Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Haru looked behind him, making sure all the students were close in tow. The last few days had been...hectic to say the least, almost even more so then during the Cabal invasion. Though he felt at least it was more productive...ever since the construction began he could feel he really was putting some effort into making life in the village better. There were other things to work on of course. Including the future generations of Shinobi. His classes soon after the invasion didn’t work out quite well, but he had a good feeling about the one now...especially since he had a few ideas how to make it a bit more interesting for his pupils. And besides, having a class outdoors would be a boon in itself.

He gathered the entire class in front of the academy gates, making sure there wasn’t any late appearance. He then started to lead them through the streets, slowly directing them toward the area of Project Rebirth. Making sure to steer the kids away from the heavier construction works he lead them forward, making sure to pay extra attention to make sure every student was following him. Soon enough heading out into the sunny desert, looking up to the sun with a wide smile. Even though he was on the surface a few times since the storm ended...he still loved to bask in the glory. Leading the class a bit further they ended dup in a more secluded part of the construction, material and tool's laying there for future use. Finally turning to the class he said "Well then everyone...for those who have not seen it yet, welcome to Project Rebirth...and welcome back to the surface!"

Shiroinu didn't know how to feel about an outdoor lesson. It's not that she didn't like being on the surface, her dad dragged them up there enough times since the Wyrm Flu became a threat, so she was used to the heat and winds at least. But being so used to faux lighting made being in the actual sun, any time before twilight, grating on the eyes. The shadow of her hood wouldn't even help because Aoi decided to use it as his own sun deflector and blanket by take residence on top her head. She sighed while silently hoping this wouldn't be a too active lesson, considering this guy is known as one of the... nicer instructors. Yeah, he's pretty much a saint compared to others in the majority of schoolyard rumors.

As far ass he knows he hadn't intentionally tried to send any of his students to the hospital... probably.

While following along with her fellow classmates she took note of the construction's progress and wondered how long it would take before they'd need security to keep the occasional wandering vagrants out. She really didn't understand what the point of rebuilding up here was when it was only going to look like their homes down below, maybe with a bit less stuffy for the first few years. Looking back at the teacher, she personally thought he was way too chipper about being out when it was so annoyingly bright everything had it's own personal glare. She stopped in time with everyone else, a little miffed that the puppy now taking all of her shade was also napping while she had to suffer through this. Well, it could be worse, and ninja should be able to handle a little bit of sun anyway.

Who knows, Haru might even have something fun in store for them.

Karasuba was buzzing with excitement literally as arcs of lightning chakra coursed up and down her body causing her classmates to move away from the Santaru student before they got a nasty shock. It couldn't be helped though since this was Kara's first proper time going to the surface since the bunkers had been opened and the village reclamation programme had started. "Oh I can't wait to see the sun and feel the sand on my feet." Kara said excitedly to herself as she followed her teacher up to the surface.

At first Kara was blinded by the brightness of the desert and felt her bare feet burn slightly as she stepped onto the baking sand but after a moment her eyes adjusted and she welcomed the warmth on her feet that was so different from the cold floors of the bunker. Karasuba's excitement only further increased as she marvelled at the construction sites they passed showing that the village was re-joining the surface and hopefully reconnecting with other nations after being alone for so long. When the group finally stepped into a secluded construction yard all Karasuba could was run to the front of the class so she could hear what their sensei was going to say and get a good look at everything. Sadly though that also meant she passed a few power tools and many normal tools that were either powered up being the living amp that had walked by or magnetised enough they trailed in the sand after her at a gentle pace. "Wow this is amazing! The wind feels so nice." For a moment Kara just enjoyed the breeze unaware of the effect she was having on those around her.

Shinen was excited. After his lesson from Shiori sensei, he was looking forward to his first official class. His last experience was survival, and now, he gets to learn more in depth of what he needs to know to be a shinobi. With the lessons, he can learn more about himself, and what his potential is. When His class arrived at the secluded area for the outdoor lesson, he introduced himself.

"Thank you, Sensei. I am Kamatazi Shinen. While many people look to become a shinobi simply to do their part for their village, I plan on restarting my life. To do my part to help the village, as well as to help others as a shinobi, that is a perk. The strength, the power, the special perks of a shinobi mean nothing more than a new start in my life."

