Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ziren looked at the little creature. It seemed to have ties to that place. He seen it make some tears. He looked down. Maybe he shouldn't have brought it up. But he wanted to help. And if it means taking out whatever this thing is that is causing damages to the forests and wildlife, then he needs to just that.

The little creature seemed deep in thought. As if remembering all that was bad about that place. But then it seemed to have a determined look in its eyes. It talked about how it was going to get someone that can help.

It then bowed, thanked him and was going to explain itself as for why he can't follow. Ziren bowed back, "No need to thank me. I'm righting my wrongs. Especially of what I've done to your kin. I will do all that I can to help you and your kin to ensure that this forest is safe."

It handed him an acorn and Ziren held it in his hands. He studied the acorn, nothing seemed to be unique about it. And when he looked up, the little plant creature was gone.

Ziren waited there, listening to the wildlife and their blood, making sure that nothing came too close, in case if they were hostile.

The tiny plant creature had left, and the forest was quiet. As Ziren stood, time would pass as he would hear not a murmur or sound. In fact, it seemed as if the animals in the area grew dead silent. After everything he had done so far with the peculiarities he faced, was this the end of Ziren’s adventure? Has karma did her work against him for the killing of that tree?

Ziren’s patience, hopefully, would soon pay off.

As he stood, the smell of sulfur filled the air. With that, tendrils of smoke began to cover the general vicinity. If Ziren observed his surroundings, he’d notice far more tendrils of smoke building from the direction his new friend went. A fire was burning, and it was growing stronger by the second. Suddenly, bursts of animals ran frantically away from the flames and passed Ziren. Whatever was ahead of him, it was definitely no good. The forest, and his new potential friend, was in great danger. What would Ziren do?

9Pu8TM6.jpg

If Ziren chose to near the source of the flames, he would notice no beings or creatures in sight, but he would also discover the color of the fire. Unlike most fires, this one was pitch black. The black flames burned wildly as it infected the forests with its unyielding grasps. From afar, Ziren would hear a familiar “Heeeeeeeeelp!” The epicenter of the flames was an open ring and, standing inside, was his new friend. The flames were nearing him… what would Ziren do?

[OOC: Ziren has 2 rounds to save his friend from the black flames that are circling in around him. If not, there will be consequences! G'luck and feel free to be creative!]

ZIren seen smoke, he could smell the burning of it. Animals ran past him, as he went towards the source. And once he was there, his eye widened.

From how it looks, it's going to take a lot out of him to even put a dent in this thing. Black flames. He knows this. He has seen it before. Amaterasu. The only way that he knows to put it out is if the owner of the Sharingan decides to put it out. But considering how he doesn't have the time, nor does he think the Uchiha will listen to him. He does have another idea. A crazy stupid idea.

Hand seals were formed. Three Ziren clones made out of water came into existence. But they weren't going to try and put out the fire. No. He wasn't stupid. Well... Maybe he was. Ziren hasn't figured that part out yet.

He himself ran through the black flames. He thought he made it through unscathed, but then seen Black flames were on his shirt. He quickly took it off, careful not to touch the fire.

"Don't worry little guy, I'll get us out of here. Step one, get inside the black flames of death, complete. Step two, get out of the black flames of death... Still need working on."

“Uh…” the small creature, once shouting frantically, now carried a bewildering look on his face. As the blackened flames burned around them, it pointed its tiny fingers at Ziren. “Hey… your pants are on fire, too.” If Ziren examined himself, he would notice his pants had caught on fire just like his shirt. If he attempted to use water to extinguish it, it would have no effect whatsoever. The small plant yelped.

“We’re going to die….” Ziren running through the flames did not ensure the small creatures safety. In fact, it made him more anxious about the predicament he was in. He was stung with a bit of sorrow as well; he was on a mission to give intel to his plant family about the mysterious fires that were threatening their habitat and lives. Instead, he would meet his doom here… surely, his family would follow. “What was your name again, mister?”

The creature tugged at Ziren’s foot. “Can I recite to you my dying wish? Unless you die, too…” I mean, his clothes were already burning off, so maybe he was next to catch into flames. The small wooden creature sighed incredulously. Was there an even slight chance of salvation? Maybe Ziren, unbeknownst to him, would shed some light and hope in this situation. After all, while he didn't appear too impressive to him so far, he was a shinobi. They were capable of great feats, right? What will Ziren do?

