Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kiri blows warm air into his hands. He could see the faint traces of mist waft through as he takes a moment’s break. He was wearing his winter coat, a navy blue overcoat over his usual vest and dress shirt. Frankly, it would be enough to keep him warm, just as the blue scarf hangs wounded around his neck. He would then place the herbal cig back in between his lips and takes a few breaths. Remembering the mission at hand, Kiri would begin to walk further into the mountain pass.

From the reports he got in the hospital, there was the missing package about the medical records from the monks in the monastery. He had herd of those monks and their hermetic lifestyle often meant they would avoid going to the village for the annual check-ups. However, since those monks were significant in the culture, heritage, and the martial arts history of Kumogakure, it was some sort of responsibility for the village to look for them in the smallest ways possible. But alas, the messenger was targeted by some bandits in the area, probably in the hopes of getting some valuables. Then again, weren’t medical records valuable? But perhaps they may have thrown those documents away.

In any case, it was now Kiri’s job to ascertain the fate of the package and make sure to retrieve them all and in one piece. So he would walk for days, climbing the mountain pass and checking every nook and cranny that the geography had to offer. If anything, he might end up getting ambushed by those bandits as well. That would be far better, in his opinion, as it would mean less work on his part. But it would also do him good to search for any clues.

And that somehow brought him to a more misty side of the mountain. Here, where the wind slowly passed through the ridges, bringing with it the cool breeze and fog from the long coursing rivers below, Kiri would come across voices in the distance. He presses against the rock surface and carefully moves, allowing himself to converge his chakra into his shadow, stealthily covering his being. He would most swiftly and crouch by a rock as he sees a faint light. Going closer, he would find an entrance to some cave along the side of the mountain.

Hearing the voices once more, Kiri was now certain that these were the bandits. So he crept towards the entrance and melded with the shadows, entering the vicinity with ease. Inside, he would find a group of at least a dozen bandits, seemingly pacing around while conversing. The gist of their discussion wasn’t too interesting aside from when one mentioned about the medical records. At those words, Kiri instantly began to plan his moves as he knew it was now his top priority to retrieve those records as he has confirmed their existence.

He spent a few moments to observe those around before he finally detailed his plan. With his trainings recently, he had gotten more accustomed to careful planning and the utilisation of his shadow jutsu. It was a long time coming, and perhaps more to come in terms of constant training, but he had made progress recently and so he would just apply it. First off, he would send out his shadow needles technique to claim at least half of those in the room, clinging onto their legs and immobilising them. Once alerted, the others would quickly draw out their weapons. However, Kiri had already foreseen this and he was already letting out his chakra as the demonic aura took over. A roar escaped from him, sending a tremendous wave of energy in the form of a shockwave that completely engulfs the area. Some of them would feel the heaviness in their movements, if not a feeling of hindrance. At that point, Kiri would rush into the scene, getting their attention and avoiding their assaults as easily as it was counting.

A jump into the air before he let loose a wave of shadows that would pierce the bandits in place. He wasn’t meaning to kill them all. Just incapacitate them. And that would open up the way for him to reach the package. Almost immediately, he would turn back and send one final jutsu, a genjutsu where the bandits would begin to hallucinate in a thick red fog, where thoughts of failure and desires of inflicting wounds to themselves would arise. It was the perfect move to get some cover. Putting the package into his sling bag, Kiri would then dash in between the brewing chaos around the cave, dodging any strikes that would have blindshot him, before leaving through the entrance completely. He would leave them as is, and perhaps when it was all over, they would think that everything was simply a terrible nightmare.

As for Kiri, with the retrieval of the package, he would quickly make his way back to the village and hand it to the one waiting by the gates. He would then have to pick up on where he left off and return to training with Junko.