Shinen glanced over at the other students. He noticed their looks of confusion and fear.

"Let's just say I don't like my living quarters with my parents...constant arguing, abusive fathers. I am miserable there. In fact, I spend my time in the library studying, just to stay away from home. I found the Academy, and I find it to be a way for me to restart my life. I look forward to the lessons, and to be able to move on and improve my life. I look forward to working with everyone."

Shinen went to the nearby corner, and just leaned on the bricks that are tall enough for a wall. He was still close by, he just liked to be isolated and in the partial shadows (in this case, shade). His new sensei seemed to be both concerned and intrigued by what Shinen said.

As the class assembled it would seem all of the students were accounted for...at least all of those which were in the class on time. Harupia took a deep relived breath seeing the younger citizens of Suna, all training to become a part of the Shinobi forces. All of them safe after the events past, some he saw for the first time, some he had already taught for quite some time. And while some seemed to be a bit careful with coming out into the surface, seemingly on of their firsts times outside, he guessed that it was better to start adapting sooner than later. At least some of them seemed to be bursting with energy... upon closer inspection, literary. He had heard some of the students fusing in the back but he just chalked it up to them just being...well, still kids. But as they came by the construction area, the complaints about their friends "shocking them" made bit more sense.

As Shinen introduced himself to him and perhaps the rest of the class, Haru noticed some of the electric tools starting to run awry as one of the students past them. Before they could do any major harm he outstretched his hands towards them, several streams of sand erupting from the ground towards them, and catching them, waiting till the power discharge causing them to go haywire dissipated. As Kara mentioned the feeling of the wind, he turned to her with a small chuckle saying "It seems you excitement has been spreading around..."some of the sand also moving to stop the objects which were trailing behind here before he moved them all back on their place with his sand. That was a...peculiar display to say the least.

Turning back to the rest of the class, seeing that the boy who gave the little speech decided to move away from the center of attention. That seemed a bit odd given his...rather personal confessions seconds before. Seeing some of the students whispering about either the display or the electric tools, and noting one particular hooded boy looking towards Shinen, he let out a cough as he spoke up "Thank you for the introduction Shinen. Seeing how this is the first time I having class with you, it was quite welcome. Now, I see several faces I don’t quite know. I don’t know your stories, whether you came here because you wanted to be here, you were told to be here, or you perhaps didn’t see any other choice but to come to the Academy. But I’ll be sure to try and make the time spent here worth your while. My name is Sunaku Harupia, and I’m glad to be your teacher" he finished with a wide grin.

He then summoned the sand he used to move the tools earlier to his side, coiling them in a mist like formation around his legs as he spoke "Now, some of you may have noticed the tools here have been acting...strangely. It can happen sometimes when someone tried to manipulate electric energies around him. Its noting different then the way I bend sand to my will. So, as I see many faces I’m not familiar with, let me ask you a question: How much do you know about Chakra?"

Mft, Wc= 546

"I have read a bit in a scroll at the library. Chakra is the source of a ninja's power, which enables them to use Ninjutsu as well as Genjutsu. The more you train using it, the more control one will have using their chakra, and the more they can use. However, if one overuses their chakra, one can potentially die, if not simply pass out from exhaustion." -Shinen from his corner.

Shinen noticed the look his new sensei gave him as he walked to the corner. Shinen did have the center of attention for a moment, but he didnt care for the center of attention. He simply introduced himself and gave his interests as a shinobi. Afterward, Shinen simply wanted to be where he was comfortable for class. The sun was hot, and Shinen wasn't used to the heat, let alone he was in dark clothing so the heat could potentially cause him to overheat if he wasnt careful.

While the class was looking at him, Shinen simply just focused on Harupia sensei. He knew the class wasn't really impressed, but rather some were looking to keep focus to learn. The ones who already knew, or didn't care, and looked, simply made it look as though they were paying attention, or were ready to correct if any information was wrong. "I will admit, There may be information that is off, or even exaggerated. I welcome any corrections, as I am here to learn and get better." He said as he just leaned on his wall.

