Kiri had to admit that this bunch was rather creative, if not, altogether daring. Just then, there was another exam-taker that appeared. He greeted him casually as he took the paper that the boy had reached out. Before the boy could get close to the dome of darkness, however, a long oozing slime would have wrapped itself around Mishiku’s body, stopping him in place, before quickly pulling him back, like an elastic band, situating him just next to Kiri, and probably to his surprise, to a giant blue slug that has now appeared behind the said exam proctor.
“Don’t get too hasty, kid,” said Kiri as he folded the recommendation paper he was given with.
“For now, just observe from here.”
Standing up from where he was earlier seated by the ground, Kiri’s chakra would focus all around him. He could sense the various entities inside the shadowy dome, and he almost chuckled when one of the examinees had apparently made clones with one of it fleeing towards the edge of the dome, only to be stopped by an invisible solid surface, like a lizard squished agains the surface of the obsidian dome. He snickered.
“Don’t try to escape. I’m being patient as is,” he said, hoping the clone would think of a different way, and so the clone did run back to its master.
The other boy wasn’t so loud – chakra-wise – so, Kiri wondered if this Tetsu would be put into a disadvantage. But as for Ikko, he knew better than to expect the boy to be reckless. For once, the ice-prince was showing promise and responsibility. Defensive– thought Kiri, but it wouldn’t be long before the offensive happen with Ryu taking the helm to attack. And just like that, Kiri’s eyes were treated to a wonderful display of summoning a large stonewhale. He had the honor of meeting strong whales before, especially the lovely Dayuu – the preferred summon of his mentor, but this whale seemed uncommon as well, enough for Kiri to take a liking. Still, he’ll see how the rest would fare. Some
“So, Mishiku, was it?” He began to say, as he waved his hand in front of him, as if orchestrating something, before stopping with a fist clenched.
“Question number one. Who is the weakest link among those inside the dome? Tell me and why. Your assessment will be tested.”
Saying so, there was an ominous roar from within the dome. Inside, the tall humanoid shadowy being began to move by expelling a veil of black flames that spread across the area, meeting and fracturing some of the mirrors, if not breaking a few. Then, in it’s wake, he rushed across the surface swing it’s large blade at Ryu’s body.
(RYU
lease roll to see if you dodged this. Roll 1 dice: 15 or higher means you’ve dodged it; if not, you are hit by the blade and 1/3 of your HP is depleted. If you plan to retaliate: refer to the instructions at the bottom of this post, the target is the Shadow Entity).
But that wasn’t all there was. Something else was about them. Something almost inhuman. A grin crossed his face as the entity began to walk clearer into view. Tall, muscular, whose yellow garb drapes from his waist, leaving a touch of black armor across his shoulders, and long white hair, pale skin with mesmerizing red eyes. Feral teeth with a mischievous glance that looked at Ikko’s direction from behind the boy. This was Hogosha, not one to hide his presence.
“You’ve grown, boy. But let’s see if you’ve improved. Then again, I don’t think you’ve met me personally.” At those words, a dark hue would begin to surround the mirrors, like a mist that thickens. But this particular mist is quite dangerous once exposed to human skin.
(IKKO: when leaving the mirrors, roll 1 dice: if 12 or below, you are afflicted by Red Haze [Master rank])
(RYU: if you stay within the vicinity of the mirrors, roll 1 dice: if 12 or below, you are afflicted by Red Haze [Master rank]).
Before it was over, there was another presence within the dark realm. It felt calm, though it had a humanoid shape if someone was trying to see through the chakra. It stood just behind where Tetsu and Akira (not Kano- sorry about that earlier). But without warning, a strange hollow sound would echo across the field. Innocent at first, but soon enough, there was strong colliding force against Tetsu’s erected shield. One, two, three, four, five, six… In quick succession, the sound was a barrage that seemingly did not care until it would break shatter the barrier.
“Don’t forget your partner,” said a calm voice, seemingly alluding to the distracted Akira as the latter was about to be struck by something sharp.
(TETSU: if you plan to interfere, roll 1 dice: if 15, you can step in between a large blade of the shadow entity and Akira; if not, you fail to help.)
(AKIRA: if you want to act in time, whether to dodge or retaliate, roll 1 dice: If 15 or higher, you can move in time; if not, then you are struck by a blade that can deplete 1/3 of your health and deal bleeding. If you plan to retaliate, please refer how to the instructions at the bottom of this post, the target is the Shadow Entity.)
“You seem reliable.” But that wasn’t enough it seemed, as the calmer entity still unknown to most, and standing closer to Tetsu and Akira was just beginning, with a sudden surge of chakra before it disappeared.
(TETSU: roll 1 dice-> if 17 or below, you are struck by Spiritual Anguish Rank 2)
Kiri scrunched up his nose, furrowed his brows and then dropped down to a sit and a loud exhale. He panted for a moment before he recovered and then smiled when he felt a gentle ooze of healing goo from Piucca the large slug.
“Thanks. I knew it would be problematic to do this, but you’re helping me, so that’s fine. Now, let’s see how they’ll handle my ancestors.”
(OOC:
- Same thing. You have 5AP worth of actions. Invest wisely.
- Since I don’t want this to rely solely with stats, hence I encourage you guys to be creative in what you do, some of the damage represented here are not exactly as is during official bmod. However, whenever you see actual damage numbers, just try to imagine how that would be in a descriptive way in terms to your characters.
- I have given rolling instructions within the post for you, that will help determine if whatever course of action you take will be successful or not. They are colored green to be easily spotted, with your individual names listed for each specific potential action. Take note, the rolls are from the perspective of you reacting to said targets. You won’t spend AP unless you are directed to refer to the instructions at the bottom of this post.
- For questions, please contact me, DM or PM
