Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Physical Description:
Yasashi has tanned skin and golden eyes. His medium length dark brown hair is usually a little messy and is dyed red at a longer portion that goes down to his right shoulder. He stands at 5 feet 3 inches, a bit tall for his age. He has a skinny build that is slowly gaining the defined muscles of a shinobi. He usually wears a black and red track suit and a white tee shirt underneath. He will never be caught with out the good luck charm his mother gave him hanging around his neck.
Mental Description:
Yasashi is a troubled kid. He is struggling with his cursed bloodline and what it will take to use the abilities afforded to him at birth. Not to mention the trauma of losing his parents. On the surface, Yasashi seems like a reserved, pleasant, polite, and talented go getter. He does his best to portray this image, but those who can see past his façade will see the the thirst for power. The phrase burned into him by his savior "Become stronger so you can protect what matters." drives him forward despite the fact that deep down he is still a child afraid of the face of death he's witnessed more than any child should.

History:
Yasashi was given this name so that hopefully he would live a gentle and kind life. His father, Yamata, had run away from the village hidden in the clouds to avoid an arranged, political marriage ordered by the matriarch of the Chigokai clan. He wanted to marry his first love, Shihio, so left the clan and fled to the country side to live a simple life in the mountains. They lived a pleasant life together in a farming village and eventually had a son together, Yasashi. They were a happy and simple family. Yamata, despite his bloodline, was no ninja in fact he hadn't awakened the clan kekkei genkai. He had no idea his son would inherit the abilities that skipped him all together. Yasashi began to notice he could hear the blood flowing through the veins of those around him. He could even start to recognize his parents by their sound. One day when Yasashi accidentally transferred a small cut he received in the fields to Shihio, after asking for his mother to tend to it, Yamata decided to tell him about the cursed blood that ran through his veins. Yasashi didn't want to hurt anyone any more, so to do what was best for their child the family decided that would journey to the hidden cloud once more. Receiving whatever punishment they would face in order to let their child train with the Chigokai, was worth it for their son's safety and happiness.

On the way to the village they were stop by bandits. The family had scarcely any money on them, so the bandits decided to take Shihio instead. Yamata attempted to fight against them but there were to many. Yasashi watched in horror as the bandits slayed his father right in front of his eyes. He screamed out and cried as the bandits closed in on her son, Shihio resisted them harder. Biting and kicking them gaining the strength of ten men as mother do when defending their children. "Run Yasashi." Those were the last words he heard as a blade plunged through her stomach. Yasashi did as he was told and ran from the bandits with tears in his eyes. The 11 year old had a hardened body from plowing fields in the harsh mountains, but he was not going to be able to escape these blood thirsty men. After he stumbled and tripped over a rock, tearing a deep gash on his knee, the men were upon him. A large man grabbed him by his jacket and lifted him up. Yasashi, in a panic, grabbed the man's face. Suddenly blood began to drip from his eyes. The man screamed in pain and let go of Yasashi. Yasashi should have been paralyzed, but he remembered his mother's words. He rand down the path, but he could hear foot steps behind him. He ran with all his might, but they were getting closer. He could hear their veins getting louder and louder, until suddenly a scream interrupted the pounding flow. He turned to see three armed individuals facing off with the bandits.

His saviors announced that they were shinobi of the hidden cloud and they would be taking the bandits in dead or alive. Yasashi watched as the blood covered bandits fought in vain. Their flows severed and interrupted until they grew silent, and only the three shinobi remained. Yasashi had never seen anyone fight with such skill nor the magic they seemed to posses. He approached them cautiously. The ninja were confused at first, but listen to the tale of the tearful child. After a bit of debate they decided to send two members back to the scene of Yasashi's parent's death to confirm his story, while one stayed here to seal the bodies and keep an eye on the frightened boy.

Yasashi sat at the base of a tree while the lone shinobi worked. He thought of the times he spent with his parents, and began to cry realizing if he didn't have the abilities of the Chigokai they wouldn't have ever left their home that day. The shinobi, having finished cleaning up the scene, came over to him a knelt down, introducing himself as kintaro. "It must have been hard, kid..." He paused. "What's your name?" Yasashi answered through the tears. Just then the other two ninja returned, nodding to their captain with a sorrowful yet stern look in their eyes.

"Well Yasashi it seems you were telling the truth. Your parents are dead." The man said bluntly. "Luckily, we were able to save you. We'll take you back to the village and they can decide what they'll do with you." He paused and but his hand on his chin for a second. "I should recommend you for the academy. You'd train to become a shinobi like us. I think you have potential Yasashi! One of those bandits died before we got to him." Kintaro pointed to the boy's knee, which was healed, and then to a large blood stain on the ground where the large bandit had once been. "You'd have to listen to your upper classmen, teachers, and village officials. Your duty would be to protect Kumogakure and her people from harm with your strength. What do you think?" Kintaro inquired.

