying the chaotic atmosphere blanketing Port Cirrus.

Satisfied that he had temporarily halted the tide of creatures at the docks, Shiro shifted his attention to a new cluster of red bodies advancing in from the shallow waters. Drawing on the vast reserves of water swirling in the bay, he shaped an immense wave and set it surging forward, a maneuver he knew as the Scorn of Aquarius. The crest of liquid rose up taller than a two-story building, then crashed down on the creeping line of crabs before unnaturally pulling back, sweeping them off the wharf in a tremendous rush. Saltwater foamed and frothed, carrying them back into the open sea, at least for the moment. The world seemed to pause in that instant, and Shiro took the brief lull to catch his breath, surveying the battlefield with fierce determination. Though much of the immediate threat had been pushed back, he couldn't know whether the thread had truly abated or if this was just the first wave. Glancing toward Roka and Titan, he gave them a confident nod, silently acknowledging that together they could face whatever else might be lurking in the tumultuous waters of Port Cirrus.

Crab Horde Health: 8192 - 12,740 = Gone ~

Just seconds ago, the three of them were surrounded by an outlandish amount of crabs, but now due to their relentless onslaught of attacks, the horde had begun to thin. The new comer had proved to be powerful, outmatching the combined efforts of Roka and titan, and still he gave praise to both of them. Nodding her head in recognition, she blinked and bore witness to a mass amount of destruction laid upon the horde in front of her. Shocked, she glanced at the guy and then towards Titan. "What just happened?" She asked herself, wondering how the hell someone was capable of doing something like this, at this speed.

Before she could react, her attention had been drawn to a panther like creation as her focus shifted to the new comer once again. His techniques were advanced, and beyond what Roka was capable of, but that wouldn't deter her. "Titan, again! Lets go!" She'd shout, as the two of them got into position. Once again, Roka and Titan would combine their efforts and use their Fang over Fang technique! As they began to rapidly spin, and tunnel across the battlefield, the two eventually came to a halt as they caught themselves running out of targets.

As Titan howled, Roka nodded in recognition as the two went their separate ways and continued their onslaught of what remained of the crab horde. Once again, each of them used the same technique just to quickly assault the few remaining crabs. Within seconds, both titan and Roka came to complete stop; both realizing the horde had been defeated. With a puff of smoke, Titan would revert back to his usual form as the beast clone technique wore off. Turning her focus to the guy who had helped them this entire time, Roka began to approach him. "Hey! Thanks for the help, I'm Roka and this is Titan. What's your name?" She'd ask him, before waiting for his reply.

In the distance, the sounds of the bubbles that once filled the air could be heard softly popping one by one. Though, the water near one of the piers began to swell up as a giant figure broke the waters surface. Turning her attention to it, Roka and Shiro both would recognize what appeared to be an old, formerly, sunken and battered ship now floating near by. "What the heck's going on now?" She said, as her attention had turned fully towards this ship.

Shiro scanned the battlefield, eyes lingering on the space where the last wave of crabs had been eliminated. For a moment, he found himself staring on with a nostalgic smile, struck by how seamlessly Roka and Titan had worked in unison. It reminded him of the place he once called home. Their synchronized movements made him reminisce about the Inuzuka in his village, including his old friend Neko, who could merge their styles until they seemed like different aspects of the same warrior. Glancing once more at the charred shells and shattered carapaces littering the docks, he allowed himself a small smile. They had managed to clear an entire horde in mere moments, and most of it was due to Roka and her companion’s impressive technique and persistence.

He shifted his attention as Roka approached, a friendly curiosity lighting his gaze. When she introduced herself and Titan, Shiro dipped his head in respectful greeting, remembering that he had never given his name. “Honor's mine, Roka. I'm Shiro,” he replied, voice not loud, but confident enough to carry over the debris-strewn pier. He didn't give his last name. Something about living lives under two different ones made him question which really belonged anymore. He didn't pause to think about it, however, adding, “You and Titan truly are in a league of your own. It was like watching one mind move two bodies.” A flicker of admiration sparked behind his eyes, though he tempered his enthusiasm with a hint of caution. Even in the midst of chaos, it was not wise to reveal everything about himself or his past, especially when he was unsure if the threat was truly finished. He took a moment to glance around at the broken planks and swirling foam from the remains of his large-scale tidal jutsu, confirming that nothing else lurked in the immediate vicinity. Looking over to Titan he reached out to scruff the canine behind the ears, if he and Roka allowed it, and said, "I bet you enjoyed that meal too, didn't you big guy?"

Just then, his attention was drawn to the sudden stirring of the water near a battered pier. On instinct, he took a step forward, posture tensing as he watched the waves churn and swirl in an unnatural motion. The battered hull of an ancient ship breached the surface, listing to one side as if pulled up by a force that had little concern for how a vessel was meant to float. Splintered timbers and rusted iron fixtures cast eerie shapes in the dimming light. Shiro’s first impression was that this warped craft belonged at the bottom of the sea, but here it was, bobbing in the shallows of Port Cirrus like some ghostly omen. "What is that thing?" He wondered, then glanced over at Roka, careful not to direct any assumptions about what was happening. The Santaru then peered back at the looming wreckage that seemed to begin moving all on its own. He could feel a renewed tension creeping up his spine as he prepared himself for what might happen next. "You ready?" He asked Roka, not looking away to make eye contact, his pale blues beginning to glow once more.

As Shiro introduced himself, Roka smiled as he complimented their team work once again. "Hey, you've got some pretty unique skills yourself." She tell him, before noticing him reach out to pet titan behind the ears. Normally she'd stop any stranger from messing with titan, but he seemed to be friendly enough. Besides, they just wiped out a horde of crabs together, as odd as that might sound. Though this brief moment would be just that, as Shiro noticed the same ship as her. While he asked if she was ready, Roka responded with only a nod before motioning for titan to stay at her side.

Together with Shiro, and Titan, Roka would begin to approach the ship. Other than it being old and decayed, the first thing she'd notice would be the uncountable amount of barnacles attached to the ships hull. "How is this thing even floating?" She'd ask out loud towards Shiro as if he'd have the answers. Before them was what appeared to be a ramped entrance into the ship itself, though this was something Roka and Titan were both hesitant about. "Probably more crabs on the ship or something like that." She'd say, as she took the initiative and began to walk up it as if she had not a single care in the world.

Upon reaching the deck, she'd look around and see how rough a shape the ship in. Barnacles would be spread all throughout the deck, as was what appeared to be the decayed remains of various fish, reefs, and other sea life. Planks would be broken, and any rope present covered in mildew. At first glance, it was apparent that this ship hadn't just been floating around for some time. The wood beneath their feet was moist, and decrepit giving Roka the idea that this thing had been sunken for a wild. Turning to Titan, and Shiro if he chose to follow her, she'd ask a simple question. "Do you think the crabs somehow caused this thing to surface?" She'd ask, as a clawing like thump could be heard from somewhere within the ship.

Pausing, Roka attention was now drawn towards that sound. Backing up, and stepping upon a cluster of barnacles, a loud crunch sound could be heard. Glancing down, she witnessed that very cluster seemingly move and reshape itself. "What the hell?" She asked herself.
