Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Sage mode for Contract Mastery
Yukio had always thought with the passing of time he would become accustomed to the practice of sage mode however as he gained experience in its use he slowly began to realize this would not quite be the case like all things in life it would take time to see if the art could be perfected or not and being sat in the garden of the Uchiha household with Kuji feeling the natural energy around him. The Hyuuga had never been able to do so on his own always requiring the slugs assistance to enter the form something he found to be a hindrance rather than helpful on most occasions the wait time always felt longer the need to wait for both himself and Kuji to synchronize putting him on edge.

If this would continue there was always a chance it would bring about his end should that become the case or even be a risk then such a thing was unacceptable by the Hyuuga's standards over the last few months his progress in the area had almost slowed to a complete halt something that made the Captain ponder looking up to his friend with a smile. If this would be the case then why not bring Kuji with him more often it was an interesting prospect one that he was more than willing to indulge in rising to his feet ready to begin his training the Slug never far from his side.[WC: 243]

Concentration for Bloody mess
Wandering across the room Yukio could feel his patience waining though this method of interrogation was a matter of willpower and endurance a game between both parties about who could hold out the longest. From an outsiders perspective the Hyuuga would be winning this bout his query slumped in the chair however they had not spoken a word since there arrival victory would entail a slight of information, a hint or even a murmur, however, this man would give non with this in mind a sigh came to the Hyuuga's lips taking a few more brief strides before stopping eyes laid on the scythe propped against the far wall.

It was a swift motion conceding defeat the Captain would be forced to find another more willing to keep their own lives in exchange for information. Resting a hand on the hilt of the weapon there was no pause bringing the bladed edge out in a wide arc decapitating the target with a single smooth strike only then pausing to let his eyes gaze around the room. Though the atmosphere of broken tools and the mess left behind could send a clear message to the next one brought in this was not Yukio's method of work instead preferring to be subtle and approachable with his means of interrogation snapping his fingers and turning away to allow the room to be given a thorough clean up.

Weapon attunment for Deflection
Looking down at his weapons there was a pause a moment of contemplation to think about his combat style, the events of the last few days had been something of an eye opener for the Hyuuga though he wished to think of himself as having a more direct style of combat this was simply not the case. In reality, he was a strategic and defensive class of combatant preferring to wear opponents down before delivering a fatal blow with this in mind a change in training regime was required returning to the Dojo of the Uchiha household later that day to begin his new ideas.

It would not be his normal training as per the normal focusing more on the abilities of his eyes and thinking back to the brief skirmish with Takeshi there was a single concept that came to mind. Waiting for his opponent to strike the Captain moved his gloves in response not striking back but using the armour plates on the back end of his equipment to deflect blows away from his person eyes watching for minute changes in style of direction of the strikes and as time began to pass he found himself more capable of preventing strikes from hitting all together rather than trying to take damage and respond in kind.[WC: 217]

Standing in the Dojo that day Yukio watched the current of air pass over his skin, wind Chakra style something he'd learned in the early days and come to depend on in that time seeking to improve his already impressed defensive abilities and achieving that goal to some degree. However as more time passed and sparring sessions came and went there was the growing realization that in improving his stronger skills it left the weaker skills to grow more obvious in prolonged combat and if he could not cover that aspect of his fighting style it was certainly going to catch him out sooner rather than later.

This brought him away from the Dojo rather than training of the body what was needed in that moment was training of the mind, to seek clarity and build defenses against Genjutsu something the Captain had always had problems with in the past no matter what efforts were made to prevent it coming to pass. Within his mind there was a vision of an open door the Hyuuga's own visualization of what his mind might as well be in the face of a master of Genjutsu with that realm the next few days would be spent build walls in front of that door, gateways, locks and barriers if Yukio couldn't close that door then he would ensure it was not so easy to get too the man's own willpower being the only line of defense from an assault of the mental kind.

Deflection to Combo Mastery:
If the sparring session with Kenshin had taught Yukio anything it's that the major flaw in his fighting style was a tendency to wear out should his contract partner be taken out of the picture this was something the Hyuuga knew would have to be rectified as much as it was never a bad thing to lean on others when the situation called from it such things were not a luxury always openly available. To that end his training brought him back to the open areas of the Uchiha household the rather full schedule of the ANBU captain meaning that in order to train the various concepts he had in mind.

In the end if he had picked up anything from Kenshin it was combining moves to give the highest level of impact in as short a time as possible could be the difference in turning the tide however training the skill and mastering its timing were two completely different concepts time having to be designated to both in order to fully perfect the art. This came at the loss of some of the Captains other skills defense for offense becoming his state of mind in the weeks to come the normal evasive fighting form of the Hyuuga being warped into something completely new a form based on Combo attacks and restricting movement, making use of whatever weapons Yukio had available at the time of encounter.

This would rarely be seen as a downside however having spent a large portion of his life toying with the idea of different weapon types and taijutsu forms Yukio was more than accustomed to working on the fly with what he had at that moment in time. Over the coming days the Hyuuga's movements would become more fluent, steamline ideas flowing through his mind as to how to chain his taijutsu together for quick impact against targets.


Ambidexterity To Weapon Mastery (Unarmed taijutsu)
Developing his fighting style was never an easy thing never looking for direct advice on how he could improve Yukio forced himself to take steps to find his own flaws and drawbacks finding it a better way to see the picture as a whole rather than relying on others to point out his own weaknesses a harsher lesson coming to realize yourself what your own failures are. To that end the Hyuuga had come to observe the fighting styles of others to a much higher degree than what would normally be expected see how they specialized in different styles depending on how they saw their skill sets the Captain came to wonder if he had been going around things the wrong way.

