Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

You never want to get caught offguard. If you do, bad things happen. Kunashi saw this firsthand when he witnessed his brother get mugged. He wish he was more prepared for the situation, he felt like he could've been able to do something to help his brother. 'It's better to have and not need, than need and not have.' A wise woman once told him that. Kunashi reflected, knowing this was applicable to him even more so now. When he and his brother were mugged, it was bad. But if he is unprepared in a ninja fight, he will die. Keeping this in mind, Kunashi meticulously prepares himself for the worst case scenario, always wary of the next attack. This time, he is ready.

[spoilername="RP"]Kunashi had noticed. Since his time in Kumogakure, he had gotten faster. Not only faster, but more agile as well. He had spent enough time with the wooden dummies to know when blows were coming toward him, and knew even more-so to avoid them, lest he was a glutton for pain. As he is not a masochist, Kunashi had devoted hours to avoiding this pain, and had become quite adept at dodging. Beginning with one, Kunashi spun the dummy with a punch, anticipating the blow from the other side. As he trained, he began to challenge himself, adding a dummy to the gauntlet whenever he would begin to feel comfortable. The wooden dummies would still hit him occasionally, but it was a rare event anymore. However, these dummies are linear, and easy to predict. He would enlist his fellow academy students to train with him, sparring with them to get a more unpredictable opponent. This occurred so frequently that Kunashi was able to add a few moves to his repertoire, throwing the occasional quick spin or cartwheel to avoid particularly tricky attacks. He was getting good, and he could feel it in his gut.[/spoilername]

Quick Reaction said:
[spoilername="RP"]As he grew more adept at dodging, he came to a realization. When his opponent missed an attack, they were vulnerable for a a second or two. It wasn't much time, but he knew that with training he could learn to exploit this opening. The first few attempts were futile, turning into nothing more than a blocked attack. However, as his time in Kumo advanced, so did his abilities. The first successful counterattack was against another Academy Student, one who he had asked to a sparring match. The opponent was unimportant, but his advancement was shown. As the boy threw a wild punch aimed at his head, Kunashi ducked under the punch and brought himself quickly back up, followed immediately by a jab to the stomach. The punch was hard enough to hit the boy's phrenic nerve, knocking the wind out of the child and doubling him over. Before he had even realized what had happened, the boy had lost the sparring match.[/spoilername]

Bull's Strength said:
[spoilername="RP"]Now that he was able to efficiently hit his targets, he needed to work on his power. Push-ups, weight training, punching bags, and running, there wasn't a thing that Kunashi would not do to train. Punching the bags until his knuckles began to bleed, Kunashi found himself inadequate. He wanted to make the bag sway drastically, like some of the older shinobi were able to. He wasn't satisfied until he was able to do so. Sustaining himself with efficient chakra use taught to him by his sensei, Kunashi spent many nights out training. Repetitions of push-ups followed by bicep curls, then to sit ups and squats, Kunashi developed quite an intense training regiment for such a young boy. However, it had paid off. As he stared down his rival, he brought his hands to his face, priming them as one would explosives. And explosive they were. With a full-forced blow straight into the center of the dangling bag, he was astonished. The bag had swung far back to compensate for the force it had just received, and had reached about a sixty degree angle before it came back toward him. Overcome with a sense of accomplishment and pride, it wasn't until later that he realized how much his forearm actually hurt from the punch. He had the power, now he needed the technique.[/spoilername]

Called Shot said:
[spoilername="RP"]His slight injury had sparked his interest. If an accidental, self-inflicted blow could hurt like that, what would it be like to target specific areas of an opponent? Reasoning in his own mind, he could use his strength and agility to hinder the opponent, and render him unable to fight back. So, with his arm in recovery, he went into research mode and searched the Bibliotheca Conscientiae in hopes to find something on human anatomy. With his past exploits in the library, he was familiar with the directory and looked for the Military Science section, in hopes to find some technical books on disarms and injury. After perusing the selection for a few hours, he had learned a few things. The quickest way to break the forearm is through the center, as apexes are the structurally strongest shape a bone can make, and your radius and ulna pretty much make one at the wrist. A lucky blow to the heart can cause an arrhythmia, causing the heart to flutter a little, or in more serious cases rupture and bleed. And without proper head protection, it only takes about 50 g's to cause a concussion. Now armed with the brains to back up his brawn, Kunashi felt ready for another fight, though his injured arm had a different idea, rest.[/spoilername]

Kunashi woke up. He bathed, he brushed his teeth, he put on his clothes. He strapped on his holsters and tied bandages to his arms. These bandages, though used initially for protection, have become a weapon in his arsenal, just as much as Kaishi, his tanto. Hell, he would argue even more so. Kunashi did not enjoy fighting, but when he had no other choice, he chose to do it with his fists. It allowed him to take advantage of the speed and agility Raiden had bestowed upon him. He saw other people using their fists as well. They sported all kinds of gloves, brass knuckles, and many other specialized handwear. None of that was necessary to Kunashi. He simply wrapped his hands in bandages. No need for gloves, they can be too constricting. No need for metal additions, they hurt to punch with. Bandages were lightweight and maneuverable. He could use them for first aid. They were expendable, he wouldn't worry if he lost a strand of them. They soaked up blood when they needed to, and whether or not it was Kunashi's was irrelevant. They were the perfect weapon for him, especially as a Seikon.

