Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kichiru did his best to keep his mind focused on the prospect of protecting someone he cared for. Although it would not be a permanent solution, it could at least save him from disappointing his potential new friend Yanjirou. He would need to give it his all and not hold anything back. This is what people of his soon to be status did in their spare-time. They trained, sometimes alone and sometimes with comrades. They trained so that when the time came they would be best prepared to protect the people of their village or to further reinforce it. Thankfully, Kichiru felt that even if he got carried away with their sparring session that he would be able to use the opportunity to practice the medical techniques he had been learning on his own. They weren't as flashy as those who were specially trained within the walls of the Omni-Prime Medical Facility, but they would certainly do for any minor wounds he would be able to cause.

Yet that train of thought was derailed almost instantaneously as he watched Hakuren collapse to the ground without any prior notice. She had stated that it was difficult for her to travel outside of her home on her own, and this seemed to be the consequences of that. "Hakuren!" Regardless of that, it did not take very long for Kichiru to completely disregard the battle which was only about a second from commencing before he ran over and dropped down onto both of his knees at Hakuren's side. At this point, Yanjirou had already checked for her pulse, though that didn't seem to quell Kichiru's concerns.

"Watch out Yanjirou. I need a little bit of space." A deep breath entered filled his lungs as he placed his gloved hands over Hakuren's chest. He shut his eyes for a moment as to focus on the technique as he began concentrating his chakra towards the palms of his hands, though not in an aggressive way as might have been done with some techniques. This technique required a special blending of the physical and spiritual aspects of chakra in order to take on unique properties. To those watching a dim green glow would begin emitting from his hands as he attempted to assess the damage that had been done. Although he wasn't completely sure what he was doing, he managed to at least ascertain a general picture of what was ailing her.

Within his mind appeared a picture of the human body as he had seen it in own of the textbooks given to them at the academy. His hands would be placed right over where the lungs would be, and as such the picture in his mind filled in that detail of the lungs, watching them slowly compress and then expand. Good.. She's still able to breath. His hands moved upward and to the right as the image of her lungs in his mind began to fade and was soon replaced by that of a crudely imagined heart. "One...Two...Three... Her heart is beating slowly." Yet he knew very well that the extent of his technique would only be able to heal minors wounds as he was not nearly skilled enough to heal whatever was ailing her heart. Heart... Heart... Fainting.. Blood? Without wasting another second he removed one of his hands from her body, the green glow ending as he did so, and towards his belt pouch. With a flick of his wrist he opened up the pouch and reached in for a small pill-bottle containing, if anybody would look closely enough to recognize, blood pills, which worked as a temporary fix to restore blood to the body. Regardless of whether or not this would be a solution, he knew that taking a single pill would not risk any damage to the body. Assured of this, he popped the pill into Hakuren's mouth and moved her jaw and throat to induce chewing and then swallowing of the pill.

Perhaps.. the technique simply wore out her chakra reserves? But.. that quickly? He then reached back into the pouch and pulled out a small bottle. Quickly popping the cap off it, he reached back with his right hand, which then too lost its green glow, and propped her head up slightly as he poured the contents of the bottle into her mouth. His left hand then began slowly massaging her throat in order to induce swallowing once more to make sure she didn't choke on the liquid. Once he was sure of that, he simply sat beside her, realizing now that his eyes had been closed the entire time. Opening them, he looked exasperated towards Yanjirou and the white-haired man. "I think she should be okay." A smile crossed his lips as he nodded towards the others.

It seemed that the day was not yet over, even though Kichiru had just used up a decent maount of his chakra. He had not yet truly mastered the technique he had used on Hakuren, and as such in his moment of worry he had used up a decent amount more chakra than a trained med-nin would have in his situation. With a nod he replied "Sure thing. I did promise you after all." before grabbing another vial of the same liquid he gave to Hakuren and pouring the liquid into his mouth. Oddly enough, it had a rather sweet taste to it, unlike most medicines that would be given in hospitals. Within moments he felt his body re-energizing as the liquid replenished most, if not all, of his depleted chakra. "Alright, I'm ready!"