Where as he'd though about mastering Taijutsu in all his forms it made the fact plainly obvious he would become a jack of all traits master of non, as much as it would give a certain degree of understanding no matter the opponent there was little doubt someone who had become a true master of a single art could quickly and easily overpower one who was unable to stop them. To that end Yukio sought to stop his needless effort to master all forms of Taijutsu instead focusing on Unarmed the form he was most affiliated with and found ease of learning with.

Revising ones weapons when changing combat style was pinnacle after retiring most of the combat gear created in his younger days Yukio sought a more refined set of weapons. With this in mind his thoughts were cast back to creating a weapon with care and precision one that said more about him than words ever could, it was going to be quite the en devour to produce to even a semi decent quality.

By the end the creation was one that could in it's most basic terms be called an elegant one based of the many Katana he'd come across in his lifetime the blade glistened a bright silver, sky blue wrappings coating the hilt, Star like hand guard completing the piece in fine finish.

Yukio's taste for weapons had took something of a turn in recent months preferring more elegant and logical weapons over the old unorthodox arsenal he used to have. With that in mind the Hyuuga sought to create a weapon that would do exactly what it looked like it should the blade in question not meant to cut but meant to crush being abnormally large even by his standards and somewhat cumbersome yet even with this in mind as the Captains eyes gazed over the creation there was a nod and a smile. Though some would find it hideous it didn't bother him much it's purpose was clear and that was all that mattered in the end.

Name: Kānibō

Description: With the appearance of a praying mantis in any normal environment Kānibō could have been mistaken for any normal creature were it not for his size and much darker appearance. The most striking feature about such a being would be the armor plates that cover his body reflecting like stars yet for all their beauty give off a rather ominous feeling a thing that Kānibō is more than aware of such lights coming together in the center of his skull to form a diamond of light that acts as his vision.

His appearance is one derived from numerous beings the Youkai found of interest taking that which he deemed most useful to him in the environment he found himself in settling with his shape and form as a sort of respect to the numerous beings felled under his talons using such an appearance to lure the unsuspecting into his grip. Standing around 7 foot in height this only seemed to enforce his intimidating appearance using even the smallest thing to increase his chances of victory no matter how minor they may have been.

Personality: Though seeming to be a rather bloodthirsty being Kānibō is quite cold and calculating in any given situation only truly giving in to such urges in the moment the hunt comes to an end with the final strike. With such things the Youkai is not one to spend much time standing around though his wisdom gained from years of experience it takes someone of respected position or good standing to gain such knowledge even an attitude he's more than happy to take with his own summoner. This gives his a rather blunt and straight forward manner of speaking though Kānibō could learn to read a situation he sees very little point in such things considering most encounters are simply for the act of the hunt.

The beginning of Kānibō's life was an interesting one seeming to simply pop into existence as but a simple spore like entity the first thing on the Youkai's mind was to discover its purpose, what seemed like a simple question turned out to be quite the opposite spending long periods of time wandering, searching for the answer to that question until he happened upon a scene. What occurred before him would seem normal to most a mantis on a tree branch snatching up prey to consume and sustain itself however this was a first for the small spore.

As he waited and observed the scene connections began to form within his mind, was he really searching for a purpose or would the more accurate statement be he was hunting for one. The Youkai spent no time pondering on such a fact, fact was just that after all at least in his mind, Joining in on the natural way of things seeing it as natural selection among living things. Unlike other beings however this had a rather profound effect on the spore, starting by infecting the mantis he'd been observing Kānibō found he was capable of taking on the traits of those he hunted and killed body morphing and becoming larger with each passing hunt.

Like all things doing such activities his strength only grew with time where as in the beginning his own hunts would give power now he began to feel the life around him doing very much the same thing, his core being becoming attached to natures way of weeding out the weak. This lead to those who lived in the local area to tell stories of the Youkai his legend becoming that of a Ravenous Predator rather than that of the Graceful hunter a fact that he came to accept with the passing of time finding most humans to be trivial prey at best.

All this would change however life finding a way to push the boundaries forcing change and progression wherever it saw fit and on that faithful day Kānibō found himself battered and broken before the feet of his prey, armored shell laying in tatters by broken talons. He always questioned why he'd been allowed to live, it went against the rules, those who are defeated died that was natures law and in that moment the being found a new objective, a new source of power to find and strike down those he deemed stronger than himself using the energy of the fight to fuel the power he craved so much.

Name: Kānibō

Description: With the appearance of a praying mantis in any normal environment Kānibō could have been mistaken for any normal creature were it not for his size and much darker appearance. The most striking feature about such a being would be the armor plates that cover his body reflecting like stars yet for all their beauty give off a rather ominous feeling a thing that Kānibō is more than aware of such lights coming together in the center of his skull to form a diamond of light that acts as his vision.

His appearance is one derived from numerous beings the Youkai found of interest taking that which he deemed most useful to him in the environment he found himself in settling with his shape and form as a sort of respect to the numerous beings felled under his talons using such an appearance to lure the unsuspecting into his grip. Standing around 7 foot in height this only seemed to enforce his intimidating appearance using even the smallest thing to increase his chances of victory no matter how minor they may have been.

Personality: Though seeming to be a rather bloodthirsty being Kānibō is quite cold and calculating in any given situation only truly giving in to such urges in the moment the hunt comes to an end with the final strike. With such things the Youkai is not one to spend much time standing around though his wisdom gained from years of experience it takes someone of respected position or good standing to gain such knowledge even an attitude he's more than happy to take with his own summoner. This gives his a rather blunt and straight forward manner of speaking though Kānibō could learn to read a situation he sees very little point in such things considering most encounters are simply for the act of the hunt.