"Will I be able to be strong like you?" Yasashi asked, the sorrow in his voice turning to determination. "You'll become strong enough to protect what matters." The older shinobi looked into the boy's eyes. He saw strength shining through the and a very small amount of red creeping into the whites. "I'll do it." Yasashi replied simply.

"Good answer Kid. Let's go home." The older Ninja stood up and extended a hand to boy. Yasashi reached and gripped it take the first step upon his journey.

Over the next 2 years Yasashi would train tirelessly, mastering the jutsu, tactics, and knowledge required to graduate in only two years. The 13 year old was now much more powerful standing at the top of his class in practical skills and top three in academics. He had even begun to learn to control the power of blood that lead him down this path. He could easily best the bandits that did in his parents, but it wasn't enough. He would seek more, not only to protect himself but the village that taught him these skills.

Bloodlust - Passive
To a member of the Chigokai clan, blood is the very essence of their powers. This talent is often the very first one they find to show truth of their heritage. The users can hear the blood flowing through the veins of those around them, giving them an edge in combat when finding them.
Rank 1/2/3: Grants +1/+2/+2 Accuracy. The user has a +0/+1/+2 Awareness bonus to Blindshots vs Players and Contracts.

Hemomancer's Gift - Passive
The nature of the Chigokai's power places them directly into harm's way; if not from their enemies, then as a price paid for their own techniques. To wield a power demanding constant sacrifice, their bodies grow strong....or perish.

Crimson Water - Passive
The Chigokai possess the ability to bend blood to their will, and as this power grows the become able to enhance this liquid with their chakra to become a dangerous weapon.
Rank 1: May convert Water and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Blood by paying an additional 20% Chakra Cost. If the user's Bleed rank ≥ 3, they deal +10% Blood damage which can bypass the damage modifier cap.
Rank 2: May convert Water and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Blood by paying an additional 10% Chakra Cost. If the user's Bleed rank ≥ 3, they deal +15% Blood damage which can bypass the damage modifier cap.
Rank 3: May convert Water and Non-Elemental Jutsu into Blood at no extra cost. If the user's Bleed rank ≥ 3, they deal +20% Blood damage which can bypass the damage modifier cap.
Notes:
- The Chigokai automatically has access to the Blood element.
- All techniques used with this are treated as Blood Jutsu.

The Gift - Independent Special Move
Oftentimes it's not a good idea to be on the receiving end of a sword. If you find that you're mortally wounded from the blood loss you've been given then perhaps you would like to put the curse on another. This technique can be devastating.
Rank 1/2/3: Strike a single target at +1 Ninjutsu Accuracy to transfer up to 1/2/3 Bleed ranks from themselves to their target, or vice-versa. For 20 seconds, if the target's Bleed rank ≥ 3, 30% of all chakra costs come from their HP instead of CP.
Cost: 1.5 AP; 2% Max CP
Notes:
- Ranks cannot be transferred onto a target which does not have any open Bleed ranks. Example: if this was used to transfer 3 Bleed ranks to a target at Rank 3 Bleed, only two ranks would be transferred.

Red Thaumaturgy - Independent Special Move
Blood holds the power of all living things, and the one of the greatest powers of the Chigokai is the capability of harnessing it to fuel their own wicked techniques. A Chigokai amidst a battlefield stained with fresh blood is a terrible force....so long as the blood being sacrificed is still warm, that is.
Rank 1: The user gains temporary chakra equal based on one of the two options below.
Rank 2: Jutsu cast with this temporary chakra gain a damage bonus equal to half the user's bonus damage modifier cap.
Rank 3: Jutsu cast with this temporary chakra are increased to their maximum damage bonus modifier.
At all ranks, the user must choose one of the following options;
  • Veneration - The user gains temporary chakra equal 1.5% of their Max CP x total number of Bleed ranks on all targets in battle.
Cost: 1 AP. Increases the user's Bleed Rank by 2 + causes them to immediately take damage from the new Bleed rank.
Notes:
- May be used every-other round.
- Temporary CP is reduced before the user's normal CP. Temporary CP can bypass your maximum chakra points, but cannot stack (a higher amount overwrites the weaker amount). Temporary CP is lost at the end of the round.
- Unless the user has something modifying their damage bonus cap, it is +50%. The Jutsu will gain this bonus even if the user only has 1 temporary chakra at the time of casting (but the remaining cost will come from CP).
- Example: if Veneration increases the user to rank 3 Bleed while their opponent is at rank 5 Bleed, then the user would gain Temp CP equal to 12% of their Max CP.

Annihilating Touch - Passive
Masters of Blood Ninjutsu, Mahoutsukai Chigokai are able to infect any of the victims of their blood techniques with a virulent pathogen that causes rapid combustion of their blood after the expiration of their life. This causes any living creature which is slain by one of their techniques to become a dangerous explosive device in the arsenal of a Mahoutsukai Chigokai.