He would stand up, making sure to move around Yanjirou and about ten meters away from him, in order to guide the sparring match away from Hakuren out of fear of accidentally harming her if things were to get serious. And, by the look of the blade Yanjirou drew from it's sheath, it seemed that was exactly the right call for the cautious Kichiru. He was doing his best to focus on the situation, though his eyes appeared to be locked on the still unconscious Hakuren. Had he done everything he could? Worse so, was it possible he had made the situation worse? They weren't terribly far from the hospital. Shouldn't they-

It was then that Kichiru's eyes snapped back onto Yanjirou as the boy leaped forward with the tip of his blade pointed right towards Kichiru's neck. Readying himself into a defensive stance, which he had practiced for weeks at this point due to his previous hesitation towards causing too much harm, he was able to slip out of the way, thrusting his open palm into the dulled side of the blade in order to hopefully throw Yanjirou off balance. Whatever it was about the gloves gifted to him by Kasumi, they seemed to guide his movements. At this, it almost appeared as if they had a mind of their own, able to reinforce points of contact with a small amount of chakra in order to lessen the damage done. Perhaps it was all in his head, or maybe his sister really had left him much more than a pair of gloves.

"Coming at me with a sword? I guess you really are serious Yanjirou-san. Here goes nothing." His hands quickly moved into a set of hand-seals Alright.. Just like I practiced... With the conclusion of the final seal, Yanjirou would begin to feel the ground beneath their feet rumbling. Within moments, a burst of mud erupted from the ground right in front of Kichiru and spread as quickly as fire towards Yanjirou's feet, attempting to throw him off-balance as movement in the specially-created mud would become far more difficult if he hadn't managed to dodge the initial contact with the technique. He grinned "You should watch where you're standing Yanjirou-san."

Hakuren has Chronic Anemia. Anemia is usually defined as a decrease in the amount of red blood cells (RBCs) or hemoglobin in the blood. It can also be defined as a lowered ability of the blood to carry oxygen. When anemia comes on slowly, the symptoms are often vague and may include: feeling tired, weakness, shortness of breath or a poor ability to exercise. Anemia that comes on quickly often has greater symptoms, which may include: confusion, feeling like one is going to pass out, loss of consciousness, or increased thirst. Kichhiru was right on the mark with his prescription. Blood pills should increase the production of the red blood cells she lacked thus allowing oxygen to be effectively carried through the body.

Hakuren was thankful the two gave her some distance for it supplied her space to work her magic. She gave up with using genjutsu for now. Instead she was going to wow them with some seriously intense ninjutsu. First she creates an earth golem. The golem resembled a large cat like a panther of the jungle. Unlike most who would use just any earth they can find, she made hers mostly out of coal. Deep within the earth she draws forth her minerals. The artificial creature arises out of the ground like a beast climbing out of a pool of water. The black panther walks around its summoner and Hakuren pats her companion on the head. Then she the proceeds to use her favorite jutsu she is known for and perfected the use of, Body Mind Switch. She would have to thank Osagi some time for it was him that gave her the idea. For some reason it never occurred to her that she could simply create a new body for her to possess. With her mind now within her creation her body falls unconscious once again.

She cast a combustion seal on her feline-self which covered herself in ruins like and active curse seal. Of often she finds people unaware that she is capable of casting jutsu even in such an unusual body. The ruin decorates her entire body like spots to a leopard. She lunges towards the two students and begins speaking and incantation “I am a monster. Monsters know no fear, monsters know no doubt. When faced with my enemy, I hesitate not. I am a weapon to destroy these. DEMON RAGE!” She lets loose a furious roar as she release the Immolation Armor she placed within her combustion seal. Flames erupt form her body like a blazing inferno and the burning coal glows a crimson red. Molten earth drips from her fangs and she angrily growls at her two opponents. By mixing both the elements of earth and fire she unlocks a new advance element.

Battle Music
She goes into a complete rage and does a fury of swipes at Yanjirou with her claws. Her basic unarmed attacks may not do too much damage on their own, but with her current state any physical contact would likely get someone seriously burned.

