Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Becoming a Superb Shinobi [Class|Open]

There it was, the branch Ritsuko had forgotten about. The anbu, it sounded kinda fascinating. She listened closely after all what the teacher had to say. It was also good to learn about what the main branch was. Now she had a little more knowledge about it all. The question about, why we wanted to become a shinobi, it brought both pleasant and unpleasant memories up, she shaked her head, to get the memories to go away.

She cleared her throat, and raised her hand. She didn't wanna stand in front of people when she was telling this, she didn't want people to feel bad for her, she wasn't the self-pitying person, and she didn't want other to have pity for her. "I think i have two reasons why i wanna become a shinobi, one of them is that my parents passed away 3 years ago, i was younger back then, and weaker. I watched both my parents get killed by some robbers, that's why i have this" she said and pointed at her eye patch "they just pushed me away and i got broken glass in my eyes, so i want to become stronger, i don't wanna be weak anymore, and i believe this is the way to become strong" She already felt like she was trying to get pity, but she really wasn't, it wasn't much better standing back here, than in front of the class, all of the students just turned their heads to see her. She cleared her throat again.

"The second reason is that my older brother which is 3 years older in me, started at the academy last year, that was when i wanted to be a shinobi too" She shaked her head finishing the sentence, and sat down right away. She hoped none of the students would hate her for talking about this in front of them all. She just pointed her eyes at the blackboard, and hoped that one of the other students would begin to talk soon.

Hideki listened to Sensei's words... It was just like what he thought! He was wrong on a few things and there, but he understood the base line of the Branches. He would make sure he would go home and study more about them. Though he didn't think he could study the ANBU branch, because it's a secret and all. He was pretty sure there was a book on the Main Branch lying around the bar somewhere. And on his way home Hideki would just buy a book on the Medical Branch.

Hideki was amazed by Sensei's mask ANBU jutsu! He also couldn't believe Sensei use to be a ANBU! To Hideki's knowledge, his father was a Main Branch Ninja. Hideki himself hadn't chosen on which branch he would go for. It wasn't Medical branch for sure, not like he had anything against that branch it was just not his thing. So it was either the Main Branch or the ANBU Branch. He would be put in the Main Branch once he graduates from the Academy, but that doesn't mean he couldn't join ANBU if he wanted too or not.

Hideki loved how Sensei's crimson like red eyes peered at him and his fellow students. It was like he was looking directly into Hideki's soul! It made Hideki feel a bit safer that some Ninja out there was watching his back while wearing a funny(but cool looking) animal mask out there. Sensei made it seem like the Medical Branch was really important. He wished he knew someone who was a med nin. Maybe he could get an older shinobi show him the ways of a medical ninja. The current circumstances Hideki had go through, that idea seemed pretty far out.

Hideki was again amazed that you have to be chosen to become a ANBU. It made him want to try even harder to be chosen! Hideki was determined to become stronger so he could be like Sensei and protect the villagers of his city without ever needing a thanks or glory! It seemed like a really noble job to do. Hideki would assume that his Father would be proud of him if he joined such a noble branch. If he could tell his mother he was a ANBU she would be proud as well. But since they are so secret he couldn't hope ever telling her.

Hideki beamed with excitement as Sensei asked the question he was waiting for his whole life.

“Now you know who we are, how we are, and why we are. But I want to know. Why do you want to become a shinobi?"

Hideki shot up from his desk soon as the other girl finished her sentence. He a gigantic grin on his face as he said, "I want to become a Shinobi, because I want to protect the people who can't protect themselves! Be the strength for the people who have none! Be the burning hope that drives each and every person in this entire village to keep on going!" Hideki was breathless by the time he finished for some reason. Hideki didn't fully believe in his own words yet, but one day he will prove to himself and every one else that he will be a great Shinobi, just like his Father.

Hideki sat back down, and soon realized he just shouted at Sensei and didn't even raise his hand.... His cheeks once again turned red as an apple as he was a little embarrassed by his out burst. Hopefully the other students wouldn't snicker or laugh at his very cliche reason to become a Shinobi. And even if they did he would still be proud in himself for actually speaking. He lowered his head on to the desk his bangs dropping back in front of his eye. Maybe this day isn't that bad after all.

ANBU, thought Yuki. Amazing. Simply amazing. To be chosen for such a special branch... It must be such a special honor. And to think that their teacher was one of them. They were truly learning from the best, then. An excellent first lesson for Yuki, then. There was something captivating about that mask. It was simple, yes, but Yuki could not tear his eyes from it. It was only when the mask dissipated that Yuki shook his head and turned his mind back to the lesson. He noted the explanations of the various branches. This information might serve him well in the future. Knowledge was power, after all, and who knew if it would be on a test or not.

But the next question made Yuki hesitate for just a moment. Why did he want to be shinobi? Now that was a hard question. Tsukino Yuki was a boy who had no ambitions until he met that shinobi in his family's inn. But ever since listening to those stories, he had known what he wanted. He still remembered that moment, the moment he listened to that shinobi's tales all wide eyed and awestruck. It had been a moment of boyhood wonder, a fantasy. One that he was keen on pursuing. He'd begun training himself. His mind, his body. Even in the cold of winter he trained. He was set on it. But why? He had to answer that question now. His heart beat unevenly, and he felt a chill in his core. His eyes fluttered over the room, observing as the others answered. To become stronger? To protect? More reasons than he had. Yuki lacked purpose. He had always lacked purpose. A greater one. How many years had he been slaving away in his uncle's inn, living hollowly from day to day? His entire life. He'd never known anything else. And Yuki was tired of it.

He cleared his throat, finally ready to speak. "I... I want a purpose. Becoming shinobi is the only real one I have."

Yuki swallowed as he had this revelation. His heart ached.

"I want to give myself over to something. I want something to fill the empty spaces."

This last part of the class was what Shigeru was anticipating the most for the duration of the entire class period. He wanted to know why this new generation was taking up the shinobi mantle. When there were so many different jobs, lifestyles, and things to do, Shigeru always wanted to know why someone choose to subject themselves to this painful life. Shigeru knew why he did this, and he would not stop for those reasons. However, as he stood and listened to his students, Shigeru felt a new kind of conviction grip at his heart. Some of these students had such compelling reasons to have embraced this life, and those few balanced out the many that had nothing to say at all. The ones with nothing to say were the most concerning indeed, for those without a reason would all too predictably fall off their training too easily.

Shigeru looked into the eyes of each student that he had made a connection with during the class and gave them a knowing look. “Being a shinobi will test you in ways that you cannot begin to understand; it is far from the easiest lifestyle you could have chosen. However, if you stick to it, this will be the most rewarding thing you could ever do. Being a shinobi will give you the strength to protect others and a purpose to continue waking every day. I look forward to seeing you all again soon in another class. I also cannot wait to see you join the ranks of Genin and officially become my brethren and sisters in arms. Together, we will create a bright future for this village! Think on what I have told you today, for it is the bare bones of being a shinobi. Think on what you want to do, and think on where you want to end up; starting early is the best way to achieving a successful outcome. Good day!”

With that, Shigeru formed a few seals with his hands and was instantly gone, and in his wake was a single log with a small seal on it. After only a few moments, the log exploded and a small message appeared out of the flames. “Class Dismissed!”
