Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Another day, another class. Kitsune had decided to teach a class at the academy, about the importance of mednins. It’d involve what they do, how they do it, and some basic first aid training. It’d also contain a side lecture on cooking, because most field-nins became malnourished after a while. Notices had gone up on the notice boards around the academy so as to let any interested student know that they could just join up if they wanted to. The class itself was to be held in an auditorium style classroom so the interested students could just jump in and take a seat anywhere they wanted to. Kitsune would bring in portable cooking equipment for that part of the class anyways.

[Meanwhile in a mansion in Cloud]

Kitsune woke up in her bedroom, because yeah, where else did you expect? The kitchen? Not that it was an unreasonable idea for Kitsune to fall asleep in the kitchen, what with her inhuman metabolism, but no. She was in her bed. Remind me to not eat refrigerated sashimi right before bed. Those were some weird dreams… she shook her head as she got out of bed, and headed to the shower. That was always a good start on a day, a shower and some breakfast. Which in Kitsune’s case meant enough to feed ten people. After her shower, she’d dry herself off, get dressed in an outfit consisting of a shitagi, hakama and a kosode with an obi to tie it all together. She’d then proceed to eat her breakfast consisting of cereal, bread with various things on top such as cheese, even a few cakes, and a variety of fluids to wash it all down with.

[Kitsune will show up in the second round, you can use the first round to mingle all you like.]

  • The whole reason why Ro Sutetchi had been shipped off to the cloud was finally here. The Academy. Ro refused to believ it was because he was a difficult child. And he wasn't. He was just 11 years old and tended to act like one. This was also how his fosters got in the habbit of saying 'stop acting your age'. Well, sometimes they just couldn't win. Luckily for them they no longer had to deal with him. Ro was actually looking forward to becoming a ninja. Not necessarily for strength. He just wanted enough power to not be bossed around anymore. He wanted to make enough money to eat food that didn't make him sick and buy those fancy new bright sandles he saw in the shop near his new home.

He'd woken up at a good time. He didn't really think of buying any supplies. He didn't even have a pencil. Still he made his way to the academy hoping that the teacher would provide whatever they needed. Ro arrived pretty early, he realized. So instead of just walking in he perched himself on top of a stone outside of the academy like a bird. He tried to think of who he knew that was joining and instantly remembered the candy girl from just a few days before. "CINA," he called out to the streets. No answer... he hopped down and began the journey inside.

"CINA," he hollered once more when inside of the corridors. She must not have arrived... with a sigh he steered towards a classroom door and pushed it open loudly with both hands. "EXCUSE ME! Sutetchi ro here an-"

It would become apparent to him in a matter of scolding earfulls that this was not his class. Skipping away before any real repremanding would happen, Ro laughed to himself. "Ne, where could Cina be? CINA!" He started to move slower down the hallway, his head whipping to and fro while looking for the redhead.

Maiko sighed, getting out of bed at the loud, annoying sound of her alarm clock. She moved over to her closet, putting on her normal clothing. She then moved to her dresser, and grabbed a brush, and began brushing out her hair. Once done, she put it up and adjusted her single braid. She put on her shoes, then grabbed her bag, containing a pad of paper, a reading book, and a pencil, and opened the door to her apartment. She exited, shutting the door and locking it behind her.

Going down the steps, she began heading towards the academy. She had another class today, and did not want to be late. She waved to a few people as she walked, pausing a couple times to chat. At the gate of the academy, she sighed, then entered. 'This is gonna be a long day' She commented to herself, as she made for the building.

Making her way to the appointed room, she waved to a couple people as she walked. Stopping at the door to the auditorium like room, she looked around. The classroom currently looked empty, but would probably fill soon. She entered, finding a seat to the rear of the classroom and taking out her reading book.