Episode 6: 'Big Fiery Cat Thing'| Side Story Shenanigans Arc said:
[col]Both of the young males attempted to check on and ensure the safety of Ghost Girl. In his book that made both of them pretty good people, so he would take to memories their names and faces.

Byanjirou and Young Stud.

So maybe his mind still wasn't in the best of conditions at this point in time. Yanjirou asked for him to once more begin his countdown, as it seemed the two boys were wanting to give it a go.

"Very well, 1....2....3!"

And with that the action would start as Yanjirou seemed to wish to show off his physical abilities by hurrying forward with his blade, while Kichiru wanted to maintain some space between them by utilizing a skill Roku himself had in his arsenal to slow down his opponent to even the playing field. Someone who did not wish to even the playing field was the newly risen Ghost Girl who drew a creature from the ground. It was something along the likes of his Earth Golem but with some creativity used.

Oh, I guess it doesn't just have to be a big rock dude, huh...

She then Ghost Girl'ed herself into the creature and began a series of zany antics that supped up the beast until it was essentially a moving hellcat of lava. It was at this time that he started to question if the field was truly level, as Ghost Girl was putting out some power that would cause himself to sweat.

"Woah, woah... better be careful..."

He didn't want to see any of the three get hurt, but he was curious of a couple things so he was going to allow this to continue a bit further; he wanted to see the extent of Ghost Girls' abilities, he wanted to see what all Yanjirou could do as he seemed the most confident of the trio and lastly he wanted to see if Kichiru, clearly the least experienced of the bunch, could do in such an unfavorable situation. I mean, he was still looking for students after all...

Thankfully, Yanjirou didn't have to show that he was entirely prepared to miss his attack, but the deflection still managed to catch the young Byakko off guard. Not only that, but the uneven footing created by Kichiru's jutsu made the boy begin to fall to the side. Physical training finally managed to pay off for the bookworm, however, as he immediately knew to allow the new found momentum to carry him into his next attack, swinging his leg up in hopes to connect with the other boy's face, an attempt to knock him off balance as well to give him a large enough window to recover and strike again.

But something seemed off... Almost as if the heat of the battle was actually heating up their surroundings as well. Strange... Is this what battles were really like? So intense that they change weather patterns, even when underground? No.. The boy hadn't realized it, but a large, flaming, stone panther was approaching him. Rapidly. And it wasn't until the last second, "flames" singeing his hair as he narrowly evaded the beast's claws.

"What the hell!?" It was difficult to believe that the woman had recovered so quickly, how could she possibly have summoned something, let alone had enough energy to gather the chakra needed? Were shinobi really capable of this, even when they were as frail as her? That was beside the point, Yanji gripped his arm, blood dripping down as he stared at the demon before him. "I would almost think she's mocking Byakko..." The boy thought, gritting his teeth. Though, he knew full well that wasn't the purpose of the beast, simple human reactions even got the best of him.. His first reaction was to gather his thoughts: There was a massive, flaming beast pursuing him, Kichiru may be dazed (if his hit connected), and the drunken man had no intentions to intervene, leaving them with a simple "Be careful." After allowing himself a few moments to scan his environment, he noticed that the girl's body was still lying on the ground. Obviously he was too focused on Kichiru and his own battle, but it could really only mean two things. 1: The beast was summoned by either the white haired man, or another person they were not aware of, or 2: She had possessed her own creation. After all, she did say she could possess inanimate objects.

"Kichiru, if you intend to fight this creature - as I do - then I have a plan. Though it will require you to keep it off of me for a few moments." He said, giving the other boy a few moments to make his decision. Whether he received an answer or not, the boy doubted that the beast would back down just because Kichiru decided he didn't want to participate, so he would immediately rush to the girl's unconscious body. If his battle-buddy was successful, and gave him enough time to reach the body, then he would quickly pull his knife from a holster hidden beneath his coat, prop the girl up onto his lap, and place the blade against her throat.

"You may want to back down, there's no need for a display of power." The boy had never been adept at threats, so just to prove that he wasn't playing around - or at least to make it seem like he wasn't - he held the knife just hard enough so her throat would bleed. "Make your decision now, or things may get messy."

