Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Daisuke woke as he felt someone's hand gently shake him from his slumber. He opened his eyes, only to squint in the scant light. It was way too early to be awake, the sun was just barely rising. He could only hear a few birds, where usually, they were tweeting like there was no tomorrow. At least, when he woke up when his body had gotten the right amount of sleep. He took a moment to gain full consciousness, before turning to look at his father. Why'd you wake me so early, papa.... His voice was still edgy with sleep. He wasn't totally awake. And not being woken up so early made him grumpy as hell, which was obvious by the way he glared at his father, which he didn't usually do. At all.

"It is time to go join the Clan that I left, Daisuke. Get up." Daisuke's father got up and walked away then, though stopped at the door. "You'll find the Clan at the edge of the Susukino District. Hurry now." Daisuke woke up all the way then; it was time! Finally, after so much time of waiting, his father was giving him permission to go and join the Clan. Though, he might not have needed it, Daisuke was waiting for his papa to tell him when to go.

The boy flashed around his room, getting clothes on (and his Gauntlet, of course, he'd never leave without that) and getting a quick bite to eat, forgoing a bath. This was too important to take so long scrubbing as he usually did. When he was finished, decked out in his usual gear, he left the house, yelling a hurried farewell.

Daisuke looked up at the gates to the Nara Clan. Finally. He knocked on the gates, waiting excitedly for someone to come and let him in, so he could finally go and request membership to the Clan. As he waited, he got cold feet; sort of. More nervous than anything. What if they don't accept me? It was a real fear of his: what if they didn't like him, or didn't believe he was truly Nara, as he hadn't shown anything but the intelligence of one? He wasn't even lazy, for crying out loud! Now he was less excited as his cheeks got red with cold and he started to shiver lightly, pulling his sweater closer around his small form as he waited patiently yet impatiently at the gates.

Nara Yoku

As always, mornings for Yoku started early... The man sat up in his bed, having had a nice dream about the eventual demise of his whore of a mother, and got dressed in his usual attire. Breakfast had already been prepared for him, and placed on the small table in the center of his room. Whatever servants were assigned to him knew when he woke up, and always made sure to prepare the food at a time that would make it perfect eating temperate when their master got to it. Like normal, his breakfast consisted of rice, venison, and tea. After finishing his meal, the man exited his room, being careful not to produce any noise from the door or floorboards, and made his way out of the main building. It was still dark outside, and Kumo's weather was still as uncomfortable as it's always been.

Now that his wake up routine had been completed, it was time to do what he considered to be his sole household duty, scouting the complex's perimeter to make sure no one broke in while they slept. He started at on of the back corners and slowly made his way around the walls, keeping an eye out for anything that might show someone entered. It didn't take too long before he came to the entrance of the complex, where he heard a quiet knocking on its doors. The sound made Yoku pause for a moment... Who the hell knocks when they want to enter a complex like this? He was unsure of who might be on the other side, but he felt he needed to check now that he'd heard it. Carefully approaching the doors, he placed his hand on one side and slowly pushed it open until he saw a strange purple glow. He jumped back immediately, before noticing it was just a boy. The first thing he saw, obviously, were the peculiar gauntlets he wore. The second was the eager look on his face... Pitiful.

"Boy... What is your business here so early in the morning?" Yoku's tone was almost angry, but he was trying his hardest not to snap at him. It would be unsightly for whatever early risers there were to see a grown man from the prestigious Nara clan screaming at a child for arriving so early in the morning. "If you have something to say, then say it. If not, leave." The man made sure the boy understood he did not want to play games, even if he intended to speak soon after he was "greeted," Yoku's morning routine was as important as a comrade in battle.

Daisuke got more eager as the door slowly opened, only to see a shadow fly backwards. Probably at the aura of his Gauntlet. He partially removed it, which caused the purple stuff to lessen in volume and brightness. He raised a hand to wave at the red-eyed man, opening his mouth to say hello, before he stopped, the man saying a few more things. He seemed angry. Maaaaybe I should have come at another time, like.... Later in the day. Daisuke was nearly ready to bolt, but that would've looked stupid and suspicious, then he probably would've been more unwelcome at the complex. Uh... I'm Akamatsu Daisuke, and my papa told me to come here and join the clan. He's Nara, so he said I'm part Nara too. He pointed to the Gauntlet on his hand, and part Kyoujouran, but I didn't know my ma, so....