Shindo woke up that morning to the alarm clock going off and ringing in his ear. He reaches over and turns the alarm clock off before sitting up in the bed stretching out and letting out a big yawn. He looked over at Meka sleeping next to him in the bed, he blushed a bit and then poked her on the head, "It's time to wake up and get ready for your first class at the academy." After waking her up he went to the bathroom with his clean clothes tucked under his arm and began to clean himself up. Once he got done with his shower and getting his clothes on he walked out of the bathroom to let Meka take her turn getting ready. He set about making breakfast for the two of them, It wasn't much but he did manage to make them some toast with bacon and eggs. He'll need to go grocery shopping again later that day, they were starting to run out of food. Since Meka started living with him he need to go shopping for food more often but he didn't care he enjoyed her company and besides they were going out now. With a smile on his face he brought over to the table two plates of food and got everything ready on the table like the silverware and beverages. He waited till she had gotten done in the bathroom before he began to start eating his breakfast with her. Once they had gotten done, Shindo grabbed his belt pouch and put the scroll containing both Moe and Black Knight inside. Once Meka had gotten ready as well he grabbed her hand and then made their way out the door and down the steps to the streets.

The streets were starting to just get busy with the merchants getting their wares ready for the coming travelers and house wives getting their groceries for the day. The air was slightly cold but the sun had just started rising in the sky giving off warm rays of light that felt great on his face. He pulled Meka close to him and began to make their way to the academy. The academy wasn't to far from his apartment which was a good thing but also made him a little sad in a way since he wouldn't get to walk with Meka for as long. Though they would be with each other the whole day. Once they arrived at the academy he opened the front door for Meka and let her inside first, being the gentleman he is. After a few minutes they found themselves at the entrance to the classroom which was an auditorium style class. Supposedly their class would be on Medical Nin stuff which he wasn't that interested in but he would like to learn basic first aid and there was also supposed to be a little lecture on field cooking. He couldn't pass that up since he loved to cook and he could use that skill when taking Meka out into the wilderness for hiking and missions. He opened the door and noticed that there was already one student there before him, he knew her from his last class. He believed her name was Aoki Maiko but he wasn't completely sure about that. Him and Meka sat down near the top of the class near the entrance just encase that this class ended up like his last one with the teacher attacking the students.

Shindo woke her up because it was time to go to class at the academy "alright I'm up..."After shindo had got done getting ready Meka to the bathroom to get ready herself. Once she got out she was wearing a white shirt and pants and put her hair up in a ponytail so her hair was not in her face. She exited the bathroom and sat at the table and ate breakfast. Meka has been living with shindo for a few days and getting used to it as they were going out. After she finished her food she put her dish in the sink that had soapy water in it and she went back over to shindo and they both left together.

After they got to the academy and into the classroom that looked like an auditorium. She took a seat next to shindo and waited for the teacher to come in. She was excited to learn about med-Nins and what you have to do if you were to become one.

Shouka thought it was odd how normal the Academy was. She'd come early and wandered around for the better part of the morning, trying to get a feel of where she would be spending the rest of her school life, and she had been expecting to see people sneaking around wrapped entirely in bandages or covered in stitches. Instead, she found people who, for the most part, weren't that distinguishable from regular civilians. Shouka wasn't sure whether to be relieved or underwhelmed.

For the moment, she settled on being lost. The pagoda felt even bigger than it looked, and the thought of being stranded in a random hallway, with no one she knew around her made her stomach churn. She had followed the crowd for a while, trying to get any idea of where something, anything, was happening, but the young girl still wasn't sure where she should be. As she plod along, a notice board right in the corner of her vision caught her attention. The 11 year leaned forward to look at one particular notice- a sign advertising a class about medical ninja. Any student was invited to join. Bouncing on her toes, she quickly read off the location of the class and slipped through the corridors to her new destination.

As she approached where she thought the class should be, a nearby shout drew her attention. A familiar shock of white hair caught her eye as she turned the corner. '...Ro-san?'
Shouka scurried up to the boy, ears hot. “H-Hi, Ro-san! You don't need to shout.” She shot a glance at the nearest classroom door. That was probably where the class that the notice had been referring to was, and, unluckily, it was also the one most likely to have heard the yelling. She covered her face with her hands, wanting desperately to have arrived minutes before to greet the boy before he started walking around yelling her nickname.
Still, the thought of having someone familiar attend the class with her was more than enough to make her forgive all that. A smile broke onto Shouka's face.
Are you going to the medical class, too? I thought I was stranded in this huge school, until you came along.” She walked to the door and pushed it open, looking expectantly at Ro, “We should probably get in before the teacher gets here.

