Yelling, confusion and nervousness filled the air. The old lady was not breathing at all. She just lied there motionless. She was dying and the trio of students didn’t know what to do. Oyochi left his team, something that was the ultimate slight and ultimate offense in a world where people lived and died by relying on others.

Chi was the first react appropriately starting CPR. Underneath her hands, she could feel the ribs of the elder cracking as she attempted to make her heart beat. If Oyochi was scarred by his mistake, Chi was probably getting scarred by this feeling of rawness, of life and death, of what their job was going to become.

Kyo then made probably the best decision of help. Go get help. He would disappear for three minutes as he ran to the trauma clinic. He would return though, return with a medic whom immediately took over. The now pair of students would stand there in shock as they watched the medic attempt to save the elderly woman’s life. Eventually, the medic was joined by three more as they were able to stabilize her and bring her back from the brink of death.

The old lady was removed from the house, and carried off to the trauma clinic to see if she was going to be able to be saved. The medics would question the pair, write up a report of what happened and would send it along to the ANBU to see if they would want to investigate what happened on this day.​

[legend="[size=4]Clearing the Streets[/size]"]The whole thing was like a blur. Kyo went for help and Chi could do nothing but try not to cave the old woman's chest in. The cracking of the bones, and this whole experience in general, was not something a 10-year-old should experience. She waited impatiently for Kyo to return with help, and when he did she was relieved to be able to stop. She couldn't do anything other than try and keep her going long enough for the medics to arrive. The whole time the shinobi were questioning them she couldn't help but think about what if help didn't come in time. What if she died. It would have been her fault, at least that's how she felt. She decided she wasn't going to let this happen again, she wanted to protect everyone in the village. She decided in that moment she was going to learn to be a medic, so she wouldn't have to go through that horror again. Hopefully, she thought, Oyochi would pay for what he did and what he could have done.

At least it was all over now. For now. DUN DUN DUN[/legend]

It was a long walk home after everything was said and done, the boy not finding the energy to break off into a run as he was used to. He walked along with Chi, neither saying anything, an uneasy silence hanging between them. And when their paths parted only whispered goodbyes would be passed before going towards his own house, his mind buzzing with questions, the boy never having felt so troubled before. He needed a shower and hopefully he could get a good night's sleep, put this whole day behind him.
