Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yuna was slotted to teach a class on chakra. Such a thing that is essential for all ninja. She took an obstacle course testing zone that had its own miniature lake with a small island in the middle of it. Today she wasn't in Anbu gear. As such, any whom would see her would think that she is merely a Jounin. She wore black sleek armor with a red-ish purple cape that similarly matches her hair. The Anbu Sennin had a clipboard with the name of the student that will be attending todays class. Hashigaki Taro. Hm... She thought of the name. Mainly what stood out to her was the bloodline surname.

THe pond itself was shallow enough for young academy students to learn safely so it shouldn't be too punishing for those that don't learn quickly about chakra. Nevertheless, Yuna had a set of towels and an area to make a safe controlled fire ready to warm any potential student that takes a dunk. Though... Unlike other ninja, the Hashigaki, most of those with that bloodline, can't see. Which could prove to be another set of obstacles for the young Taro to learn to overcome. From what Yuna knows about that bloodline is that while they are blind, they are still able to find a way to 'see' the world around themselves and be hyper aware of things.

She wondered if it had to do with sound, after all, that bloodline's specialty is sound. If so, it won't be as different, in a sense, to how she detects people, by listening to their blood flows.

The sun had not yet fully chased away the morning cold when Hashigaki Taro closed the door of his home. The dry sound of wood fitting into its frame lingered a second longer than it should have in the quiet interior, as if the house itself resisted being empty once again. He had lived alone for two years now, and though the space was small and austere, he knew every corner through the memory of his steps and the echoes the walls returned. He adjusted the white bandage over his eyes with an automatic gesture and took a deep breath before moving on. The path toward the obstacle course was not unfamiliar to him, but neither was it routine, and so he had not yet fully memorized it. Taro moved forward with measured steps, attentive to every sound that could help mark the way to his destination. The scrape of sandals against stone, the voices of villagers just beginning their day, the hum of the wind sliding between the elevated structures of Kumogakure. Each sound drew an invisible map that guided him forward. A walking stick was unnecessary; the rhythm of his breathing and the cadence of his steps were enough to orient him. As he moved farther from the more populated areas, the environment began to change. The mountains, ever-present, revealed themselves through the way the wind broke against them and returned with force, through how echoes lingered a little longer before fading away. There, the world sounded different.

Taro was not nervous. Still, there was a faint, persistent restlessness beneath his skin, like a low vibration. It was not fear, but anticipation. This was no ordinary class. It was his first formal lesson as a student of the village, and not on just any subject, but on chakra, the very foundation of a ninja’s life. Yet that was not what unsettled him most. What held his attention was who his instructor would be: Chigokai Yuna, the legendary kunoichi of the matriarchal Chigokai clan. Someone with such a reputation was known throughout the village, even to someone who could not see. Stories traveled just as easily through voices as they did through sight.

When he reached the training circuit, Taro paused for a moment before fully stepping in. The place was strikingly still, far too calm to be empty. The water barely moved, but there was something else. His ears picked up subtle details, enough to confirm that he was not alone. He advanced a few more steps and stopped, standing upright with his hands relaxed at his sides. The unease was still there, but it did not control him. He had been raised to stand on his own, even in the face of the unknown. He inclined his head slightly in a respectful gesture, turning his face toward where he sensed the presence.

“Hashigaki Taro”, he introduced himself in a clear, controlled voice. “Student of the Kumogakure Academy. Thank you for receiving me for this instruction.”