Finally, after days minutes of searching Ro finally found Shouka. Or more she found him. His face split into a grin. He'd always been able to pull his lips apart and up until his grin seemed to resemble an overripe watermelon split open. His pace matched hers, covering the short amount of distance between them. "Waa Cina-chan I thought you weren't coming! You're here for the med thingy class ya?"

"Ya, ya you're right. Gotta get to class. Which one... which one... AH!" Ro spun around and looked at the doors, a palm to his temple until he had recognized the correct door number. He walked up to the closed door and peeked in through the window. Yes, it looked like their class. Putting both hands in front of him he forced the door open. It swung, hitting the wall behind it with a loud bang.

"HELLO," Ro cheered loudly, stretching the 'o' sound. "Sutetchi Ro and Cina-chan here! We look forward to working with you!" After his loud entrance he took note of the people already in the classroom. Another boy and girl seemed to already know each other and were sitting together. He noticed a brown-haired girl not too far away either.

He also noticed that there wasn't a teacher. Ro skipped down a couple steps of the classroom and while he considered trying to mess with the teachers desk-which was very tempting-he decided against it for now and instead decided to bother some other classmates. He moved towards the brown haired girl sitting alone and took a seat on the bench besides her. "You excited for this-" he realized he didn't know her name and hesitated. Instead of asking like a normal person he took notice of her mix-matched eyes. He'd never seen anyone with eyes of different colors. People thought his red ones were kinda odd sometimes but nothing like this. Ro grinned. "Forest-chan. You're eyes look like a forest! Waa so cool," he exclaimed.

His exclamation was followed by a loud. OI! Cina I got us good seats!"

Shindo sat there next too Meka waiting for the teacher and other students to arrive, it had been pretty quiet so far with just the three of them in class. Suddenly the door swung open slamming into the wall and two students walked in. The red haired girl seemed to be a lot more shy and reserved than the boy with white hair and red eyes who came in shouting and announcing there names. He watched the boy walk down to where Maiko was sitting and he seemed to begin bothering her and then called up to his friend with the red hair who's name he had said was Cina-chan? It seems that he was referring to her with a nickname possibly but he wouldn't know until she introduced herself to the whole class. At least he knew the boy's name who like to be obnoxious and loud which were two traits that he hated most in people. He turned to Meka with his hand covering the top of his face sighing, "Jeez I hope this kid isn't going to be like this for the whole time were here or he's going to drive me freaking crazy." He removed his hand from his face and grabbed Meka's hand, "So how do you like the academy so far? I know that this is your first class but it will be my second, I just hope it doesn't turn out like it did." He looked down toward the loud boy and pointed at him, "Though with the way he is acting I'm sure that something bad is going to happen." He let out a big sigh and turned his attention back to Meka and smiled while blushing a bit.

She leans against Shindo and watched the others being loud which she did not like and looked up at shindo "I really don't like loud noises so I hope he isn't going to be so loud..." You see that her eyes are full of fear and she is kind of shaking from the boy who was shouting. "I wish he would stop shouting in front of the class... I just want this class to be peaceful and for it to go smoothly as posible..." She blushed a tiny bit as well and stayed by shindo not wanting to leave his side in the class.

Kitsune went out her door and warped over to the academy to grab the equipment she’d need for the cooking part of the lesson, along with a few first aid kits. She put them into a summoning scroll, before warping her way into the classroom. Upon coming out of her warp swirl she was sitting on the teacher’s desk with her legs crossed as she looked upon her students. ”Greetings kiddies.” she said with her melodious voice and smiled. ”And welcome to this medical slash cooking class. I’m Baroness Dr. Professor Shinrya Kitsune, Ph.D, MD., head of the Youritsu, Chief of Surgery and Research, but, for you guys, Sensei will do.”
[Alright kiddies. It’s class time!]