He was certain this his jutsu had connected, watching as the earth beneath Yanjirou started to twist and turn as the dirt became mud and threw him off balance. Though, unfortunately for Kichiru, that wouldn't be the most surprising thing he'd see that day. His eyes widened as he watched Hakuren stand up, only about a minute after he had attempted to treat her, only to summon a large panther and then collapse once again. It wouldn't be long before the panther would erupt in an aura of fire. As Kichiru watched, simultaneously in awe and fear of the creature, he would unfortunately be completely unaware of the oncoming attack from Yanjirou, seemingly having been able to use his new-found momentum from being tossed off balance in the form of a kick. Instead of dodging it or deflecting the blow as he did earlier, he was tossed to the side as the kick connected straight into his jaw. Pain radiated from his jaw outward as he felt himself hit the cold ground beneath him, though it wouldn't compare to the pain he felt on that day in Soon's Haven. He felt that familiar tingling on his back, as if urging his thoughts away from such a memory and back into the present.

“Alright... I'll trust you Yanjirou-san. Good luck.” He spoke as he lifted himself off the ground, gazing deep into the burning red eyes of the panther that Hakuren had possessed. Sweat poured down his face as he felt the heat radiating off the panther's form, even from across the field where they had ended up during the first moments of their spar. Was he really going to hold off a beast of such power? Even if it were possible, he would likely be burned to a crisp if he got anywhere near it. Regardless of his fears, he didn't have much time to react as the panther leaped into action, bounding straight towards Yanjirou. He had a few seconds left to make his decision and wasting even a millisecond could result in Yanjirou suffering serious injuries.

Nothing to fear but fear itself.. That's what the man in Soon's told him. Regardless of the darkness that man held, those words would drive Kichiru forward towards the path that the panther would have to take towards Yanjirou. Without hesitation he began forming a series of seals which resulted in a tendril of water striking out from his palm towards the ground at his side, growing rapidly until it was the shape of a whip. No.. That won't be enough.. He thought as he continued his stride, deciding to attempt the seals once more, holding the existing whip in his right hand, resulting in a second whip forming out of the palm of his left hand. Striding forward towards the path of the beast, a whip composed entirely of water and sharpened to steel-like strength through his concentration of chakra in each of his hands, Kichiru sprang into action. From his angle, he was able to observe the side of the panther as it ran towards Yanjirou. It might be a long-shot, but he had to take the opportunity given to him and trust both in himself and in Yanjirou's plan. He snapped out the two whips towards the giant monstrosity, hoping to use each whip to ensnare two of it's massive legs. That would be the easy part. The hard part would be trying to focus his natural affinity to water-based Ninjutsu to stop the creature, or at least hold it off long enough for Yanjirou to complete his plan, which seemed to involve threatening the life of Hakuren with a knife in order to force her to retreat back into her body.

He wouldn't actually do it... Right?

This originally came out here to train her genjutsu and that is just what she is going to do. The two students already volunteered, so they have no room to complain. Of course genjutsu works best when the victim is not bracing against it. She is why she went all out ninjutsu; it was a distraction and it worked. Following after Yanjirou she casts and False Success on Kichiru and an Untruth on Yanjirou.
[OOC: Technically you can resist the genjutsu. If you decide to resist please go to the what really happen tab, otherwise go to assign tab, (do not respond to other persons tab only your own or what really happen). Roku go to what really happen because you're not effected.]

Hakuren is hot of Yanjirou’s heel for it did not take her long to realize want he was planning. She knew she should have put a ring of fire around her body to protect it. She had hoped they would be too concerned with the golem to thing about her main body. This was an error in her judgement that she will have to correct.

Immediately she runs after Yanjirou in hopes to get to him before he get to his main body, but unfortunately she seemed to have over looked a very important part of this fight; she had two opponent. To her dismay the two student were working together to defeat her. This made things difficult for as she tried to catch Yanjirou in time a tendril of water grabs her foot. The sudden grab causing her to fall to the ground and another tentacle goes to wrap around her other hind leg thus ensnaring her. She turns to look at Kichiru and growl angrily as if to tell him to release her or be next on her hit list.

