Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sara sat in the front of the class, at the desk where the instructor was meant to sit. It was a first for her, being in the big chair. One of her mission objectives while in the cloud country was to show off her capabilities to the denizens of that which were the shinobi of cloud. Or rather, she might have been the denizen at this time. She hadn't managed to much of that really, her only skills being shown were during an interrogation of a would be prisoner, coming from a not so forthright battle that lead to the temporary shutdown of the cloud's arena. And that barely touched upon any manner of Medical skills. So she pushed to be allowed to teach the younglings a thing or two about medicine.

It was a shame that her skills were more meant for combat, then for laboratory like so many she had seen so far. Sure healing in a peaceful, sanitary and calm place was nice and all, but.... so little of that could be afforded to most shinobi. Combat was where everything happened, and knowing when to heal, and when to fight were important matters to distinguish.

The room was silent as of now, her eagerness getting the best of her. She was a little scared. She hadn't wanted to mess this up. 'Eyes were watching' so to speak. What could happen? Worst case scenario, she could push students away from the course of medicine. No, that wouldn't be the worst case. Worse case, no one showed up. Ya..that would be bad. Sara breathed in deeply, ten minuets until the class started. Sweat beaded on her forhead. Would the students of cloud even want to learn from a leaf ninja? They seemed like a kind people, but from experience she knew there was usually some animosity towards foreigners. The breath left her mouth in a long stream. So much to teach...wait. What should be her lesson plan? This was going to be a disaster!! The young girl slammed her head onto the table, the thud echoing as scorch marks burned the table, and filled the room with it's odor.

Description: An adorned ring, worn by Sara, it was an item passed down to her by her father. Where he got the ring was never revealed to her. A few days after being handed the ring, while training, the ring split into two, changed from gold to black and white, and some words ascribed on the ring appeared. Sara didn't question the reasoning, the why, and just placed the other ring onto her finger. If that wasn't odd enough, the rings passed on odd abilities to the young girl. This item had possessed the power of releasing and manipulating her chakra on it's own, forming it into that of an element she is capable of utilizing. Though recently it has changed, for having warn it nonstop, her chakra still bleeds in response to it's power.

It was a beautiful day outside, birds were singing, flowers were... well... still frozen over (Lighting weather, gotta love it) but TRYING to bloom, on days like this, kids like Akemi really should be outside....

But the promise of additional knowledge about her newfound medical jutsu prowess was too good to pass up, so here she was back at the academy.

She was dressed to heal; her hair cut short and carefully brushed out of her eyes, her crimson-dyed medical scrubs fit comfortably around her small frame, and her multitude of pockets were filled with an assortment of items more or less typical to her profession: a small tablet and pen for taking notes, a few assorted containers for pills and bandages, and a syringe or two filled with some sort of medication. Aside from the usual medical gear, she also had a small bracelet made of silver beads and a cruciform symbol held together by string- those knowledgeable about Lightning's religious traditions might recognize it as a miniaturized Tenouzan rosary; while the rosary bracelet could be easily passed over as a statement of faith or fashion choice, even a cursory examination of it by those trained in the matter would reveal that it was, in fact, some sort of tool for helping to control chakra.

As she finally made her way to the classroom, Akemi took a deep breath and took her first step inside. What she saw surprised her quite a bit.

The teacher (or at least the person she assumed was the teacher) didn't look much older than her, in fact they seemed to be about the same age- and if anything Akemi was probably the taller of the two girls! But still, the other girl was probably Akemi's senior when it came to actual experience, so Akemi did her best to shrug off any unease she felt... speaking of unease, Akemi was picking up on some level of discomfort.

"You don't have to be tense..." Akemi quipped as she moved into the classroom "... we don't bite, well, except for the Inuzukas. But that's kinda their thing, isn't it?" a somewhat cheap attempt to lighten the mood with humor. It had worked for Akemi in the past, so what's the worst that could happen? Assuming the teacher didn't kick her out immediately for the lame joke, Akemi would go on to find her seat, choosing to sit in the front of the class and away from the door unless told to do otherwise.

The small girl in the front didn't even bother to look up. It was just about that time, and only one person showed up. She let out a loud sigh. 'Well....at least one person showed? That... seems positive. Maybe others will as well?' The girl made a comment about her being tense, and while Sara dragged her head off the table, "perhaps, we will see..." She continued on making a joke about the dog clan, and she laughed, remembering the one from her own class. "It's the barking you have to watch out for. And that tends to be universal." Sara stretched her arms and leaned back in the chair then pushed herself to her feet. She walked in front of the desk and towards the girl, speaking with a questionable tone. "You think anyone else is going to show. I half expected this to be a popular class." She didn't give any attention to the fact if she was the instructor or not, though she had been sitting in the big chair before. Either she was, or a problem student.