She hopped off her table and proceeded to roll out the summoning scroll containing the medical supplies and placed her hand on it, bringing the first aid kits out onto her table. ”This is a standard issue first aid kit. It contains the necessary supplies to handle minor wounds and anyone can learn to use the supplies properly. By the end of this lecture, you’ll know how to bandage wounds, treat cuts, sterilize tools and hopefully, also know how to cook a presentable meal.” she said and grinned.

”Well then. I’ll ask some questions and see if you already know the answers to them, when you answer, please introduce yourselves to the class. First off is…” she said and trailed off as she looked at her students before pointing at the redhead (Shouka) ”You, the redhead. Do you know the initial procedure to treat a patient with when providing first aid?” she asked of her, not expecting a correct answer, or even an answer at all. If she got one, she’d be surprised, and if it was correct, she’d be amazed. But hey, it wouldn’t be the first time Kitsune had been surprised by her students.

The sudden appearance of a redhead woman made Shouka shrink back suddenly, blinking.
She'd seen ninjas teleport in and out of locations before, but it would take a little while to get used to it happening right in front of her. The girl scurried up to the seat Ro had picked out, placing herself between him and 'Forest-chan', whom she'd glanced reading a moment ago. She gave the other girl a quick 'hello' before placing her attention back to the front of the class.

Cooking and medicine were entirely new disciplines for Shouka. She'd learned some arithmetic, some economics, and how to make sales. She'd even learned a bit about jutsu- but making people better was shiny and new. She could just imagine 'wow'ing customers with her ability to instantly revive someone, or make cuts disappear- that was what medics did, right? With that in mind, Shouka leaned forward, trying to catch every word that came out of the teacher's mouth.
She was barely even able to follow her introduction. She tried to recall all the titles, she really did, but attempting to keep track of them made her head whirr. The girl glanced around at the other students briefly, wondering whether they were as confused as she was, but the teacher making something appear out of midair snapped her attention right back.
The first aid kit was familiar enough- she'd seen one a few times, and was pretty sure they had one at home, though she'd only ever seen her Mother use it to pull out band-aids and disinfectant.

You, the redhead. Do you know the initial procedure to treat a patient with when providing first aid?

Shouka looked around- she was, in fact, the only redhead in class besides the teacher. And she'd been hoping to hear some other answers first, so she could structure her answers after everyone elses'.
'I guess that's what I get for being the last one in...' Shouka braced herself and stood up, smiling slightly and letting her eyes fall around the room. "Nice to meet you all. My name is Sanohe Shouka," She narrowly resisted the urge to end her brief introduction with 'not Cina', "and the first thing someone does in first aid is..."
She hesitated, grasping at the corners of her memory for something, anything that had to do with using a first aid kit. It was no use, though, all she could remember was the bright white box sitting pretty in their bathroom cabinet, unused. 'Come on, anything. Wait, what about...?'
She vaguely recalled reading a book when she was 10, about superhero dogs or something. In one page, the monk dog fainted and his sidekick had shouted 'check his pulse' or something similar. Shouka doubted dog first aid applied to real life, but it was better than nothing, right?
"...check the patient's pulse." She added, quickly, trying to sound confident over her sureness that her answer was wrong, before sitting down and waiting for the next person's answer. She was pretty sure her answer was wrong, but she tried to sound somewhat confident.

Shindo turned to Meka and smiled, "Don't worry I'm not going to leave you side while were in class." He looked around the classroom and didn't see anyone else showing up, he didn't even see the teacher yet. "She must be late or having troubles or something." he thought to himself as he sat there holding Meka's hand. All of a sudden there was a swirl in the air centered around the teachers eyes in the front of class and a woman with bright red hair appeared on top of the teachers desk. She then addressed the class, ”Greetings kiddies.” she said with a rather wide smile on her face, ”And welcome to this medical slash cooking class. I’m Baroness Dr. Professor Shinrya Kitsune, Ph.D, MD., head of the Youritsu, Chief of Surgery and Research, but, for you guys, Sensei will do.” After she was done talking and introducing herself she rolled out a large summoning scroll that looked a lot like the one he used but much larger. Out of the scroll popped out several medical supplies and kits which she then placed on the table, ”This is a standard issue first aid kit. It contains the necessary supplies to handle minor wounds and anyone can learn to use the supplies properly. By the end of this lecture, you’ll know how to bandage wounds, treat cuts, sterilize tools and hopefully, also know how to cook a presentable meal.”