[col]He would shift is position from sitting to laying as he continued to watch the odd display before him. As he laid upon his side, he would place the bottle onto his left index finger and balance it. As it balanced, he would raise his arm into the air. Fine feats involving his body were rather simple, and he was a natural fidgetter. His eyes would remain on the action as the two boys reacted quickly to avoid the actions of the seemingly wild cat. Byanjirou then began to strategize with Young Stud to attempt to figure out how to handle an opponent that seemed to have the upper hand on them.

Byanjirou's plan was one of cunning with a hint of ruthlessness, as utilized the other boy to distract Fire Cat while he booked it for the lying body of Hakuren.

Very clever, I could probably utilize that talent.

Young Stud, who came off as a very honest person, took his role in stride and pulled out a dual ninjutsu in an attempt to stop the Fire Cat.

Water technique, not sure if the greatest to go against lava but definitely like the effort. Also had enough wherewithal to use something at range as to keep from getting close to that thing.

Lastly, his observation went to Fire Cat. The beast seemed to avoid Young Studs attempts to ensnare her, but the time expended on that dodge allowed Yanjirou's impromptu plan to succeed for its first step. Then something odd happened; the boys seemed to freeze in place. Was this someone finally utilizing the skill that the female mentioned, in what now seemed like forever ago. Either way, the boys did not seem to be reacting as the fiery creation was now lunging at Byanjirou. What would be heard next would occur in a split second as a loud pop would echo throughout the training ground followed by the sound of the bottle slamming to the ground and shattering.

Now imbued with excess chakra from opening one of his internal gates, Roku would appear with his full speed between the Fire Cat and Byanjirou. The female would be the first to notice his movements, even seeing through most of his speed as she was the closest to him in terms of physical ability. Meanwhile, even if they were already in genjutsu's, the boys would not have notice what had occurred other than Roku randomly appearing before one of them. The reckless man stood between the white haired young one and the pissed off lava cat. He would turn to the cat and hold his hand out before him.

"Okay, okay... no need to go too wild with them, they are just young'ns."

Depending on the actions of Hakuren, Roku would either take the lava-y lunge or would halt her attack. In all honesty, he was excited to see what happened.

Damn, lost my booze....

"What the hell!?" Yanjirou questioned, his mind clouded by the genjutsu cast upon him. The boy could have sworn that the girl was possessing the golem she'd summoned, or at least passed out from over exertion, but now she was breathing fire in his face? It all happened in moments... The fire that, at the time, seemed so real and dangerous, suddenly disappeared with the pop of glass shattering against hard sand, his mind began to process what was going on, and he realized that the approaching heat wasn't from the girl, but...

"Egh!" He grunted as he quickly attempted to roll back, dropping the knife and attempting to pull Hakuren with him. Despite her being his opponent, it was human nature to fight for survival. Yourself primarily, though also others when given the chance - especially when that aspect was trained to be a stronger urge. Not that he'd done any training like that... It was simply reactionary, as she was a living breathing thing that appeared to be in just as much danger as himself. Just as the boy finished his roll, he would suddenly see the drunken man blocking his view of the approaching beast. The simple act of attempting to stop the cat with a single hand, and the fact that he just appeared out of no where, proved that this man was more than he appeared. More than just a drunk that happened to wander into the training grounds. Still a drunk though...

That point aside, he couldn't rely on a single man to stop a creature like that. He had no way of telling exactly how powerful he was, even with his impressive display of speed and confidence. As much as he wanted to believe in the man, he'd read time and time again how catastrophic that can be if your trust is misplaced. So the boy, Hakuren still in his arms - assuming she didn't return to her original body and move away from Yanjirou - shuffled his way out of harm's way. Carrying another human being was tougher than he originally anticipated...

The moment he believe they were far enough away from what was transpiring, Yanjirou would place Haku on the ground and watch what happened, hoping that he didn't already miss it with how quickly the panther was approaching, and with how close the white haired man was when he appeared. If there was one thing he knew for certain, it was that there would be questions once this "spar" was over... Mostly about the sudden attack from Haku and the surprising strength - or possibly stupidity - of the drunk.