The young girl tried to make small talk with the other in her class, trying to get a feel for her knowledge base. There was very little hiding of much from her. "Been practicing for a long time? Medicine I mean." Sara kept her supplies tucked away, including her headband per usual. It wasn't something she flaunted much. "What...um specialties are you into?" That was at thing in this country. It's medical program was much more advance and specific. In leaf and earth, it was more generic. Either lab work, or lab work. Sara still wasn't sure what direction she was going to take this class. Either they would be victims, or combatants. Maybe both.

Akemi took a look around, aside from herself and the other girl the room was empty; "I was kinda expecting to see more trainees here... I wonder why no one's showing up?" she thought aloud. Did no one else feel like coming? Their loss, Akemi figured- although she was actually looking forward to meeting some of her peers in the medical branch. Oh well, one new acquaintance will have to do for now.

Akemi took the other girl's acceptance of humor well, and gave a rather relaxed smile. The conversation then turned to medical work, and Akemi's expression betrayed some degree of embarassment. "I've only been an apprentice medical ninja for about a year now; I was brought into the village kinda late." Akemi explained, rubbing her head in an obvious display of awkwardness "I've been trying to find my place here, I'm good enough at healing and ninjutsu I guess- but mostly I've just been taking vitals, giving immunizations, and filling in when one of the administrative workers is sick. Every so often I'll get sent to the lab or deployed in the field, but I'm still a rookie, so I still have a lot to learn before I'm allowed to perform any major surgeries." was she downplaying her skills? Maybe, just a little, but it was still a mostly accurate self assessment.

After a short pause, Akemi twitched slightly- as if some switch had been thrown in her mind. "Oh, there is one thing I'm good at. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about it though. It's not exactly related to medicine, or not the usual kind most med-nin practice." she said somewhat nervously. She was debating whether to follow up on that statement when another realization poked into her mind.

"Oh, I'm Akemi, by the way. Nice to be working with you, I guess?"

Small Class is Small (and Short Bus is Short?)

She had her interested now. New for the most part, and apparently had some skill in something that was related to medicine, or might not have been. She just had to know. Before she could ask her about it, the girl jumped ahead, and gave her name. "Oh, right. Sorry, um..I guess that would be a better place to start. Greetings Akemi, I am Yaku. I have been practicing medicine for.." She started counting on her fingers. "Um..I...lets say as far back as I can remember I..ya." It sounded right. She lost track of when that was, but it certainly was a while. And, well it might have been best the way she had phrased it. Her young age would most likely have the number sound low anyways. "So...um. Oh, And I hopefully will be able to impart some of my knowledge to you, I guess. Right!" She was still unsure of what she would teach now. She expected a bigger class. It would be much harder to do what she wanted with only a single person, but.... her first few words were softly spoken, then raising as she realized she said it out loud, "Well...hopefully it won't be cruel...Oh, so! What were you going to say before? About that, thing you were skilled at?"

Start there, move on wards. Sara had hopes that it would not be genjutsu, or support skills. Though it might make things a little easier if she had some knowledge greater then a student in the subject. Unlikely given how she had only been practicing medicine for a year. And she was around her age it looked. Though, hey, sometimes that doesn't mean squat. Maybe she had been practicing as a core shinobi, or even ANBU like she. Well, it would be a perfect time to find out.

"So....um. Well, my practice does take me into the medical facilities, just like any medical practitioner. But I shine more on the field. I am a combat medic. The chaos of the field can be hard for some, and at one point or another, there is going to be a high chance you will have to do such. So, what I would like to talk about is combat. I...am not exactly sure what they teach in the academy here, but. I would imagine you have had some experience in combat practice right?" Hopefully she wasn't a complete shut-in. That would make things extremely hard.

"In a combat scenario, most of the time medics are left in the back of the field, away from any actual combat. Most don't shine here, and more so, your job is to heal those that have fought, in order to get them back into the field as quickly as possible. Now, that isn't to say you aren't skilled at combat. If you are, then great. There will be those times in large operations where you will be expected to follow such orders. But in small units, it is difficult to allow for such luxuries, you know? So in combat, how would you act? Are you a fighter? A supporter? Or both?"