Shiro had no problems with keeping her distance from the electrically charged girl, not that she tried to hide her snickering when one of her other classmates were shocked after getting too close. Beyond a few sideways glances every so often at the others and keeping a wide berth between herself and the power tools when she noticed they were trying to come to life, she kept to herself about as much as the rest. That was until Shinen spoke up, his introduction of why he was here almost obligated her to give him a blank stare. Not even a confused stare, just a weirdly contemplative one. The snoring pooch on her head may have ruined the effect a bit but that didn't matter in the long run.

She blinked as their instructor made a not-so-subtle noise for everyone's attention. She turned, forgetting about the black haired boy for now as the man gave them his own introduction. When he asked about what they knew, before she could speak up, Shinen took up the question first. The young Inuzuka wasn't sure what to make of that kid but she cleared her throat to speak up after him, "I remember was told Chakra's made when physical and... uh, mental? -No, spiritual energy was combined. Each person's chakra is different and takes a lot of time and training before it can be controlled properly. An'..." She taps her temple trying to remember one last thing, "Oh yeah, Taijutsu doesn't need chakra. And something about handseals." She shrugged after saying handseals, she never paid any attention to that part because it seemed rather useless when Tai and weapons were an option. But then, she didn't listen long enough to hear why they were important.

"Pretty much all l I know." Shiro started rubbing her eyes; why did the sun have to bounce off everything out here?

Kara blushed at her teachers words in embarrassment when he spoke about the problem she was having with her chakra, as if she was consciously doing it but sadly that wasn't the case as Santaru are living electrical generators and strong emotions like anger or in this case excitement can cause them to spark and supercharge their environment. Thankfully Kara's embarrassment tempered her excitement enough that the sand encased tools would not reactivate from the charge in the atmosphere and Kara would simply make people's hair go on end when they got with in arm's reach of her. Ignoring the sparks running up and down her form Kara fought down her blush and listened as the other students gave their answer on what they knew about chakra. "Um something that I'm finding hard to control lately." Kara said with a weak chuckle. She was never one of those people to sit down and read a book since she was a little hyper so she didn't have a clue what chakra was beyond what the applications were for it.

As other students gave their own answers Kara took the opportunity to look over her classmates. Most kids were pretty normal except for the boy who had answered first. He was dressed in a manner that said he wanted heat stroke and wasn't going to be happy until he got it. Other than that he seemed to be avoiding attention as much as possible. The other student to stand out was a girl with a puppy on her head and that was as far as observation went as she stared at the cute bundle of fur.
Squealing internally Kara wanted nothing more than to cuddle the puppy but knew she would just shock it by accident if she gave in to the impulse. Instead she just stared at the puppy with stars in her eyes figuratively while her bare feet shifted from side to side as if she was struggling to stay still. She was so super focused on the dog she had completely forgotten to introduce herself to the class.

His question was met with a few whispers at first but soon enough he gained a few satisfying answers, including the young lad who was now standing back from the crowd, as well as a girl...who he just noticed had a canine companion along with her. Now he knew that she was from the Inuzuka clan, and that separating their companions from them at a young age was quite detrimental to their health...he still hoped the pup wouldn’t cause to much trouble. The girl who was causing the disturbance in the appliances around them replied to him as well which caused him to mentally slap himself on the forehead... probably pointing out a student’s slip up wouldn’t serve their self-esteem. Though she seemed pre occupied with the puppy, so he guessed he didn’t do that bad for now. It was clear the girl had an unusual power in her veins...something he could obviously relate to.

Sneaking his hand under his robes he said towards the class "I see some of you are quite eager to learn out of class as well...very good. What your friends said here is of correct...for the most part. As you can see...here" he said stepping to the side as he held a scroll in his hand, preforming a quick set of seals and summoning the contents of the scroll out into the world. Which consisted of a class sized drawing board, and drawn on it already a somewhat simple overview of how Chakra flowed through the body, as well as all the existing hand seals, and a select few combinations of said seals. It also created a stack of papers which Harupia held onto as he spoke on.

