Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

0. Combat Medic/Medical Knowledge
- The user gains access to Medical Jutsu.
- If the user is in the same battle as a person who has been killed, they may heal the player back to KO status at the end of the battle.
- Once per round, the user may use a Medical jutsu up to B rank reflexively.

0. Shinobi 101 - Genjutsu [FIRE]
- Upon gaining this ability, the user is to specify a single base element and is now able to cast this element via their Genjutsu Difficulty instead of using Ninjutsu Accuracy. This element may be unlearned after three months and in which the user is able to apply for a new element, able to transfer these ranks to another Advanced Element or Ninjutsu of their choice.

1. Jutsu Expansion
- Allows the user to increase the rank of a Jutsu and all associated effects with it. Jutsu AP cost is increased by .5AP.

The new OOC rank jutsu (ex: E to D) gain the following values in order of D/C/B/A.

Offensive Jutsu - Damage gains 630/650/2400/2950
Barrier Jutsu - Barrier health gains 565/585/2160/2655
Clone Jutsu - Hp/Cp % increase 10/5/5/10, Increased accuracy of 2/1/3/3

For all the above:
Chakra cost gains 200/280/1470/2000
Secondary Effect % chance gains 6/3/15/27

2. Called Shot
- Called Shots only take half the usual accuracy Penalties.
- +5% Called Shot chance.
- User can inflict Broken rank debuffs.

3. Quickdraw
- Drawing/Sheathing weapons and Drawing items are modded as if costing 0ap. (Normal AP costs are paid).

4. Quick Reaction
- If the user dodges an attack, the user may declare a jutsu to be used as a counterattack against the attacker at +1 Accuracy/DC. The user pays all costs normally.

5. Strategist
-Required for certain jutsu/item effects. Also allows the following:
- Grants the user 5 Prep slots. Prep slots are not extra inventory slots, but allow for up to 5 special effects.
- May prep a weapon to have 1 free basic strike that is counted as a Sneak Attack. If used while in stealth the user has a 25% chance to remain in Stealth. May be used multiple times on a single weapon costing a Prep slot each time.
- May prep a weapon to be poisoned by an injury type Poison.
- May attach items to other items (see the items themselves for details) for 0 AP and can be prepared prior to battle.

6. Initiative
- The user is capable of prioritizing 1 AP worth of actions per round which are modded as 0 AP but all costs are paid as normal.

7. Elemental Illusion
- The user may choose to have their Genjutsu take on properties of a single Base Element they have a Major Affinity in.
- The user may only have a single effect active at once upon the target.

Fire: While effected by the Genjutsu, the target takes +10% Damage. The additional damage is considered illusionary.
Wind: While effected by the Genjutsu, bleeding damage is increased by 50%, the bonus damage is considered illusionary, unable to be reduced.
Lightning: While effected by the Genjutsu, the victims actions cost +10% Ap
Earth: While effected by the Genjutsu, the victim has a 50% chance of having reflexive Jutsu fail. Only one may fail per round, this causes the jutsu to cost ap and not cp.
Water: While effected by the Genjutsu, the victims actions cost +15% Cp.

8. Deflection - Abilities Card Purchase
- Partial hits upon the user are treated as misses. This does not overwrite effects which state partial hits are treated as full hits.
- Attacks which initially miss the user have a 10% chance of being deflected to a different target (does not stack with the previous note).
- Deflected attacks that target another victim are chosen at random and use the attacker's accuracy type with the user's accuracy secondary.

Special Action: For 1 AP, the user may choose to have a deflected attack target a victim of their choosing. This is done reflexively.

This was a rebirth. I was under the assumption that I didn't have to when I was swapping them via rebirth. I mean, if I have to write a 100 WC RP for them I can.

1) ”Chakra is king but it is just a tool. Tools that you can manipulate to your liking. Traditional jutsu scrolls incorporate utilizing these techniques with limits, even going so far as to label them by ranks determined by power. However, mastering a jutsu means that you understand that there is no limit.”

Those were the words that Shinn heard as he picked up his blade, sweat rolling down his chin as they descended to the floor below. He had been in the dojo, hours upon hours, shoving chakra into each strike as his blade whipped through the air. ”No limit. There’s no limit!” The boy yelled as multiple clones of himself appeared around him, all ready to attack him when he gave the command. ”I will master this!” Giving the signal, all of the clones descended upon Shinn as he stood his ground in the middle of the dojo. The expansion of lower level jutsu was obtained on that night.