Kichiru stuck out his tongue at the roaring fiery beast as he successfully managed to ensnare both sets of its legs using his watery whips. "No way am I letting you go!" He shouted out as he smiled whilst staring directly into the lava-filled eyes of the panther. Before he had been scared that he would be unable to stop the monster from hurting Yanjirou, however now he could only feel confidence and elation at the fact that he truly succeeded at stopping the beast in time, at least that's what he thought had happened. He opened his mouth to shout out "That's it Hakuren, we beat you! Give up!" as he looked over towards Yanjirou, hoping they wouldn't have to go so far as to make good on the threat to harm Hakuren's unconscious body. He was confident that Yanjirou wouldn't kill the girl; any damage he would make would likely force Hakuren back into her body.

KSCHH

The sudden sound of the bottle breaking confused Kichiru greatly as he looked back only to see the bottle still intact within the white-haired man's grasp. Yet, he clearly heard it? He stared intently at the panther as he felt something gnawing at him at the back of his mind, something he felt like he was missing. Ahah! He grinned as he realized it; she is a Genjutsu-expert. She told them that herself. While he was not necessarily extremely observant, he did have a willpower that could rival most others. While it could be taken as stubbornness in social situations, in this situation it was the mental fortitude that allowed him to break through the walls of the illusion and view the world before him as it really appeared. He watched the scene behind him instantaneously change as the white-haired man was no longer sitting there and his bottle was shattered into pieces where he was last scene.

Looking back ahead of him, he noticed that his whips had actually failed to ensnare the creature and it was instead still leaping forward towards Yanjirou. However, it seemed that the white-haired man had managed to move in the path of the panther, simply ordering Hakuren to stand down at that point as she had gone too far against the two students. Wow.. He was sitting behind me... Is he really that fast.. Or was it the illusion? Kichiru let go of the two whips, allowing them to fall to the ground and disperse into lines of harmless water which would soak into the ground below their feet. Regardless of the illusion, the man would have had to have moved faster than Kichiru had ever seen someone move in order to intercept the path of the panther in time.

Amazing..

Hakuren was surprised at Roku’s sudden intervention and he couldn’t have timed it worst. He went to stand between her and her target after she already began to pounce. She would stop her attack if she could, but once all paws leaves the ground there’s no stopping. Considering the fact that she can’t stop in midair, she did the only thing should could do. She cancels all maintained jutsu and hoped for the best. Her consciousness returns to her body, the flame armor around her pet dissipated and the golem became a lifeless hunk of earth. However the coal would still be red hot from the flame and will still be hurtling at Roku.

“Sorry about that I guest I over did it.” Hakuren takes out a scroll and opens it flat on the ground. Inside were what looked like seals for summoning. Slapping a hand on the scroll and sneakily casts a nightmare jutsu on the three of them, she attempt to fool them into believe she is summoning an entity from a contract. She was sure the two student were far enough below her level to easily fall under her genjutsu, however Roku was a different story. Perhaps in his drunken state he too will be effected. It’s not that she wanted her creation to fight Roku. She just thought he would appreciate to see what or who the two students were fighting.

In a puff of smoke a woman stands before them. The woman was mature and well in the prime of her life. She had both elegant curves and youthful skin. Her hair was crimson like it was dyed with blood and tied into a long pony tail that when down to her knees. A leaf handband covers her left eye with a single scratch going straight through the symbol. This normally meant the shinobi went missing from said village. Her right eye was a sapphire blue and it stares at the two students as if sizing them up. The woman wore a blue kimono with a white lotus motif on it; it was like she was wearing a pond on her back. Tucked in her sash was a sheathed katana. After looking the two over the woman addresses Hakuren, “Why is it you summon me here girl?” Her tone was that of annoyance.

“These two are to be your sparring partners. Please be gentle; they are merely students.”

The woman spits at the ground and says, “Let’s see how much you learned in the academy?” The woman the lowers the top part of her kimono and slides her arms out of her sleeves. Bandages were wraped around her chest completely covering her dignity while giving her support. Now on her right arm was revealed a Tsuchimakado seal used for sealing dark energies. Her right hand grabs the hilt of her blade and she prepares to strike. “Assume your fighting stance.”