Shindo listened to her every word making sure not to miss anything in case there was to be a test on this stuff later, you never know when you will need to know this stuff. ”Well then. I’ll ask some questions and see if you already know the answers to them, when you answer, please introduce yourselves to the class." She pointed to the other girl in the classroom who also had bright red hair and asked her, "Do you know the initial procedure to treat a patient with when providing first aid?” The girl looked pretty shy and nervous when she got called out to answer the question and introduce herself. She stood up and introduced herself as Sanohe Shouka, "So that's what her name really was?" he thought to himself since that one boy kept yelling and screaming her name as Cina-chan. She seemed to look around the room trying to figure out a good answer the the teachers answer and then she suddenly said, "...check the patient's pulse.". Shindo thought about it for a few seconds and thought that that was a pretty good answer considering that she was still a academy student. He waited for a few minutes to see if anyone else was going to speak up but no one did. He knew Meka was to shy to respond unless he was to do it first, He raised his hand and said, "My name is Nakamura, Shindo and the first thing you should do is assess the persons wounds and treat them accordingly." He looked over to Meka and smiled, "Okay now it should be easier for you to introduce yourself." He placed his hand on her shoulder to reassure her that everything was fine.

After a few minutes she saw the teacher apear into the classroom from a swirl and she jumped a little because she did not expect that the happen and she hid a little behind shindo. She squeezed his hand a little as the one girl named shouka introduced herself, and then shindo introduced himself, she was really scared to talk infront of the class and she hid herself behind shindo a little "my name is fuji, Meka and the first thing you should do is to make sure the person is breathing clearly...." She stayed a little hidden behind shindo until she could finally feel safe but that wouldn't be for a while.

A thin beam of light, like a finger, projected softly onto his face from between the drapes. His eyes wrinkled, and his throat cleared as he awoke.

“Ughh. ”

A sudden migraine spiked, since the light was very intense in contrast to the dark bedroom. He held his head with one arm, as his squinted eyes finally resolved the scenery. He instantly remembered that today was the big day; his first class at the academy! Naturally, he looked over to the large grandfather clock in the corner of the room to see how much time he had to prepare. The class, as he recalled, would commence at--

“Holy crap! I'm late!!”

Like adrenaline, a sudden rush of hot blood pumped through his veins. He jumped out of bed in anxiety, and scrambled around the dark room like a wild, drunken animal. Sweat starting to form on his forehead, he grabbed a toothbrush and toothpaste, some clothes, and hurled himself out the window! From the two-story building, he was cushioned by a stall tapolin, and onto the streets he went.

Towards the academy he pelted himself, taking precarious shortcuts and brushing his teeth all the while. Lastly, he tossed his clothes over a local hot spring inn, all over to the other side of the street, and made his way in-- breaking down a few paper doors. Suddenly, a loud splash was heard, following the screams of several women, which seemed to aroused the entire neighborhood. A few moments later, the silver haired boy finally emerged from the other side of the inn, wrapped in a towel. He grabbed his bundle of clothing, and proceeded, all the while, thinking of what the class would be like. . .

Some minutes later, he reached upon the doors of the academy, to the side of it so as to be unseen. With a sense of espionage, he placed an ear to the wall, and heard a few echoes:"... Check the patient's pulse... make sure the person is breathing... "

He deduced correctly, two voices, most likely responses to the lecturer's questions. Okay, they were talking about someone's health, but to what end? He needed more information, thus decided to remain outside for a few seconds longer. Being late was one thing he hated, but what he hated more, was not knowing. He simply refused to go in like that.

