Kichiru did his best to keep his mind focused on the prospect of protecting someone he cared for. Although it would not be a permanent solution, it could at least save him from disappointing his potential new friend Yanjirou. He would need to give it his all and not hold anything back. This is what people of his soon to be status did in their spare-time. They trained, sometimes alone and sometimes with comrades. They trained so that when the time came they would be best prepared to protect the people of their village or to further reinforce it. Thankfully, Kichiru felt that even if he got carried away with their sparring session that he would be able to use the opportunity to practice the medical techniques he had been learning on his own. They weren't as flashy as those who were specially trained within the walls of the Omni-Prime Medical Facility, but they would certainly do for any minor wounds he would be able to cause.
Yet that train of thought was derailed almost instantaneously as he watched Hakuren collapse to the ground without any prior notice. She had stated that it was difficult for her to travel outside of her home on her own, and this seemed to be the consequences of that. "Hakuren!" Regardless of that, it did not take very long for Kichiru to completely disregard the battle which was only about a second from commencing before he ran over and dropped down onto both of his knees at Hakuren's side. At this point, Yanjirou had already checked for her pulse, though that didn't seem to quell Kichiru's concerns.
"Watch out Yanjirou. I need a little bit of space." A deep breath entered filled his lungs as he placed his gloved hands over Hakuren's chest. He shut his eyes for a moment as to focus on the technique as he began concentrating his chakra towards the palms of his hands, though not in an aggressive way as might have been done with some techniques. This technique required a special blending of the physical and spiritual aspects of chakra in order to take on unique properties. To those watching a dim green glow would begin emitting from his hands as he attempted to assess the damage that had been done. Although he wasn't completely sure what he was doing, he managed to at least ascertain a general picture of what was ailing her.
Within his mind appeared a picture of the human body as he had seen it in own of the textbooks given to them at the academy. His hands would be placed right over where the lungs would be, and as such the picture in his mind filled in that detail of the lungs, watching them slowly compress and then expand. Good.. She's still able to breath. His hands moved upward and to the right as the image of her lungs in his mind began to fade and was soon replaced by that of a crudely imagined heart. "One...Two...Three... Her heart is beating slowly." Yet he knew very well that the extent of his technique would only be able to heal minors wounds as he was not nearly skilled enough to heal whatever was ailing her heart. Heart... Heart... Fainting.. Blood? Without wasting another second he removed one of his hands from her body, the green glow ending as he did so, and towards his belt pouch. With a flick of his wrist he opened up the pouch and reached in for a small pill-bottle containing, if anybody would look closely enough to recognize, blood pills, which worked as a temporary fix to restore blood to the body. Regardless of whether or not this would be a solution, he knew that taking a single pill would not risk any damage to the body. Assured of this, he popped the pill into Hakuren's mouth and moved her jaw and throat to induce chewing and then swallowing of the pill.
Perhaps.. the technique simply wore out her chakra reserves? But.. that quickly? He then reached back into the pouch and pulled out a small bottle. Quickly popping the cap off it, he reached back with his right hand, which then too lost its green glow, and propped her head up slightly as he poured the contents of the bottle into her mouth. His left hand then began slowly massaging her throat in order to induce swallowing once more to make sure she didn't choke on the liquid. Once he was sure of that, he simply sat beside her, realizing now that his eyes had been closed the entire time. Opening them, he looked exasperated towards Yanjirou and the white-haired man. "I think she should be okay." A smile crossed his lips as he nodded towards the others.
It seemed that the day was not yet over, even though Kichiru had just used up a decent maount of his chakra. He had not yet truly mastered the technique he had used on Hakuren, and as such in his moment of worry he had used up a decent amount more chakra than a trained med-nin would have in his situation. With a nod he replied "Sure thing. I did promise you after all." before grabbing another vial of the same liquid he gave to Hakuren and pouring the liquid into his mouth. Oddly enough, it had a rather sweet taste to it, unlike most medicines that would be given in hospitals. Within moments he felt his body re-energizing as the liquid replenished most, if not all, of his depleted chakra. "Alright, I'm ready!"
He would stand up, making sure to move around Yanjirou and about ten meters away from him, in order to guide the sparring match away from Hakuren out of fear of accidentally harming her if things were to get serious. And, by the look of the blade Yanjirou drew from it's sheath, it seemed that was exactly the right call for the cautious Kichiru. He was doing his best to focus on the situation, though his eyes appeared to be locked on the still unconscious Hakuren. Had he done everything he could? Worse so, was it possible he had made the situation worse? They weren't terribly far from the hospital. Shouldn't they-
It was then that Kichiru's eyes snapped back onto Yanjirou as the boy leaped forward with the tip of his blade pointed right towards Kichiru's neck. Readying himself into a defensive stance, which he had practiced for weeks at this point due to his previous hesitation towards causing too much harm, he was able to slip out of the way, thrusting his open palm into the dulled side of the blade in order to hopefully throw Yanjirou off balance. Whatever it was about the gloves gifted to him by Kasumi, they seemed to guide his movements. At this, it almost appeared as if they had a mind of their own, able to reinforce points of contact with a small amount of chakra in order to lessen the damage done. Perhaps it was all in his head, or maybe his sister really had left him much more than a pair of gloves.
"Coming at me with a sword? I guess you really are serious Yanjirou-san. Here goes nothing." His hands quickly moved into a set of hand-seals Alright.. Just like I practiced... With the conclusion of the final seal, Yanjirou would begin to feel the ground beneath their feet rumbling. Within moments, a burst of mud erupted from the ground right in front of Kichiru and spread as quickly as fire towards Yanjirou's feet, attempting to throw him off-balance as movement in the specially-created mud would become far more difficult if he hadn't managed to dodge the initial contact with the technique. He grinned "You should watch where you're standing Yanjirou-san."
