Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

An Eventful Night

A lone figure strolled along the main street of a small town. This person was Doi as he slowly walked back to his motel after the warehouse mishap. Volunteer firefighters ran passed him in droves as they made way for the blazing building. Its orange flames illuminating the dark night sky with its light. Doi had been running along the rooftops until the point where the town’s residents began to gather. He took the chance to hop down and adroitly blend in with the crowd. No one suspected a thing. A certain level of espionage acumen was expected of Cloud shinobi, after all; or more so shinobi in general.

Alas, after a brief stint of walking, Doi ultimately arrived at his motel and entered through the main door. The lobby was surprisingly stagnant and void of life. Whether it was because all the guests were either asleep or outside watching the fire fighters run about, Doi couldn’t tell. Slowly he walked up the steps to the second floor; clutching his room key all the while.

‘Room 51’ read the sign that designated his temporary lodging. A moment after inserting his key and opening the door, Doi found himself in small room. It had a bed, a small kitchen and a bathroom. All he really needed for his short tenure. Against the wall where all his things - the glider he’d rented back in Cloud, his Yen pouch, his clothing bag, all of it.

He decided to momentarily ignore all these things as he made way for the bathroom.

Doi took a moment to examine himself in the mirror. There wasn’t a scratch on him… or at least that's how it would appear to the untrained eye. A single hand sign revealed the juvenile’s true visage. A black eye, some small lacerations here and there, as well as hints of bruising. His clothing had ripped in multiple places. A deep sigh escaped from the teens lips as he turned on the faucet before him. Two hands under the running water, pooling the liquid and afterwards splashing his face. The events of the night playing back in his head.

Earlier…

A panting Doi faced down an equally tired Samurai Jack. They’d been fighting for a while and the teen had managed to claim victory over the other two members of the PYRAMID trio. They certainly gave teen some trouble with their antics, nonetheless. Both of their combat abilities were highly respectable. Mr. Maroon had a unique method of fire chakra manipulation and Average Joe specialized in some crazy martial arts. Any lesser shinobi would’ve found themselves in way over their heads.

“You sure put up a fight, Jack-san.”

“I’m not this Jack you speak of, boy.”

“Yeah, yeah…” Doi turned to look at the fallen forms of Average Joe and Mr. Maroon. They weren’t dead by any means, but they certainly wouldn't be getting back up soon. The teen made sure of that. “How does it feel to get pummeled by a teenager, Jack-san?”

“My name isn’t Jack.”

“This again?”

Samurai Jack rushed Doi with his wind element enhanced katana in hand. The teen ran forward as well, clad in his storm mail chakra armor.

Flashback end….

“That was more challenging than I thought it’d be,” Doi admitted to himself. The teen grabbed a nearby towel and dried his face. He knew he had to change out of his worn-out clothing and into something fresh after bathing. Scorched clothing had an unbearable smell to it.

A freshly bathed Doi sat on room's bed, staring at the necklace he’d confiscated from the PYRAMID guys. He held it by the string and gazed into its beautiful turquoise blue stone. There wasn’t much time for him to admire it back when he first snatched it. He had pull those guys out of the fire and quickly make his escape.

Doi considered the necklace to be quite the enigmatic object. What was its worth? Where did it come from? How did PYRAMID get their hands on it?

Most importantly, why did he feel drawn to it?

Question after question popped into the adolescent’s head. Doi put the necklace down on the dresser that sat adjacent to his bed, laid down, and closed his eyes.

It had been a long night and staying up until morning thinking wouldn’t do him any good.