He waited in silence-- or so he thought, for his stomach made a cry for help, having skipped breakfast this morning. . .

Sayomi yawned, stretching as she moved through the house. She entered the kitchen, popping in toast and waiting for it to cook completely. When it popped, she buttered it and started back to her room

"Sayomi!!! Your late! Get going, or I will drag you there by your ear!" Her mother shouted at her, from the top of the steps.

"Alright. I`m going. Jeez."She replied. She grabbed her bag, then slipped into her shoes. Then, still eating, she left the house, leaving the door wide open. She set course for the academy, walking. She was already late, and didn`t care if she ended up in trouble.

She reached the academy gates, then entered, finishing off her toast. She entered the academy, heading towards the planned out classroom. She stopped in the hallway, a few doors down from where she was supposed to be, and stare out the window. She was watched other students train. Sighing, she turned, pushing the door open and walking in. She didn`t try to hide the fact of being late, and instead made course for the back wall.

At the back wall, she set her bag down, turning and leaning against the wall. She set her eyes upon the teacher, ignoring the answer to an unknown question.

Maiko did not respond to the others loud speaking, nor did she do anything when people came to sit by her. As the teacher entered, she fixed her eyes on her, watching.
”And welcome to this medical slash cooking class. I’m Baroness Dr. Professor Shinrya Kitsune, Ph.D, MD., head of the Youritsu, Chief of Surgery and Research, but, for you guys, Sensei will do.” Was about what Maiko caught of the teachers words.

”Well then. I’ll ask some questions and see if you already know the answers to them, when you answer, please introduce yourselves to the class. First off is…”The sensei said, then pointed a to red haired girl. ”You, the redhead. Do you know the initial procedure to treat a patient with when providing first aid?”The sensei finished.

"Nice to meet you all. My name is Sanohe Shouka, and the first thing someone does in first aid is..." The girl paused, seemingly thinking. "...check the patient's pulse." The girl, Shouka, finished.

"My name is Nakamura, Shindo and the first thing you should do is assess the persons wounds and treat them accordingly. Okay now it should be easier for you to introduce yourself." Another boy, one she already recognized, said. He seemed to refer to another girl, one who was sitting next to him.

"my name is fuji, Meka and the first thing you should do is to make sure the person is breathing clearly...." The girl sitting next to Shindo said.

she finally saw the chance to speak, "My name is Aoki Maiko. The first and foremost thing you should do is check on your surroundings. If you were to treat someone, it is best to do that in a safe location, if at all possible. If it`s safe, then you would check on the others breathing. "She said, Answering the question. she stood, during her words, then sat down again in the end.

Ro listened patiently-odd for him he knew- to cina's answer. Then he heard the other students answer. To be honest he didn't really process what they were saying, and had almost forgotten the question by the time it was his turn. He turned to the teacher with a large grin. He had a confident look on his face as he stood up to answer, stating that he obviously knew the right answer. What was the question again?

Well anyways, he put his fingers to his forehead in a salute and cheered loudly, "Hi! I'm Sutetchi Ro! But you can call me Ro-kun pretty lady sensei! No need to be formal. And I know the correct answer it's..." He dramatically swung his hand from his forehead and out in a thumbs up state. "The first thing you do is ask them what's wrong!"

He put his hand down and plopped back to his seat. Yes, his confidence was provided by a false sense of always being right but hey, he tried at least. He turned to Cina and gave her a grin. "I did good huh? Yeah. But it's okay your answer was almost as good as mine," he winked.

Kitsune nodded at Shouka’s introduction, comitting her name to memory, and then listening to her answer. ”Close, but no~” Kitsune said with a smile before looking at Shindo as he raised his hand. She nodded to him and he introduced himself. Another name to the memory banks. ”Well sure, that’s one thing you could do, but it’s not the right thing.”
Then came Meka’s turn to introduce herself, and while she did so, she hid herself slightly behind Shindo. ”There’s no reason to be scared Fuji-chan. And your answer is correct.” Kitsune said with a smile.