"Hm?" Ziren listened to the little plant. As he looked down, he let out a Yelp, not really heroic at all, but he did manage to take the pants off before they were burned to a crisp. On a normal day, Ziren would be embarrassed about the whole thing. But nothing about today was a normal day.

The black flames were getting close, but he wasn't going to give up so easily. "I'm Ziren. Chigokai Ziren. And we are not going to die. Not today. Therefore you don't need to give me your dying wish. Because both of us will get out if here together." Ziren wasn't afraid at all. He spoke in a calm voice. With one hand, he made hand seals, the other, he picked the little creature up, "I need you to hold on tight." Water then rushed out of his mouth that his the ground. It started to rise up fast as it carried Ziren. Hydro Tidal Shockwave. He wasn't going to try and put the fire out. No, that would be impossible. But he would be able to surf on the water to escape out of the fire death of doom. All was good. He had the little plant creature in his arms, it seemed that he could make it out alright. But then he seen steam rise up in front of him. The next thing was that his feet were hot. Like really hot.

Ziren looked down to see the water boiling at his feet. The amaterasu must be the issue. Now he understood why this made the Uchiha Clan so fearsome. Not only was it impossible for him to put it out, the fire just boiled his water.

He had to move quick. He was far away from the initial fire, but the heat alone was boiling the water he was on, and if he doesn't get off soon, he could have melted feet. His clones were chasing him as he rode the justsu. They were going to try to catch him. And he had limited time. Ziren jumped, turning his body as he did so, just so he can act like a cushion for the little plant that he had just saved. The clones caught Ziren, as he crashed into them.

He got up, and looked at the little creature in his hands. "See? We are okay. I only just lost my clothes, some pride, and flesh off of my feet. But otherwise we are good "

(Used Hydro Tidal Shockwave)

The next string of events occurred all too fast. As the small plant creature sulked in dismay, Chigokai Ziren was on the move. Yelping as Ziren scooped him up in his hand, the tiny plant grew wide-eyed as the man spat out tons of water from his mouth. Before he knew it, both he and Ziren literally surfed over the fires and toward safety! Was it a success?

“…we made it.” muttered the plant in disbelief. As the black flames continued to crackle, the small creature’s awed expression soon shifted into a hopeful smile. A glint of admiration sparkled in his little eye. Turning toward Ziren, he tugged his pants. “Thank you, Chigokai Ziren. I, Deku, have truly underestimated you.” Admiring thoughts aside, Deku knew he and his people were in quite the predicament. The forest was in danger, and he and his people were in its perilous path. Who was hurting the forest? Why were they hurting the forest? Many of these types of questions filled Deku’s mind, but he had no answers for it. He just knew he had to save the day one way or another.

“These fires are coming from a source… my gut instinct tells me it’s coming from one of two directions.” The miniature plant being nodded. “Rather, the trees have hinted to me possible culprits. There lies a beast up north, infamous for travesty to happen every way it travels. To the west, there is a suspicious looking hermit who wears an evil smirk. He also emits a nefarious aura.”

Despite the chaos that sizzled around them, Deku had a humbled request. “Will you help me and my people, Ziren of the Chigokai Clan? I doubted you would be of any help, but I was proven wrong. You may be the key to saving this forest.” The small plant raised its tiny branched hand. If Ziren agreed, he’d hop on to his palm. “Which direction will we go?”

[OOC: Ziren has a choice! He can travel north to potentially face a beast, or travel west to confront a mysterious, potentially evil hermit. The choice is yours!]

As they finally made it to safety, the little plant thanked him, after saying that it underestimated him. Ziren laughed a little bit. "Trust me, I've underestimated myself tons of times. Now with basically all my pride gone, along with most of my clothes, I don't think I can go lower when it comes to underestimating myself." He said that last part as a joke to make light of the situation.

Finally, Ziren learned the plants name. Deku. And he also learned about what might be the two causes of what is destroying the forest. A beast, and a hermit. In an instant, Ziren thought that the hermit could be part of this, considering how he has never heard of monsters having the ability of a blood line powers. But then again, one could not be too careful and find something new that they have came across.

But as he thought more and more, the likelihood of a monster having Uchiha eyes to make the amaterasu, is rare at best. The hermit, on the other hand, might be the Uchiha that has caused all of this. Much bigger chances that this is the guy that has done this.