[ooc: Again you can choose to be unaffected by genjutsu, which would lead her to be talking to herself. Also sorry for lateness but I'm experiencing some issues with the site. Even now the page isn't loading up right.]

[col]The hell cat would seem to fall apart in the air as Hakuren canceled her skills. Unfortunately the laws of physics were going to be acting against Roku today as the burning coals of what remained of the creations would still be coming for him.

Good thing I had whiskey...

He would glance back towards Byanjirou. He did not wish to have the young one deal with the burning shards of earth, so Roku would quickly begin to do by far the dumbest thing he had done for today; he would start snatching the debris out of the air. Each catch would cause a sizzling sound and either be accompanied by the smell of burning leather, that he was wearing, or flesh, I guess you could also say what he was wearing. After gathering up all the debris he would toss the rock collection to the side and start to dust off his pants, you know the important things after handling burning rocks.

"Don't worry about it, I get a little too fired up at times as well."

The burn marks that covered Roku's body would look rather nasty as they were various degrees of burns, but soon it would appear that his flesh was actually starting to heal from the wounds. His body had a natural ability for healing (Healing Factor) but once he opened the Gate of Healing (still using them since this was before the Kin Removal =[) it was almost like he had never been hurt at all. Well his jacket was ruined. So now the shirtless, drunk Sennin would be standing there before the three of them. Hakuren would not waste any time and would begin her next steps in the training of the boys, but unbeknownst to Roku was that he would also be caught in this genjutsu as well. Luckily, at least how he would see it, this was one of his favorite kind of illusions; an attractive woman.

As she appeared, a blush would wash over Roku's face as he started to instinctively flex. By this point, he was in his own little world as the genjutsu began to beckon the boys.

"Another pretty one... I need to hang out at the academy more often..."

It was probably best he was left to his own devices at this time.

It was just one thing after the next... After the white haired man managed to catch each individual coal that flew toward him, which was quite the feat that Yanji really didn't have the time to appreciate, Hakuren was right back to the spar. Which, at this point, the young Byakko assumed to be over. This time, she would summon a strange woman who looked rather experienced. On her face was the symbol of Konohagakure, one he recognized from several books, but also one he assumed to be lost to a war. He wasn't sure what the slash through the leaf symbolized, but he could only guess it was some form of defiance. Which would explain why she still wore it. There was still one thing that felt off, however... Something that gave the boy a sense of unease which lingered in the back of his mind.

He'd read up on contracts, as his clan worshiped one of the great beasts that make such an agreement, and he'd never seen or heard of one so strange. Could this be one of the rarer contracts? There was really no telling just how many there were, and exactly what the ones accessible were, but for them to take a human shape and bare the symbol of a fallen human village?

"You seem to be very experienced in battle, and despite my knowing I will lose if I attempt to fight you, I will do so anyways. But first, I have a few questions I'd like answered." Yanjirou stated, confronting the illusion before him, "First, exactly what kind of contract beast are you? I'm not familiar with any kind of 'human' contract, and for one so powerful to bare the symbol of a fallen village, it only leads me to believe that you are some kind of fanatic. Is that the case?" The boy would wait for a reply, and would not draw his blade out of defense if the genjutsu attacked him.

"Second, what are those symbols on your arm? The mere sight of them make me uneasy, and it is clear they aren't just normal tattoos." Once again, the boy would wait for a response. If both were given, then he would give the woman what she wanted. If not, then he would see no reason to continue with the spar, which surprisingly hadn't ended. Negotiation was an important skill, and those unwilling to comply would not be humored.

Kichiru watched in awe as the man managed to block Yanjirou from the molten-hot pieces of coal that flew his way, leaving the white-haired man slightly scorched yet still standing there as if he hadn't even taken a single scratch. Perhaps this was a side-effect of the alcohol, or maybe they were dealing with someone of a great deal of power? Either way, the young student was amazed at what unfolded in front of his eyes within the frame of a few seconds. This was the power one could reach in order to protect others, and it was the power he so badly desired so he could be just like the heroes of Sunagakure.