Then, from the hallway, she heard a loud growling, like the sound a stomach makes when it requires food. She shook her head, and warped from the desk to the door, opened it and pulled the student inside ”Take a seat student-kun. Your stomach will enjoy the second half of the lecture.” she said and grinned before warping back to the desk after closing the door. Only to see it open and see yet another student enter the classroom, and head straight for the back wall to stand there. Two late students, tsk tsk. Hopefully they’ll do fine on the test I’ve prepared. she thought to herself and shook her head a tiny bit.

Then, when Maiko introduced herself, she actually stood up and said to check your surroundings, and if it was safe THEN check breathing. This was a student that knew things. ”That’s thinking like a shinobi. Well answered Maiko-chan. You’re correct. It’d be rather unfortunate if your enemies were to stab you in the back while you were working, or otherwise incapacitate you. So yes. Always check your surroundings before you begin treatments.” Kitsune said and nodded. Then, the loudmouth of the class spoke up, and made Kitsune almost visibly cringe.

She blinked a few times, then shook her head. ”I’m sorry Ro-chan. Your answer was incorrect.” she said with a smirk, intentionally using chan rather than kun. ”No, as I said, Maiko had the right answer. Check your surroundings, THEN check your patients airways. If you hear breathing you move on to the next step. Can anyone tell me what that step might be?”

Come on, come on, Hajime constantly thought to himself as he dashed down the road to the academy. He had woken up much later than usual and, in his groggy stupor, had to force himself out of bed and try getting ready without making himself look like a complete mess. By the time he left his house, he knew he was already late for the class he signed up for but figured it'd be better to get there late than to never show up; although the thought of what would happen to him when he arrived late was constantly bothering him with each hurried step he took. Memories of Manabu's class, even though Hajime wasn't the direct target of that craziness, made him wonder what this teacher would do to late students.

Since he had been running almost non-stop since he woke up, he stopped to catch his breath at the first staircase he came to and then looked at the piece of paper that had been clutched in his hand. Luckily, at least if he had gotten the layout of this building correct, he wasn't too far off from the classroom. With another deep breath he went off running again, most of his attention on the room numbers as he went by, coming to a sudden halt in front of the room he was supposed to go to. Peeking through the door he saw quite a few students already seated, two of which he had a previous class with: Maiko and Shindo. It seemed like everyone in the room was pretty engaged, so maybe they wouldn't notice him if he snuck in the room. After looking to see what unoccupied seat was closest to the entrance, he opened the door as quietly as possible and took very careful, very light steps into the room. If anyone were to look at him, they would probably laugh at how ridiculous he looked.

He managed to take his seat while being relatively unnoticed, at least in his mind he was, and only managed to pick up "Can anyone tell me what that next step might be?" Not knowing exactly what they were talking about before he arrived, he just sat in his seat and tried to bring as little attention toward himself as possible for now; maybe he could blend in.

[Late, but present! Annnd slightly disheveled.]

Shindo sat there and listened to the rest of the students introduce themselves and one by one answer her question. After a few minutes he watched two new students come in rather late but at least they were in time to listen to the teachers question. He listened to the teacher tell him that he had gotten it wrong but thankfully Meka had been right about what to do in the situation. He looked over to her and smiled, "Isn't that awesome, I'm so proud of you." he lifted his hand and sat it on top of her head and started to pet her. After she had finished talking he heard another student come in through the door and looked over and saw Hajime trying to sneak into the classroom again like the first time he had seen him in Manabu's class. He just shook his head and turned his attention back to the teacher who then asked the question, what they should do for the next step after assessing the battlefield and checking their airways. Shindo sat there in the thinker position and thought about what he should say to her question. He wasn't very good at medical stuff like this, just your basic stuff like cuts or scrapes maybe the occasional stumped toe. After a bit of thinking he turns to Meka and asks her, "What do you think we should do in that situation? I can't really come up with anything at the moment." He sat there and waited for her answer patiently hoping that the teacher hadn't heard him ask someone else what they should say.