"The hermit sounds more like along the lines of what I highly think is behind all of these black fires. Let's go after him, and I will request for a mission looking into this beast up north after the hermit has answered for his own crimes."

"Well then, it's settled!" chirped Deku as he danced on Ziren. Positioning himself toward the west side of the forest, he pointed. “Onward march! Let’s go save the forest!” Contrary to his previous personality, Deku, as he grew to trust in Ziren more, became more chipper and lively. Perhaps this was his true self the whole time? Despite the Leaf shinobi’s previous incompetence, like killing a plant, he proved himself an ally that had the potential to help save him and his people. Deku had faith in his new friend.

As they moved west into the forest, the trees, aided by a light breeze, blew their leaves in a direction that would aid the shinobi and the tiny plant toward the hermit’s whereabouts. The path was quiet and clear. Although Fire Country’s forest was known for its animal life and potential ferocious beats, luckily, none were in sight. Animals could be heard calling from a distance, but none were nearby. Perhaps there was a reason for this? The more west they went, the forest then grew darker and murkier. The leaves of each new tree passed appeared more deadened as the expanse was cloaked in shadows. Where ever they were heading, it wasn’t a pleasant place. Deku shivered and tugged at Ziren. “I don’t like it here, Ziren of the Chigokai Clan.” As they pushed forward, a small hut, surrounded by an out-of-place swamp, could been seen from a distance. Smoke funneled upward through its chimney as a symphony of frogs croaked around it. Was it normal for swamps to exist in a forest?

“Something isn’t right here. Be careful, Ziren,”
warned the plant sprite as it gazed out into the expanse with subtle fear. If Ziren chose to proceed forward, his footsteps would make a loud, mushy sounds due to the mud below his feet. Regardless of how he neared the hunt, a large sign right in front of it would clearly make the land owner’s intentions known.

“Leave the Hermit’s Keep, or else.” Was the sign written in blood? How would Ziren approach this situation? Suddenly, a crashing sound could be heard from inside the hut. It sounded as if someone fell and as if glass broke. What exactly was going on?

Ziren made his way to where it seemed the leaves of the trees were leading them. He couldn't really hear any blood flow coming near them, animal, creature wise, nothing seemed to be in the area. But as Ziren made his way closer and closer to where this so called Hermit lives, he could hear a blood flow.

He had to admit, he isn't very much intimidated at all, but the fact that the wind was blowing, cold breeze hitting his body, with only a pair of boxers to defend against natural elements, and his pride gone, embarrassment kicking in, as he realized that he will be fighting this guy in only boxers.

Then a thought ran through his head, it'd be even more embarrassing if the Hermit lost to a kid that has nothing on except some boxers. Fueled with at least some pride, Ziren kept in going. They walked for a few more minutes until there was a hut in view, and it was surrounded by a swamp.

He coughed as the smell invaded his nose. Soon after he heard some crashes coming from inside. Ziren focused chakra to his feet, and proceeded to walk across the swamp. Once on the other side, Ziren just made a small kunai out of blood, considering how there probably won't be much room to swing a scythe or a sword around.

He looked through a window of the door he was going to walk through. Nothing seems to be on the other side, but he opened it slowly.

Once Ziren opened the door, he would be surprised with what he witnessed. Deku, the plant being on his shoulder, shrieked out. On the floor, with a pile of blood growing beneath him, lied the dead Hermit. He was an ashen old man with a bizarre, grey beard. His eyes were opened as his heart stopped beating moments before Ziren entered his hut. “Oh no…” muttered Deku as a tear formed in his eye. He was dismayed, both for witnessing the end of a life and for the fact that this man was their lead. If Ziren tried to revive the man, it would be of no use. If he turned him over or attempted to inspect him, he would see deep knife wounds scattered across his torso. It was an unpleasant and violent sight. It was also clear that, whatever was happening, foul play was involved?

“What do you we, Ziren? This is not good, not good at all.” asserted the plant anxiously. The inside of the man’s hut, ironically, appeared undisturbed. If there was a struggle, there was no sign of it. He possessed a small dinner table, a bed, a small kitchen, and what appeared as if an alchemist’s table in the back of the room. “Alchemy!” Deku, hopping off Ziren’s shoulder, hastily dashed toward the table. Searching around it, he found a small note. “Ziren, look, a note!” Deku couldn’t read, but if Ziren decided to investigate it, the note would share an ominous and bewildering message.

