Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

With a place as ancient and vast as the Kumogakure mountains, it was no surprise that it held a plethora of secret tunnels and passageways. Izura made his way through one such tunnel- part of a network of tunnels that spanned the mountains and made it easy to get lost. Surrounded in near pitch darkness, the only source of light was the torch in his hand as he traversed the treacherous tunnel and cavern network. It wasn’t the prettiest way of getting home, but at least it tended to attract fewer visitors. He’d already been traveling for about three hours through the oppressive darkness. He wished it went faster. He covered his face with a scarf. It was getting a bit cold…

Perhaps it would have been easier if he just stayed on the surface and traversed the streets like proper riff-raff. The secret passageways were not used so commonly, and to even find one meant quite a bit of digging around the city without some provided knowledge. Even upon finding one, it would take hours— yes, quite a time spent running in circles— to go from a start to destination without knowledge of the tunnel layout. And so as the rogue wandered he stirred a commotion in those paths less traveled. He disturbed what seemed like simple cobwebs as he passed through, unknowing that it was really a part of the grand tapestry keeping the tunnels protected.

And so the masked one came coming as if a silent alarm had been sounded. A pair of emeraldine orbs shined in the darkness in the distance ahead of the rouge, practically making their holder one with the shadows. The form bearing them was humanoid though. “You’re not supposed to be here” called a voice deepened with a haunting tone through his mask. “We’ve let you have your time in our city, curiously watching to see what you’d do… But creeping through these sacred halls is going too far.” Then the masked one took a few paces forth, revealing himself beneath a sole tunnel light hanging from the ceiling. The light itself suddenly began flickering as if it were being overcharged, and then with a pop, the entire space became a pitch black void. “I don’t know where you are trying to go, but you’ve made a grave mistake in coming down here. Turn back.”

“Ah…”

He raised his hands, caught in the act. Izura sighed.

“I came here to look for someone. They aren’t here, so I’m leaving…Sunagakure is my next location to search.”

Slowly reaching down to grab his paperwork, he shuffled through one pocket until he procured what he had been seeking. It was clearly a passport of some kind. He held up the passport, letting it’s folds drop open to reveal the contents. The passport detailed someone named ‘Uchiha Tsukuro’ who hailed from Iwagakure. A stone anbu, to be specific.

“I mean no harm. Just let me go, and I’ll be on my way.”

[REQUESTING exit. You got me >-<, so can I go now? Lol]

[P.S.: It's a real stone passport. Zero forgery involved. I was a stone ninja when I got it.]

The shadowy figure was unmoved as the rogue tried providing some identification, in fact, you could presume it either knew already or did not care. “My patience is short” he answered, allowing that to indicate his stance on the matter at hand. “Turnabout face and start down the corridor, and I will show you the way back to the surface. ‘You make even a flinch suggesting otherwise and things will get messy.” The masked one then held up a gloved hand from beneath his cloaked form and performed three hand seals in rapid, practiced succession; the other hand remained hidden, constantly gripping the hilt of Eelspine. The chakra molded from the ANBU operative’s seals created several illuminating orbs of cyan chakra, which danced around the pair and lit the way. “Follow the light.”

And so a strange mercy was shown, albeit unexpectedly from the Masked Captain. The pair would march out of the secret tunnel, to an exit which revealed them being not so far from the village’s exit point; Dragontooth Pass. “Be on your way, and know how lucky you are to not be cut down for trespassing. I suggest you use your given talents to cleanse your own mind of what you’ve seen here in the Hidden Cloud… If you ever step foot in this village again, know we won’t forget this encounter in the sum of your wrongdoings.”

The mountain pass was frightfully cold and coated with fresh snow when Izura was prompted to make his exit. The gate guardsmen on duty simply let the rogue past upon noticing that it was an ANBU of high station letting him leave. This meant there’d surely be a vigilant watch over that man as he crept down the mountainside, making sure he’d not return without paying a price.

-exit granted.

Izura simply nodded and put away the passport, before following the captain’s direcctions to the T. Nothing more, nothing less. It was going to be a long, cold trek before he’d be out of these mountains, but at least things didn’t need to get messy. Surprisingly enough, the anbu captain didn’t ask him questions. An odd situation, but perhaps observation told him everything he needed to know.
