Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

With the retrieval of the vial, Kyo quickly tosses the vial over to Kobura, as that seemed to be who it had been intended for, and as such who would be receiving it. There were several more vials to go, at least the two that were being chased by the clones, while the others were on the back of spiders on the big mama one. When their teammate fell over Kyo paused for half a moment considering his choices, what mattered right now was the mission though, and while the others moved to help their teammate Kyo, as he did so he retrieved the blue vial from one of the clones and downed it, by shoving it up his masking, taking the top in his teeth and tilting his head back, it wouldn't due to have his abilities reduced at this point. The next step was simple, if reckless and dangerous. Kyo moved straight towards the mother spider with the small ones on her back, he trusted the antidote was working, he trusted in his defensive technique to protect him, and if need be he trusted in his ability to fight the beast if his ploy did not go as he intended. He made sure the others saw him wave for them to keep back as he went, it he didn't intend to harm them as well, but if they got to close it very well might happen.

The boy stopped some ways away, close enough for his footsteps to do their work, and stood stock still, focusing his chakra and preparing to fight if need be as he raised a single hand and held it out towards the Spider Mother, "I wish not to harm you and yours, I simply require the vials that have been placed upon your children. In return, I shall fetch you and fresh food to feast upon from the forest, Dire Squirrels, deer, and the giant ravens I've seen there. Unless there are other animals you and yours prefer. Otherwise, I must retrieve them forcefully." He spoke as he normally did, with out any infliction in his voice, his stance not change as he spoke, his hand still held out expectantly, though he was ready to spring into action if need were to present itself.

Haji grinned beneath his mask as the Hyuuga boy launched himself through the air and cut his gigantic peer free from the reeling grasp of the spider’s web. As the giant webbed boy fell to the ground below several knives sprouted from his shorts and the collar of his tunic which then pinned him to the wall momentarily before his weight caused his shorts to tear and rip until the gigantic young man was deposited relatively safely to the ground… minus his pants.

Haji’s eyes filled with tears as he stifled back a laugh, walking over to the comatose young man and draping him with a tarp that normally covered some of the equipment of the obstacle course. All the while he did that he witnessed the flipping and turning of the hyuuga boy as he was chased by thousands of baby spider lings, his hand snapping up a vial from one of them and then proceeding to run for his dear life.
Still Haji was amused greatly.

He was a bit disappointed in the Kobura girl however, she had done little but stare up into the spiders nest with her eyes. At first she had provided a much needed support to the team, but now she seemed to be frozen by indecision.
Then it happened. Shit hit the fan, and boy oh boy, was there a lot of it.

While he had been covering Iza and witnessing the knife tossing of Kisho and the acrobatics of Hoshi, Haji had missed the absolute worst case scenario event; Kyo had swallowed one of the vials.

”KYO STOP”

Too late. The boy had swallowed the vials contents and made his way to confront the mother spider with promises of an offering, which may have even worked slightly to calm the beast if he actually HAD anything to show her.

The Great Mother Spider simply hissed something out to Kyo. She could smell the deepening poison within the boy’s body and she did not bother dealing with the promises of one who would soon be dead.
He had specifically told them all that the vials would not produce an antidote purely on their own, but only when they had been combined together.

The Hachiashi brand poison was miraculously composed of both Myotoxins and Cytotoxins, Myo causing muscle necrosis whilst Cyto causing cellular destruction. Antidotes for such a complicated poison would be similarly complicated and when the makings of the antidote are taken out of context of their formulation they can fail, or worse, exacerbate the poisoning even further.
Haji really wished that it were the previous, but he knew better than that, and by Raiden he had wished Kyo had known better. By now the boy would be racked with unbelievable pain, his kidneys would fail soon attempting to filter out the toxins and then he would go into shock before the poison at him up from the inside out.

”Hoshi!” Haji roared once more ”Drop the vial, grab Kyo, and get down here NOW.” He pointed at Kobura and Kisho ”You two go help him, the spiders will not make this easy and there is not enough time for me to get them to back off.”
Haji pulled out five vials identical to the ones he had prepared for the students class and began to prepare the antidote within a sterilized basin. All six of his hands moved in a blur.

”Hurry up” Haji murmured beneath his breath.

[Hoo boy, this did not go where I thought it was gonna! Hooraaaaaay bahahaha]

Kyo had finally started to feel the effects of the poison, not realizing that he had made them much worse, for the second time in as many weeks his mind not focusing as it should have, him missing part of what the instructor had said to them. The boy remained impassive for those looking on as the pain started to wrack his body from within, his rock like skin doing nothing to protect him form the effects of the poison that he had ingested directly. As the pain grew in scope the boy started to loose control of the Chakra he had been gathering, causing it fluctuate badly, sending small tremors emitting from the boys standing position, growing in intensity as he continued to lose control. Kyo slowly began to back up, carefully as he could, wanting to speak out, but the pain causing his jaw to clench shut so tightly that he was unable to mutter a single sound other than a grunt. His skin began to chip away, falling from his body as he moved, eventually the boy stopped, it wasn't far enough, but moving any farther with the pain the way it was would cause him to loose control completely, he stood stock still where he was, legs locked into position, hands clenched into balls, finger nails digging deep into the flesh of his hands, jaw clenched so tight that he felt like his teeth where going to shatter and just held on the best he could. The tremors were getting worse all the while, as he continued to loose control of the chakra coursing through his body, down his legs, into the soles of his feet and into the ground.