2) Few shinobi these days believe in simple tactics and technique to subdue opponents. No. Nowadays, shinobi believed in big and flashy jutsu that seemed to eradicate everything in sight. Efficiency seemed to be on somewhat of downward trend with all of the cool kids opting for nukes instead of simple swordplay. Honestly, it was kind of disappointing to Shinn to see the very same people that utilized nature as their weapons, destroy it without remorse just to solve minor human issues. The young Akechi only utilized said techniques if need be. Shinn’s go to was debilitation. The arms that provide strength, the legs that offered the gift of speed, hands that manipulated nature, and the heart that served as the center of life. By crippling these vital parts, Shinn could win any battle or defeat any opponent. This was called shot.

3) Some shinobi had the ability to remove blades, weapons and pocky sticks from their pockets with ease. Sometimes, it appeared as if they didn’t even move their arms when they positioned the chocolate covered treats into their mouths… or removed weapons from their sheaths before slashing their opponents into oblivion. Shinn was one of these shinobi. He was the quickest gun in Sunagakure… so to speak. Just like anything else that was deemed special, it took plenty of work for Shinn to be able to utilize such an ability effectively. Hours of practice and the patience to learn through many failures was all that was needed. That simple…

4) Quick Reaction is an ability that describes a shinobi’s ability to read his opponents movements and strike after their less insightful foe misses their target. It requires a high level of intellect and almost requires that the person who masters it be the smartest person in the room. The power of the Sharingan coupled with such an ability could be a rather powerful combination if used properly. Making the first move during combat is traditionally seen as a way to gain momentum, and even catch foes off guard by taking initiative. However, Shinn takes the opposite approach. Defense is his specialty. Evading attacks and then punishing his foes for their mistakes is the staple in his offense.

5) Strategy. In the shinobi arts, it was simply the approach that one took to battle. From the day he had been born, Shinn always had a thirst for knowledge that he felt the urge to quell. Mostly, he filled his life with research and study, but lately he has had to use his skills for jobs that have been much more “physical.” Despite being relatively new to combat, Shinn’s intellectual mind simplifies battle by measuring opponents by their strengths and weaknesses, rather than illusionary characteristics such as intimidation or size.
“Your weaknesses are my strengths. Your strengths are my strengths.”

6) Initiative. Most would believe that the word simply means “to act first” or to use 1 AP that resolved in 0 AP time. Simply, both would be correct but Shinn incorporated strategy into the equation. It wasn’t just the ability to act first, it was the ability to act first when needed. Shinn believed in operating with decisiveness and efficiency. It was about opportunity; taking what was learned from the enemy and using it against them at the most opportune time. Timing was everything and it was what Shinn used to manipulate things in his favor. Ingenuity. Timing. Opportunity.

Initiative.

7) Genjutsu. A powerful weapon in the arms of a capable user. Genjutsu is the practice of mind warping jutsu that place strain on a combatant’s ability to fight, hindering their abilities to attack or even defend themselves. In short, it cripples the unlucky person that is forced to compete with a Genjutsu Specialist. However, Shinn begat n to question how he could somehow mesh Genjutsu and Ninjutsu together. What he came up with is the unique ability to inflict an illusion filled with a particular element. Filling his illusions with elemental energy further hinders an opponent’s ability to fight, and make things a bit more easy in comparison.

8) Deflection. Along with strategy, initiative and his affinity for an element that he developed, Shinn developed another a technique that incorporated rhythm, motion and the elements as a weapon. Instead of simply attacking the opponent, Shinn is able to bend an attack’s target and purpose before sending it back to the very person that used it. Defense is the best offense. It is a tagline that most of the Hyuuga clan tended to believe in. They believed in discipline, and remaining cool, calm and collected in the face of danger… all traits that Shinn had managed to adapt to. Defense was simply the man’s weapon of choice…

That and the Sharingan.

OOC: The RPs may not be all that great. No offense but I found it kind of tedious and wasn't able to put my all into it. Perils of being so busy I guess.