Defensive Technique said:
Seikon: a word Kunashi had just begun to use. Due to his training with Junko and Aiko, speed had become quintessential in his repertoire. All of his strategies, all of his attacks, and all of his techniques were fueled by it. Speed literally, and figuratively, ran in his blood. With it being so important to his fighting style, he had just recently realized that there was only one place it was not being utilized. In order to block, he would just brace himself for impact. He. among most others, did not enjoy being hit. Why would he just brace for the blow? It did not mesh with the rest of his style. He needed to figure out a way to incorporate speed into his defense as he had with the rest of his fighting style. He walked to a street vendor and bought a takoyaki, his favorite meal. With the food in hand, he found a nice, shady spot under a tree and began to think. What was the best way to improve his defensive strategy? He wanted to incorporate speed, as he knew it was his best quality. As he chewed the deep-fried rice ball, he thought back to his training with Aiko. He remembered warping to catch his sensei. That's when it hit him harder than an Akimichi who he had just called a fatass. You can't hit what isn't there. He would put emphasis on dodging attacks, and therefore be hit less. Win-win.

Shinobi 101 - Ninjutsu said:
Kunashi meditated frequently nowadays. His sensei, Tsuyoshi Aiko, taught him about how chakra was a way of life, not just a weapon. In order to be more attuned with himself, he would sit and focus for hours. Simply moving his chakra around his body, getting a feel for the energies that were inside him. Through his training with Aiko, he had found that he had a natural elemental affinity for lightning. As he worked on improving his ninjutsu skills with that element, it began to make him curious. He noticed that Aiko was able to use fire as well as lightning. If Aiko were able to use more than one, could he as well? With this question in mind, Kunashi found a serene field on the outskirts of the Ancient Forest and sat down. He focused inward, feeling and hearing the familiar sounds of sparks and electricity. Slowly fading those sounds out, he searched within himself for another feeling. Something he was not sure even existed, let alone what it would feel like. For a time, he heard nothing but the droning of electricity in the distance. He pushed deeper within himself, searching for places he had yet to explore in prior meditations. After a few hours of fruitless searching, he finally found something. Deep within his chakra coil, he felt an anomaly. This feeling was not the light, tingling sensation he felt with his lightning. This feeling was heavy and steadfast, not airy like the lightning. Bringing this feeling to the surface, he let the chakra manifest itself in the palm of his hand. When he looked down, he saw what seemed to be a pile of dirt and rocks swirling softly in his hand, as if blown by wind. He had found earth. Returning to his meditations and his core, he wondered what else he could find within himself. Mentally pushing back to the deepest levels of his chakra coil, he felt this third feeling. This one was much more complex than the earthen or electric chakras he had experienced. When he focused on this chakra, he felt a slight burning sensation mixed together with what seemed to Kunashi as a breeze. He attempted to separate the two forms of chakra, but they wouldn't budge. They would only move as a unit. This mysterious chakra kept avoiding Kunashi's focus, seeming to shove away from view. Drawing this chakra from the innermost parts of himself, he brought it once more to that same hand. However, this chakra was different than the earthen one he had just uncovered. This one was invisible, its manifestation strictly a force. Kunashi looked at his palm inquisitively, realizing that the depths of his power were still yet to be defined. Kunashi stood, sending his chakra back to his coil. He kicked the ground, forcing out earthen chakra. What had resulted was a shift in the formation of the earth from solid ground to a coarse gravel. Kunashi smiled. It seemed that Kunashi's secondary element was weak to his primary element. Irony. But, what was this third chakra? This solution of energies? Kunashi pointed his hand at the gravel he had just created, and exerted the force chakra in it's direction. Nothing came out, but the gravel flew as if it had exploded. He would have to ask Aiko about this later.