Strange Note said:
Damned black fire blazes about,
Evil Hermit’s a menace, who did this spout?
Kill I shall, but first an investigation. An answer I will find.
Umbrella of darkness, a creature seeking vengeance and power, I know its kind
Gather my findings, an altered branch, a cursed eye
Aghast, will I stop him before I die?

“Why does he write notes in rhyme? Odd…”</B><i></i> Deku shook his head. <B>“What does this mean? What can we do?” What will Ziren do? The hut was open for investigation, and so was the area around. Would he find a clue? And if a clue was found, what will the shinobi do with that clue? Deku, not with bad attention, kept repeating the words of the note to himself. He, too, was trying to decipher its eerie, yet vague message.

Ziren looked down at the body, just from listening to the blood, it was apparent that he was dead. No need to check for physical damages, because he was a specialist in blood after all. But enough of that for now, he went to the table in which Deku went to. Where there was the note.

As he read it, it seemed someone else had something against this hermit. The note itself spoke in ryhmes. It was almost like a riddle, but he wasn't the kind of guy to solve these kinds of things. And yet, here he was, having to solve a riddle.

Ziren tapped his head gear. "Attention. We have a murderer and someone destroying wild life running around. Sending coordinates of the location. Of a body."

Once he was done with that, Ziren picked Deku up and put him on his shoulders. "Maybe this guy is on to something. It mentions the creature. Probably the one that you mentioned to me before. If anything, this guy might have the answers we are looking for. So if we find this monster, we could probably find the guy that killed the hermit. And most importantly. Get the answers we are looking for."

How can this day get any worse? Ziren doesn't know. But he will have to find the answers sooner or later. But it was apparent that they were running out of leads. This monster and some dude that killed their previous lead are the only leads that they have now.

After the discovery of the gruesome murder and the ominous note, Deku, the plant creature, grew mute as Ziren verbally assessed the situation. It wasn’t that he lacked anything to add, but that the wheels in his noggin were slowly turning to piece together this mystery. Who was committing all these atrocious acts? Most importantly, why? Hopefully these were answers that, with Ziren’s help, could be answered very soon. The lives of his people depended on it.

As Ziren channeled in fellow shinobi on his headset to give a report, he’d hear nothing but static in return. Apparently, something was blocking off his signal of communication. Could this day become any more eerie? At the mention of the monster, Deku nodded his wooden head. “I think that might be best, too. Let us be off?” And with that, so they were. Following the directions that the trees gave them, the duo headed down the path toward the beast. The journey, like the one before, was oddly quiet for the forest’s typical scene. Most animals appeared in hiding; even the trees refused to brush or sing in the breeze. As they traveled down the direction of the creature, the duo would hear an overwhelming screech from the distance. The scream sounded ungodly… as if from some godforsaken being. Deku stood erect in attention.

“Up above!” How would Ziren handle the situation? Upfront? In stealth? Or perhaps in a different angle? Regardless, the beast was nearby and crying out aggressively. It did not sound friendly by any means.

As he had tried to get information out, he was found out that all he could hear was static. He kept the head set on, just in case. This was surely a weird day for him.

After listening to what Deku had to say, that he agreed with him, Ziren nodded and picked the plant creature up and set him on his shoulder, with that done, he walked out of the hut. He had followed where the trees were pointing him in the direction of going.

Soon, they were at a place, where they heard the screeching of something that Ziren has never heard of before. Hand seals made, and crystals were coming out of the earth, until it made a dragon. He hopped on its obsidian back and it walked towards the source of the screeches, careful not to make any noise, which was hard for a dragon made of crystals to do.

Blood came out of his skin and formed into a scythe. And then it came into view as the plant yelled out. It had the front half body of a lion, the back half he could only guess was some sort of reptile with how the legs and tail were. If he had to take a guess, he would have thought that this was an experimentation that Ibumo and those other evil scientists have made. But the note that he had read said different. Whatever this thing is, it might be of some problems.

Speaking of which. Ziren had also guessed that there may have been someone else who might be in on this. Considering the hermit dead, along with the note that was left there. He suspects a third party might be involved. He made some quick hand seals and a water clone appeared. The clone went off around the creature to go behind it, and then approached it, making precautions to not give away Ziren's position.