Rank 1/2/3: When the user reduces a target's HP to 0 or if a target which the user is maintaining a Blood Ninjutsu or Chigokai Bloodline Jutsu on is reduced to 0 HP all of the user's opponents suffer Blood damage equal to 1%/1.5%/2% of the user's maximum CP and have their Bleed level increased by 1.

Notes:
- Targets do not need to be players; anything which has its own HP pool is valid. However, anything created by a Genjutsu will not activate this effect.
- This does not apply if the user attacks anything of their own, or created by something under their control (such as a contract creating a few clones).
- This damage does not affect barriers, and does not break binds or count as an attack.

Grim Alchemy - Passive
Mahoutsukai Chigokai rarely fight their battles alone for their mastery of Blood Ninjutsu allows for them to delve deep into the secrets of forging simulacrums of life. It is for this reason that many Mahoutsukai Chigokai

Rank 1/2/3: The user's Creations have their Accuracy increased by +1/+1/+2, their damage increased by +5%/+10%/+10% and have 15% of their maximum HP restored every 10 seconds. In addition the user gains a +2 bonus to the Blood Ninjutsu Blood Thrall.

Note(s):
- Applies to any Creations the user has command of including Creations stolen from other players using Blood Thrall. It does not apply to Clones stolen using Blood Thrall.
- The bonus to Blood Thrall applies to both the initial check to steal a Creation and to maintaining the effect.

Curse of Black Blood - Blood Ninjutsu
A specialty technique of the Mahoutsukai Chigokai is a blood-thinning curse that causes it's victim's wounds to leak like a sieve while also draining them of their stamina. Those that are afflicted by the Curse of Black Blood for too long find their ability to recover from wounds stymied while drowning in a pool of their own free-flowing life blood.

Rank 1/2/3: Curses an opponent at -3/-2/-2 Accuracy. A cursed opponent loses 2/3/4 HP Modifier every 10 seconds and suffers 10/15/20% additional damage from Bleeding.

Cost: 1.5 AP and 780/975/1,170 CP + 390/490/585 CP/rnd to maintain

Notes:
- Lasts up to 30 seconds.
- Requires a Ninjutsu Check each round against the cursed opponent(s) to maintain.
- HP Modifier reduces the maximum HP of the afflicted opponent and only affects the current HP total if the current HP total would be higher than the new maximum in which case the current HP total becomes equal to the new maximum HP value.

Destiny Bond - Independant Special Move
By sharing blood with an ally, the user of the bond of destiny can extend life itself for a friend in need. This technique has been long sought after for its unique ability in a fight to save the life of a friend. It can have disastrous consequences, however. By sharing the bond, you may end up causing your own death.

Rank 1/2/3: Choose one ally; the user takes 20%/35%/50% of all damage dealt to the bonded ally. Ally receives 20%/35%/50% less damage from all sources.

Cost: 1.5 AP; 2% Max CP/Rnd

Notes:
- Damage is split prior to any Damage Reduction coming into effect. Both the user and the target will have their own individual Damage Reduction, if any, come in to play separately.
- If the bonded ally is knocked out while still bonded, the user of this jutsu loses 50% of their remaining HP from the shock.

Blood Break - Blood Ninjutsu
The most brutal technique of the Chigokai, one that involves both restraining and stealing the lifeforce of a target. This skill directly manipulates the blood within someone, forcefully locking their body in place while simultaneously extracting their blood out of their body through skin and wounds. The blood violently pulled out of the victim of this technique is absorbed by the user, replenishing their own life by draining others.

Rank 1/2/3: Binds the target at -2/-1/+0 Ninjutsu Accuracy. Upon hit, and every 10 seconds afterwards, the target takes 1540/1930/2310 Blood damage and have their Bleed Rank increased by +1 rank. The user regains HP equal to half the damage dealt by this technique + the HP equal to the half the target's current bleed rank.

Cost: 3 Ap, 2290 Cp, 1150 Cp/Rnd

Notes:
- Lasts up to 30 seconds. Requires a Ninjutsu check at the start of each round.
- Once this jutsu is dispelled, the target cannot be effected by it for 10 seconds.
- When bound, the victim cannot move.
- For every 2.5 Ap spent the target has a 15% chance of escaping.
- This bind is broken if the victim takes damage from any source other than this jutsu, or the user attacks the victim. (They have a -3 Dodge penalty to the attack aimed at them though)
- If the user takes more than 10% of their Max Hp in damage during a round, the bind is dispersed.
- If the user uses more than 10% of their Max Cp during a round, the bind is dispersed.
- If this jutsu hits multiple target through some effect, the user gains HP equal to [highest HP absorbed from a single target] + 10% for each additional target.