He sat back to the ground, and began to think. If this 'solution' of chakra was actually a combination, could elements be mixed together? This was uncharted territory for Kunashi. Up until today, all he had practiced had been learned from a superior. He was now delving into his own being and experimenting with himself. He swallowed nervously, and decided to try something. In one hand, he gathered electrical chakra. In the other, he gathered earthen chakra. He put his hands together, and mixed the two chakra between them evenly. He slowly separated his hands, unsure what he would find when he opened his eyes. He knew there would be something there, he could feel the chakras mixing together in the space between his hands. He opened his eyes. There was nothing. Confused, Kunashi began analyzing the chakra. He knew something was there, he just couldn't see it? Could it be invisible like his force-chakra? No, of course not.

As he kept wracking his brain for the answers, a leaf fell from the tree above him. It floated gently down, swaying in the breeze. The leaf was going to pass over his hands gently, when suddenly it shot to the middle point in his hands and levitated there. This confused Kunashi even more, but confirmed to him that there was, in fact, something there. He watched as the leaf bounced around the middle point of the chakra, seeming to defy gravity itself. That's when it hit him. Kunashi dissipated the chakra between his hands and stood up. He mixed the two elements at his feet, and jumped, exerting a constant flow of chakra from the soles of his shoes. He braced for the landing. It never came. Kunashi looked down. He was about six inches from the ground. He laughed excitedly and began walking in the air. After a few minutes, he dropped himself, landing on the ground. He quickly gathered his things and began running. This was something he had to show Aiko-sama.

[spoilername="RP"]Under the tutelage of Aiko-sama, Kunashi had begun his path to understanding his self through the understanding of chakra. As Aiko-sama said, "Chakra is not merely a tool, it is a way of life and part of your person." Kunashi took another breath in, holding it in his lungs and feeling the energy course through his veins. He understood the chakra system, and knew how it coursed through his body. However, as his training progressed he began feeling an anomaly in his chakra system, something that changed over time. As his experience with his own body grew, he began to explore this chakra. It was different than the Lightning and Earth which he was accustomed. It was also different than his Gravity, which he made by mixing the aforementioned two together. He wasn't sure quite what it was, but found that the anomaly occurred primarily in his extremities. During his meditations, he would constantly be intrigued by the chakra, and sometimes attempt to manifest it, but to no avail.

Until today. Today, during Kunashi's chakra training, he was able to force a small amount out. It was minute, but Kunashi felt a force push outward from the point he focused it. He opened his eyes, checking to see if Aiko-sama was nearby. When he found the coast to be clear, he stood up and attempted his manipulation once more. Try as he might, he could only get a very small amount. Saddened by this, he dropped his arms quickly to his side. The force of gravity on his side, he felt a sudden rush of chakra exude from his hand. When he looked down, he noticed a sizable divot in the dirt beside him. Intrigued, the boy brought his hand to a punching position. Giving a small punch toward a bonsai tree resting on a table nearby, he watched the leaves move slightly. Suddenly an idea came upon the boy.

He channeled his gravity chakra around his forearms, shifting gravity towards his hand. Readying a punch, he now aimed at the tree once more. He stood five feet away, ensuring he could not physically touch the plant. Punching at the air, he felt the gravity chakra push out this other unknown chakra from his fist. The chakra felt hot to Kunashi, something he was unused to. As his punch finished, he watched as the the table flipped on its side and the tree suddenly flew through the air and smacked against the wall forcefully. "How unfortunate," Kunashi thought, "I'll have to explain that to Aiko.. He loved that tree.."[/spoilername]

[spoilername="RP"]Bumps and bruises, scrapes and cuts. All stuff Kunashi had become used to by his second year in Kumogakure no Sato. He knew what they felt like, how to fix them, how to inflict them, and where to aim them. The throat was never a bad idea, one bad cut there and the opponent is done for. However, murder was not really a part of the job Kunashi looked forward to. However, if he neglected his job, innocents would get hurt, which would be even worse to the young Seikon. He preferred to hinder rather than maim. A few hard strikes to an opponent's legs would leave him struggling to move. The same to the hands and there goes the weapon he is so fond of using. The head? Well, nothing good comes from getting hit in the head. He also learned how to take a few hits. Though his propensity was to avoid the attacks, it was always good to toughen up the skin. Sometimes, your opponent is hard to dodge. Hell, sometimes he's impossible to dodge. It's sometimes best just to take the punch than to dodge it. Injury comes with the job, and luckily he found over time that he healed quicker. He chalked it up to good genes and training and moved on. Though he could dodge attacks, he found he needed to focus on a target to really get the full force of his fist into them. Though this may have left him a little blindsided to his opponent's allies, he would be able to track the sucker better, give him the ol' jaw rattler a little easier. He looked over his own arms. The physical training he and the other Kumo shinobi endured was rather rigorous. But, you got to work the best to be the best. His discolored arms were a mix of purple, yellow and red. Bumps and bruises, scrapes and cuts.[/spoilername]