He didn't know if this thing was intelligent enough to speak, but there was only one way to find out. As the clone came closer, it spoke in a loud voice. "Tell me! Are you the one causing harm to the wildlife!"

As the clone approached the chimera, it blinked curiously at his request. What was this human talking about? From one moment to the next, the beast’s eyes grew feral. With the hairs on its back spiking upward and the protruding of its sharpened canines, the beast let out a ferocious growl. It did not want to make friends with the Leaf shinobi, that was for sure. Lunging out, the beast effortlessly tore through the water clone with its long claws. It then proceeded to scan the area around it by visually scanning the area and attempting to catch scent of any other being present. Although hidden, it caught on to Ziren’s foreign scent. It quietly walked, with its head lowered like the predator it was, toward Ziren and Deku’s location. What would the duo do?

“It’s coming for us, Ziren…” warned the small plant creature. Before the pair could react, billow of smoke ascended from a distance not too far from the group. With its attention diverted toward the scent of burning flame, the chimera spontaneously shifted its body and ran toward the smoky area. Whatever was occurring, it was enough to completely capture the beast’s attention away from the shinobi.

If Ziren and Deku were to follow the chimera and head the direction of the smoke, they would see an even wilder black flame from the ones they previously experienced. The chimera let out a cry, seemingly disturbed by the presence of the flames. The flames crackled violently and only expanded upon the plant life of the forest. It was turning everything in its path to ash… the chimera let out a howl. What would Ziren do?

Ziren thought that they were going to have to fight here soon, but the creature's attention was pulled away when smoke filled the area in the far background.

His eyes narrowed. Just as he suspected. This creature is not the problem. The real culprit was an Uchiha. Or someone who stole the eyes of an Uchiha. Maybe this third party dude was the guy that killed the hermit. Maybe not. But it seems that once he gets to one path, it closes up, leaving him with even more questions than answers.

Ziren rode on his Obsidian Dragon, taking it to where the creature has gone, tracking it with his blood hearing capabilities. As he got there, he could see that the fires were black and even more uncontrollable than before.

He slid off the back of the dragon and made more hand seals. A single clone poofed into existence. He handed Deku off to the clone, as the clone mounted the dragon. "I need to get you out of here.
Stay close, but stay hidden and far enough away from the fires. If you need to, call out for help and I will get to you immediately. But for now, stay with the Obsidian Dragon and my clone."

As the three of them went off to hide, Ziren got in front of the Creature, separating it from the large fires. He realizes that he isn't in the type of situation to fight. Can't call on for clones or other creations. Heck, he feels low on chakra, even though he had a small break from having to use it. He put his back to face the creature, as a sign of trust.

"Okay, you might not understand what I am saying, but sorry for earlier. That, and maybe you should get out of here too. Unless if you can sniff out this fire starter guy." Ziren listened for blood flows. Then he said, out loud, "I finally caught up to you, you jerk! Stop hiding and show yourself! Oh, and put out these fires that you made too!"

He knows that he really isn't very intimidating or demanding since he just has boxers on. "Oh, and you owe me some new clothes since your Amaterasu burned the ones that I was wearing off! After you do this, then me and you are going to talk."

Ziren knew that the guy must be bleeding. For the Amaterasu makes the eyes bleed in some cases. If he wasn't, he would still be able to hear his blood inside of the man's body. Ziren just hopes that the creature doesn't try to swipe at him when he's trying to help it out.

As Ziren and Deku both trailed the chimera, the creature came to an abrupt stop in front of the black fires. Howling in obvious panic, the beast sniffed around frantically. “Be careful, Ziren,” warned the plant sprite as the shinobi dismounted from his crystalline creation and approached the beast. As the gutsy and pantless Leaf ninja confronted the chimera, it snarled and snapped at him. It’s non-verbal warning? ‘Get away from me or else.’ It continued to sniff around.

Ziren was correct in his senses that there was someone else around who was likely the culprit, but he made three crucial mistakes. First, calculated the sinister scientist as he observed from afar, he left himself wide open. Second, his main body was separated from his plant friend. Lastly, the chimera was under his control. EVERYTHING was under his control. As the mad scientist pressed some type of device equipped on his built, a high-pitched frequency radiated through the air. Although its purpose was to signal the chimera, even Ziren and those around him would hear the piercing ring of the audial waves.

