Thunder echoed across the jagged peaks of Lightning Country's snow-capped spine of the world. Lightning tore across the midnight-black sky, nothing but dark clouds covering the sky. The lightning illuminating the pure-white snow that covered the entirety of any land within sight. A snowstorm was, unfortunately, raging across Cloud's desolate peaks where Kaen was traveling. Unlike this time he came prepared, an enchanted scarf wrapped around his neck and upper portion of his torso. This combined with his own incredible fiery aura kept him safe from the elements that might have slowly killed a lesser man. But Kaen was anything but that, wasn't he? Hybrid or not, he was of the Flame Court which embued with him with an unstoppable force of power. He would survive this and everything else before him.
As Kaen scaled the dangerous towers of snow and rock, he came to the peak of one of the various mountains. From there he could see... nothing. The storm was still rushing by him, threatening to push him over the edge. But Kaen remained strong and steadfast, peering out into the blizzard that fiercely seethed around him. It felt so good, right here, right now in this spot. Like a bird stretching his wings to feel the wind rushing through his feathers, Kaen too lifted his arms high in elation and jubilation. He was back, he was free, nothing was stopping him. No rules or regulations from superiors, even Kasen seemed to slip from his mind as his Ancient blood coursed intensely through his veins. Kaen whispered into the wind that billowed around him. "I'm back, are you prepared...?" And then all at once he released his power as he screamed into the sky. Roaring like a rampaging Sunan Carnosaur, Kaen's energy rapidly climbed, a beam of crimson energy streamed into the sky and through the clouds. A power so intense it pushed the clouds apart sending arcs of lightning rippling across the night sky. The energy being expelled rushed back into his body all at once, Kaen's breath exuding large plumes of steam. A few flecks of snow silently fell beside him, but no more followed. The sky above was clear enough to see the stars. Clouds quickly began rolling back in to fill the void, but Kaen was already on the move. Pushing himself off with his feet, Kaen took a leap of faith and plunged headfirst off the top of the mountain into the dark depths below.[OOC - The bells toll for thee once more]