"Now, saying Taijutsu doesn’t use Chakra is somewhat inaccurate. While it does relay mostly on your pure physical strength and you stamina, you can benedict greatly by using chakra to enhance you attack. And regardless, a true Shinobi should focus on training both his body and mind, even if he tends to be particular favored in using one over the other. Now when it comes to hand seals, they are not needed to preform taijutsu techniques...Though I guess you could consider a closed fist a form of a hand sign" he attempted to joke slightly as he said "With enough training, one can minimize the need for seals when using Jutsu...and some Shinobi have the capability to control the elements without using them" he pointed out, emphasizing it by using the Sand Clone without using his hands. He passed the stack of papers to the clone who moved towards the class as he spoke "Still, even the most skilled Shinobi will need to use them for the most advanced techniques. And even if you prefer using a weapon or your fists, it always pays off to learn any sort of Jutsu to complement you attacks. And that is what I want to try and teach you today. And we'll start by seeing what element resonates with you the most."

The clone past each student, passing them a stack of blank paper as well as a small cheat sheet with all the seals written on the board as Haru spoke "I’m sure some of you might have heard about them before, but the blank cards you receive are used to gauge a person’s natural chakra affinity. So we will have a small exercise now. I want you all to take the peace of paper, and try to fill it with you own chakra. I want you all to focus deep down and try to the power residing in you. Try and imagine an activity which makes you feel excited, happy, and you should feel a spark deep inside of you. If you try and move the spark towards your fingers tips, we can see what kind of nature your chakra has. That includes you my dear" he mused stepping a bit closer to Mihane as she received her paper "I know the answer might seem obvious to you, but the type of power your trying to control is a bit more...advanced. Knowing the basic affinity of ones chakra goes a far way in helping them control their inner power in general" he said with a smile as he watched the students attempting to make the chakra papers work in their fingers.

Shinen attempted to focus his chakra to his fingertips the moment he heard the goal. He failed, of course, as he was too confident in his abilities. mentally, he face-palmed himself. Shinen knew that he couldn't be too confident in one's own abilities, that only leads to failure. He only assumed that he wasn't thinking properly. Shinen looked at the board summoned and studied the description of chakra closely. After a moment, he looked at the different hand seals and studied those.

After a moment, Shinen reminisced about his fight with his red haired, crazy sensei from his first lesson. He remembered using the sand clone jutsu, even when they were poor versions of himself (obvious clones). He was completely tired due to the fact he wasn't ready for the clones, and it took so much chakra. He read the jutsu from a scroll he found on the road on his way to that lesson, so he didn't have time to practice the Jutsu. After the reminisce, he looked at his body. Shinen still had bruises from that lesson.

Shinen attempted a few more times to focus the chakra to his fingertips, but still had no success. Finally, on his 6th attempt, Shinen was successful. Shinen saw sand spin like a tornado above his paper. Shinen grinned, not out of confidence but out of happiness. Shinen looked around at his fellow students. He noticed at least one student was struggling. "Would anyone like any help? I can either help you understand the process, or at least give you a tip." Shinen may want little attention, as he wasn't very social, but he considers his fellow students a part of his team, as they work with the same goal, even if individually. He knew, to work together for one goal, they would all accomplish that goal as a team.

It was as easy to tell someone was staring at her as it was to ignore, made even easier knowing the object of attention was the canine on top her head. Aio on the other hand stayed unaware of anything happening around him and would stay that way until something woke him up. A fact that Shiroinu found perfectly acceptable for the time being. She wasn't very eager at the prospect of hovering around a someone that could electrocute her by accident.

After listening to Harupia's brief lecture, and internally groaning at his joke, she took a sheet from his clone and started focusing on something that made her happy and excited. Her first thought was food, then rows of hot fresh food just waiting to be eaten. The end result was her stomach growling in anticipation for that imaginary buffet and not much else. Without hesitation she switched her thoughts to something else, which was trying to figure out what else made her excited and happy.

Before she could reach a conclusion on her thoughts, the overdressed boy spoke up once again, this time offering help even though he... somehow made a mini-tornado? Knowing what was supposed to happen just left her confused on how he even managed that. "Uh, I'm pretty sure that's not how this works..." Her eyebrow perked slightly as she examined the board, "See, something's only supposed to happen to the paper."

Shiro's movements stirred her furry companion back to the world of the living, but he didn't look like he was leaving her hood until they were back underground. His attention was focused on the electrofide girl, more because he was interested the girl's occasional sparking than anything else.

Regarding the more important topic, Shiroinu closed her eyes and focused on something besides food that made her happy. After a few seconds the end result was her paper cutting in half like a blade ran through it. She examined it, then looked back up at Shinen, "K, I think I like your version better."