With the melody of the frequency continuously playing, the Chimera faced Ziren as its eyes glowed red. Sharingan eyes replaced its once slit pupils. Created a black-ringed hellfire around Ziren, it slowly crept toward him. It was obvious the creature was under control.

“Ziren!” cried the plant creature from afar. Suddenly, a wire wrapped around the small plant and tugged him to a nearby tree. Was that the culprit? Things were heating up, and fast. What will Ziren do?

"I will. You be careful too." Ziren nodded to the plant creature. He was well aware that the chimera very well can tear him apart. But for right now, he will have to deal with the real culprit.

He listened in on the blood flow. He pin pointed it down of where it was. But he was too late. He seen a person press a button on a strange device, making a high pitched noise that filled the area. Ziren yelled and grabbed hold of his ears. Man, this was really annoying. Just then, a fire ring of Amaterasu surrounded him. He looked behind to see the monster approaching him, not even caring about the black flames that it was so scared of before.
meanwhile...

Ziren's clone was good at getting Deku away from all of the troubles. But then his little plant friend got caught up in some wires? The clone made the crystalline beast stop. As he had seen the little plant tangled up. He gritted his teeth, as a clone, he can't surmount to the power of his real self. But this will be the least he can do. Jumping off the dragon's head, the clone landed on a branch nearby and started to make his way to Deku. "Don't worry. I got you. The real me will be here soon." The clone closed the distance, looking back at the black smoke that could be seen from where they were. The Obsidian Dragon walked around the tree, as if guarding it.
back with the real Ziren...

With impeding doom just seconds away, and no pride left, as he only has some boxers on, Ziren is facing with the impossible. He would just have to do the same thing as he did last time. Hydro Tidal Shockwave. Water came out of his mouth and propelled him up. Once he was far enough up, he made his next set of hand seals. Supreme aqua realm, supreme water prison. Two orbs of water shot out from the water the Ziren had previously created, in hopes of binding both the chimera and the scientist in a water prison. Well... Ziren made sure that the scientist's water prison was blood, thanks to his blood line ability, Crimson Water. But even after such a good skills were followed up by Ziren crashing into the ground. This was from him not paying attention when he had done this justsu. He picked himself up, every part of his body is sore. Throwing a quick kunai in the scientist's direction, Ziren hopes that it broke the device.

He quickly ran towards where his clone was, yelling past his shoulder, intended for the scientist dude to hear, "Stay put. Oh, and you still owe me some new clothes after all of this."

His clone seen him before he did and then it said, "About time!" His clone said.

"You deal with having to get out of a ring of Sharingan fire, and then you can complain about my lateness." He brought out a kunai and cut the wires that had held Deku hostage.

"I told you that I was coming back. Now-Ah!" Ziren had a big headache. Just then, his clone went poof, water splashed. Down below, the Obsidian Dragon poofed out of existence too. And Ziren knows that the Chimera and the crazy scientist dude are now free of their binds, that's if, they were ever even bounded. He cursed to himself, not really taking time to see if he had been successful for all the work he had put in.

"Damn... I'm now just on burning chakra... I guess I should have been paying more attention to that." He then turned to Deku. "This might be it. So I need you to get out of here. I'll give them all hell enough to buy you some time."

The climax of this story continued to boil!

Deku, dangling by a study wire and being strung to an unknown location, cried out. “Ziren-san!” Suddenly, a nearby tree branch wrapped itself around the plant contract creature. It played tug of war with whatever attempted to abduct him. Meanwhile…

Snarl.

The chimera, clearly being controlled by the nearby scientist, attempted to attack Ziren with its humongous claw. It missed! With his water jutsu and deftness, Ziren was able to dodge the chimera’s attack. Using his affinity for water jutsu, his attempt at binding the chimera was a success. With a mighty roar, the mind-controlled beast was subdued. “Dammit!” muttered a scientist from afar near his sound emitting contraption and a device that pulled Deku from a wire. Locating the scientist, especially since he gave off his location, was easy for Ziren. With an echo of his last action, Ziren was able to break the wire that bound Deku, bind the scientist, and destroy the contraption that sent off sound waves. Everything was going perfectly convenient for him!

BUT…

The chimera was no longer controlled, but, due to the chaos that ensued, it went on a blind rampage. It broke through Ziren’s water bind and sliced the scientist out of his bind. The scientist’s leg was slashed and began to bleed profusely. Eyeing the now free Deku and the pantless Ziren, the beast huffed and aggressively brushed its feet against the dirt below. It was ready to charge.