However, it didn't seem that the young boys would be done yet with their battle as Hakuren pulled out a long scroll, allowing it's contents to roll out in front of her on the ground before slamming her palm downward into the strange runic symbols that Kichiru had never before seen. Just as she did this Kichiru watched in confusion as a burst of smoke appeared from the scroll. Settling, the three of them soon were met with the figure of a woman, though something seemed rather off about her. Covering one of her eyes was the symbol of a village the young boy had never heard of, though it seemed that Yanjirou was a bit more knowledgeable on the subject.

“Huh..Contract beast? You know what she is?” He said looked towards Yanjirou, realizing just how much of a difference there was in the intelligence between the two boys. Kichiru wasn't an idiot by any standards as he often spent time reading about the heroes of Sunagakure as well as the various parts of the village, but his knowledge about the world outside of Suna was clearly lacking.

Regardless of Yanjirou's questioning and the strange babbling of the white-haired man, who appeared to be enjoying the appearance of the strange creature far more than he likely should have, this woman was supposed to be their sparring partner and Kichiru didn't want to be the type to back down from a challenge. To keep with that standard he moved into a defensive-stance and awaited the start of the combat, knowing very well that if he could keep a calm mind he could likely dodge the first attack the woman sent out and then be able to work together with Yanjirou to take her down as long as they didn't fall into any further Genjutsu.

"Yanjirou, we've got this." Kichiru smiled as he looked towards his fellow student, giving him a thumb up before pulling back into his defensive stance.

OOC: Really sorry for the late post.

The Night Mare is type of creation jutsu similar to the rock golem Hakuren summoned earlier. As a creation she can act independently from her creator. Mara as she likes to call her is not something she made up on the spot. It is an illusion she has spent countless nights creating. An entire back story filled with artificial memories were written into the jutsu so that she can act and react as a normal sentient being. Hakuren was quite proud of her creation and was interested to see how it will interact with three individuals. She expects this to be as much of a training for her as it is to them.

“A fanatic, is that what you think of me?” Mara gives a hearty laugh before relaxing her stance. She had one objection to his inquires, though he might not like the answers. However if she is to answer these question she will insist on first things first. “Very well my child let us get to know each other.” She then glances over to Roku with a sultry smile. “And perhaps we can get to know each other a little more afterwards in private.” Her tone was mischievous and seductive towards him.

Hakuren clears her throat loudly to get Mara to continue with the student instead of seducing herself into Roku’s pants. “Oh right, I am Nigiri Mara former shinobi of the hidden village of leaf and who might you three be.” Mara would strongly encourage a proper introduction which includes both given and family name. This is because she is not one to refer to a person she just met on given name basis. If one of the students called them by her given name, she will correct them with an appropriate honorific attracted to it.

[col]The fake female would direct a comment to Roku, which he would respond with a wink and a finger point.

She knows what's up.

Within his heart of hearts, he knew none of this made sense, but at the moment none of what was happening really made a whole hell of a lot of sense. So instead of stressing over it, he was just going to go with the flow. Maybe get intimate with a demon lady, maybe tame a lava cat, maybe figure out just what the hell a ghost girl was and how it existed, maybe ask Byanjirou how he got white hair and maybe ask Kichiru where he got the balls to hit on older women?

Nice.

Either way, with all these thoughts dancing in his head, the tall shinobi would stumble back a bit before ultimately falling upon his bottom. Letting out a loud yawn he would give one more half glance at the current on-goings before muttering;

"Otay, me see soon"

And with that, one of the three appointed Sennin of the village, would come tumbling from his sitting position to the ground. While the young ones would continue their spar, the snoring of the man could be heard in the background. If the combatants noticed him they would probably wonder if what he was doing was safe, or maybe they would dismiss him anyways for the random drunk he had been, or just maybe they won't be concerned after seeing his rapid healing ability. Whether they took the log on the ground in consideration or not, Roku would be peacefully transported into a dream world that one could not write about openly where children might stumble upon it.

Nice...