Hoshi had the vial in his hand, but it seemed like Kobura froze in her tracks, much like Izanagi did but she didn’t appear immobile, thoughts raced inside the kids head about her, just what exactly was she doing getting cold feet at a time like this. Still he himself had no time to pause, in a matter of seconds, more and more spiders were converging onto the young ninja, at the same time the mama spider had hissed, and a sickening message was relayed to Shouyu via his clones. His clones caught sight of Kyo downing his vial and Hoshi’s jaw dropped.

Immediately his reaction was turning around and taking off to avoid getting caught up by the spiders, the mama spider seemed a bit aggravated as well. Beneath the mask his teeth was clenching, and sweat was becoming drenched on his forehead and sliding down his face in rapid streams. The poison was kicking in, he felt a bit heavy on his feet and delayed in reaction time.

In the distance Shouyu heard Haji’s call to Kyo but he had already knew, and now Haji was telling Shouyu to get Kyo. He had no time at all, but his clones, who were already on level ground with him sprang into action, two of them would rush to Kyo who was still and motionless. They each held his body evenly by holstering a shoulder around the neck and rushed over to Mempo gasping, but Shouyu’s fading energy caused the clones to disperse. Meanwhile Shouyu was kneeling attempting to catch his fleeting breath. His time too, was running short. But he wondered what the hell was going to happen now, since one of ingredients were missing, he soon would end up just like Kyo.

With vial in hand Shouyu jumped off the mama spider, dropping the vial and focused as much remaining chakra into his feet, up to his knees as he landed with a hard thump, some 15-20 yards away from Mempo. His eyes looked to Izanagi who had fallen from his pinned position, with no pants. He huffed, and puffed, looked at Kobura who was standing by Haji and made himself rise to his feet and slowly walk over to Haji. Shouyu would then also fall over, clutching his stomach as now each movement he made became difficult, with a rising pain throughout his body.

Kisho's aim was true. Each of his knives found their mark, pinning the falling and unconscious Izanagi to a wall. Lurking beneath his mask was a wide, twisted smile that twitched at the corners. Confidence spread through his blood, much like the ANBU proctor's poison. ‘I feel it coming,' he thought. ‘Non one will stop me! I will succeed!’ As he gloated, gravity finally finished swallowing Izanagi's body and claimed him for it's meal. The giant landed pantless on the ground, his underwear using a rare chance to boldly model Izanagi’s aesthetic.

Kisho licked his rapidly dehydrating lips, while looking toward Kyo. ‘How much time do we--?’ Sensei's voice cut off his thoughts immediately drawing his attention back to the mission. Kyo had stopped moving inexplicably, but what would make the masked teacher yell out? Was this a part of the class?

With no real time to deliberate, he sprung into action after his orders. “Kobura let’s go!” She too had frozen completely, just as Kyo had. “The poison must be making them do that,” he said. Panicking slight, Kisho threw a smoke bomb in front of them.

Smoke filling the room, Kisho grabbed at Kobura and made his way towards Haji, hoping the thickening cloud of smoke would hide their movements. Their situation had gone from good to impossibly worse. He hurried as he thought once again about the poison and what was happening to his teammates. His confidence wasn’t completely shot yet, but this were getting intense.

>Finishing post for Haji so the lesson is done, sorry for your wait guys<

The spiders did not move to attack the students anymore, and the small babies quickly returned to their mother now that the game was over. Hoshi passed out, weakened by the poison, Izanagi was still stunned and even Kobura seemed to have succumbed to the venom's paralytic components.

They were not the ones in danger, however, because Kyo was on death's door.

Haji's first priority was Kyo, and once he had finished carefully mixing the antidote from the six identical phials he had pulled from his pouch he moved quickly to scoop and pour a cup of the foul tasting liquid down the quickly dying boy's throat. Which four of his arms tended to the poisoned student, the remaining two hit the panic button on his headset. Luckily Haji was a damned good Anbu and had the good sense to have medical ninja pre-briefed on his lesson and its dangers before her began. They would know about the effects of his mucus poison, how to administer the antidote to the remaining three passed out and single standing student, and how urgent Kyo's condition was.

Maybe his lesson had been too much for five low ranked shinobi like themselves. He'd had high hopes for them too, and barring Kyo's mistake they had done well. He would need to review the results and decide the results later. When they weren't dying.

Once the Mednin arrived, and any information they required was given, Haji would silently stick around to help with getting Kyo and possibly the others to the hospital.