“That chimera seems so confused. We need to calm it down, Ziren-san!” Deku cried. Channeling his Plant powers, Deku managed to grow a strange looking herb magically from the ground. He picked it and handed it to Ziren. “Try to force this into the chimera’s jaw. If it eats this herb, it has properties to soothe beasts! Also…” The scientist attempted to crawl away in an escape, but Deku lunged on top of him, made his wooden arms grow like tendrils around the man, and nodded at Ziren. “I’ll hold him off – stop the beast!”

The chimera lunged out with an open mouth in attempts to bite Ziren. What would he do?

[OOC: Remember, Ziren has low chakra! Try not to depend on that in your attempts next round]

Things were going well for Ziren. Too well... But things started to go to hell pretty quick. It took a minute, but he then sensed the blood of both chimera and scientist. Both of which, were still for a moment and then moving once again. He was surprised that his binding justsu worked. Well... Kind of. From the foliage, he seen the chimera lash out of the bind and struck the scientist.

Ziren jumped down from the tree with Deku. The chimera's focus was now on him. And then Deku brought up some weird plant. The plant creature placed it in Ziren's hand, telling him of what it can do to help.

"Okay. Feed a plant to a carnivorous looking creature. I got it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy." Ziren was trying to make light of the situation, but he won't be able to do this easily. Not with how low of chakra he has.

The scientist tried to crawl away, but thankfully Deku has him tied up in some wooden tendrils. The Chigokai turned his attention to the Chimera once more. It charged at him.

Time seemed to slow down, he closed his eyes, his own thoughts, trying to figure a way around. But his exhaustion was really taking an effect on him now. Thankfully, he does have one idea. But bad thing about it. It is a stupid idea. Probably the most stupid idea he has.

Ziren opened his eyes, filled with determination. The herb in his right hand. He charged straight on at the incoming chimera. "Yarrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!" Ziren yelled at the top of his lungs. Ziren was known for making crazy and stupid ideas. But this. This tops the list. But sometimes. Sometimes it takes the craziest idea to finally find a solution to a problem.

"Shut up and eat this magic herb already!" He had his right hand out, the hand that has the herb in it, bringing it with force to the opening jaws of the chimera. He waited until he was sure, or hoped that he was sure, that he will drop it right in its mouth. And as soon as he let go of the herb, he moved his hand away as fast as he can in hopes to get it out of the jaws of the beast before it closes it's chompers.

Ziren realizes that if he doesn't make it, the last words he has ever said would be "Shut up and eat this magic herb already" He can just imagine it being on his tombstone. Along with below it saying, "The chimera didn't like the magical herb." A small smile came in his face. Well... At least he can have a final laugh at this before whatever happens next, happens.

(OOC: I rolled for this, just to let you know. You are very lucky, sir.)

Everything happened so suddenly, but the bold and foolish Ziren was a lucky man. A pantsless one, but a lucky one nonetheless. Holding out his arm for the Chimera to munch on, he managed to successfully slip the herb inside its jaw and retract his hand fast enough to avoid any damage. Angered, the beast almost retaliated with a hefty slash of its claw, but it stopped as the effects of the plant took effect immediately. Suddenly, the Chimera shook its head, whimpered, and trailed away into the forest. It was no longer threatening to Ziren or Deku. It was still dangerous, but it was no longer a pawn for the mad scientist. Speaking of…

Pinning down the evil scholar, Deku growled at him. The little sprite was pissed. “Why are you hurting the forest with these flames?! What are you after?!” Although he meant to be threatening, the tiny Deku wasn’t frightening by any means. In reaction, the scientist cackled mockingly. “Why should I tell you, tiny creature? I do not fear you!”</B><i></i> The scientist was injured and disheveled in appearance. With broken spectacles, he continued to verbally mock Deku. The Plant shook his head and turned to Ziren expectantly.

<B>“Think you can make our little friend talk?” Deku wasn’t a fan of violence, but this buffoon was destroying his home and his people. He held no sympathy for the man; he only craved justice.

[OOC2: I am giving you permission to do what you want with the Mad Scientist to make him talk… or not. Whatever you want! I will control the dialogue, but feel free to get creative.]
