Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Book I, Chapter 4: "Cluster of Thoughts, Cloud of Questions"

The air was crisp and cold in the mountain with the breath visible in the air. The sun began to rise in the sky, emerging from the large bodies of clouds that covered the gates to heaven. Birds in the forest chirped and flew about nonchalantly and a lone figure approached the gates that secured the village. The man seemed exhausted, his green eyes with no focus and eyelids half-closed, as if he was captured in a cloud of thoughts and his feet mechanically advancing towards the entrance. one would have imagined a zombie upon setting eyes on this man and he seemed like a soulless being that would continue to walk to the end of the world unless someone stopped him.

Kyouraku was thinking. After twenty years he had once again encountered the organization that killed Hisui. Coincidentally or as by fate, it did not matter, because he just couldn't ignore it anymore. As soon as he entered the village, he had research to do, and for the first time in about fifteen years, he was serious, with nothing in his head but the lotus symbol and its significance. He had to find out who these guys were, what they were up to and why they appeared again. After the long years of vacancy, the hedonist would once again return to his ANBU codenmae, Clockwork, to give these motherfuckers a major ass-whooping.

Re: Book I, Chapter 4: "Cluster of Thoughts, Cloud of Questi

Touma watched as the olderman approached the gates, waiting to see the usual suspect jump down to let him in. Surprisingly, for once, the Deathwatch Captain himself did not immediately show himself to handle the gate procedures. Perhaps that was why nobody else was down there already, if they were all waiting for him to do it. It was slightly concerning that they had all become so complacent by letting one person handle so much, even Touma himself. It was rare that Touma would handle gate entrance, but somebody had to do it now. He emerged from one of the perches over the gate and, stepping on and over the rail, dropped the fair distance to the ground. As usual, he was wearing mostly black with his ANBU mask the only contrast. Sure to have been spotted by now, he approached Shogi, the trainee who had been part of ANBU longer than Touma had been alive.

"You know the drill," he said, of course referring to the passport required for entrance. As soon as Shogi produced it he would quickly check over it, flipping through the few pages to ensure everything was correct and legitimate. After a few moments of inspection, everything checked out. Touma handed the passport back to Shogi and gave a signal for the gate guards to stand down and let him pass through the small opening left in the gates. "Go on," he said to Shogi before turning and making an impressive leap, catching onto the side of the perch atop the gate and slipping back in. Shogi was free to enter.

[OoC: Technically yes, after 5 days of nobody attending your entrance/exit request, you can simply enter... but seeing as I had to post here anyway to respond, I figured I'd post anyway! Entrance granted, sorry about the wait.]

The seemingly mindless man continued to walk and came to a slow halt as he noticed the black figure standing in his path. Normally, the man would have spotted the presence from a distant but currently his senses were dull with perhaps shock and disbelief, causing him to set eyes on the gate guard only when the ANBU came up to his nose. Knowing exactly the procedures, he automatically reached into the inner pocket of his robe without looking and flashed his passport for the man to check. It had been a short time since he'd received the passport and of course nothing would be strange. Almost immediately he was given the okay and with research to do and a revenge to plan, Kyouraku entered the gates.

OOC: Thanks. It's always feels better to do things according to proper procedure.
