ANBU

The ANBU are the mask-wearing, secret operatives of Suna. The members within this branch refer to each other in code names and hiding their identity is of the utmost importance for their work.

Perks: OOC Access to ANBU free abilities // IC choice of specialized profession
Requirements: Must be at least Genin and cannot be a member of Main Branch (for the OOC benefits) or Medical Branch
Ranks: Ranks for banner will be ANBU in Training > ANBU > ANBU Captain

Specializations:

Counter-Terrorism and Defense

A shadowy defensive unit that supports surveillance at the gates, along with Main Branch shinobi, and works to protect the village from foreign and domestic threats. While some of their actions will either seem like or coincide with the work of the SPF, those within this specialization are not meant to apprehending all criminals. When the village is threatened internally, these masked individuals will more than likely be first on the scene to begin engaging the situation.

Acquisition and Extraction

Individuals in this specialization are skilled with the art of find or obtaining things, whether that be information, an item and/or a person. Members of this skill set work hard to efficiently and discreetly to complete their missions. This skill set also extends to a darker notion of extraction, and as such also serves as the field you would find those that excel at means of forceful extraction of information (torture).

Espionage and Sabotage

This field consists of those with the high ability to spy and destabilize. Some missions will simply be spying, gaining a certain set of information or item, while other times these individuals will need to destabilize the situation or sabotage it. These ANBU can find themselves getting caught up in a political and military discourse of a wide variety.

ANBU are not required to pick a specialization as this is an entirely IC aspect. Any ANBU, regardless of selecting a specialization or not, may find themselves performing tasks that might fall into any of these specializations, but those within the specializations might find themselves more called upon for certain missions than others.

Advancement from Genin to ANBU in Training (AiT):

• Be at least a Genin.
• Request an AiT Entrance Exam.
  • AiT Exams must be a modded exam conducted by a current ANBU or ANBU Captain.
  • If the player fails their exam the player must wait 2 OoC weeks before requesting a new exam.
  • The player must wait at least 2 OoC weeks since the completion of their Genin Exam before requesting their AiT Entrance Exam.

Advancement from AiT to ANBU:

• Must be ANBU in Training (AiT)
• Complete 2 C Rank ANBU Missions or ANBU [Post-Mission] Threads.
  • These Missions can be Modded or Self-Modded Team Missions or Modded Solo Missions.
• Complete 1 B Rank ANBU Mission.
  • This Mission can be Modded or Self-Modded Team Missions or Modded Solo Missions.
• Complete 1 ANBU [Class] thread
  • The character must be a "Student" in this class.
• Request an ANBU Exam upon completing previously listed requirements.
  • ANBU Exams must be a modded exam conducted by a current ANBU or ANBU Captain.
  • If the player fails their exam the player must wait 2 OoC weeks before requesting a new exam.
  • The player must wait at least 2 OoC weeks since the completion of their AiT Entrance Exam before requesting their ANBU Exam.
• Any AiT that reaches S Rank (OOC) will be automatically ranked up to ANBU

Advancement from ANBU to ANBU Captain:

• Must be ANBU
• Complete 2 B Rank ANBU Missions or ANBU [Post-Mission] Threads.
  • These Missions can be Modded or Self-Modded Team Missions or Modded Solo Missions.
• Complete 1 A Rank ANBU Mission.
  • This Mission can be Modded or Self-Modded Team Missions or Modded Solo Missions.
• Complete 1 ANBU [Class] thread
  • The character must be a "Teacher" in this class.
• Request an ANBU Captain Exam upon completing previously listed requirements.
  • ANBU Captain Exams must be a modded exam conducted by a current ANBU Captain.
  • If the player fails their exam the player must wait 2 OoC weeks before requesting a new exam.
  • The player must wait at least 2 OoC weeks since the completion of their ANBU Exam before requesting their ANBU Captain Exam.