The lesson was moving on at a comfortable pace now as Haru began to explain about chakra and what could be done with it. Unfortunately Kara herself was still staring at the puppy with a look that said she wanted nothing more than to cuddle the little ball of fluff or maybe eat it since it was a pretty intense look. She was oblivious to the owners discomfort at her proximity and missed most of the explanation on chakra as well as the other students attempts at channelling with chakra paper but her attention was finally taken by her sensei when he stepped up next to her with her own sheet and some encouraging words. The blonde battery blushed in embarrassment since she had no idea what they were supposed to do until she noticed that underneath the dog was a girl who had already completed the task. Taking her sheet from Haru she gave him a small smile and a nod as she turned her attention to her paper.

Holding it up Kara prepared herself for her first attempt at channelling her chakra when she once again sparked which provided enough ambient chakra through her system to set the paper off causing it to crinkle in on itself. Surprised by how easy it was Kara turned to her sensei to ask what this meant when all of a sudden the paper turned wet in her hand and quickly fell apart. "Eh! What happened?" Not realising that her bloodline gave her natural access to storm elemental chakra Kara quickly spun around to Haru. "Sensei! Am I broken! No one else's paper did two things so I must be!" At this point Kara was making a little bit of a scene as she put her hands on her head and started spouting off nonsense like her chakra was messed up or that her control was so bad she broke the paper and so on which would have continued had she not noticed that the puppy was awake and staring at her. Moving so quickly that sparks trailed behind her Karasuba shot over and began cooing over the puppy by saying how cute he was and so on completely forgetting about what happened a minute ago.

Haru observed the class carefully, the familiar image of students trying to move their chakra through their bodies, sometimes for the first time, and trying to learn their elements. He had spent the time moving closer to the students who were having difficulties, while also offering praise to those who got it right. Eventually he reached the boy who spoke up earlier along with the Inuzuka girl who he noticed didn’t quite enjoy his humor (not something that surprised him to much) Both managed to do something...though Shinen was a bit more unusual. At the girls comment he would say "What you friend here is a bit more...unorthodox, but I feel it show's a similar result. Both of you have an affinity for the element of wind...though you are making a current around the card, rather then pouring the energy towards it. What you did will prove useful alter, but it’s good to be able to divert chakra into any body part you use. After all, it’s fun to run up walls, is it not?" he said with a quick wink.

His focus was diverted as he heard a panicked voice, the girl from before seemingly having an unexpected result with her card. He was trying to scramble words to calm her down, luckily he was aided by the great powers of daaw, the Inuzuka puppy managing to calm her down. Coughing a bit to hopefully gain her attention he would say "Now Kara, you don’t need to worry...Yes, what happened was unusual, as is the fact you made some of the tools bounce around. It seems that you are naturally adapt in not one but two elements. Something which can come either with training, or naturally due to your families blood, just like my families ability to control sand. Though such a talent still needs a lot of training to have your power under your control. But I’m sure once you get the grasp of it, you’ll manage to do spectacular things with you power" He said with a assuring smile.

As he looked around the class and saw most of the students managed to perform their part he then said "Alright now, gather before my kids. And when you come here, please try to stand in groups according to the element that your cards have shown you. Kara, you can stand with those with lightning or water as their affinity, this might show us just what is the strong element of the two under your fingertips" he commented, while the clone shuffled to his side, stating to collect some of the unused steel beams and setting them up in a far of corner, away from the workers. This part usually had the students a bit more enthusiastic.

Shinen came out of his corner. He went to where his sensei appointed him for the next stage. He was curious one what Sensei Harupia had in stall for them next, but he didn't bother asking as he knew they would all be informed. Shinen couldn't help but smile for the next stage. Shinen focused at the clone, trying to figure out the task on his own, but no matter how many things went through his head, there were simply no specifics to determine the actual task. So instead he waited for further instruction. In the mean time, Shinen closed his eyes, and focused on his surroundings, listening to the wind, feeling the very earth beneath his feet, even the warmth of the sun. It felt as though Shinen was feeling the very essences of the natural environment around him. Once Sensei Harupia spoke to inform the new task, Shinen came out of focus to listen to his sensei.
