Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Aikayume Azusa

- Learning the Heavyhanded ability;
It was beautiful.

The miko found her body drawn closer and closer to claim her gift; a sheathed katana waiting for her.

"Ahh...beautiful. A truly lovely weapon blessed by the spirit of the Byakko himself...worthy to be wielded by my hand! Sensei...You have done well. I am....thankful." The fox was entranced, blushing as she tentatively reached out to the blade softly, as if it would shatter upon the slightest touch.

The weapon called to her; she could feel it. Growing more confident, she unsheathed the blade, noting the wispy trails of shadowy light trailing off the blade, like steam off a hot surface, as the sacred sword adjusted itself to suit its new wielder. "You are mine now, Liberator of Darkness. And I will grant you your feast; this I promise to you." She spoke. Enamored with her gift, the shrine maiden ran the tips of her index and middle fingers along the length of the blade's flat side.

Stroking the blade, the fox's green eyes shifted back towards to her sensei with a look of smug mischief. "If the Liberator of Darkness wishes to take only tainted lives, I can think of none more vile. That will be my offering to it...Afterwhich, it will understand that I am its master. I will be the one to choose who it kills. Nothing else." Sheathing the blade, the fox clutched it against her chest, fawning over it. The joy in her expression was not unlike a child being given a new toy...Aside from the murderous fantasy of slaying the demon Akkuma, of course.

Liberator of Darkness

Sacred blade of the Byakko clan that changes its form to suit its wielder; in Azusa's possession it takes the form a lengthy odachi. The blade emits an aura of divine darkness when unsheathed and lusts to purge demons and those touched by darkness, but will return to the Byakko if ever used slay an innocent.

- Learning Initiative, Quickdraw, Combo Master, and Clarity;
The time the Aikayume shrine maiden had spent under the tutelage of Kyuji, the descendant of Byakko, had not been in vain. While her chakra had dulled, and her ninjutsu became faint and weak as a result, Byakko medic had helped honed Azusa's latent speed and strength. Though her Ninjutsu had weakened, she was still able to excel in taijutsu, if she put in the effort. The training was difficult, and for the energetic shrine maiden, boring...But before long, what she had lacked in her former ninjutsu prowess she made up for with skill and elegance with her blade.

...But even this flourishing swordplay of hers was temporary, and began to fade.

Or rather, became lost in the corners of her mind.

The disease she carried was slow to consume her, but always present. As she took the time to develope her skill, more and more the plague within her spread its roots deep into her mind and body. It was silent, but signs of its defilement eventually began to emerge; her style of swordplay seemed less like an elegant dance and more like a mindless flurry of rapid blows over time. No longer did her strikes have the refined motions of an elegant priestess of the Aikayume, no more were they a captivating performance. Instead, her movements were now bestial. Relentless. To the point where she would not hesitate to make a strike against any potential threats, acting solely upon her aggression.

But her madness was not without hope.

The Liberator of Darkness

Divine sword blessed by the spirits of the Byakko clan. Gift from Byakko Kyuji.

This sacred blade was more than a simple prop, and was a divine relic. Despite her condition after her fall from grace the sword recognized Azusa as its master, and she recognized it as her weapon. This sacred blade served not only as a weapon with which Azusa could use to strike down her perceived enemies, but also acted as a shield for her vulnerable mind when she needed it most during her life. The blade served to anchor part of her mind in reality, helping her keep some sliver of her sanity from being otherwise entirely consumed by bloodlust. This sword's blessing was imperfect, and could only do so much when she really became overwhelmed with urges...But the even still, its power could mean the difference between seeing friend and foe when she needed it most.

- Learning the Willpower Ability.
The foxfolk of the Aikayume clan were some of the most stubborn individuals to be encountered. The majority of them held such pride and esteem in themselves, and Azusa had this trait especially strong in herself.

Despite many practicing some sort of illusionary technique on her own, it was not because she was particularly strong against mental attacks. If anything, she was actually quite vulnerable!

But it was because she was stubborn. Prideful. Arrogant.

Once she set her eyes on a target, it was difficult to pull her away from it. Clouding her mind with illusions will only distract her so much before her attention returned to what she was set on. She was difficult to dissuade.

...For better and worse.

I ALMOST FORGOT!

Changing Shinobi 101 from "Visual Genjutsu with Melee Accuracy", to "Kinetic Genjutsu with Melee Accuracy"

Though Genjutsu had been her specialty as a child, she had long since focused on her swordfighting techniques; an oddity for an Aikayume, although she had always been a black sheep among them. Still; her newest technique was a Genjutsu of all things.

And even further, it acknoledge an ugly side of her that she wished she could bury away. This of course, referring to the time she was cursed by Akkuma and unable to control herself, lusting for blood and flesh. It was always a struggle against her inner nature, and she knew the pain she had caused in her past were wrong; she had even harmed those close to her. And she regretted it.

But she did not dislike it. A guilty pleasure in the truest sense, Azusa had certainly regretted the consequences of her actions...but performing them? As cruel and savage as they were, she -enjoyed- the thrill of power and combat. She knew it was wrong; and she was actively fighting against the urge within her to return to her previous ways. And of course she would be hesitant to ever admit it.

Still, she had used this desire to create a special technique to add to her style. She practiced on how to weave illusions with her touch, and what she settled upon was a throwback to the bloodshed mindlessly caused under Akkuma's influence...Even if only through a fantasy.

Afterall; if she was not relying on any dark power, and not causing actual harm, an illusion was only an illusion, right?