The boy shuffled his feet in nervousness, looking at the red-eyed man. Would he allow the boy in? Hopefully. Daisuke briefly wondered if they had breakfast and maybe a shower or something he could use. He was still hungry, and he didn't stink, but he just felt dirty without bathing for the day. If not, then he'd go back home after everything was sorted and finish his morning routine. Daisuke took a step closer towards the open door, then inside, eyes wide as he watched the man closely. He wondered what he'd do: hopefully not kill him. But he looked mean and super powerful, unlike Daisuke, who just looked scared and a novice in the Shinobi word. Even though he had such a sweet Gauntlet, which it seemed only Kyoujouran had. He hadn't seen anyone with a Gauntlet like his in the village, but --- Wait, why the HECK am I thinking about my glove?!?!?

Daisuke looked at the man closely, before coughing softly. So, uh.... What's your name, sir, he said, trying to be respectful and nice at the same time, to lessen the chance that he could die. He really didn't want to die.

Yoku was had no idea how the glove was related to the Kyoujouran bloodline, but he was not about to interrogate a child for such a silly reason. Once again, he cautiously approached the gate and opened it the rest of the way, motioning for the boy to enter. "Very well... Akamatsu-san, enter. I will have one of our servants tend to you." Once the boy followed, the Nara would call one of his servants over, without giving an explanation, then re-enter the main building of the complex. He intended to wake his grandmother so that she could meet with the boy, or give him the order to send him away. Whichever she decided was best.

"You smell, child. I can not present you to Kotaza in such a condition, come. We'll get you bathed." This would be the first thing Daisuke would hear after Yoku left, as the servant closely examined several details about the boy's current state when he walked over. The servant was an elderly woman who had served the Nara for years -- clad in a plain kimono. "While Master Yoku fetches our leader, I will take you to the bath and wash what clothes you have. Please, take your time as the misses must attend to her morning duties as well." The two would enter one of the side buildings, steam rising from the center and trees strategically placed around the sides. Its design was similar to that of the rest of the complex, and wouldn't really stand out for anyone not accustomed to the area.

While the two walked down the halls of the building, the floors creaked. "I will escort you to the meeting chamber after you're all finished, make sure you wash yourself thoroughly so that you are at least presentable when you meet with them." The servant took a moment to scan the boy one last time as they stopped at the end of the hall, and noticed one last thing that she thought should be fixed. "And do something with... That." She motioned to the boy's hair, "It looks like there's a dirty mop on your head." The final decision of what the boy decided to do with his hair would obviously not be up to her, but she wanted to be sure that her master's would not be presented with a dirty little boy so early in the morning.

Daisuke nodded to the red-eyed man, watching as the servant came and assessed his appearance, particularly his smell. He sniffed himself - he didn't smell THAT bad, but he did stink. He hadn't bathed this morning, he was so excited about getting here. But, he didn't have his bathing stuff! Daisuke peered around as the servant led him to the baths with the trees, telling him to take his time before insulting his hair. He frowned, moving his hand up and messing with a few of his locks. A dirty mop? .... Well, that was rude. Daisuke watched the servant closely, before moving towards the steaming baths and dipping a finger in.

He started removing his clothing, making sure the woman couldn't see him, taking off his Gauntlet and setting it atop the neat pile of clothing which sat atop his shoes in a corner, before running to the bath and slipping in, sighing in comfort as warm water washed over him, having to paddle to stay afloat as he swam-floated to the middle of the bath. His mouth and nose submerged, Daisuke slowly spun in the water for some time, less than a minute, before pushing up and taking a breath, then submerging himself all the way. He emerged from under the water, before yelling to the lady, just now remembering. My clothes are in the corner! Leave the Gauntlet alone!

He swam lap after lap around the pool, and then moved to the edge, putting his arms up to the side and just relaxing. He could get used to this, he sighed into the steam, breathing slightly heavily as he brought his fingers to his face and looked at the tips of his fingers: they were wrinkly, like old people skin. He never figured out why fingers and toes did that after being underwater for awhile, but then, it wasn't really anything worth knowing.

He got up, moving over and taking a towel and wrapping it around his waist, the towel dragging along the floor, he was so short. He looked around, wondering how long he was expected to wait.

The old lady was immediately offended by the boy's order, "Well, I--" It was no use.. Why would she stoop to the boy's level when she was obviously superior? Not only that, but there was no telling what the delinquent might say to her mistress if she chose to argue with him. The mere thought of what might happen was disgusting. "Very well..." She sighed, taking only the clothes that needed to be washed and leaving the strange gauntlet. Probably something related to whatever strange cult he was involved with.

After Daisuke exited the bath, it took about ten minutes for the servant to return with a fresh set of clothing. "Take this yukata and put it on quickly, Lady Kotaza is already waiting for you in the courtyard." She would pause for a moment, letting the child take in the massive amount of information she just gave him, then continue. "I will be waiting right outside to take you to them."