[Calling in Osu to deal with the imminent death, let him post first, as I'm not Haji I'd rather not post on his behalf again though so assume his actions in a positive light if you need. You guys can post one last time if you like and we'll see about getting you that double training ;D]

A feminine figure stepped out of the shadows sighing, while wearing his ANBU style mask bearing the mark of the medical branch. He hadn't expected the lesson to get this out of hand and thankfully had been paying attention. A couple medical clones went to take care of the less ill students while he went straight for the one who had for some unknowable reason drank an incomplete formula and placed a medical ward on them while examining their condition. As was proper he started using medical chakra to send small currents of electricity into the student's body to break down the toxins. Unfortunately for the student it was a common notion that System Shock was about as painful as the toxins themselves. And he kept at it a few times while also administering a bit of Euphorium for safe measure.

The voice Osu spoke with wasn't his but his sister's since he needed one for reference and didn't think about it much. There was only a small difference anyway but it was different enough they couldn't directly link the voice to him. Well not most people. Only three other people in the world really had that particular bit of knowledge. "When he wakes up tell him is body is going to be a mess for a few days and he will need to make sure he stays hydrated or he might die from the vomiting and diarrhea he will likely experience... Actually he is to report to the hospital, no arguments. I am sure whoever ends up treating him will give him a solid lecture."

Osu then walked over to check on the others that the medical clones were keeping in a stable condition as he expelled the toxins from their systems. Was there a less painful way of doing so? Of course. But it was very much a mednin trade secret that if you make the treatment completely painless, people were less likely to learn from their mistakes, particularly the young and hotheaded ones. So if their life wasn't really at a risk of death you purposefully left a little bit of sting in the mix by not numbing the pain much. It made people more careful. At first he had thought this line of reasoning was horrible, but after having to treat the same injuries on the same people so many times he had given in and acknowledged its effectiveness.

So while making sure they were completely healthy he at least made sure that for the next few days they would still feel miserable and achy. Confidence was always a good thing but it had to be tempered with good sense and acknowledgment of one's own weaknesses. "The rest of you are fine now. See your herbalist about pain medication and drink plenty of fluids."

Shouyu was assisted by a medical clone quickly, His vision was fading and he was quickly losing all motor skills. This poison was taking effect now and fast. He could feel the blood in his veins slowing and decreasing in pressure, his body getting weak. He tried to reach for Kobura and fainted before he started to feel some stinging tingle all through his body. It felt something like his lightning chakra, electric sparks revitalizing his cells and jump starting his system again, although, for every second being healed he would fidget.

The pain wasn't too bad, just more so annoying. He was able to open his eyes again, but felt immediately sore and didn't want to move. Now the pain was as bad as the toxins, but at least he was free to move and his vision and motor skills were returning. He'd roll over to the side slowly, and begin to push himself to all fours. Tiny sweat beads dripped from his forehead, he tried to catch his breath. Finally he was able to push himself up to a wobbly stand and listened to Osu's advice. But honestly, he just wanted to nap.

Shouyu looked to Osu, and his classmates, nodded and began to walk off. It was a slow trot, still hurt from the poison and medical techniques of the clone. He could be seen giving a thumbs up as he disappeared into village.

Kobura closed her eyes and it seem the poison was affecting her faster than the others, the entire time that the class was going on it seem as if she had drifted off into dream land. Before closing her eyes they seemed to glaze over no longer showing her pupils. She slowly collapsed to the ground still unaware of what was going on, her thoughts were of past memories. Shouyu and Izanagi appeared in these memories of them going on previous missions and the times that they had first met. Was she going to die in this world that seemed all to perfect but almost fake at the same time. She remained on the ground the entire time the class was going on, although previously she had been studying poisons she had quite a weak immune system against them which was one of the reasons she wanted to develop a defense against them and knowing them and ways to prevent events like the current one from happening.

Suddenly she opened her eyes upon hearing Shouyu's voice yell her name although she was unsure what he was saying she rose quickly to her feet, but was seemingly wobbly leaning to the left at first then falling to the right attempting to keep her balance. She then her Kisho yell her name saying "Let's go", but before she could even move she felt him pull her right along following behind him. She still didn't know what was going on but although it seemed like only seconds had passed she was sure more time had gone by seeing that there was another ninja here that wasn't before. What she saw last was Shouyu passing out as it seemed as if he was reaching for her, she then remembered the poison was in their systems and it seemed they all had been effected by the poison in some sort of way.

The ANBU masked and disguised Medical shinobi using his sister's voice that Hoshi wouldn't be able to identify stared at one young lady who seemed pretty out of it. He nodded for the clones to disperse and knelt down to eye level and shined a small light into her eyes to test her wariness.

"The poison should be mostly out of your system..." He lightly patted her cheek to try and make her more aware. "Hey can you hear me alright? Can you tell me what color snow, the night sky, and your eyes are in reverse order?" He didn't really need correct answers so much as answers at all. If she seemed well enough he would help her to her feet and help he set on her way. If not... well he could always toss her over his shoulder if it seemed like she needed to be dropped off at the hospital.
